Hotel Bagues

We only had one night in Barcelona before a cruise. This hotel and its staff made us question if we should cancel and stay there for our vacation. The staff was incredible, very attentive and helpful. The rooms were very nice, spacious, nice little balcony, and very comfortable. The hotel outside the rooms was very well decorated, great art, and the pool area was perfect to relax. The location in the Gothic Quarter was amazing also. So many beautiful historic sites right nearby. There are also many restaurants and shops steps out the door. The onsite restaurant was excellent, we only had breakfast there, but am confident every meal would be perfect. We will be back to visit Spain and Barcelona and this will be our first choice for our stay.

Absolutely fabulous! We stayed in the diamond suite and were totally spoilt by staff. As soon as we arrived we were able to relax as we were in more than capable hands! It’s clear that the staff, from reception to cleaning team, enjoy what they do as their service is outstanding. Hotel is in an excellent location, interiors are gorgeous and clean. This place is a total gem!

This is our fourth time in Barcelona, and we have stayed in last Ramblas before. We are also loyal members/customers of Hilton. And, I must say, we had the best experience we ever had at a hotel in Barcelona and possibly Europe as a whole. Their staff was lovely, amenities and accommodations were superior. Locations is perfect to experience the culture, architecture and food in Barcelona. Until next time

We stayed at Hotel Bagués for two nights after our cruise before flying back to the United States, and it was a wonderful place to relax and recharge. The interior design is absolutely stunning. Every detail—from the colors and textures to the artwork, lighting, and signature scent—creates an elegant yet calming atmosphere. I really enjoyed the setting of the hotel, which felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and the rooftop pool was a serene escape after a day of exploring. It was fun watching the occasional seagull stop by for a swim, parrots flying overhead, and people watching from above on La Rambla. Our only drawback was Room 202, which overlooked the alley. There was nearby street construction, and our visit coincided with the beginning of the Sant Joan holiday. The celebrations lasted well into the night with lots of cheering and excitement, making it difficult for me to sleep. (My husband, however, slept right through it! 😄) Next time, I’d simply request a room away from the alley. Overall, Hotel Bagués is a beautiful boutique hotel with outstanding hospitality, a relaxing atmosphere, and an excellent location for exploring Barcelona.
