Yesterday, Barcelona was hit by an unprecedented torrential downpour. Around midnight, my husband found himself stranded near this hotel; the rain was pouring, he couldn't hail a taxi or book a ride-share, and his umbrella had broken. He asked the front desk if he could borrow an umbrella—even though at least five were clearly visible—promising to return it first thing the next morning and offering to leave a deposit or his ID number. However, the staff flatly refused, claiming the umbrellas were reserved exclusively for hotel guests. A kind guest who witnessed the scene offered to borrow one on his behalf, but the staff still refused, going so far as to demand that my husband leave the lobby immediately in front of that guest. Ultimately, he was forced to walk home in the torrential rain; by the time he arrived, he was soaked to the bone and running a fever. My husband is an honest and forgiving man; although he told me what happened, and told me to just let it go . But I cannot let it go. My husband and I have traveled the world and stayed in countless hotels; I know full well that the quality of a hotel isn't defined by its décor or location, but by the unseen details—such as whether air conditioning ducts are regularly disinfected, water glasses thoroughly washed, bath towels used to wipe toilet bowls, or cash in a wallet left to mysteriously vanish. It all comes down to t The bottom line of conscience of the frontline staff. I cannot imagine that a hotel employing such callous, unfeeling staff could provide truly safe and reliable service. Therefore, I am making this incident public and leaving a one-star review; I would certainly never recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

Pretty poor overall - great, very clean rooms and a comfortable bed, but staff on check-in were very rude and unbothered, didn’t even look up from the desk. Received a phone call to the room after 21:00 when our son was asleep advising about late check out a long time after we’d requested it. Manager apologised and advised they’d put things right but we didn’t hear back. Only stayed for one night so might just have been a blip. Bathrobes were wearing very thin and in need of replacing.
We are so thankful for this hotel! Staff was SO friendly & helpful to us trying to figure out everything in Barcelona! The location of the hotel is perfect, tons of great things to walk to. The room was incredible, clean & had an amazing view! We will 100% be back! 🤍
Laura is a star. She helped us ALOT when there were van taxi availability issues in Barcelona by keeping our bag for a week post our stay out of pure understanding. I’ll always stay in this hotel. The people are lovely. Jessica and all the other members are excellent. Rooms are really big and spacious. I love the location. Very convenient !
The hotel has an excellent location. You can walk from Plaça de Catalunya in about 25 minutes, with shops all around, easy access to parks, and plenty of opportunities to stroll through the beautiful central streets of Barcelona. There are dozens of cafés and restaurants for every taste nearby. Getting around by metro, bus, or taxi is also very easy. Daily room cleaning was consistent, and the breakfast buffet offered a great variety of tasty dishes. From the upper floors, there’s a stunning view of the city. Overall, the experience left only the most pleasant impressions.
