disappointing for a five-star hotel, especially given the room rate. First, we were given a room that was already occupied. We walked in and found someone else’s belongings—fortunately, nobody was inside. We were then promised that the third bed would be prepared promptly, but it was still not ready when we returned from a walk. Nobody answered the reception phone, so I had to go downstairs myself. We then waited more than half an hour, until around midnight. When a staff member finally arrived, they put a sheet on the bed and asked whether we needed pillows! There was also no third cup, glass or bottle of water. Housekeeping was equally poor. After the room was cleaned, we found a cleaning cloth left on the bed. Crumbs on the floor had not been vacuumed up and were still there. Some belongings had been tidied, while others were left scattered around the room. It felt as though making the beds was the only cleaning that had been done. For a hotel of this category and price, we expected much better service and cleanliness. We definitely won’t be returning.

I returned to Eurostars Grand Marina after having stayed here several years ago, and it remains a very good hotel. While the property is starting to feel a little dated in some areas, it is still comfortable, well maintained and has a fantastic location. It is very convenient both for getting to and from the airport and for exploring Barcelona. Buses, taxis and hop-on hop-off sightseeing buses are easily accessible nearby, and you can also simply walk along the waterfront to reach many of the surrounding areas and attractions. The room was lovely: very spacious, clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful city view. Although my stay was only for one night, I had everything I needed and found the room very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent, with a very good selection and plenty of variety. One slightly amusing thing to be aware of if you have breakfast outside on the terrace is the seagulls! The hotel does have warning signs, so they make guests aware of it, but it is worth keeping an eye on your plate, particularly if you have fish. They generally keep their distance, but may become interested if food is left unattended. Overall, despite being an older property, Eurostars Grand Marina remains a lovely hotel with spacious rooms, great amenities and an excellent location. I really enjoyed returning and would happily stay here again.
The NICEST hotel I've ever stayed at. Reasonably priced. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing, and so helpful. Albert and Digna particularly went out of their way to make it a great experience. The pool is wonderful as is the restaurant. Plenty of things to do nearby including La Rambla and a shopping mall-- all within walking distance. Public transportation to the nearby cruise port as well as Sagrada Familia and the monument to Christopher Columbus. Highly recommended hotel. This place checked every box! AAAAA+++++
We stayed on the property for 3 nights in September 2026. It was a relaxing and fulfilling stay. It's not a 5-star property because of quality control issues, but very comfortable. They should lower the star rating to benefit their customers, who pay a maximum of 12 euros per person per night in tax for a 5-star property. The pool is a great space but is a bit run-down, and the liner is unlikely to survive another season. The rooftop space is awesome because on a warm summer evening it has an ocean breeze from the cool Mediterranean. We enjoyed the pool, and the Black Maina Terrace is a wonderful sunset oasis. The rooms are spacious and much larger than similarly priced hotel rooms. The staff is wonderful. They are guest-first. Albert helped us with an unfortunate start, and we want to recognize his actions that made our stay so much better. Aron is the friendliest maintenance engineer we have encountered in over a decade. Thank you, Aron, for your efforts. Fay is a positive, happy face who is a great customer advocate.
We have just checked out after a truly wonderful stay. It all started with our warm welcome from Albert, who took plenty of time to give us great tips for Barcelona, share some personal insights, and, most importantly, help us choose the room that suited us best. When your holiday begins with someone who clearly loves their job, not much can go wrong after that. The rooms are clean, not brand new, but very spacious. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was excellent—what more could you ask for? We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but if the staff there put as much care and passion into their work as everyone else does, I’m sure it’s fantastic too. The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s wonderfully quiet, yet only a 15-minute walk to the city centre, around 20 minutes to the beach, and just 5 minutes from the beautiful waterfront promenade. The rooftop pool is an absolute game changer for a city break. Stepping out of the hustle and bustle of the city and straight into the water is simply amazing. :) A fantastic hotel, and a huge thank you once again to every single member of the staff! Everyone smiles, help is always immediate, and nothing ever seems like a burden. You’re doing an incredible job—you carry this hotel on your shoulders with professionalism and genuine warmth!
