Reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was unacceptable. I booked this hotel because it is advertised as a 4-star property, and the photos on the booking platform showed clean and well-maintained rooms. Cleanliness is always my top priority when choosing accommodation. However, on the very first night of my stay, I found a large cockroach inside my room. For me, this is not a minor inconvenience—it is a serious hygiene issue. Finding a cockroach in a guest room immediately raised concerns about the hotel’s overall cleanliness and pest control standards. Because of this, I no longer felt comfortable or safe staying at the property. Late that same night, I was forced to book another hotel and move out at my own expense. The hotel offered a room change and complimentary breakfast, but that did not address the core issue. Once a large cockroach is found in a room, it is difficult to trust that the problem is isolated to only one room. As a paying guest, I should not have to worry about hygiene standards in a 4-star hotel. What disappointed me even more was the refusal to provide a refund despite the fact that the accommodation failed to meet a basic expectation of cleanliness. I am sharing this review to warn future travelers, especially those who value hygiene and cleanliness when choosing a hotel. Please think carefully before booking. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property. A 4-star hotel should never put guests in a position where they have to leave in the middle of the night because of a hygiene issue.
This is not a four star hotel! Expect what is more on the two star end. Stayed for a week and 1. The spa and gym are non-operational. 2. Flushing the toilet results in a crazy loud noise. The only way I can describe it is that it sounds like I am running next to a metal fence with poles and I am striking the poles with a stick as I run past. AND this nice occurs everytime some other guest flushes their toilet. (!!) 3. Room key device keep malfunctioning so I needed to go to the front desk daily multiple times before being able to get into my room. 4. Others in our group had to switch rooms mid-way through their stay because water stains started forming on the shower ceiling (leaks). I am staying now at another hotel in the city which is truly a 4 star. The only positive is that staff is really nice and there is A/C.
To start—and let me emphasize this—the staff service was excellent. However, the hotel itself is filthy, both inside and out. They market it as top-notch, yet the bathrooms are moldy, the mirrors are completely rusted, and there are cockroaches. I do not recommend it. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but the place is disgusting—not to mention how expensive it is. Don't go.
We chose this hotel because on Google Maps, Expedia and other platforms it clearly showed that the hotel has a spa, swimming pool, and gym. Even though the hotel is not very close to the city centre, we decided to book it specifically because of these facilities. However, upon arrival, we were very disappointed. After check-in, we asked where the swimming pool was, and the staff told us that the spa, gym, and pool are all closed for renovation until December. They said this information is only available on their official website. But realistically, most guests rely on platforms like Google Maps or Expedia and do not check the hotel’s website separately. This feels very misleading, as the hotel is advertising facilities that are not actually available. This was a major issue and completely different from what we expected. Another important issue: during booking we selected a double bed, but we were given twin beds instead. This was not what we requested and added to our dissatisfaction. Secondly, we booked the hotel for 4 nights. After the first night, we requested to cancel the remaining 3 nights and move to another hotel, but the hotel refused, saying the booking was non-refundable. Due to our financial situation, we had no choice but to stay all 4 nights. The only positives were: • good and stable Wi-Fi • decent breakfast (although exactly the same every day) • they provided a dental kit (toothbrush) and a shaving kit Everything else was disappointing: • very basic room • no slippers • no complimentary water • no kettle or coffee • only TV, safe, hairdryer, and basic toiletries • broken window handles — we couldn’t even open the window We also noticed that other guests were unhappy for the same reason — they came expecting spa and pool facilities, but none were available. It is especially frustrating that Google Maps still shows photos of the pool and spa on the main page, which clearly attracts guests. The hotel should clearly state everywhere that these facilities are unavailable, not only on their official website. Overall, apart from Wi-Fi and breakfast, nothing met our expectations. We do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for spa, pool, or comfort.
