Albert Catalan, Reception Manager at Hotel Catalonia Atenas, Barcelona, was exceptionally helpful! In short, our transfer from the hotel on 15th Sept 2026 did not turn up. On asking Albert if he had seen it arrive, he had not and checked with the other receptionists and security guard. He then asked to see my transfer information from the booking company and telephoned the transfer company direct on our behalf to find out what had happened as he spoke Spanish and we didn't. He was dissapointed with the customer service representative he spoke with as they just said we had to get a taxi to the airport and submit a complaint. No help or advice from them. Albert and his colleagues swiftly flagged down a taxi outside the hotel, negotiated a fare, explained the situation to the driver and helped with our baggage. Albert also wrote an email, which he forwarded to me that day, that covered his telephone conversation with the transfer companies representative, to use as evidence in my subsequent correspondence with the travel company to request a refund for the taxi journey and express disappointment with the transfer representative. Had it not been for Albert's actions we would certainly not have made our flight, and the holiday ruined. Albert and his colleagues are a credit to your Hotel. I will look back at my holiday in Spain, and at your hotel very positively, and would recommend Albert for reward without a doubt. ..... update.... Just had email confirmation from the online booking travel company, they have received my correspondence and your supporting email and refund on way already along with written apology! Again, thank you Albert and all at the hotel.

My mom, sister and me had the best time while staying at this hotel! It’s very clean, amazing location and has everything you need. The staff is super friendly and makes sure make the best out of your stay. Thank youuuu! 🤩

The hotel’s location is excellent, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and the beautiful city views, which were highlights of the experience. However, the room was quite small, and some basic amenities were missing, including a toothbrush, lotion, and complimentary bottled water. While the service and location were great, the lack of these essentials and the limited room size affected the overall value of the stay.

This is the first time I’ve been this satisfied with a hotel. The room was really spacious, and the beds were very large and comfortable. Everything was also very clean. The location and the food were excellent. I’d definitely rate it higher than 5 if I could!
