We had a great stay here and loved the gorgeous tile flooring! The beds, pillows and towels were wonderful, as was the kitchen. It had everything we needed.

Nice place, but our room did not come with many plates or dishes to use for cooking, but everything else was good. Also lots of stairs to get up, so be aware
We had an okay stay here. The location is great and the apartment is well designed and laid-out. However, the check-in process was confusing. We checked-in online via their portal, giving all our details and pre-authorizing a card, but we still had to go through a manual check-in process at their reception (which is at their parent hotel across the road). What was the point of the online check-in portal? The reception proceeded to take a 250 euro deposit using a card machine, despite the check-in email saying it would be only 150 euros, without really explaining what was happening. Even 150 euros felt steep given the total cost of our 1-night stay. The deposit was refunded swiftly after our stay, though. We also struggled at night with the stiffness of the beds and the noise from the street below. Overall, the location is good but we would opt for a different option next time.
I read quite a few reviews after booking and I’ll admit — some of them worried me. But in the end, you simply need to know what to expect. The location is unbeatable. I walked almost all of Barcelona on foot — at least all the major sights — and honestly, this is one of the best and most convenient areas you can stay in. Our suite was truly lovely: spacious, comfortable, and full of character. Yes, it’s not the cleanest or most perfectly maintained room I’ve ever stayed in. But I’ve also never stayed in such an old, well-preserved historic building before. And that’s the charm: the original mosaic floors, the wooden window frames, the traditional doors, the high ceilings… you can feel the history of what must have once been a well-to-do Barcelona home. Everything is old, naturally — but it’s authentic, and that alone makes the experience special. And honestly, for the location and the historical value of the building, I think the price we paid was more than fair. In fact, it could easily be more expensive for what it offers. If you expect a flawless, modern hotel, this isn’t it. If you appreciate character, history and location, you’ll love it.
*This is an honest review not to harm business but give constructive feedback for improvement Extremely disappointing stay – Avoid for Business or Comfort/Service I am just staying in the "Val apartments" of this hotel, and I must say it was a very concerning experience. For the price and reputation this hotel claims to have, I expected a much higher level of service and comfort and professionlism. First and foremost, the heating was not working, making the stay uncomfortable, especially during early spring nights. When booking for business purposes, reliable internet is crucial, yet the WiFi here was unacceptably slow—so much so that I couldn’t even take a simple online meeting. Another major letdown was the false advertising of a 24-hour concierge. In reality, someone was only available from 7 PM onwards, which is misleading and inconvenient. Additionally, a coffee machine was provided, but no coffee for it—a minor detail, but for the price and standard this hotel is supposed to uphold, it reflects a lack of attention to guest experience. Overall, this was not worth the cost, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or business-friendly stay. There are far better options out there that actually deliver what they promise.
