We meet in our office where were our guide will provide us the equipment (wetsuit, shoes, helmet&harness), then we departure to Chamana only 10min away. After we reach the parking place we walk up the hill for 5min. From here we will spend 1:30hr more or less. After we are done with the exploration we change our clothes and return to Banos City. Such a fun two-family adventure for our four adults and four kiddos ages 12-14. Equipment was great: wetsuits and shoes and helmets fit great and kept us warm and comfy throughout the trip. Guides were phenomenal: great with kids and kept us having fun even while they managed all the technical aspects of the trip. Any “waiting” was in a spectacular spot with opportunities to swim, play in waterfalls and encourage other members of the group. The canyon we visited was gorgeous, water clean and clear and we had a delicious trout lunch at the end. An unforgettable adventure thanks to Alberto, Pablo and Franklin. Kids remarked it was the “best day ever!”
Myself and my wife had a great experience with Ivagatours! We went to the Rio Blanco Waterfalls Canyoning, our guide Jairo is great and have been on two trips with him, great guide and positive experience, always felt safe.
Easy to organise and great communication in advance of the trip. On the day Annabellle was efficient and ensured we filled the requited documentation quickly and with no fuss. Franklin -our guide-was on time and ensured we had the correct sizes and everything was working well. He ensured we were well briefed at each stage. He set up the ropes quickly had an air of confidence that inspired trust. We were the only 2 on the trip and it was fantastic.
Entire experience was amazing!!! The crew at the shop was super helpful and friendly and the tour guide was so nice. I 100% would recommend doing this when in Baños. We slid down 3 waterfalls and repelled 4. One of the coolest experiences I have ever done and well worth the price!
My son and I had an fantastic time with Ivagatours. My son is 6 and our guide Mateo was so patient. He really helped provide my son with the confidence to tackle even the largest waterfalls. My son and I both felt safe with Mateo as our guide. We were the only ones on the tour so it was extra special. We went to the Rio Blanco waterfall. We repelled, zip lined and slid down multiple waterfalls. The best part is they take all the pictures and videos for you so we could focus on having a great time. 10/10 recommend 👌
We took the canyoning tour with Mateo. It was a wonderful experience, he made sure we knew what we were doing and was very professional. The tour company was also very professional, including photos and videos which were a nice bonus. We are very active 59 year olds and this was a great energy level for us. The equipment was also top notch and we were never cold. Be prepared to do some hiking with the wetsuit and gear on.
It was amazing. We went with a group of four. The guide (Alberto) was very kind and he made the trip a lot of fun. He also took the time to take some pictures and videos. He spoke enough English to explain everything clearly and it felt very safe. The organization response quickly and we had a lovely trip.
Went as a family of 5, with kids from 8 thru 15. Had a WONDERFUL time with Alberto and Nickson! They gave super clear and fun guidance getting organized and trained on the safety equipment, took care, that everything was super safe, fun and exciting!! The tour itself includes 4 waterfalls 2x35ft 1x15ft and an AMAZING 160ft drop . Alberto was super helpful when our youngest felt scared, he helped her through it and turned her tears into laughter and enthusiasm. At the end of the day she summarized it best: "greatest activity ever!" Only regrets are: 1. Not taking my phone/camera in a water protective sleeve.... There are so many great pics to take that the guides gopro couldn't capture them all. 2. Not taking the full day extreme Canyoning tour... was concerned it might be too much for my smallest.... with Alberto it would have been a blast!!!

We did canyoning with Angel and Mateo and did a hike and bike ride with Angel. Both guides were really good and we had fun just hanging out with them. Wow, what a day! This canyoning tour pushed me out of my comfort zone but I felt safe as Gabriel (Chivo) did an amazing job. We started with a lesson on land and I learned the ropes - literally. Then he got me comfortable with the water by going on a natural water slide and taking a dip under the waterfall! We rappelled down 3 waterfalls and the last one was a huge jump then a swing... incredible. The rapelling was intimidating at first, and I fell and panicked a bit with the water rushing at me, but I got back on my feet and persisted. Definitely try this tour and trust yourself, trust the guide (ask for Gabriel!), and enjoy the beautiful landscape that you are immersed in. They take great photos of you the whole time as an added bonus!
Alex and Gabriel are hands down the best Tour guides, we felt safe and at the same time we had lots of fun. We traveled with young son (12 years old) and teenager's... Adolfo (manager) responded very quickly and arrange everything for us.... I wish i could give them 10 Stars!!!

My friend and I had ti take a bus from Quito and we ran about 20 minutes late on arrival, but our tour guide still waited and made it a really incredible experience. We stopped for food at a great spot for local empanadas. He took photos on his camera and ours the whole time and sent them free of charge. The knowledge and friendliness was above and beyond. Must use this tour operator for your Ecuador adventures !!
The tour was a perfect length will different experiences rappelling, a quick zip line, and lots of gorgeous views of waterfalls. Gabriel, our guide, was friendly and made us feel safe the entire time. As a climber I felt comfortable throughout the tour and that Gabriel knew what he was doing. Worth the price and experience!
Highly recommend this company! This is my 3rd time in Baños, but 1st using this company. I’ll be sure to book with them next time I’m in town! We did the canyoning today and really enjoyed our experience! The guide was professional, patient, and respectful. I’ve booked with other agencies previously that knew what they were doing but were not respectful towards their female crowd. This company was completely different! They were funny and made us feel comfortable yet were always professional. 100% recommended

Coming to Banos and not canyoning would be a huge miss. If you are going to do it do it with Gabriel and Matteo. We felt safe the whole time and found the whole experience thrilling. Highly recommend and great value!
My husband and I booked this excursion with Gabrielle and we couldn’t have been a better experience. He was our guide with the canyoning and was very safety conscience and went t our speed. Our guide Alex was extremely fun and made us feel safe throughout the tour. The scenery was beautiful and the wet suit kept us warm even in 20*C. I will definitely be booking with Ivagatours again!
We booked the Canyoning Tour with Thalia this week. She was really helpful so we were able to decide fast. Our guide was Gabriel. We felt very safe with him and he's a super fun guy. The tour was so amazing! The first jump into the cold cold water was a little shocking, but felt refreshing afterwards. The big jump in the end was truly stunning - such an adrenaline rush! Go do it if you're in Baños!
After diving Galapagos for a week, decided to try a week in Banos. The Pailon del Diablo was fun, the rafting was a good time, but the Canyoning with Herman & Gabrielle was what became the main attraction for us. I cannot express how much fun we had, jumping, swimming and rappelling. I have been all over the world and done many things, this is the first review I have warranted writing. We felt safe the entire time, even at heights. Herman & Gabrielle made it fun for us. One of the best experiences of our life. Thank you both for the amazing trip, food and photos.

You must avoid doing canyoning with them. After 20hours of intense rain, they didn't cancel the tour. There was definitely too much water, but the guide took us into the waterfall...a client almost die into the water...the guide was very inexperienced!!! Gears were very old and in bad condition...the guide was supposed to speak English...

We just loved it! A block tour to the waterfalls and Devil's Pavilion that is a nature show. Canopy and finally canyining with the guides Andres and Alberto who were super attentive and friendly to us as well as the tour guides in blocks. We recommend them.
