This was a great adventure from the scenic spots, to the calm beautiful canoe ride, hike in the jungle to enjoying the waterfall, seeing the tribal people, the chocolate factory, to the "swing" (which was a wooden plank and just one questionable strap to hold you in place) at one of the viewpoints( which was extra $3USD in Oct 2026). Not to mention the people you meet and get to enjoy these activities with, which is a bonus. It is a long packed day, but well worth it! A couple things I'll mention is that, the Driver/ Guide he spoke both English (what I requested, and double checked based on some of the other reviews) and Spanish, he does show some cool things, share info on medicines (while we were trekking in the jungle), but overall it wasnt one of those tours where he is deeply expalining everything, aside from what I mentioned before, he mostly advised on guidelines and timeframes on the activities and stayed back and let you enjoy the moments. For me that was fine, and in my case worked out great because of the group I had, most of us ended up talking to each other. By the end of the trip a lot of the folks were even talking about arranging another activity on their own the following day. Another thing is, maybe try to look for this company in town one day and book directly with them, might save some money than booking through here, but if you're pinched for time or can't get around to it, booking here is convenient too.

Reviews
I read all reviews before I purchase an experience, and this was the first time a Viator experience failed me. Our tour guide spoke both English and Spanish, and even though 1/2 the tour didn’t speak Spanish, he didn’t speak English to them unless there was a question. But they didn’t know what to question since they didn’t understand! First, we were taken to a touristy area to take pictures of ourselves in a “ballon” with beautiful scenery, or “canoe”, with beautiful scenery, etc. In my opinion, a waste of time, even though it was along the route. Next we were transported to a waterfall, where we hike along a trail of about 15-20 minutes and then were able to swim for 1/2 hour. Then, lunch— choices were advertised as meat, chicken, fish. But if you wanted the fish, it was 3$ more. Then, canoe ride with no life jackets… hmmm. But, for me that was one of the best parts of the journey. Afterwords, we went to a Kichwa community where practically no explanation was given about culture or anything! It was very touristy. People danced around. We were painted on out faces, some dressed in costumes, and could take pictures of ourselves holding parrots or macaws, or a boa— if you paid 2$ more! Next, on to the swing high in the forest— oh wait, 3$ more… it was fun though. I did go for pictures, partially. However some guy from the tourist agency had his stick right in the middle of my video as I swung above the forest—- not cool! Last, but not least, at 7:30 pm, it was time for cacao bean roasting. With a less tha minimal explanation from our tour guide, we roasted, shucked, and then ground the beans into a paste. Of course, if you wanted hot chocolate (freshly made), it was another 2$. We got back around 9pm- I expected a long day. But do not expect the guide to pass his hat around for tips. I thought it extremely tacky.
Overall the trip was fantastic The waterfall was beautiful and we were lucky that it wasn’t too busy. The trip down the river was also interesting especially as our boat driver took us down a side stream and showed us some animals (mostly spiders but they were at a distance). The visit to the village was interesting, they showed the animals which I struggled with as they are clearly being used for show and didn’t seem overly thrilled to be handled. We were given a welcome drink and had our faces painted. Overall a great experience. The bus driver needs a special thanks as he was fantastic and super helpful throughout the day (serving food, pre-cooling the bus etc) One negative was our guide Paulo. We were a mixed group of Spanish and English speakers and he clearly did not enjoy having to repeat himself in English. Additionally he didn’t take great care of the group when walking up to the waterfall, two ladies only joined us 10 minutes after the main group arrived and this had not been noticed by Paulo. He also frankly seemed more interested in the free food or available hammocks whenever we arrived somewhere. If the trip itself hadn’t been well organised it might well could have been a very unenjoyable experience
Full day packed with really interesting activities. Very knowledgeable guides. Loved swimming in the waterfall pool!
Overall, this Amazon tour offers good value and features some great standout moments, though the pacing could have been a bit more engaging. The highlights included the beautiful waterfall and the fun Tarzan swing, which really delivered on adventure. However, the village visit was extremely uncomfortable; the animals appeared to be in distress, and it felt so distressing that I couldn't leave fast enough. I originally wanted a tour without that specific stop after reading other reviews, but unfortunately, it seems most standard Amazon tours bundle these exact same components together.I truly wish some operator would start offering an option completely without that segment. Skipping it would significantly improve the tour's overall timing and flow. If operators are worried about supporting locals, I would be much happier to simply donate directly to the Amazon communities, or have them show us the items they sell so we can buy from them directly.
It was a packed day. We had a lot of things to do. It was amazing. The view along the road were incredible. It was worth every penny. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
The tour should be in english but the guide did not speak english at all. He did not communicate and me and my friend were excluded from the information. For example: he had a whistle which he used in multiple ways but he did not explain in english what it meant. He also did not tell us that we had to get in the boat and the boats left without us and we had to get back in the buss Very dissapointing: tour guide was named dolphin or something. We do not recommend this tour - waste of a day in ecuador
Great experience - many activities in a packed day
Based on the 5 star reviews, my boyfriend and I were so excited for this tour… Since the tour guide did not reach out the night before, I messaged sent a message just to confirm time (0900) and meet up location. They were prompt, clear in their responses, which was greatly appreciated. We got to the location at 0850, where we checked in and signed our waivers. 0900 there was still no driver, so we asked the gentleman if we had time to get breakfast. He said that the driver would be there in 5 minutes… add another 40 minutes to that and the driver EVENTUALLY shows up. I asked a reason for the delay and he said that he had to pick up other guests. There were no other guests on the bus when we got on. The sites we visited were super touristy locations, that were jam packed. Mainly places for photo opportunities with displays. The one thing I did truly enjoy was the hike to the waterfall. The waterfall itself was beautiful, but again it was packed and we were only allowed 25 minutes there. Our guide was inattentive and truly didn’t care about our experience. The only time he interacted with us and showed us a medicinal plant used for sinuses, etc.He was lost in his cellphone or chatting with his other tour friends the majority of the time. While walking to and from the water fall he straight up powered forward and left the group behind. What if someone got injured or sick? I took some pictures and videos of the group walking through the woods alone. I wish we would’ve chosen another tour or just made our own itinerary. Definitely the worst tour I’ve been apart of.
This was a fabulous day, great guide, just the right amount of activities. The swing was spectacular. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful action packed day with Pablo. His English was very good, and he was very knowledgeable about everything. Be prepared for what could be, some strenuous walking to the falls the treehouse
Unbelievable value for money. It’s a whole day out packed with great activities and unique experiences. Pablo was a great guide (you could tell his knowledge extended beyond just being a tourist guide) and Jaime is an excellent driver around difficult roads. Lunch was included (+3 dollars for fresh fish which was delicious). Available in both English and Spanish. Zero complaints at all, a really wonderful experience.
Long day but awesome. Very neat expierences at each stop. Just be sure to bring a swimsuit for the waterfall. I didn't see that listed anywhere on here but they do let you spend some time there and swim if you have a change of clothes. Hike can be a bit difficult for people that have mobility issues.
Amazing trip full of amazing experiences. I was worried that some things such as the visit to the commune wouldn’t interest me but I was very wrong. This is a definitive highlight of my trip to Ecuador and a great time! Swimming under the waterfall was my favorite part, definitely bring a swimsuit :)
Fantastic tour company! They arranged airport pick-up and return to Quito at reasonable prices. Mishell provided excellent customer service, taking great care of my family of four. Our 3-day tour was action-packed and unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Incredible trip for the price! We visited so many places. It was completely in Spanish when we were there because the tourism is very low right now due to electricity issues within the country, but it was still an incredible tour! Very fun and informative from the Amazon community to the rope swing! It was the best tour I've ver done
One of the best day trips I had so far in Ecuador! I will not enumerate what it includes, as it is detailed in the tour description. But for a day tour, it packs a lot! At the end you feel like you really know Ecuador better, from rural amazonian landscapes to food (a tasty meal included), people (meet some local community and interact with them), crafts (you get to roast and grind coffee beans). The trips is punctuated by plenty of picture opportunities and chances to go a little wild, if you want (going in a wood boat, eating strange things, go in a huge swing). The guide, Civito (Cris in English) is super cool, knowledgeble, pacient and fun. For the money, definately the best tour I had in Ecuador so far (including Galapagos, amazing, also amazingly expensive).
Waterfall, hiking, roads and viewpoints were amazing. Tour guide Jairo and the driver were the best.
Everything was great. A full day tour, so be ready for 10 to 12 hours of activity. I’m almost 69 years old and in average shape. It was pretty strenuous in a few places. Christopher was a great guide. All the activities were great as you can see from the photos. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour guide was probably one of the best we have had. The whole trip from start to finish was full of great sites to visit and experience near the town of Baños. The park at Miramera was awesome and so were all the activities like canoeing, visiting the village, lunch and everything. Highly recommend Fernando as a guide!
It was soooo good. I really recommend doing that. There are a lot of activities and good things to see. Best would be to do it in sunny weather.
The guide was very good, he took time to translate to English for us and knew a lot about the activities. The viewpoint and waterfall were amazing and the river canoe was funny but we did get wet! Downsides was the timings and the chocolate farm was not great.
Well organized and professional guide. This is my first time in Amazon rainforest and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it.
Very knowledgeable and friendly service, the experience was above and beyond. I highly recommend Tour Ecuador 24 if you happen to be in Baños.
The experiences are unique and fun. The landscape is beautiful and the people are friendly. There were multiple activities in one day. I had a good day of walking and exploring, money well spent.
One of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Visiting the community was a once in a life time opportunity! The waterfall was stunning and the chocolate tasting at the end was such a nice surprise! With every penny. And the view point with the swing was wonderful
A great taste of things that Puyo and the surrounding region has to offer. Beautiful scenery in multiple locations
Mishel was very easy to work with, she helped me out and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. Fue muy fácil trabajar con Mishel, me ayudó y fue más allá para darnos una gran experiencia.
Excellent service, everything was very nice, the places, the attention. I would definitely return.
The best tour I have ever done; I really enjoyed all the activities and I will return.
I made several excursions with this agency and everything proved excellent. Michelle advised me and organized the tours to make the most of my time in Baños, was very attentive and answered my queries on WhatsApp. I highly recommend hiring your services.
Everything offered is fulfilled and the activities carried out are great, to know in a short time the Amazon of the country.
Full day for a first discovery of this region. Several beautiful views and an end in apotheosis with the Indichuris viewpoint. Visit to a local indigenous community and a chocolate making demonstration. Whatever your time available or your budget, Mishell will advise you to discover its country
It was a great tour with lots of impressions and great taste what to expect in the rainforest. Our guide Pablo was very nice, dedicated and explained a lot to us. Every item on the programme was a highlight.
This excursion has been beautiful and very complete. But not only this, but also the rest of the activities we do during the three days of our stay. All organized by the Ecuador 24 Tourism agency located in Baños. I want to thank Michelle, the person who made sure that we enjoyed 100/100 of our little adventure in the Amazon, for her kindness, her sympathy and for her good attention and organization. THANK YOU VERY MUCH MICHELLE, WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU.
Excellent organization and treatment, always helping and recommending the best to the tourist, Mishell a great professional and best close and humane treatment impossible, we will recommend and repeat, thank you
Everyone was perfect. Excuse me bad Spanish, I will not possibly describe all my emotions, but I liked this activity.
Thanks to the professionalism, knowledge, and love for what they do, they generated a great unforgettable travel experience, beyond the beautiful places that I visited, I greatly value the kindness and support that I received from the agency, I highly recommend them, they make your trip the best of experiences. Thanks a lot.
We had an excellent day! We particularly enjoyed the walk to the waterfall, swimming in the natural pool under the waterfall, the trip in the wooden canoe, the visit to the cocoa farm and the giant swing! All in all, a great day. Our guide Christopher spoke great English and was open to all questions!
Excellent all the Ecuador Tourism agency 24 thousand points Pablo our guide of 10 beautiful landscapes and a very good experience they fulfilled everything promised, had a beautiful day 💚 💚 💚 💚
Very nice and recommended experience. You discover the jungle in a very local way thanks to the activities and communities. Don't expect great luxuries, but do expect a very real local immersion. Great experience, living with a family and enjoying their knowledge of the area. Remember to bring mosquito repellent and comfortable clothing.
Excellent experience the canoe trip, the spectacular waterfall, the viewpoint with unbeatable views... And the chocolate process is too interesting... A 100
Great tour, you've been busy all day. You've seen everything! The jungle tour was great and the view breathtaking.
The trip was excellent! I could experience a lot in just one day. Hiking in the jungle, canoeing, visiting an indigenous community, one of the best views and finally a visit to Cacao Farm. It was very versatile, the price very good (for the view you had to pay another 2 dollars). The group was not too big, which was pleasant.
The Excursion offers a very good, interesting and varied day in the various locations in the Puyo region. We found indigenas, animals from the east, we have seen traditional chocolate production and much more that I can no longer write down everything ;) I can recommend everyone to make this trip if they are in Baños :D
It is a very complete day that gives to scratch a little on the surface of the Amazon. If you don’t have the option to spend several days in the interior of the Amazon, this excursion will allow you to at least get a minimal sense of it. The day is full of activities, everyone will have their preferences depending on their tastes and the particular reasons why you are interested in this tour. Our favorites were the jungle tour (very interesting explanations), the vision of the waterfall, the elaboration of chocolate and the Indichuris viewpoint, with its atomic swing included. Large group, but having two guides everything becomes fluid.
Excellent experience, all highly recommended activities from experienced and very friendly staff.
It's very nice, it's not expensive! They gave me so many emotions, I am very happy and I am left with many memories! Thank you to the agency girl who helped me through everything until I bought a bus ticket. I'm a foreigner and I don't know much about Ecuador but she explained everything well, I highly recommend her
Everything was very nice. The tour cost $30, others had more expensive tour operators. There was an English-language guide, too. The tour programme was very interesting and rich. You could also choose meals at lunch, including vegetarian meals, which was important to me because I'm vegetarian. Everything was cool.
