We loved this experience. Gentle cycling in green surrounds, stopping to feed the fish, drink coconut water, eat mango with sticky rice... The bikes were sturdy and comfortable, and we felt safe with guide Sugar up front and our outrider on his moped keeping an eye out for any other cars or bikes. The meal by the river was tasty (plenty of it too), and the absolute highlight was drifting on the water by the mangroves to experience the magical fireflies.

Wonderful experience for advanced cyclists to explore another perspective of Bangkok, and the guide Sugar is very friendly and professional for helping you know more about the local life and suburban areas.
We had a fabulous morning out on this tour which just gives you another side of life around Bangkok. My husband and I would highly recommend.
Today was a great trip and that is a lot to do with our guide, Sugar. He really looked after me and my wife and we had such a good conversation as we rode around the calm island literally across the river from the madness of Bangkok city. The weather was slightly overcast and there was an occasional breeze which was lovely. Saw loads of birds, a couple of water monitors right on our path and lots more.. We'd recommend the trip and if you get Sugar as the guide then you are lucky! Andy and Lianne
The ride itself was enjoyable, the meal was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the overall organization could be improved. The team did not show up on time, and no one answered when I tried calling. Thankfully, they eventually contacted the other couple who were in the same situation as us. We were later told that we should have arrived earlier at 12:30, but we had actually been waiting since 12:00. My biggest concern was safety. The first crossing was done on a very small boat without life jackets. Seeing my wife, who cannot swim, on that boat was quite distressing. Overall, the cycling experience and the staff themselves were great, but the organization and safety aspects would benefit from a more professional approach.
My wife and I took the “original bike tour in the green jungle of Bangkok” and had “Sugar” as our guide. What an amazing day! Sugar is super friendly and clearly loves what he’s doing. You cannot help but be in a great mood around him. He is energetic and attentive to the tour patrons. Loved getting outside the typical Bangkok hubbub. Thoroughly enjoyed the lushness and slower pace on this suburban island. Sites we wouldn’t have seen without the tour. As this was a weekend tour, Sugar incorporated a bit of the weekend market, introducing our group to some new culinary delights. Highly recommend both Sugar and this tour.
Fun experience. Aod was a fun guide and we ate delicious local food. Would recommend
Our tour guide Tony was super friendly and showed us around the island safely and took us to the markets for lunch. A fabulous morning.
Our tour with Aod (and King) was absolutely wonderful. It was just my mother and I, so Aod was very understanding when we showed a little late and had a bright energy even though the afternoon tours are during some of the hottest hours of the day. He showed us many special local spots, great food, and introduced to us a lot of the local plants and their uses. This tour is a great way to see nature while in Bangkok. We highly recommend it!
What a lovely day we had yesterday. Full of beautiful scenery, lots of relaxation and plenty of fun too. Everything was organised perfectly throughout. The pickup was exactly as described and everything flowed really well. We didn't feel rushed and had plenty of time to see everything. It was planned really well with lots of opportunities to snack, rest, take photos. A beautiful and friendly vibe throughout with knowledgeable guides who spoke English well and had plenty of local knowledge of animals, flora & fauna and history. I highly recommend you take this trip. We enjoyed it a great deal and managed to see and explore a part of Bangkok that we had never even heard of before, even after visiting the city many times. Many thanks.
A different way to see Bangkok - the cycle tour was fun and interesting, even though it was raining when we took our tour. Sugar (our guide) was very helpful, from providing rain macs for the rain, to taking us for lovely mango sticky rice and chicken noodle soup - and even to providing first aid when I unfortunately lost my balance and fell into barbed wires.
This was a good was to see a different side of Bangkok. Our guide Sugar was very knowledgable and took us to some interesting places for sights and food (mango sticky rice, chicken/pork noodles). He kept time very well and we were back at the port before the expected end time of the tour.
Extremely kind, friendly and informative tour! More like a bike and food tour which was a nice suprise. Our guides took us to only local and authentic Thai food spots which we loved! The scenery was peaceful, shady and beautiful! Thank you once again.
The guide was very knowledgeable and great fun to be with Boat trip especially back in the dark was superb Food was exceptional made by local Family da
We had the most AMAZING day with OD and his wife King they are such wonderfull people who show you all the things you need to know about the island. It is the perfect day in nature away from the crowd in Bangkok and it is so close with the Ferry. The nature is STUNNING and the people and the food are so nice!! It was a 11 out of 10 !!!!
Such a great morning. Myself and my husband went with our daughter (8yo confident rider) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Aod was a great guide and would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic experience on this bike ride very informative information about the vegetation and the uses the park was so beautiful and peaceful food that was arranged was delicious Highly recommend this tour
I booked a morning-afternoon and again in the evening to go ride more see the fireflies by by boat on my last day in Bangkok. It was quite an adventure and so fun! Aod and Khing were such great guides. We stopped for food and local favorite spots for sweet and savory treats. I was curious about the native plants that grew by the river and they were so eager to share. Looking forward to more tours with them again around the same time next year.
We had an excellent time with our guide Sugar! He made the already amazing experience even better! The bike ride started with a short boat ride to the island, then we got on our Bamboo bikes. Sugar took us along bike paths and local roads, exploring all parts of the island. We were there on a Saturday morning, and he guided us through the weekend market. It was such a treat, as the market was not filled with tourists or souvenirs! This was one of our best experiences in Bangkok! A hidden gem.
We had a fantastic morning out in the green oasis so close to Bangkok. We’ve been to Bangkok many times and never seen this side of it, a definite must do!Our guide Sugar was fabulous, we were well looked after the whole time. If you can go on a weekend, the local market is great.
Excellent guide Sugar took us around the island and through the weekend market. Tour was fun and interesting and would recommend to everyone
So glad we did this. Sugar was the perfect host. Funny, charming and knowledgeable. He made this trip a real experience.
13/10 and 5 GOLD stars! This was an amazing tour of the Island. Aod and his wife Kin were very lovely and all the stop offs, including the fish feeding, bird watching and delicious lunch and mango sticky rice were to die for! The price was very good also. Their friendliness and the nice touches of organising everything in advance was seamless, including our souvenir gifts at the end. The island itself through all the ‘green’ bike paths was very serene and beautiful. Who knew this was here in the middle of a big bustling Bangkok city! We absolutely loved it so much! We will be back! 💚
This was a great half day tour diving into a completely different Bangkok. Small roads and tracks , no traffic, woods and a lot of green area around us. Unbelievable ... just on the other side of the river.
My husband and I had a fantastic tour with Aod and his wife. We went on a Monday which turned out to be a good option as the roads were very quiet. The tour starts with a short boat ride, then the rest of the time is spent exploring Bangkok island. It was good to do it with a guide as we would never had found the concrete paths that weave around the island on our own. We ate lots of delicious food along the tour including kanom krok, pad kra pao and mango sticky rice. Aod is very friendly and knowledgeable and also took some great photos of us along the way. The biking is easy, although does involve a few sharp turns which those less confident on a bike might find tricky. The bikes themselves could be in better condition, but perfectly adequate for the easy riding that the tour involves. Definitely the highlight of our time in Bangkok and would highly recommend!
Very enjoyable, relaxing afternoon cycling around Bang Kachao. Ate lots of food and had some nice conversations. Highly recommended.
We had a truly wonderful afternoon with Aod and his wife on the Bamboo Bicycle Tour in Bangkok’s Green Lung. From the very start, they were warm, thoughtful, and genuinely attentive to our comfort and enjoyment. When my wife found the raised, narrow cycleways a little challenging, Aod’s wife immediately stepped in and kindly guided her along an alternative route to the park. It was such a considerate gesture and made us feel very well looked after throughout the ride. Aod kept us thoroughly entertained with his stories and local knowledge, making the whole experience both fun and informative. The complimentary water was very welcome in the heat, and we really appreciated the regular refreshment stops — especially the delicious fresh sugar cane drink, which we both loved. Lunch was excellent and served in a charming local café, adding to the relaxed and authentic feel of the day. As keen (if amateur!) photographers, we were delighted when Aod took us to a quiet spot where woodpeckers were resting — a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. We also enjoyed sampling some delicious Thai desserts along the way. All in all, it was a fantastic experience — beautifully organised, personal, and memorable. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

The meet up place was easy to find. You get to ride a longboat over to the "island". Then ride bikes around in the jungle on a mix of narrow, raised concrete paths and bike paths/city street. Got to ride around in a nature park. I will say if you go be pretty confident with cycling ability and stamina. Not a tough ride but hot and humid. I could see where someone might overestimate their abilities. The guide however did provide much back ground about the area or stop and show/explain different features. He spoke decent English but didn't quite understand it a whole lot when asked a question so a little language barrier. Anyway. I was fine with escaping the Bangkok chaos amd pedaling around for a few hours
Vera nice experience. Aod was very committed and made sure it was a fantastic trip. Our best recommendations.
The tour was wonderful and a do not miss tour. Beautiful oasis just across the river from busy Bangkok. Sugar was a fantastic guide and told us the history of the area. We rode through the jungle, feed the fish, stopped for mango sticky rice, visited a temple, went to the weekend market where Sugar bought use lots of tasty treats and then a wonderful lunch. A absolutely incredible morning! A must do tour when visiting Bangkok.
A great tour of this amazing place in Bangkok. I visited the city many times over 40 years and I never realised this place existed. You can escape the noise, pollution and chaos of the city for a few hours and see how Thai communities live. Aod, our guide and his wife have lived there for many years so they know the hidden routes, food places, wildlife spots and sights, you would never find alone. All food and drink (don’t eat a large breakfast before) is included and you go to the best places with VIP treatment. The mango and sticky rice stand is famous in Bangkok with queues at the weekend and we had ViP service. If you have a few days in Bangkok or if you visited before and already did the main sights, you should do this tour.
This was outstanding. Away from business of Bangkok city, great guide who was informative, helpful, kind and very organised and prompt. Did not over talk, but happy to answer questions and give great information. Beautiful local food included, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would do it again for sure!
We enjoyed the morning tour through the green lung with our tour guide Sugar. Crossing the Chao Phraya River in a longtail boat was a fun experience. The bicycle ride was relaxing and pleasant. We enjoyed different foods at local stalls and the friendly encounters with the local people. It really is a refreshing experience after the hustle and bustle in busy Bangkok. Our tour guide Sugar was fun and knowledgeable and made the tour a wonderful experience with his tidbits of information about the local culture and his good natured humor. We highly recommend going on a tour with him.
We loved our cycling tour with Aod and King, sharing their love for Thai culture, food, flora and fauna. A great way to spend a morning away from the bustling city. The food was incredible- especially the coconut morning snack!
We loved getting out of the city and exploring this beautiful tropical environment with Aod and King. Lots of highlights, but loved the forest park, seeing birdlife, and trying local foods. A fantastic experience.
Super trip with Khun Sugar and Khun Phi. Excellent guide and experience. A side of Bangkok that we didn’t know. We took the morning tour
Sugar is a wonderful tour guide! Courteous, safety-conscious and could get a 2nd career as a comedian. I highly recommend this tour mainly on traffic-free bike paths in one of the last remaining wild places in Bangkok. Don’t think twice…just do it!
It was an absolute lovely time spending the afternoon with Aod and his wife riding bamboo bikes thru the quiet jungle (except for the birds!) on these bike paths that meandered thru the village. They shared their knowledge about the flowers & plants. We were also treated to a tasty lunch & the best Mango Sticky Rice! A small family owned business.Very authentic! Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience with Aid and his wife! The scenery was beautiful. Aod knows so much about everything you see - he's a wealth of knowledge. We stopped for food along the way which was delicious. I would highly recommend the experience!
Sugar and Mr. P were fantastic! They were polite and friendly and made everyone feel welcome. We had a great time on the biking tour and learned a lot! Highly recommend!
We had an awesome morning with Mr Sugar. The whole ride was so much fun and very informative. What a wonderfully part of Bangkok. Highly recommend. Thanks Mr Sugar for your time and good humour!!!
Aod and his wife took good care of our group. We saw some awesome wildlife and had some great food as well.
A brilliant bike ride off the beaten track with a fabulous guide. We had a great afternoon with the Bamboo Bike Team enjoying the jungle paths, beautiful landscape and an excellent lunch stop. A definite must if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for a few hrs. If you can ride a bike this tour is for you - go at your own pace and rest along the way in the shade. Simply perfect.
We had such a great time exploring the Green Nature Forest just outside Bangkok! 🌿 Our guide was super friendly and really knew his stuff — he made it fun and interesting for our whole family, including our two teenage kids. Such a peaceful and refreshing experience — definitely recommend it!
If you like biking and nature and food (come hungry!) then this is a fantastic experience. Aod and his wife are amazing guides who know the ins and outs of the island and the people there. It is a calm and relaxing change from bustling Bangkok.
Very nice, informative and unique experience. Our Guide Sugar was very friendly and attentive! Thank you for the nice tour
We took this tour back in June and had the most wonderful experience. Aod and his lovely wife were very informative about the area including the flora and fauna. Really enjoyed cycling and seeing the green side of Bangkok. The boat ride across was fun, lunch was delicious and we loved our little elephant key rings we were gifted. I Would highly recommend taking this tour, we have been to Bangkok many times before and it was our first time in the green lung, very refreshing and time spent with lovely people.
We did the Bamboo Classic Tour and it was an amazing experience — highly recommended if you want to explore the “green lungs” of Bangkok. A must-do! Our guide Aod and his wife were absolutely lovely. Thank you again for a wonderful morning!
Excellent morning out with Aod . You are escorted through jungle first and given a tour of the flora and fauna. We saw lots of creatures and interesting plants. Then you go have a delicious snack. Then you carry on through a nature park to feed fish. Then to see birds in a hide. Then lunch and a beautiful cycle back. Very good value for money.
