We do the HoHo bus in most every city we visit that has one. We chose the 3 day/ 72hrs because many days had rain so I wanted to be sure we could use it. We used it 2 of the 3 days. We used it as regular transportation after doing a full circle of the city. It was a great way to see the city. We used the tracking to make sure the bus was near before going out in the sun. It was nice for mall hopping. We didn't realize how close some of the sites were to each other until we circled. Its a great value. Busses were clean and, well air conditioned. Only issue is that you can barely hear what the driver is saying for the stops so stay alert and follow on your brochure.

Absolute abysmal service received. I booked 2 tickets for this tour on the morning I wanted to use the tickets. There was nothing on the website to suggest that the service was not running on that day. After waiting over 1.5hrs for a bus at Icon Siam we managed to get information from the tourist desk that all services had been suspended for that day (Saturday 26th September) and the following day. When I asked for a refund I was told that I had not given 24hrs notice so was not eligible for one - despite the company taking my booking on the morning that I stipulated I wanted the tour! I have contacted the company on 3 occasions since to give them the opportunity to rectify the issue but they have refuse to engage in any correspondence, hence now calling them out publicly DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- THEY DO NOT OFFER A GOOD SERVICE
The buses in Bangkok were cancelled on 26 and 27th so I am awaiting a refund. I am wondering why is TripAdvisor selling ticket to days where busses are cancelled due to flooding in Bangkok.
Hire a Grab for 2 hours for a fraction of the cost - stuck in traffic all day!
The traffic in Bangkok in it self makes trips like this poor experience. In addition there could, and should, have been so much more info given when we drive around and are stuck in traffic!! The lack of information about Bangkok and its history makes those trip a big disappointment….
Currently they are offering a promotion of ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Day Free’ which essentially THB800 for two days’ worth of sightseeing. I guess this could have tilted the ratings a little more in their favour, however, we only had one day so this was not taken up at all. The offer was THB800 per pax for unlimited hop-ons to their double-decker bus, which stops at 16 different sites around metropolitan Bangkok. That works out to approximately THB5 per site which sounds very reasonable; however, there are only a very limited number of buses available, so once you’ve gotten off at a site (say #2), you have to wait roughly 40-45 minutes for the next ride. Altogether I think there was around 6-8 trips per day, so it’s impossible to see all the sites (notwithstanding the second day mentioned in first paragraph). If you have a lot of time to kill and not much to do, I guess this is an okay offer. However, if you — like us — didn’t take the first or second bus trip out, chances are the THB800 will be much better spent on the BTS or a taxi. Several times over.
When you come to Thailand and you want tour around Bangkok. don’t worry about rant a car. You use Elephant Bus all day because you can drop off any famous place in Bangkok such at China Town , Wat Arun , Icon Siam , Samyan Mitrtown. You can hap on - hop off all day 16 stops. it’s good experience in Bangkok 🥰👍🏻
Nice experiences, worth it! I visited China Town, and Phra nakorn to watch Khon. Love it
I used this service on last Saturday. The crowd on the bus isn’t too much so the seats is enough all the time when hop the bus. Although, it has some traffic jam in early but after China Town it’s okay. You can have your time at the spot and hop on the bus whatever time you want. It was very fun 🤩
A fun and unforgettable experience! We toured around Bangkok, went off-plan a few times, discovered new places, and enjoyed every moment. Everything happened in just one bus ride!
This tour was amazing and definitely worth it! We got to visit many places in just one day. The schedule was well-organized, the bus left on time, and the trip was very comfortable. The guide and transportation made everything convenient, and we were able to see all the important attractions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore many highlights in a short time!
You can only hop on at stop 1. If you get off the bus to visit any places of interest, the next bus doesn’t come
Well, it's terrible... not the bus, but the service! Stuff said this bus is not for Thai! Thai cannot use promotion or unlimited hop in-out. The lady in the lobby said, website is in English so its mean not for Thai. Even you use Thai website, it still said the same as English version! such a liar and rudeness. I bought a ticket online with a promotion for a free upgrade from a 1-day pass to a 2-day pass. When I checked in at the lobby, the staff said the promotion was not valid JUST FOR THAI, and Thai are not allowed to use the unlimited hop-on hop-off even if you paid the same money as others; you are only allowed two drop-offs per day. Really?? Then why don't you mention on the website that it's not for Thais! I paid the same price as others but cannot enjoy what I paid for. The staff is rude and not polite at all. She is not professional enough to represent the company and for travelers ~ laughing and giggling behind foreign Travellers after they ask questions. DON'T SHOW SAME PRICE ON THE WEBSITE IF YOU GONNA TREAT US DIFFERENTLY AND WANT US TO PAID THE SAME AMOUNT. This happened in the afternoon on May 30th, 2026.
A fantastic way to find out about the sights in Bangkok and each bus stop was located near the attraction unlike some other bus tours we’ve been in. Great value
Stuck in traffic most of the time. Waited just under 60 minutes for a bus at one particular stop - that cost us a chain reaction of missing a lot of sights. Last bus is too early due to the traffic. We were pretty sure they were at least 1 maybe 2 busses out of circulation that cost us this day in Bangkok. Best to hire a guide and get between the sights with GRAB or Tuk Tuk or boat. Ticket at stop 1 agent was bordering on very rude when I was explaining issues when trying to book online the night before. Money before service. Busses need to be every 15 minutes and not “35” as they say……
You could not hop on and off as the bus was taking too long to do the circuit and they did not have enough buses on the circuit. Our bus had a collision and after 45 mins of waiting they kicked us off the bus and told us the next bus would be there in 45 minutes and well into an hour later it showed up. Took us all day to go around once with one stop, the rest of the time we were waiting for the bus at unmarked stops. Waste of money. I have done these same tours in London and new York and actually got to hop on and off and see things. You spend your time on a bus or waiting for it.
It’s a v good trip if you’re a solo traveller and wanting to get a broad impression of the city. The temples, the busyness , the pace of all that goes on can be seen in air conditioned comfort. Run alongside your own guide book makes it clearer. It was a safe, easy way to claim a visit to the city.
I always want to do the hop on hop off in every tour so I can see the places first before going independently but Traffic is terrible…especially in china town and I hope the driver can speak a better English .
Disappointing to find out after payment when we checked in for our first stop that the busses run very late. They do not pick up at locations every 15-20 minutes. It can be up to an hour or more between stops.
Very disappointing spent most of the time stuck in traffic. Commentary out of sync and limited information about up coming stops. Eventually after 2 hours gave up and took a Tuk Tuk which was much more fun. Followed this with a river trip. This is the fastest, cheaper and more efficient way to see the marvellous attractions Bangkok has to offer. Normally we find red hop on hop off a great way to orientate in big cities and we has used them in many cities around the world but this was not a great experience.
Do not do this. Only one route. Too few services and too few stops. Minimal audio guide information. Spent most of our time in traffic jams. Total waste of time. Basically wasted the whole of our brief day and a half in Bangkok. Just get a copy of the bus map and instead use tuk tuks to visit the stops. Would be much faster and much cheaper.
That’s so worthy!! I enjoyed for the trip in Bangkok in 1 day for 16 attractions EAT SHOPPING WORSHIP and ETC . It save my money from traffic jam if I catch a taxi.
This was a good experience with both outside and air conditioned areas on the top deck. Saw lots and when only in Bangkok for one full day its the best way to see as much as possible. The information via the headphones is very good.
Would not recommend this company poor level of information throughout the tour. More music played than information through the ear buds. Traffic is so bad you see maybe one stop during the 5 hrs. Recommend using a grab on and do some reading
Nefarious. The stops are not signposted, the schedules are not indicated either and the frequency is at least 45 min. which added to the heavy traffic makes it super difficult to go up and down to see the points of interest. Nothing to do with tourist buses from other capitals of the world. I don't recommend you to use it.
The traffic in Bangkok is terrible, more than 1 hour in the bus to get to the next stop. Some drivers don’t tell you when is your stop and just continue driving so the bad traffic in the city. Work pits very short. 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
We booked 2 day passes for 900TBH each and can honestly say we spent more time waiting for buses than on them! On the first day the drive ignored the bell request to stop and sailed past Wat Trai Mit (Golden Buddha) so we missed that. Then we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a bus from Wat Pho. It meant that we had to cut out a planned stop in the afternoon. The traffic in Bangkok - especially in the last half of the route is truly horrendous - not their fault - but they just don’t run enough buses to cover the route adequately. 4 buses and a 3-hour tour (minimum and longer in the mid-afternoon) means a wait time of 45 minutes. It really is a poor service. The seats are very uncomfortable and the door on the upper deck separating the air con are to the open part is positively dangerous! We have used hop on / hop off buses all over the world and this is the worst. My advice is to use the Sky trains in busy areas or “Bolt” cabs both of which are a fraction of the price. Don’t waste your money or time on Elephant gogo.
Great option for getting to tourist spots in Bangkok, so as a hop on/off option it’s a good way to travel around. We decided to do the full circuit and view areas from the bus, so a word of caution, for us it was too hot to travel on the top deck (33 degrees) so stayed underneath where there are only 8 seats. The view from the lower deck is restricted by window stickers and one window was completely blacked out. We went mid afternoon which was impacted by rush hour so the ‘tour’ was extended by nearly 2 hours in unmoving traffic. Choose your time wisely as this also impacted pick up times for others. On three occasions the driver,in traffic, left his seat and went on top deck to ‘encourage’ passengers to get off, which meant he missed traffic lights going green….that was frustrating. In short a good option dependant on time of day. Would we use it again? Probably not.
Informative, great city. Liked the air conditioning on the upper level of the bus. A little confusing finding the start point as others have said.
Trip was good enough but maybe not as extensive as many other cities. Easy to find and get tickets. Had a problem with getting downloads with my email and Viator was able to pdf me what I needed. Great service!
Good value for money. Get to see all the great sites and get around. Drivers very friendly and comfortable bus
Decided to do the tour to see the city of Bangkok We enjoyed the journey Narrative was good only lost signals a couple of times Seats not comfortable, very numb bums by the end stop 🫣🤭 Air conditioning was set to freezing so we were huddled for most of the tour The last part we were stuck in traffic for quite a while but that’s just part of Bangkok All in all it was still enjoyable
Really not worth the cost. The travel through town was ok, but unless you sit upstairs in the blazing heat, you cannot see anything other than the awful traffic jams that delay the coach. The narration was spotty and not very informative. Also the the pickup spot at IconSiam was difficult to locate.
This in my opinion is a great way to explore and learn about art, temples, architecture history etc. it’s get also because you can get off and on at any of there spot and carry on at your leisure as long as this process doesn’t change I will always recommend this
I had such a fun and memorable ride with Elephant GoGo – a hop-on-hop-off bus that let me explore some of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks in comfort and style! We visited highlights like Yaowarat (Chinatown), the Giant Swing, Khaosan Road, the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and ended at the stunning ICONSIAM. The wait between buses was minimal, making it easy to plan and enjoy each stop. The bus offers multilingual audio guides that give travelers insights into the historical and cultural significance of each location we passed – perfect for both locals and tourists! I was also impressed by the polite driver and the friendly, helpful staff on board. Their service made the journey even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a fun and flexible way to discover Bangkok, Elephant GoGo is definitely worth trying! 🌟
I would not recommend this company. It was very unrealistic with their wait times and said buses would come every 30 mins and maybe due to traffic would be ranging between 10 mins to an hour. I understand traffic is an issue for most places but this wait time was an hour and a half and each time I communicated with them regarding when my bus would come they kept giving times that were not correct at all. Very poor communication with the company and they never answered the phone when we called the company's phone line. There are many better ways to get around the city than this. I have done many hop on hop off buses in different cities and this is by far the worst one. I didn't get to explore the city at all. I ended up getting a grab and exploring the city that way and it came out to much cheaper than this experience. Save your money and check other methods out!
Make sure you know exactly where the pickup area is. It is not marked and we ended up just flagging the bus down
The locations of the bus stops need to be provided on the guide and more prominent on the roads. The information provided by the audio system was very basic and should be updated. Why not a continuing commentary (as they do in Oxford UK) and less awful filler music.
Traffic is horrendous in Bangkok so you spend a long time getting round. Also there are no signs for where the bus stops so you must use the QR to identify where to stand
Waiting is program. Not reliable connections and when you made it finally on the bus stops at Siam Paragon Gate 1 over half an hour. My paramount was to see the city not sitting in a bus staring at the traffic around. Junction box for the headsets were broken. Way too expensive for the program and service provided.
We have used similar tours before and they are useful to get your bearings. Reliable service with a handy app that lets you track the bus - handy with Bangkok Traffic. Some stops are really near the key destinations- others you have to work out. Generally reliable and clean. Get off at the malls for a bite to eat in air con to protect you a bit. Great way to start your trip.
It is a great way to see Bangkok on a hot day but……it takes you around all the major shopping malls and doesn’t mention or go past some of the historical sites or parks. Traffic, which can’t be helped, can make the tour very long and tedious
Problems with the booking, unable to contact trip advisor, just going round and round, extremely frustrating, nowhere to get any help
its a total scam - booking is easy - finding the stops impossible we asked everyone - taxidrivers even the police - no one had a clue - the GPS tracking only work on paper - not on your iphone ... and no communication when asked and nothing to be found online.
I guess it was okay, but it seemed like we waited forever for a bus at times. The cold air conditioning was welcome though. The three hour loop seemed too long as well, so we ended up taken a grab taxi to cut the transit time in between sites. Their web app that allows one to see the location of the busses was some help, but it also showed mystery busses that just appeared and then disappeared ,just a quickly.
This experience never happened. I had issues with the ticket and after I was helped, I still couldn’t find any places to hop on a bus. I was looking forward to seeing more of the city, but that didn’t happen.
Be sure to understand where your hop on hop off locations are because we wasted our money booking this and no one understood what we were talking about when asked where we could get on this bus even with my map and addresses. So ended up wasting our money booking something I was looking forward to.
This is a very good way to find your feet and see the sights of Bangkok. The 48 hour ticket is best, as it gives you enough time to get off the bus and visit the many lovely places in Bangkok
The guide was fantastic, bringing us to hidden gems and explaining the rich culture. The street food was beyond delicious. Highly recommend this experience!
Very poor service. Difficult to see the signs. The worst was the driver ignored us when we wanted to get on at the stop of the great palace. After waiting for half hour . We ended up taking the Grab! I would not recommend. I would not use it again.
