From the booking, WhatsApp communications and the whole experience was fantastic. We were taken on a journey of seeing the sights, smells and tastes of the best on offer. I have to be honest some of the food places I would never have chosen as off the beaten track but we are glad we were invited to taste the sensations of the street food markets. Zarut was informative, funny, and engaging and nothing was too much. He would always offer us different things to try, from noodles, to pork, to ice cream. The follow up was great to with advice for our onward journey to Samui.

Outstanding food tour and cultural immersion opportunity. Zee took us on a fascinating walk-about of China Town where we tried delicious examples of the best street food Bangkok has to offer. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone with a taste for adventure.
Our family of five took a food tour with Zarut. This was right after our arrival in Bangkok. Everything was new and exciting for the children. But Zarut, with his pleasant, friendly, and humorous manner, made us all feel very comfortable. We experienced and saw so much. And thanks to his extensive experience, we naturally only went to the best places. Everything was absolutely delicious. Zaraut also catered to our wishes and made sure we all had a great time. A fantastic tour with a superb guide. Thank you, Zarut!
The Michelin food tour with Zarut was awesome for our family of 4. We arrived in Thailand early that morning so we were tired, but excited to see all the excitement that Chinatown had to offer. The food stalls were exactly what we were looking for--authentic Thai food with the security of knowing it was fresh and delicious. Zarut was a terrific guide, giving us helpful tips and answering all the questions our young children had for him. Highly recommend Zarut and this Michelin food tour!
Zee was wonderful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. My friend and I are in from Chicago and we were recommended Zee for his food tour. Each place he brought us to had significance to him and wonderful flavor. We got to enjoy many different kinds of food/deserts. Zee was funny and kept the energy up even when our stomachs were full. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Zee!
Quite a surreal and authentic experience in Bangkoks lesser known modern neighbourhood. The tour was filled with historical insights, Michelin recommended restaurants and a hearty vibe handled brilliantly by Zarut, our tour guide. One of the evenings that you must experience for yourself, though I do warn you, you will be quite full by the end of the tour. I advise fasting before attending to have enough space to eat all the listed courses.
We had Araya as our guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and history. It was a fantastic foodie tour and we tasted and learned a lot. We highly recommend Araya as a local guide. Below is a overview of everything we ate. Food List 1. Roasted Duck 2. Stired Fried Basil Leave, Garlic and Chili with minced Pork (Pad Ka Praow Mou, in Thai) 3. Rice Soup or Congee with Pork Ball 4. Mangosteen (Fruit) 5. Curry Noddle with Chicken Drum Stick 6. Mango Sticky Rice
Moddy was an amazing guide! She is so friendly and upbeat. We were with her for the nighttime street food market tour our first night in Bangkok. I have a gluten allergy and she was so helpful in making sure I could eat safely. My daughter and husband are total foodies and Moddy was fantastic at making sure they tried so many authentic Thai foods. She also gave us lots of tips for navigating the city the rest of our visit. (The underground trains are super easy!) I highly recommend tours with Moddy!
Nok was a brilliant guide. Our family loved the tour and learnt a lot about Thai food and ingredients.
Fantastic experience, highly recommend Moddy . She is amazing, such a wealth of knowledge past on with great passion, pride and humour
Communications in advance of the tour were ignored! Tried writing via the website link. Tried calling the phone number provided for the local guide and was hung up on then got a constant busy single when calling back! This was a private tour and we were ignored until too late!
This was an excellent tour- highly recommend 👌 our guide Sam, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable 🙌 we tried the BEST braised beef hot pot in Bangkok👌 Lots of information and he tailored the tour to what we wanted as well. Fantastic 👍
We had a very nice and good tour with Moddy. She is a full off energy and shows us the hidden markets with lots of good food. And after the rains falls she aranged a taxi. She is a great guide!!
The variety of tastings/food was great. We tasted at least a dozen, if not more, foods. Come hungry as there was enough food for an army. Hoc was wonderful. She was early and answered all of our questions. We ate fish, vegetables, meat and desserts. It was a full meal and then some. Would recommend to all as a way to see Bangkok.
Everything was just like promised. At the meeting point we met our very kind and informative guide Nok. We had three stops and in each one we tasted different kinds of local Thai foods. In the large local food market we also could buy some spices to cook some Thai food back home :). The tour moved ahead nicely -not too slowly nor too fast -and ended by the cup of Thai coffee. Tour moved ahead by walking and by tuk tuk. Defenetly worth; you see the food courts you probably would find by yourself and get lots of information about food ingredients, food itself and even culture that you personally are interested. This tour is for you if you are a Thai food lover and interested in it. Nok was very kind and took also photos and kindly sent them later on for us as promised.
Araya was a great guide during our stay in Bangkok. She took us to places where tourist don't go, only locals. Considering we didn't have much time to spend in the city, she was very accommodating and knowledgeable about food and culture. Great.
Our guide was very nice but had difficulty communicating with us and did not give us information on the city nor the food we were tasting, which is the whole reason we booked the tour. The included foods were terrible and my friends and I ended up leaving after only 3 tastings (less than 1 hour) to go find our own. The tour operator/Vistor refuses to give a refund despite the terrible experience.
Amazing experience with epic food. Loved the locations and all the food. Truly incredible and fun. Recommended
The tastings were good. We expected a bit more of walking around the city and exploring the for + cultural aspects.
This tour is cool, I can see a lot of culture and the environment, with culture that's laid into this tour
Loved learning about the various fruits and tasting them. The walk through the market was very informative and our guide was so kind. Got a beautiful holiday card and soap at the end. I love food tours and this one was very enjoyable.
Amazing food tour! Our guide Araya was absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, and catered to all our food needs! She showed us some amazing foods, never pushed us to try anything we didn’t want to, and always gave us plenty of options! So glad we did this tour to get a sense of real Thai street food with a local! She answered all our questions and was an incredible experience! Will definitely recommend.
We had the most fantastic tour - tasted the real Thailand with Kallayawat as our guide.... She was not only a very knowing but also an amazing person... Ask for her, and you will not get dissapointed....
We had a lovely afternoon with Warissa (jinny). She was super prompt and called us 5 mins before the start of the tour as we were in the Starbucks. We had a bunch of tastings including pad Thai, ginger Chicken, a soup, fried pork skewer, mango with coconut, Thai coconut, and coffee. We first had a couple street vendors and went onto or tor kor - a big local food court known for being super clean and somewhat high end. We saw very few tourists! We loved her enthusiasm and she was even helpful for my upcoming side trip to Phuket as she also works in the hotel industry.
Moddy is a little firecracker who has great enthusiasm and knowledge of food and street culture in Bangkok. She took great care of two middle aged & tired Dubliners just off a plane & guided us on a lovely and lively evening through the night market & street food stalls of the city. We would highly recommend Moddy as a friendly, smiley, knowledgeable & enthusiastic guide who gives a five star service to her clients. Deirdre & Maurice, Dublin
We had Apple as our tour guide and she was great! She helped us navigate the City which we couldn’t have done with out her, and showed us all the must see spots. Additionally she spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable and friendly. So happy we decided to book and definitely recommend, especially if you are unfamiliar with the city and don’t speak the language.
We had an amazing time with Sammy. The food selections were all amazing and it was refreshing to see that we were the only tourists in that area. He is genuinely passionate about good food and forming relationships with his guests!!! Look forward to another tour with Sammy.
We booked our tour of the Old Town markets of Bangkok with Piyaporn. she was a remarkable guide...friendly with very good English, and, like us , passionate about food! Although this tour involves some waking and it was a very hot day, we thought this was our best tour in Bangkok. It involves catching a water ferry up a canal with the local, as well as a couple of tuk tuk rides, so wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. For those who take this tour, there are fascinating visits to tiny food shops that you would never find alone. Some have been operating for generations and many only prepare one dish.As the tour progresses, you effectively enjoy a moving feast, enjoying wonderful authentic Thai street food , both sweet and savoury with excellent commentary from Priyaporn. Don't miss this one!
I can only recommend Kano. Super friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and helpful. Showed us so much of the city, took us pass waiting queues and showed us the hot spots, always asking us for our wishes. Besides that he is a professional photographer, took incredible pictures with his camera and sent them to us for free. He never tried to gain any business from us or to earn provisions by taking us to souvenir shops... PERFECT time with him.
We've booked Sascha for a streetfood tour. Within hours after the booking he contacted us to personalize the tour and it turned out to be perfect. Sascha is a super friendly, well educated guide who made us feel like we're old friends right from the moment we've met. The food he chose was amazing and besides us I couldn't see another foreigner, so the tour was absolutely local and not a typical tourist tour - just what we've asked for. Besides the perfect tour, Sascha gave us some great tips for our upcoming destinations and even offered his help if we have any questions during our stay. I can't even imagine a better guide, would definitely book again!
Our guide Sarah was amazing met us on time and, kept in contact showed us around some interesting local areas sampling some street food along the way, a really lovely clever local
Piyaporn was amazing, was able to find foods we'd not yet sampled in our years visiting Thailand. Knowing how much I like the tropical fruits, she was able to find several unknown to us for a tasting. Overall she was knowledgeable and flexible in the tour! Glad we chose her...
From the moment I asked questions about the floating market tour and other things to do in Bangkok, Zarut was so helpful! He gave me so much information even before we put down our deposit and confirmed him as our guide! He took us around the local food market where we were able to try all of the different types of foods. Everything we tried was amazing, and I'd consider myself a foodie. The private boat tour through the canal was peaceful and informative. I would highly recommend choosing Zarut for your local guide! He will cater to your wants and needs!
We only had 3-4 hours in Bangkok, so wanted a short tour of a local food market. We had to come from Phu My port (on a cruise) to Bangkok and were running a little late due to traffic. Piyaporn was understanding and flexible with our arrival time. She was waiting at the rail station for us. We had a very enjoyable tour around two local markets. Being a foodie herself, Piyaporn gave us a fun and informative look at the two markets while sampling some of the local fruits and dishes. I wish we had more time to spend in Bangkok with her.
Jinnicha was amazing. She is super energetic and friendly. She personalized the tour according to my taste and we got to see the whole markets and she helped me with some shopping. I totally recommend this tour!
Piyaporn went out of her way to give us tasty experience in street food at the market. It was educational, fun and tasty! She accommodated us when we were late due to traffic and was easy to communicate with by text for directions. I would highly recommend her tour, especially if you only have a couple of hours in the daytime.
A lovely organic farmers market. Beautifully presented food to taste and buy. Really fabulous host. Creative and fun. A great way to spend a few hours. Superb.
We book tours with Zarut over two days. We wanted something that was off the beaten track - a real cultural experience, and he definitely came through. We visited street food markets, a floating market and Jatuchak and we were pleased that we were the only foreigners in some of the places. Zarut was knowledgable without being a bore, and reliable, without being too formal. It felt like we were spending time with an old friend. He was friendly and communicable even before we arrived in the country, and followed up with us later on to make sure we didn't miss our flight. We will definitely never consider a different host if we visit Bangkok again. The trip was perfect because of him! Note: Zarut was not the first host that we contacted. A couple of the other 'more popular' hosts let us down, possibly because there were only two of us. One of the hosts just started ignoring us altogether. We are so glad he did otherwise we wouldn't have found Zarut :)
We went on a Gordon Ramsey tour with Zarut. What a great host he was. Not only that his English skill was fluent, he had a great sense of humor. I liked how he explained to us the food information while walking through one of the best fresh market in the world! When we got a chance to try on food, Zarut knew where to buy the best dishes and encouraged us to try something new and they were so delicious. We wish we could extend our stay in Bangkok, so we could do more tour with Zarut, but we had to head back home. Sharon
We booked Moddy for the hidden market and food tour after seeing her reviews and we were not disappointed. We were running late, so Moddy came to meet us half way and it was no problem. She is charming, knowledgeable and great fun. Highly recommend a tour with Moddy and we would certainly recommend her to anyone coming to Bangkok.
We really enjoyed spending time with Moddy. She really showcased her knowledge about Thailand and Thai cuisine. Her bubly personality and sense of humour made it all more enjoyable! We were really looked after by Moddy, I would definitely recommend her :)
Moddie is a wonderful host. She is passionate when it comes to food and shopping. She is kind, funny and very outgoing. She was like family. My daughter and I wanted to hang out with her the whole trip. It shows that she loves her country. She gave us some wonderful tips on exploring beautiful Bangkok and shopping advice. i would book her again if we visit this beautiful country again. Love Thailand.
Instead of taking Pierre's travel advice, we followed our hotel's option of a taxi - big mistake. Fortunately we had his whatsapp contact details so we were able to reassure him we were still coming. 50 minutes, late we arrived to find Pierre's smiling face. He took us through a busy local's night market and sampled many varied delights, all with Pierre's expert narration.
Piyaporn is everything you want and expect in a guide. Friendly, helpful, funny and very knowledgable. I was very excited that we were heading outside the tourist area and eating in the local markets. Thank you Piyaporn, we had such an amazing afternoon together eating, laughing and learning all about Thai food and culture. Joanne & Howard xx
I get the need for minimum class sizes or whatever, but when you make a booking and it is accepted. You plan your day accordingly trying to fit everything in to maximize your Bangkok experience, and then out of the blue you get an email say "so sorry, so sad". Not impressed in the least. They did not even extend the courtesy of why they were cancelling. My guess was a lack of numbers. If that is the case then suck it up. You'll win in the long run if one establishes a reputation for consistency and customer service.
We had the best time eating our way through thai cuisine with Tuangtip being an excellent guide who provided lots of interesting background information and extras here and there. Very recommendable!
Tuangtip was early just like me and what an amazing woman. Not only was she knowledgeable about the food, she shared interesting and funny stories about Bangkok, the people, the restaurants and the areas of Bangkok that we visited. The tour took in many spots that had delicious food made by passionate and fun people. I tried so many plates of food I was so full, but we did walk, so it helped me a lot! We crossed the river to try an amazing fish/lemon grass dish that I want to try again which was such a surprise, however I would happily eat everything Tuangtip showed me as the selection was perfect. If you want a tour that is entertaining, knowledgeable and full of the most delicious food, then you must pick Tuangtip to show you around this amazing city. I will be telling all my friends coming to Bangkok who want to do this to talk to her first!
We loved the food trip- Piyaporn is extremely knowledgeable on the Thai food and everything that it entails- she even explained us some recipes ,as she is a enthusiastic cook herself. We made the mistake of booking a dinner for the evening so we could not eat too much, but the food was so delicious that we ate it all anyway. One of the best ways to get to know Bangkok, and we would definitely book her again. She speaks perfect clear English and it was very easy to follow her. She knows her city very well- all in all ,a perfect day out.
Our trip with Tuantip was really beautiful. She was so friendly and kind that it was a great pleasure to meet her. She showed us a lot of very interesting points in Bangkok an had a lot of nice stories to tell. She introduced us perfect into the sectrets of the Thai kitchen. Next time we are in Bangkok we want only her to guide us.....
We did the Gordon Ramsey Tour with Tuangtip just after we' ve arrived in Bangkok. It was the best choice to get in touch with the asian kitchen (yummy!) and-much more important-to get to know the asian way of Life.Tuangtip is the best guide you can imagine, very friendly, polite,FUNNY, informative. Hope to see her again. KOP KHUN KHRA! Rabea & Jens
