Fantastic 1/2 private tour of Grand Palace, Royal Grand Temple and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Eveyting about the tour was great, namely our guide Oat. Would highly recommend.
I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent tour guide services provided by Me Chob, especially Mrs. Aom. They were extremely professional, friendly, helpful, and attentive at all times, making the whole experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. I 100% recommend them!
We had a great day. Our guide George was super friendly and did everything to make the day enjoyable. George really knows his city and its history, the Private boat trip was an unexpected treat. The lunch maybe simple but it was just great. Highly recommend the tour and George as a guide.
We had an absolutely wonderful time exploring the city with Miss Mee. She is an outstanding guide with a deep knowledge of the city’s history and culture, sharing stories that you won't find in guidebooks. The organization was flawless. We especially loved using public transport to get around—it made the whole experience feel authentic and allowed us to see the 'real' Bangkok. Since the tour was completely private, Miss Mee was incredibly flexible and tailored everything to our personal interests and pace. She is not only professional but also very kind and attentive. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a personalized and genuine Thai experience. Thank you, Miss Mee!
Ms Pu is the best guide ever. Only look here, and book directly at taitourguide.com. We wanted to understand Thailand, and very smoothly booked. Everything went according to plan, not one single issue. No waiting, great information, and very fluent English. She is very knowledgable and has great sense of what we would like to know. We saw all major sights and came back to hotel feeling we know Thailand and Bangkok much better. Thank you ms Pu!!!
We booked a 2 day private tour with CHOB Thai Tour Gide and could not have been happier with the experience!!! We had Mr. George and Mr. Happy for both days and they treated us like family and were absolutely wonderful besides being a great guide and EPIC driver! Knowledge, kind and welcoming… we learned so much on both days and saw all of the key things we wanted. We were on a cruise and had an overnight in Bangkok so besides being timely they were sensitive to drive times/arrivals/etc. Mr Happy took great care of us with constant wanted, towelettes and tissue finding all the good restrooms. He was our favor driver of all of the private tours we took over three weeks and has a wicked sense of humor. I thought Mr George was a teacher or professor given the information he imparted … he is a natural at figuring out what to share and knows all the great picture spots doubling as our photographer. Worth every penny and our fondness of Thailand is in part due to this duo!
My husband and I spent two days with our wonderful guide, Ms. Aom, organized by Mr. Chob’s Thai Tour Guides. They were super easy to organize everything with from the U.S. We came to Bangkok via Singapore on a cruise, and so we ended our holiday in Bangkok. They picked us up from Laem Chabang port (about 2 hours outside of Bangkok), had cold water and fresh towels to freshen up on our drive. Then Ms. Aom took us to the Grand Palace and for someone who has been to all 7 continents, I was gobsmacked at how awesome and exotic it was. She answered all of our questions and made it such an interesting and enriching experience. Plus, Ms. Aom must moonlight as a photographer because we got some of the best vacation photos I think we’ve ever had!! We then went on a lovely canal boat ride (private) which was a lovely way to see a different side on Bangkok and then off to Wat Pho and the reclining Buddha. Ms. Aom and our driver were so attentive and super flexible. When my husband wanted to grab a quick bite to eat, no problem, we found an excellent noodle bar. They had us to our hotel right when we asked so we could make our dinner reservation without having to rush. For our second day I orchestrated what for us was a perfect second day, and Ms. Aom couldn’t have been more helpful in executing what was a very custom day. We started with Thai foot massages at Yin Yang, then we went to local art galleries. Sadly for us, many of them were closed because it’s a Monday, but Ms. Aom had back ups and more back ups on the fly. I wanted to try and find a Christmas ornament souvenir of Bangkok and she knew right where to take us in Chinatown. Ms. Aom was so helpful that she’s even going to contact a gallery that was closed and help me hopefully buy a painting that we saw. That’s world class service!! We finished our lunch (Rongros) a bit early and so Ms. Aom suggested we visit the Queen’s Gallery which was fantastic for an art lover like myself. All I can say is that we’re thrilled with Mr. Chob’s Thai Tour Guide and most especially our guide, Ms. Aom and our driver, they were both wonderful and really added to our trip.
Tour Guide George was fantastic! Tailored a very personal tour for us and gave us a great historical overview of the temples and markets in Bangkok. Would highly recommend him to anyone who loves a tour guide with attention to details! Thanks George!!
Guide was on time and very knowledgeable although I thought a little too much repetitive info on Buddhism . I had some difficulty understanding him at times I thought the canalboat ride would be slower to have more conversation . It seemed that getting to the end was the goal of the boat driver. Enjoyed the Grand Palace and the history. Understandably it was very hot so I was tired by early afternoon. I think I could have had the same experience in a group setting.
Mr. George was an outstanding tour guide of Bangkok. He was knowledgeable of history, current events, and was willing to answer all our questions. He was cheerful, professional and eager to please. I highly recommend him as an excellent tour guide. I would definitely request him again if I return. Thank you for the tremendous tour of Bangkok. -Wendy and Kris Wright
Ms Aom was very thorough discussing what we were seeing. It is too bad we were not able to go to the Royal Palace due to its closure. Perhaps we didn't need to have so much discussion regarding all the different Buddhas or go to the Buddha amulet shop as a stop. There is a LOT of walking. The canal ride was fine and the lunch was good. The best part for me was the flower market. Because it was a special holiday, Ms Aom found supplies and flowers for us to make our own floating flower lantern that we were able to put into the river that evening during the celebration.
We had the loveliest time with our guide! She took us on a canal tour, which shows a rare glimpse into always urban Bangkok. We saw the King’s palace, several temples, the great leaning Buddha, the amulet and flower market. Fantastic experience, knowledgeable guide, great service!
We only had a couple of days in Bangkok and wanted to see as much as possible so we booked the highly recommended Thai Private Tour Guide. We did 2 private tours - the tuk tuk night tour and the city tour which included the Grand Palace, the Reclining Buddha Temple, a canal boat tour and the flower market. We also booked our airport transfers with them. Communication with Mr. Chob was excellent. Our guide Alex (Lek) was brilliant! Extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He was very thoughtful and took great care of us, he also managed to find gluten free options for my son at the street market on the evening tour and for lunch on our city tour the next day. We learned a lot about the places we visited and had a great time. Alex is a gifted photographer and took beautiful photos of us throughout the tours. Our driver Tony (Tui) was so nice and helpful. Highly recommended, thank you!
Had George as our tour guide. He was great. He reached out and introduced himself to us ahead of the tour date. He met us at the hotel and was very prompt. He took us to all the places on the tour, shared a lot of his local knowledge about the sites and the traditions of the Thai. The Grand Palace is a must see! Thanks to George for a great day.
The guide was friendly, informative and adjusted our tour according to our needs. Highly recommend!!
We would highly recommend this tour company. They were so professional from start to finish. Booking was easy and quick.Communication was of the highest quality with clear information provided and no hidden costs, in fact they provided so much more than we expected eg snacks, bottled water, cooling towels and flowers from the market. Ms Aom made our stay in Bangkok so special. She really is a lovely lady who we felt was a good friend by the end of the tour. When we met Ms Aom and the mini bus driver at the hotel we knew we were in for a memorable day. She was so knowledgeable and interesting with all the information she provided. We felt we got a feel for Bangkok both with the tourist sites but also about the Thai people and their history and religion. Ms Aom also knew when we were getting a bit tired in the heat and suggested stopping for snacks and doing the canal trip - very thoughtful and timed perfectly. Everything was a highlight with Ms Aom and on this tour. We even went to a flower market where Ms Aom bought flowers for and showed us how to prepare them so we could give them as an offering to our personal Buddha. There is so much more we could say about how good this tour company is and in particular Ms. Aom. All the little touch's really were special and Ms Aom even gave us all gifts at the end which we will really treasure and remind us of an unforgettable day. We wish we could give six stars if we could! Thank you.
My husband and I had a great tour with George! He met us at the hotel right on time and arranged for all transport, attractions and lunch! He was a very knowledgeable and gave us a ton of insight into Bangkok. George took some great photos of us (bringing us to areas that were less crowded) and got us back to our hotel safely. Wouldn’t hesitate to book this tour again!
I was so lucky to have Ms Aom look after me in Bangkok. I only had one day to fit in as much as I could. Ms Aom expertly guided me around the sights and provided so much of her knowledge about the history of each site. She was so friendly and warm and I instantly felt so comfortable with her. She also presented me with a gift at the end of my day that I will forever treasure and have as a reminder of my time in Bangkok. Thank you again for a wonderful day x
First visit to Bangkok. The trip is an excellent introduction. Our guide George was knowledgeable, good communicator and excellent company. Trip on the long boat is an eye opener. Such diversity in living conditions. So much history.
Perfect for those like us who only had a short time in Bangkok. Our Tour Guide Ms Joy was knowledgable and enthusiastic, a pleasure to spend the day with. Even the teenager loved it! Note - cash payment is required on completion of the tour, which was stated in the email but I somehow missed that. Thanks to Ms Joy for her patience while we tracked down an ATM at the end of the day :)
Aom was incredible! Very knowledgeable and was able to help navigate around the grounds plus having it just be the two of us we could go off to quieter spaces to talk. Was able to get some amazing pictures and add a stop on the way back to the hotel. The palace is breathtaking of course but I was pleasantly surprised by the canal part of the tour as well. Highly recommend this tour.
What a great tour! We had visited Bangkok before and been on tours, but this was so much more. Oam was a fantastic guide. Her knowledge of Bangkok was impressive. The Royal Grand Palace was worth the visit again, especially with Oam giving us insights on the history of the palace and its many buildings and temples. The trip in a tuk tuk and on the canal was so much fun. A lunch in a local restaurant on the river was delicious. We then visited the flower markets with an array of different flowers for ornamental and ceremonial arrangements. Thank you again Oam! You showed us your Bangkok and we are so grateful 🙏 I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone ⭐️
We were lucky to have the wonderful Aom as our tour guide with two children aged 8 and 11. She was absolutely wonderful, catering to our children and making sure we all had a great time. Aom's knowledge was fantastic, the lunch was tasty and we were so grateful for her kindness and friendliness throughout the day. Thr sights were amazing and we took the subway, a tuk tuk and three different boats! If you are undecided about whether to book- do it!!
Our tour guide Mr George was very informative. My husband, myself and a friend had a great day out around Bangkok using several means of transport and visiting lots of interesting places. We were not rushed and felt we were in safe hands with this guide. Very polite and helpful. Enjoyed our day out.
Alex was fantastic He met us at early for the days activities Went to the kings temped first He was knowledgeable about the history of Thailand Then we went on the boat tour Lunch then a few more activities Great guy and tour 5 out of 5
Aom was a fantastic guide. Very nice and very knowledgeable. This tour was an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend!!!
AOM!!! If you're pondering over which tour company to choose, stop right here and book a tour with this one! I've traveled extensively and worked with numerous tour guides worldwide, but Aom ranks in my top 3—without a doubt! Spending two unforgettable days with her on a private tour was an absolute joy. I explored Bangkok’s stunning cityscape and marveled at its unique architecture, and honestly, I feel like I packed an entire week’s worth of experiences into such a short time. Aom is not only a fantastic guide but also a wonderful conversationalist who effortlessly shared fascinating historical insights and patiently answered all my questions. And let me tell you about her photography skills! I handed over my phone, and she transformed our adventure into a stunning photo album filled with amazing shots of me and the vibrant city. Her deep love for Bangkok really shines through in everything she does. As someone who is spiritually inclined, I especially appreciated how she took the time to guide me through various temples, helping me understand Buddhist principles and even facilitating blessings. She genuinely went above and beyond—she surprised me with a beautiful flower bracelet, a kilo of fresh mangos, and a thoughtful farewell gift. I could rave on for hours about how exceptional she is! So trust me—just book that tour and get ready for an incredible experience!
Mr. Chob was amazing! Setting up the tour was quick and easy as Mr. Chob was very communicative and responsive. Every question I had, he was happy to answer. He even worked with me to tweak my itinerary. I did the Grand Palace and city tour. Mr. Alex was my tour guide and he was the best tour guide. He’s also friendly and funny. He was very knowledgeable about every place I toured and even helped with taking my pictures. He recommended a great spot for lunch and got me back to my hotel in time for me to catch my flight on time. Would definitely recommend Mr. Chob for any tours you’re doing in Bangkok.
Tour guide was a nice person but unfortunately didn’t have conversational English and wasn’t able to share much information at the sites. At many points we sat in silence and felt like we were just being chaperoned, moving us between locations. From the other great reviews on this tour, I think we may have received a fill in person on the day. It’s worth calling ahead of time and requesting some one with a depth of cultural knowledge & English language if that’s what you’re hoping for on the day.
Terrific way to get a first sense of this city. Anna was a thoughtful guide who seems to love her city and to share it. Since I am on my own without knowing Thai, I really appreciated her facilitating all these experiences.
I previously worked w/ Mr. Chob to coordinate two buses for our Bangkok excursion from our Cruise Ship. He was so receptive and responsive to my numerous inquiries. The first bus included transfers from/back to the ship and the main Bangkok sites. The second bus included the same sites plus a Calypso show and dinner. It was a very long day yet our Guide (Ms. Aom) and driver were exceptional. We learned so much! I would very highly recommend this company!
What an amazing day. Joy met us at our hotel and took us to places we would never have found on our own. She was very knowledgeable as well as the most beautiful person who definitely is in the right job. Joy went out of her way to help us with an errand to pick up tickets and did it all with a smile as well. I cannot recommend this group and tour highly enough and ask for Joy as you will have an outstanding day. Thanks Joy.
Our tour was fantastic. Our guide was so engaging, friendly, informative and flexible with all our needs. She was always enthusiastic while taking pictures of our large group. We enjoyed the traditional snacks she had for us, as well as water, towels and wipes to manage the heat. We left the tour enriched with information about the history of Thailand and awestruck by the beautiful architecture of the Royal Palace and temples. The canal tour at sunset was lovely. Highly recommend this company. Don't look anywhere else.
We cannot recommend Mr. Chob’s Thai Tour Guide highly enough! Having known and trusted Mr. Chob for nearly 20 years, his team is always our go-to whenever we visit the Bangkok area. This time, we finally made it to Ayutthaya, a destination we had long dreamed of exploring, and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide, Joy, who we have also known for many years, made the day truly special. She has a remarkable ability to tailor each tour to our interests and pace, ensuring that every detail is perfect. Her deep knowledge of Ayutthaya’s history and culture brought the ancient capital to life in ways we could not have imagined. From the breathtaking ruins and temples to a delicious riverside lunch, every moment was memorable. The boat tour around Ayutthaya’s island capital added a unique and peaceful perspective to the day—something we will treasure for years to come. Thank you, Mr. Chob, for consistently delivering extraordinary experiences. We give Thai Tour Guide our highest recommendation and look forward to our next adventure with your team!
I went with 'family and friends' on a BKK tour. The guide was very obliging and friendly, she also spoke two languages of which one was English. This made our trip much better. I would choose to do this trip again as very worthwhile and a lot of fun.
The tour is wonderful ! Joy has been very nice, we learned a lot thanks to her and she adjusted the tour perfectly to our family and jetlagged kids ! Thank you very much 🙏
Great way to see the sights of Bangkok, Aom our guide was fab knowledgeable and made the day easy for us. Highly recommend
We had a great city tour of Bangkok organized by Mr. Chob. The guide, Ms. Pu is the best guide you can dream of. Very kind, patient, knowledgeable about all details and with excellent English. She took us to the main temples, markets and boat trips. And brought us to a wonderful restaurant hidden in the back streets that only a local could know of. I highly recommend Mr. Chob as your guide when in Bangkok and surroundings. Mr Chob and team, we will be back!! 🙏
We learnt so much about Bangkok and really enjoyed the canal trip. The food was simple but quite good. The palace was interesting.
Our tour with Mr. Chob and ThaiTourGuide.com was truly special! We started with a scenic long-tail boat ride through the canals, which was absolutely our favorite part – there was just so much to see! Gliding along the water, we soaked up views of Wat Arun and everyday life along the canals, which felt like stepping into another world. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious tasting with all the classic Thai flavors: green curry, red curry, Pad Thai, papaya salad, and finally, mango sticky rice to top it off. Every bite was a treat, and it was the perfect way to experience Bangkok’s famous street food. Next came our Tuk-Tuk tour through Bangkok’s historic old town, passing iconic spots like the Grand Palace and Democracy Monument. Our guide, Alex, was fantastic and shared so many fascinating details and insider tips along the way. He made the whole experience even more memorable. To top it all off, we were conveniently dropped off at the train station. We’d recommend planning at least a day, if not more, for this tour because Bangkok has so much to offer, and you’ll want to take it all in. A huge thank you to Mr. Chob, and Alex our lovely TourGuide-we’ll definitely be back for more!
This half-day tour is a good introduction to Bangkok and all of the landmarks. My guide, Alice was very knowledgeable and helpful. We covered all the major sites. She gave me important details of each major site and significance in history. Each site was very memorable to visit. Then the boat ride was great too! It gave us a great view of the city from a different view. We saw major sites, old town, and the suburbs of Bankok. It was a very timid at first for me, but rest assured it is a great way to view the city. Lastly, after a fulfilling Thai lunch, we walked through some local markets. You can see how the daily lives of local people. From the crazy bustling produce markets to the creativity to floral markets, it is a very interesting way to end the tour. I would highly recommend this tour; it will give you an idea on what you want to cover in the city on your own.
We did 4 trips overall with Thai tour guide. Alex was our guide for all the tours and he very friendly and was very knowledgable about the areas we went to and allowed the right amount of time for each thing, explaining as we went along. The majority of the trips were good value for money. We did Bangkok highlights walking tour which included grande palace and reclining Buddha wat Pho and a longboat river ride. The other trips were bridge over river Kwai with train ride and we also did Ayutthaya the old city, which was very interesting and pretty.
George is one of the best tour guide in Bangkok. I would recommend him. Very patient in providing information/ history of Bangkok
Memorable private tour of Bangkok with family and 2 young children with Mr George. We couldn’t have picked a better tour guide than George to show us around Bangkok. We started off at the flower market and we had our two young kids with us aged 3 & 1. George was so accomodating and warm throughout the whole tour, our kids warmed to him instantly. He was knowledgeable and took us to great locations to learn about the history of the temples, perfect photo spots and made it all very comfortable which was a must when we had a pram. The boat ride on the canal was a highlight for us as it was interesting and fun - kids loved it. As it rained towards the end George was accomodating and took us to a huge mall instead where they had hundreds of stalls indoors. George was warm, patient, knowledgeable and he even helped be an uncle to our two kids on the day. Can’t recommend him enough and we truly were so happy with the private tour. Weeks after the trip we’re still remembering what a wonderful day out we had and looking at the photos! He also gave our two kids a cute trinket and just the other day my kids found it and weee playing with it which brought back fond memories. Thank you George! Hany, Sheryl, Mila & Liam
Everything was very interesting. Our guide George was very good. He had a good knowledge. We were on the skytrain and the MRT. It was a very good experience.
Wonderful guide Joy and driver. Very attentive. Waiting with a cold drink and wet towel was heavenly. Joy educated us about Thai customs and we had lunch in a wonderful fish restaurant. Would recommend this tour agency to anyone.
We scheduled a private tour with Joy & Mr. Gai as our tour guide and driver. It was an unbelievable experience for the whole family. We started at the rail market in the AM, Joy helped us find the right store for a variety of quality souvenirs we were looking for. She knew some great food stalls like the Thai Tea and Coffee we wanted. We continued our journey to the floating market. Such a cool experience on a boat, we took a couple of detours to find specialty items my kids wanted. Had a great lunch and went to the city for the Grand Palace and Reclining Buddha. Then we topped it off with great shopping in the city center. I love this company for the amazing guides, outstanding service and the ability to customize to the things we wanted to see vs. a standard package. Our guide Joy is an amateur photographer by the way. We have some pics that I am not sure a professional would be able to take at various points in the tour. All in all, an amazing day of Thai history, architecture and amazing food. The tour far exceeded any of my expectations and I want to figure out if there are "Joy's & Mr Gai" in the other cities we are visiting.
Excellent and well organised guided tour. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. Joy was a joy to have as our guide! She was very accommodating to everyone’s different needs. Will definitely use this service again. Thank you!
Amazing experience with Ms Aom, We went for The Perfect Introduction to Thailand tour with our 3 & 4 year old children’s and couldn’t fault any part of it. Despite being an hour late Ms Aom was very patient and accommodated us throughout and they didn’t cut the tour short either which was very generous. Very knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, kept us hydrated, found us a halal restaurant to have lunch and also made stop overs in between for us for snacks. Would highly recommend this company to anyone who’s looking for top service & value. Thank you
