This was a really fun tour around Bangkok and Ayutthaya! You get to see cool markets unlike anywhere else we have been in the world. Our tour guide Athens provided a lot of insight to the Thai culture and history, not only at the markets and Ayutthaya, but also along the way pointing out other temples and landmarks across Bangkok. The tour provided a private car and the driver was very helpful and kind, and provided water along the trip. I would recommend this tour to anybody that is visiting Bangkok.

Itinerary
Visit the famous Maeklong Railway Market, one of the most unique markets in Thailand. Here, you will witness the incredible moment when the train passes directly through the market. As the train approaches the station, local vendors quickly pull back their umbrellas, fold their awnings, and move their goods away from the railway tracks to clear the path. Once the train has passed, everything is set up again within seconds, and the market returns to its lively atmosphere. At the market, you will find a wide variety of products including fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, local snacks, and many inexpensive souvenirs. It is also a great place to observe the daily life of local people as they sell fresh produce and goods in this bustling traditional market. Don’t forget to take photos of this amazing and unique experience.
After visiting the famous Maeklong Railway Market, continue the journey with a short 20-minute drive to the original floating market of Thailand, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the floating market, enjoy tasting a variety of delicious Thai desserts and local foods recommended by your guide. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as local vendors sell their goods from boats along the canal. Take your time to explore, shop for souvenirs, and capture memorable photos of this unique Thai cultural scene.
Wat Mahathat Temple is one of the oldest and most important temples in the history of Ayutthaya built in the late 14C. This temple is very famous because the great holy relics of Lord Buddha was once enshrined in the central prang tower and it’s the location of the sand stone buddha head embedded in the tree’s root which is the highlight of Ayutthaya province.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is world class famous because it is listed as the world heritage sites recognized by the UNESCO in 1991 and it was the most important temple in the golden era of Ayutthaya kingdom as it was the royal chapel of the palace used for the religious functions of Ayutthaya Kings and it is considered as architectural prototype of the Emerald Buddha temple in Bangkok
Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit is located to the south of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet Temple. A bronze Buddha image, Phra Mongkhon Bophit, inside the hall could be dated to the 15th century. The Buddha image is 12.45 meters in height and 9.55 meters in width at the lap span.

This private service was excellent! Highly customized to our preferences. We came when Bangkok had recently experienced flooding, and we expected the markets to beunavailable. Thankfully, our guide reached out to propose an alternative service because the floating markets would not be available. On the day of our tour however, the markets Were open. We had an absolutely amazing time. Our guide, Poppe, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure she took us to the best spots for souvenirs, the best restaurant for lunch and navigated changing our route midstream. Our driver was professional and consistently insured. We had cold water and were safely transported. Highly recommend!
Thank you Poppy and Mr Tom for a great morning. Poppy’s sense of humour and her ability to consider what we wanted out of our tour was invaluable. Mr Tom’s car was clean, comfortable and roomy , and he made sure we had cold water and refreshing towels throughout our tour.
Nate got us to the railway market right before the train arrived so we had front row seats to watch the stalls pull back. Floating market was loud and fun, and Ayutthaya was impressive. Seeing elephants near the old temples was awesome. Great job by Nate keeping everything on schedule!
Watching the train squeeze past all the fresh fruit and fish stalls was mind-blowing! Then visiting the peaceful old temples in Ayutthaya later in the day was just beautiful. Tip was a great guide who explained everything simply without rushing us. Thank you Tip!
If you only have one day, book this! Picking up souvenirs at the railway market while waiting for the train was awesome. Damnoen Saduak was super fun on the boat, and Ayutthaya’s ancient temples were unbelievable. Paula was so friendly and managed the timing perfectly.
What an incredible day! We watched the vendors quickly move their vegetable baskets as the train passed through Maeklong, explored the colorful floating market, and then continued on to Ayutthaya to see the beautiful ancient temples. Paula was an amazing guide, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and always right on time. She took great care of us throughout the whole day and made everything feel easy and well organized. Our vehicle was very clean and comfortable, with nice cold air conditioning and plenty of cold drinking water waiting for us. It was a long day, but everything ran so smoothly. I was worried it would be exhausting, but having a clean, cool van to rest in on the drive to Ayutthaya made a huge difference. The floating market boat ride in the morning was busy and full of energy, and the quiet temple ruins in the afternoon were lovely. Thanks Paula for a great tour!
Loved that we could get a good nap in the van during the drive out to Ayutthaya after the morning markets. The floating boat tour was exciting with people selling food right from their boats. The ancient temples were super cool to walk around. Thanks Nate for a hassle-free trip!
It was a very organized trip, we like every minute, very informative , culturel and lifetime experience. Special thank to our guide Som for her very kind and friendly assistance to make our trip wonderful.
The tour was excellent! From the moment we contacted the agency, they were very flexible and allowed us to change the itinerary and pick us up from two different hotels that weren't very close. Our host, Miss Som, was extremely kind, patiently answered all our questions, and allowed us to make the stops we requested. Her recommendations were excellent. They provided us with all the water we needed, delicious coconut ice cream, and mango sticky rice. It was a lovely day, with practically all the places to ourselves. Excellent communication, punctual, clean, and attentive. I highly recommend it!
The tour offers variable experience, riding on a boat for floating market, watching a train passing a crowded market, visiting temples.
Words cant express how wonderful our trip was to the original floating market and the ancient city of Ayutthaya. We learned a lot and saw so much things that we only dreamed of seeing one day and this tour made that happened for us. But the most important thing about this tour was the professionalism of our tour guide Angie for her hospitality, kindness and knowledge about the tour. She even let us personalized the tour to accommodate our wishes of renting a Thai costume to take pics in the ruins. Special shout out also to our driver Peter for keeping us safe. Highly recommended!!!!! If you decide to take this tour book Angie, she is such a nice guide and the best hands down!!!!
We had a really enjoyable time with Patrick. He has a great sense of humor and a relaxed vibe that made the whole day feel comfortable and easygoing. He’s good at reading the group and knew when to share information and when to give us time to explore on our own. If you’re looking for a friendly and well-balanced tour experience, Patrick is a great choice.
We took the whole family on this tour and Bee was absolute magic. Traveling with kids and seniors can be a lot, but the van was incredibly spacious and the AC was ice-cold a total lifesaver! After walking through the Railway Market, stepping back into that cool van with the chilled water Bee had ready for us was heaven. Ayutthaya was stunning, and the kids actually stayed engaged thanks to Bee
You can’t help but smile when you’re with Bee. She turned the trip to the railway market into a fun adventure. Ayutthaya so grand, it’s hard to believe it was built so long ago. Bee is an incredible guide who knows how to keep things fun.
If you want to see everything in one go, this is it. Tina was a champ, navigating us through the chaos of Damnoen Saduak. Pro tip: try some local food on the boat it really adds to the experience! The market itself has a huge variety of souvenirs, so it’s a great place to pick up gifts and local products. By the time we arrived Ayutthaya, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, a perfect contrast from the lively morning markets. Such a well-balanced and memorable day!
Lots of fun with Poppy today. She took great care of us
My husband and I were unable to book excursions with our travel tour in Bangkok. Our solution was to book a private guide and driver. Angie and AJ were excellent. Angie was very knowledgeable and patient. She knew the shortcuts at train street and all of the best photo spots at each location. What started as a travel snafu ended up as a lucky break. We got to see more than we would have with our travel tour’s excursion. Angie and AJ exceeded our expectations!
Railway market and floating market was my favorite way to start the day. Annie showed us around and gave us time to explore. The railway market was exciting when the train arrived. Ayutthaya was absolutely stunning. Annie was kind, patient, and very professional.
This private tour ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our time in Thailand, and a huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful guide, Bee. We started the morning at the floating market, and the energy there was incredible. It was already busy when we arrived, with boats everywhere, vendors calling out, and people moving in every direction. It felt alive and exciting. Bee guided us through the crowds with ease and helped us find some amazing local snacks. I still can’t stop thinking about the fresh mango sticky rice we had while sitting next to the canal watching the boats pass by just inches away. What I appreciated most was that Bee didn’t rush us, even though it was crowded. She made sure we could take it all in, explained what was happening around us, and even helped us interact with some of the vendors. The railway market was another unforgettable moment. Bee knew exactly where to stand, and when the train finally came through, it was surreal watching the stalls fold away and reopen just minutes later. It felt like watching a tradition that had been perfected over generations. Ayutthaya in the afternoon was absolutely breathtaking. After the excitement of the markets, the ancient temples felt calm and powerful. Bee shared the history in a way that made it easy to imagine what the city must have looked like hundreds of years ago. Walking among the ruins with her explanations made the experience far more meaningful than if we had visited alone. What really made this tour special was Bee herself. She was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, but also very genuine. We never felt like just customers. By the end of the day, we were tired in the best possible way, with so many unforgettable memories. I would recommend this tour and especially Bee without hesitation.
I was worried the day would be too long, but Kay made sure we had breaks and cold water ready. At the floating market, we took a small boat ride which was my favorite part. In Ayutthaya, we walked slowly and never felt rushed. It was the perfect pace.
Ken didn’t just take us to the main spots. At the floating market, he showed us a small corner where locals were cooking fresh noodles. It was amazing. In Ayutthaya, he brought us to a quiet area where we could hear nothing but the wind. It was peaceful and beautiful.
I traveled with my friends and joined this tour with May, and everything was well organized. We visited the famous railway market, explored the floating market, and later went to Ayutthaya to see the historic temples and beautiful old ruins. The whole experience was fun and interesting. The air-conditioned vehicle was very comfortable, and having cold water available during the trip was a nice touch, especially in the warm weather. May was kind, professional, and made the journey enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!
Som is a great guide! We had a wonderful trip with no rushing at all, perfectly adapted to our wishes. Som answered all of our questions and was an incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable guide. It’s definitely a day we will remember for a long time. Highly recommended!
This was my second visit to Thailand, and this time my friends suggested joining a tour with Bee. I booked the Maeklong Railway Market and Floating Market tour, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Bee was very friendly and attentive, always making sure everyone felt comfortable. Seeing the train pass through the busy market was exciting, and the floating market was full of colorful shops, fresh fruits, local food, and many souvenirs. The boat ride was relaxing and gave us a great view of local life along the canal. After that, we continued our journey to Ayutthaya, which was an amazing historical place. The ancient temples and ruins were beautiful and full of history, especially the famous Buddha head in the tree roots and the impressive old architecture. Bee explained many interesting stories about Thai history, which made the visit even more meaningful. It was truly a wonderful and memorable experience, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore both local markets and historical sites in one day.
We had an incredible time on this private tour! Our guide, Tina, was absolutely fantastic and made the whole day special. We started at the Railway Market to see the train, then headed to the Floating Market, which was so lively and fun. The highlight was sitting on the boat while Tina bought us delicious Mango Sticky Rice to eat it was such a sweet treat! Afterward, we went to Ayutthaya, which is breathtakingly beautiful with ancient temples over 300 years old. Also, a big shoutout to our driver for being so professional and driving so safely. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
If I hadn’t joined this tour, I probably wouldn’t have had the chance to see such beautiful sights and amazing places. Our guide, Annie, took great care of us from the floating market all the way to Ayutthaya. The floating market was fun. Ayutthaya, on the other hand, is filled with incredible stories and history. You get to see the Buddha head entwined within the roots of a tree, surrounded by nature, as well as old ruins that reflect the struggles and wars with neighboring countries before Thailand became what it is today. There are also Buddha statues that were damaged during past wars, which I personally feel was quite unfortunate. Overall, I really loved this tour it was both fun and educationa. It was a truly memorable experience. Thank you again, Annie!
Awesome day out Ken was super professional and kept our group on track so we didn’t miss the train at the Railway Market. The Floating Market was a bucket-list moment. In Ayutthaya, Ken’s stories about the ruins and the Buddha statues made everything so much more interesting. Walking through the historical sites and seeing the ancient temples up close was truly the highlight of the trip exploring the city together with friends is a must-do.
What a day! Patrick has so much energy and kept us laughing from 8 AM onwards. The Railway Market is wild, and the Floating Market is a must-do, but Ayutthaya was the cherry on top. Walking around the ancient city was amazing, and it was so cool to see the temples up close from ground level. Patrick also pointed out the best street food stalls make sure you try the “Roti Sai Mai” (candy floss crepes) he recommends. So good!
Our private tour with May was absolutely spectacular and easily the highlight of our trip! We started the morning at the Maeklong Railway Market, where May timed our arrival perfectly so we could see the umbrellas fold back just as the train passed through an incredible sight. Next, we headed to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which was such a fun experience; I ended up buying so many souvenirs for my friends thanks to May's help. A truly special moment was when May treated us to delicious coconut ice cream to eat right on the boat it was such a thoughtful and refreshing surprise! We finished our day exploring the stunning ancient temples in Ayutthaya, where May shared fascinating historical stories that really brought the ruins to life. May was professional, kind, and made sure every detail was perfect. If you’re looking for a seamless and memorable day trip, I highly recommend booking with her!
Loved the vibe of this tour! Kay was so welcoming. The boat ride at the floating market was such a fun experience, and exploring the ancient ruins in Ayutthaya was absolutely magical. I felt very well taken care of as a solo traveler.
Incredible day. Tina is a gem! She knew all the history and the best angles for photos. We started at the floating market, which was lively, colorful, and a really fun way to begin the trip before heading to Ayutthaya. Exploring the ancient temples on foot gave us such a special perspective, and every stop felt meaningful and beautiful. Highly recommend!
We had a blast with Ken. He’s a pro at navigating the crowds we got the perfect spot to see the train pass at Maeklong without getting squashed! Visiting Ayutthaya was a real highlight for us. It’s super scenic, and you get to see how locals live alongside these massive ancient temples. The van was freezing cold, and Ken was such an easygoing and helpful guy. Totally worth the money.
Very positive experience. Our guide Nate was exceptional- very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and took care of us throughout a very long day. The program was very extensive and included all we asked for.
Nate’s an outstanding guide who skillfully kept us safe while helping us go through both the railway and floating markets. They were both very unusual and exciting experiences. My partner had trouble sitting in a boat, so Nate talked to the owner and devised a way using several seat cushions that he could Thoroughly enjoy the boat ride Through the floating market Nate was Very knowledgeable about history of Bangkok and Thailand. Really enjoyed the wonderful restaurant on the water and the tour of Ayutthaya. It was very hot and he made sure he found shady areas, gave us cold water and cold cloths. The driver was very helpful and drove very carefully through all Sorts of traffic. We have had many different guides in our extensive traveling and Nate was one of the best. Would highly recommend
Tina made the day easy and enjoyable. Railway Market, Floating Market, Ayutthaya all went smoothly. Loved seeing everything without worrying about tickets or transport.
James showed us around. Railway Market carts flying by were hilarious. Floating Market canals so scenic. Ayutthaya temples were majestic. Some coconut ice cream on the boat made the day even sweeter.
My wife and I have booked many day trips in different countries but this one in particular was excellent. I would highly recommend this trip. Our driver Peter and our tour guide Angie were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
Annie took us around. Railway Market was lively, Floating Market boat ride was peaceful, and Ayutthaya temples were stunning. Great laughs all day, perfect mix of sightseeing and chill time.
Went with my partner and guide Patrick. Railway Market was insane but so fun, carts zooming by! Floating Market boat ride was peaceful, and sitting there eating the mango sticky rice was a small bliss. Ayutthaya temples were breathtaking. Patrick kept us laughing all day.
After hearing about this trip from friends I booked for my family. We have two teenage boys (15,17) who are hard customers to please and they loved it! The train market was a bustling and energetic first part of the day, then the floating market was a relaxing way to end in the little boat. Our tour guide Poppy was so friendly and helpful, asking us what we were interested in seeing or buying along the way. She took great photos for us too. All in all a great day, highly recommend.
A full day out just two of us. Nate was our amazing guide for the day. From beginning to end he was so lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and interactive. It was a long day but we were looked after extremely well and Nate organised everything with ease and precision. We really enjoyed the day out and the three amazing places that we visited. There was no waiting around, no hassle and our lovely driver, Mr Nom was very prompt and pleasant and transported us in the lovely comfortable car with ease and very safe driving. Highly recommend both Nate and Mr Nom and NonNov travel tour company. Thank you all
We did this Private Tour where we visited a Railway Market and a Floating Market and finally the ruins of Ayutthaya, they all had something unique to offer. Great experience all around so this full day tour was well worth it. Well executed tour thanks to our great guide and transportation was spot on.
Our day with Da was really nice. The Market was fun to walk around, and Da pointed out interesting shops. At the floating market, we eat mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream, then hopped on a boat to explore the canals super relaxing. Ayutthaya was amazing; the ruins and the Buddha head in the tree roots were even cooler in person. Da kept everything smooth and made the day easygoing.
If I had to describe the day in one word, it would be “Everything” The excitement of the train squeezing past the market booths was fun, while the Floating Market boat ride was calm. Ayutthaya’s ruins were stunning; the Buddha head deserved a few pictures. Annie shared her history knowledge, helped us grab some beautiful pictures, and made the whole day feel spot on!
James did a good job. On time, organized, and kept things moving at a comfortable pace. He gave us space to enjoy the markets and temples but was always around if we needed help. Smooth trip, just how I like it.
Patrick was our guide. He's a cool guy, easy to talk to. Knows the routes well and gave us some background info here and there, not too much, just enough. Also helped take photos without making it awkward. Really chill vibe the whole day.
We had a really nice day with Jenny! We went to the Railway Market and then the Floating Market before heading to Ayutthaya. The van was cool with air-conditioning, and we had cold water during the ride. In Ayutthaya, we took a short boat ride along the river to see the temples such a relaxing way to explore. Jenny was calm, friendly, and made everything simple and enjoyable. Definitely a day I’ll remember.
Floating market with delicious local food, then headed to Ayutthaya. Took a boat ride to see the temples and ruins from the river such a unique experience. Annie was knowledgeable and friendly, making the trip smooth and enjoyable.
