The tour in Samut Songkhram was really interesting and fun. Feeding the monkeys and plants mangroves was super cool and the landscape is so beautiful. Also learning more about salt farming was so cool! Everyone was super friendly and helpful.
I really liked the tour. You could see a lot of cool stuff
It was fun! Saw monkeys, nice people, cool mud surfing,…
It was so fun! The guides explained everything so passionately and in detail. I would recommend LJ Tour for an amazing experience!
Fabulous trip, highly recommend it. We were so lucky to have Henry who was a brilliant guide. He was so funny and knowledgeable, sharing historical facts and stories about local events. He seemed to know everyone, and his friend at the railway market let us stand in their shop , allowing us a safe view of the train. Boating through the canals was a real highlight. Such a great trip thanks Henry 🤩
It was an amazing time. One of the most memorable experiences of my trip. Beautiful views and great times. I felt comfortable the entire time. Would recommend to anyone!
Our guide Henry was an amazing knowledgeable guide. Interesting, informative, and kept us safe from any danger and issues. Made sure we are at Henry approved places. Would definitely book with him again and again!! I’d give him 10 stars!!
The Meetup location was great. We drove out of town to catch the old train, which took us to the 'Train Market ', then back on the van to the floating market location. The floating market thought interesting, it felt like a tourist place rather than a traditional market place. Snacks was good. Our guide, though nice and enthusiastic was a little short on history telling. We also stopped at a coconut -sugar making place. Great bathroom break location. Over all the experience was nice, but I wouldn't do it again.
Awesome experience, the tour guide was a blast and joy for I be around 10/10 would do again. We also had a little side stop at a coconut plantation, super interesting seeing how everything was processed.
King was our amazing tour guy who spoke perfect English. He was fun and witty, really brought the tour to life. We got to try some Market food and try on the Thai silk outfits. The best part was the floating market. 10/10 would recommend
Our family had an amazing time on this tour — and that’s saying a lot considering we are not morning people. But thanks to our tour guide, Mr. King, we were wide awake and laughing before the sun even came up. The Train Market was such a wild experience! Instead of fighting the crowd for the perfect photo, we got to ride the actual train like VIPs. We passed fruit orchards, rice fields, and kids waving like we were celebrities — which, honestly, we accepted. Then we hit the Floating Market, where we ate our way down the canal. Souvenirs? Got ’em. Snacks? Yes, several. Photos? Mr. King made sure we had the best angles — even the ones where we pretend we’re rowing the boat ourselves (we were not). If time allows, you also stop at a coconut farm. We learned more about coconuts in 15 minutes than we’ve learned in our entire lives. Would we survive on a deserted island now? Probably not. But we’d definitely appreciate the coconuts more.
Amazing experience king was the best tour guide !! So much fun!!! Was a great combination of the Market tour and also had an add on bonus tour of sugar and coconut farm
We had a private tour with Guide King. He was so fun, and English was pretty good. No lines, and he knew all the right spots to take us.
Best tour if you want to see a lot and only have a short amount of time! Even includes the train ride! Guide is also very knowledgeable and super friendly.
Super nice experience with our tour guide Johnny! He took care of us with the tipical Thai kindness and smile, leading us both in the railside market and the floating one: both were amazing! Thanks to a 14 years of tour experience, Johnny was able to show us the best spots for wonderful photos and to have lunch. Special thanks also to our careful driver Tah Tam!
Great experience. Train ride and floating markets, brilliant. Guide knowledgeable and very friendly. Excellent driver. Minibus clean and comfortable.
We had a fun packed morning taking in the unique experiences of the train market and the floating markets. This was well worth a visit! A special shout out to our guide Johnny who was very welcoming, fun and very informative.
Mr. Kriang was amazing!!! We got to see the railway and floating market and buy souvenirs. He also took pictures of everything.
Boby was an excellent tour guide. Honestly I didn’t had to many expectations with this tour. But it ended to be the best I had in Thailand .
Great excursion -- Mr Johnny is a wonderful guide, making sure I was comfortable while seeing the best parts of the floating market and the railway market. He is a friendly and informative guide who made the tour fun and totally stress-free. I also appreciated the convenience of the air conditioned private vehicle, and hotel pick-up and drop-off. For me, it wasdefinitely worth the price of the private tour since traffic in Bangkok is IMPOSSIBLE to predict and getting to meet-me points for tours is more of a hassle than in many other large cities.
Really fun tour! Thank you Mr Kriangkrai! Got to ride the train into Maeklong railway market, and then see it depart through the market. Had some yummy coconut ice cream at the floating market. A delicious lunch and then boat ride to see monkeys in the mangrove area.
JHONNY it's the best guide of all. Super funny and correct. He shows you all the places with a smile and he have all the the tricks. The tour it's amazing but he put something special to that. Thanks for this day Jhonny it will be in our memory for ever. Best regards dear Jhonny ❤️
A little expensive but worth it when you’re on the train doing high fives with those who only paid to see the train at the market. It is a wonder why locals set up shop on rails lines having to move all when a train passes. The market is full on with everything from beheaded fish, live frogs and insects to plastic tourist trap crap! You know what I mean. The train journey takes you through coconut farms, salt fields and where the locals live and how. Over an hour at least. The boat trip is quite long and staying away from the madding crowd that you experience from Bangkok itself. You can still pick up things but from a laid back environment. The journey takes you through the quiet back water canals. Car from door to door with an excellent guide called Lin in our case. It’s a private tour and in this case, private is you and you alone.
King my guide was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable about all the local customs and culture. The tour was completely customized for me and I had great time.
We’ve just got back from this trip with the absolutely lovely Aom and we have had a wonderful day. Communication before the trip was excellent and we were met at our hotel which made it very easy. Transport was in a very comfortable air conditioned car with an excellent driver who did a great job all day. Aom knows all the best places to go and also takes great photos. The day started by heading to the train station where we had coffee and also got to see the salt fields which was an unexpected bonus. The train ride itself was great, marvellous views out of the train seeing the wildlife on the salt pans. Of course the highlight was when we pulled into the market. It’s crazy! The stalls are pulled back just enough for the train to squeeze past and the people wave and take photos as you arrive. After this we had a delicious lunch and then got to explore the market and watch the stall holders pack up quickly as the train left so we got to see it go past as well as arrive in it. From there we went onto a coconut farm which was a great stop, lots of local produce to see and good crafts. After that it was on to the floating market after a good half hour lazy rowboat trip around the canals around the locals houses. It was really enchanting and relaxing. The market came next and was great fun and the mango sticky rice was superb. You’ll get a lot of lovely treats along the way with this tour but the real treat is spending the day with Aom, you will leave the tour knowing you have a new friend in Thailand👍
We had so much fun with Paula, she is so energetic and engaging! The markets were hectic but fun and she took plenty of pictures! Surely will contact her in the future for other tours we need in Bangkok area. She was very attentive to our needs (water, bathroom, etc.) and was sure to make sure we were as comfortable as can be (even in 90 degrees weather ha!). Thank you Paula, the millers adore you!
Paula and the driver was amazing! I love how she took so many pictures and helped create memories for us. I strongly recommend doing this tour with her it was the highlight of Bangkok for us.
This was the best tour we have done in Thailand. Johnny was a tour guide extraordinaire - gave us excellent advice; took us on unexpected and fascinating mini tours that weren’t mentioned in the tour information such as the coconut sugar farm. Johnny has many friends and contacts at the markets which meant we got access to places. He made sure we had the best positions on the train and in the tracks so we got excellent views and photos of the market train. At the floating markets, again, his contacts and friends at the markets meant we had excellent opportunities for seeing the canals, boats and shops. In addition to all this, he purchased food and drinks. We were so full at the end of this tour! We ate, chicken and rice at the railways markets, boat noodles at the floating markets, mango and sticky rice, he brought fruit for us to try - oranges and pomelo; we got to try the coconut sugar and coconut icecream…. So much food… such beautiful hospitality. I cannot recommend Johnny highly enough - he is without a doubt THE BEST tour guide and organiser I have been on. Thank you Johnny … you are awesome!
Johnny was an incredible guide for the train and floating markets. He explained to us the history of the markets, ensured we had one of the best seats in the house to see the train (both from the train and on the ground), and had us try many delicious foods during our tour. Johnny is extremely personable and enthusiastic, he's overall very fun to be around. He took many pictures of us as well so we have plenty of memories from the day. Thank you for a great tour!
Mr. Wais was an excellent tour guide! He was knowledgeable, patient, and engaging, making the Railway and Floating Market tour enjoyable for our family with kids. The transport was comfortable and convenient. Mr. Wais went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, even accommodating our kids' needs. Highly recommend!
Johnny the tour guide provided very insightful information on both the train station market and the floating market. Both places are quite interesting. Highly recommended.
Not only was this a five star trip, but our guide Johnny had a five star smile. Personable and full of information, he made us feel like this was a VIP experience. He made sure we tried the best food and found the perfect spots for pictures. He communicated with us before and during the trip, so we knew exactly what was going on at all times. An awesome experience!
Fantastic day trip. We were 2 families (4 adults 4 kids) and we all enjoyed the trip. The experience of riding the local train, the boat and experiencing the local markets was definitively a high for all of us! Our tour guide George was super, very good English and very knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend this trip!
We enjoyed a great tour with Johnny who planned very well the visit to both markets and he surprised us with a trip by train to arrive to Maeklong station. Additionally he let us tested different kind of food and each one was delicious. Five stars for this tour and Johnny who made it possible.
Our tour with Johnny was amazing! He was so professional and explained everything so well Johnny had a great sense of humor, was engaging and made sure we saw everything and had us taste many different foods. He made our tour truly special!
Very interesting tour with lots of good information and a variety of experiences. Highly reccomended.
Mr. Montree was the absolute best tour guide! Very knowledgeable about Thai culture, history, and current affairs. Will make sure all your needs are met the whole trip! Also very flexible with time. He also took great photos of us the entire time and sent them to my phone after the trip. Most thoughtful tour guide. I couldn’t sing his praises anymore! 10/10 recommend Mr. Montree.
Mr Montree was the most AMAZING guide. Every single part of our morning was tailored around us and our comfort. We managed to experience such an incredible amount of things in only half a day!! He gave us some fantastic recommendations, took incredible photos (I usually hate photos of me but these are genuinely really really sweet) and showed us the best food. We got to make coconut pancakes, try smoothies, stop the driver of the market train with iced drinks, see a Thai coconut farm and Thai house, see a salt field and obviously the floating market. This trip was definitely worth it, our guide deserves the highest praise!!!!
Our tour guide for the Railway and Floating Market was Montree. He was very punctual in meeting us at the hotel. He came with the driver and the car was clean. Luckily, my husband and I were the only ones booked that day so it became a private tour. Montree took us to the first stop which was a salt farm. His English was good and explained to us how the salt was harvested. This place was also where we catch the train to the Railway market. He went and got us good seats. He also, later on, got us into the conductor cab somehow where we got a great view of the train going into the Market. At the market, he explained how it works and got us great spots to watch the next train coming in. After that was the coconut farm and then the floating market. Throughout the tour, Montree added little touches that only an insider would know to make the experience special. There was no waiting in any of the activities and he coordinated everything well. He takes pictures for us so we don't have to worry about it and we can focus on enjoying the experience. He then sends all the pics to us. Overall, a remarkable experience and I have no doubt I would not have gotten a better experience with another company.
We can only recommend this tour! Montree is an awesome guide, very attentive, friendly and communicative- not only sharing information on the tour but Thai culture en general. The tour as such is also very interesting, apart from the railway and floating market two additional sights are visited, time was literally flying by!
Aom, our guide, took the time to explain the cultural insight, like taking us to a Buddhist temple, giving us gold leaf to allow us to participate in the rituals. She didn’t just translate for us. She was our guardian and teacher, enthusiastically introducing us to Thailand. It was amazing to be on the railway train and watching everyone outside in the market. Later, it was our turn to shop and wave to the train riders. Aom made it all special. She was incredible.
Second time for a tour with Buay. Second time an amazing experience. If you really want to explore the country, I would highly recommend you to book with them. They know all the local spots, the History and the culture. You would miss out otherwise.
Wes our guide was amazing! We had a very fun day. Definitely the best way to see both markets and try some of the local food with.
What an incredible experience! Both markets were so interesting to see and Mr. Johnny took great care of us along the way. He got us to each place early & we beat the crowds, he gave us waters and local foods along the way, and shared interesting facts. But above all he was friendly and honestly just delightful. The van to/from the destinations was very comfortable and had great AC. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone/everyone!
We had a great guide Mr Johnny , He was so interesting guided us around the market‘s . We tasted a lot of food and were always save on all the spots. Our driver was also a pretty good driver to all the places. Thanks a lot for the interesting experience
Very good experience with Guide Mr.Johnny and his partner Mr.Party. The railway market and floating market was very fun place to visit for sure. Mr Johnny has us an excellent tour of the places with awesome snacks to munch on throughout the journey. If anyone comes to bangkok, they must visit the railway and floating markets . A good guide will make the trip fun and easier Would definitely recommend Mr.Johnny
Terrific tour guide! A half-day tour of the floating market and umbrella market with Bubpha turned out to be one of the best tours of Bangkok! She did the tour with good humor and was able to adapt the schedule and our interests to fit what we were most interested to see. Adding a driver was an added benefit as it enabled Bubpha to give us more personal time. It's well worth the money, and I would highly recommend Bubpha as a guide, and would absolutely book another tour with this company.
Harry was the absolute best tour guide! He had amazing knowledge of the history for the area and Thailand in general. The amount of ground we covered was great and we got to see and do a bit of everything, including riding in a “James Bond” boat. Bonus points to Harry for being a jokester and great photo-taker, but he was also attentive and consistently did his best to make sure everyone was having a good time. If you want to experience the railway & floating market in Thailand, I’m confident this is the best company to do it with!!
Montree was an amazing tour guide! It ended up being just me on the tour and he picked me up right on time from my hotel. I specifically chose this tour because I got to ride the train to the market as well as see it go through the market. Montree took care of everything from start to finish and I knew I was in good hands. Thank you for an awesome tour!
