Ignore the negative reviews. This tour was absolutely worth it and ended up being one of the best tours we’ve ever taken! The company was very clear about everything from the beginning. A lot of the complaints in the reviews seem to come from people who didn’t read the instructions or expectations carefully. We knew exactly what to expect, and everything was delivered as promised. Our tour guide, Hady, was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. His energy, enthusiasm, and attention to the group made the tour even more enjoyable. The tour itself was incredible, well organized, fun, and memorable from start to finish. The only thing worth mentioning is that while the itinerary lists the end time as 2:00 PM, that’s when the activities end. You still need to account for the drive back, which brought us closer to 4:00 PM because of traffic. That said, the return trip was actually quicker than we expected and wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, this was an excellent experience and one I would absolutely do again. I would take this tour 10 more times and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Itinerary
Maeklong Railway Market is a traditional Thai market selling fresh vegetables, food and fruit. What makes the market special is that it occupies part of a train line. A few times a day, there’s a train running directly through the market. A few minutes before the train comes, vendors lower their umbrellas and move some of their produce away from the train tracks. Some are left on the ground, with the train passing right over them. Amazingly, nothing gets damaged or broken, and as soon as the train passes, the vendors move their goods back onto the tracks and continue as normal (until the next train arrives).
Famous for its tourist-friendly floating markets, Damnoen Saduak is the one you’ll find in the tourist literature on Thailand. Bring your camera along to witness the river packed with wooden boats overflowing with fruit and vegetables, which they sell to people standing on land. The scene is colourful and loud; just as you’d expect from a Thai market. It is just 100km from Bangkok.

The person we had gave us a great insight to what we were going to see. It was very enjoyable 😉 ☺️ Great 👍
Travel.to and from this location consumes.your whole day. Plus.the noise.and air pollution from long tail.biats is terrible. Find something else to do.
Nice overall, but the train ride is super boring. Maybe just go to the train market alone instead of this tour.
It was a good experience but it had become to touristy. Way too many people and a little hard to enjoy. But still had a good time with the experience. :-)
Guide was kind and informative. The experience of the train market and floating market are very cool.
It was very touristic and the train ride was only interesting the last 5 minutes. A lot of souvenir vendors at the floating market. Don't forget to bargain.
Going on the boat rides for it was fun and would do it again. Very creative how there's shops on boats to.
Great toyr. The railway market was so much fun. The floating market was crazy but we loved it. Tour guide MT was fantastic.
Interesting day yesterday. This tour has a lot if driving. Our van was not the most comfortable (older van model). Most if us had stiff muscles by the end of the day. The boat ride was also shorter (about 10 minutes) than what we were told (20-25 minutes). It took about 3h30 to get back to our hotel.
This tour is one that you have to experience. Our group of 15 boarded the train with the tour guide, not knowing exactly what to expect when the train pulled into the market. We were so close to the vendors and people. Then we got off the train and experienced being in the crowd when the train came thru. WOW! It was fun.
Terrible tour operator. Viator confirmation said 9 am yet tour guide expected us to be ready to leave prior to 8. We were a group of 9, including 3 kids, and the operator refused to wait. We requested them to wait so we can feed the kids breakfast and get them ready and they refused. Furthermore, they declined a request for a refund despite no tour ever occurring
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave very good tips for tourists. Very friendly and punctual guide. Overall was an enjoyable experience.
Amazing trip with Alex. He really did make the trip and made sure everyone knew where they were going at all times :) would recommend
The overall tour was nice and interesting. We were able to buy plenty of things in the Maeklong Train Market and eat lots of seafood in the Amphwa Floating Market, but sadly we were not able to see much of the fireflies because it was not in season when we visited (October is the season for fireflies, we went during February)
If you need just transportation to the markets; this is it! And that is exactly what you'll get. Our "tour guide" was Elf. I have no idea when the markets started, why or any other details. The almost two hour ride there and back was spent in near silence. No explanation of what we were seeing such as the salt fields or life in general. Nothing about the markets. Elf spent his time on two cell phones; one for watching YouTube and the other for playing games. And that's the best part of the trip. The ride was in the most uncomfortable van ever; without shocks. Airline economy seats are better! We were the last to get picked up, so naturally we got the back seat. First, the windows in the van are low and tiny. Good luck seeing anything out of them and impossible in the back seat. And then the shocks, or lack thereof. Every bump in the road made your head hit the ceiling. And oh, no leg room. NONE. And it was hot. I was going to get car sick; so I squeezed on the top of everyone to get to the front and squatted where there wasn't a seat. We asked Elf to ask everyone if we could rotate seats. He said he would try which meant, heck NO! At the two stops, we told us where and when our meeting point was and left. When he did speak, he spoke softly and was hard to hear. The markets in itself was fun. I am pleased we went. However, that van ride as the ride from hell.
Beaucoup de trajet pour peu de plaisir ; c est une attraction touristique; aujourd’hui artificielle ; divertissant
Both markets are highly recommended. It is enough to go by boat for an hour at the floating market. There are plenty of providers. It is worth a price comparison. At the railway market you should definitely wait until a train enters. This is an experience. We can recommend both markets.
