At just over 5 hours visiting the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun in the heat, that length was just right. Paula managed the tour great, giving us plenty of time to just wander around, enjoy the places, enjoy the views of the river and city. We were dropped back at our hotel and the whole thing sightseeing was a good experience!

The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.
The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.
There is no clear evidence when the Reclining Buddha Temple or Wat Pho Temple was first built but we believe that the temple has been there for over 300 years before the founding of both the capital of Thonburi and Bangkok. There you will see the most beautiful Reclining Buddha image in Thailand with 46 meters long and 15 meters high.
Wat Arun Temple or the Temple of Dawn is the landmark of Bangkok. There you will see the highest Prang tower in Bangkok with the height of 67 meters.

From start until the end, our guide Athens was very nice, explaining the history as we walked through the temples, keeping things interesting. Continually checked in to make sure we were comfortable in the heat and kept us supplied with cold water. Exploring Wat Arun felt less like a formal tour and more like walking around with a local friend who loved sharing the citys history.
Booking a private tour was the right move. By having our own guide and driver meant we could move at our own pace and pause whenever we needed a break. Nate took care of all entry tickets at the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun, so we just walked in at every stop. The attention provided made the entire experience feel personal and worth doing.
Door-to-door pickup right from our hotel lobby was so convenient. Wat Phra Kaew was absolutely stunning! Audrey took great care of us all morning and kept everything running smoothly.
The Grand Palace is huge, but Kay guided us through so easily without any stress. Every time we got back to the van, there was cold water ready for us. Highly recommend this tour!
First time visiting Bangkok and this was the best start to our trip. The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is unbelievable in real life. Kay was super fun, friendly, and so helpful all day!
My 72-year-old mother had been talking about seeing the Reclining Buddha for years. Kay was so patient, walking at my mom's slow pace and making sure she had a seat whenever needed. When we reached the Temple of Dawn, Kay pointed out how the porcelain patterns were made from real dish pieces. My mom was completely fascinated!
We had just landed in Bangkok the night before and felt quite tired. Tip picked us up with a big smile, kept the morning walk very gentle, and let us linger at the Reclining Buddha hall to catch our breath. By the time we reached the Temple of Dawn, we were fully energized and having a blast.
I was traveling alone and decided to book this private tour. Tip made me feel comfortable from the beginning. She was kind, knowledgeable, and helped take photos for me at each place. I learned more about Thai culture and did not have to worry about finding transportation by myself.
Today was a great day! My family and I woke up early for a temple tour in Bangkok. We booked the tour with Nocnoc Travel Company, and I must say that we were very impressed with everything the organization, transportation, itinerary, and especially our guide. Kay was lovely and very attentive. There were several elderly people in our family, and she took excellent care of them throughout the trip. My family and I had a wonderful experience and will definitely book with this company again the next time we visit Bangkok. Thank you again, Kay!
The Grand Palace was truly beautiful, and our guide, Annie, was fun and easy to talk to. She was very well prepared, with drinking water and transportation arranged for us. Everything was organized smoothly, and we never had to wait. The Reclining Buddha was impressive and much larger than I expected, while Wat Arun was also amazing to see in person. Overall, everything was great, and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a temple tour in Bangkok.
I had seen photos of the Grand Palace before, but being there with Peter made it easier to understand what we were looking at. He explained the palace area, the Reclining Buddha, and the Temple of Dawn in a simple way. I liked that the tour was not only about taking pictures. We also learned a little about Thai culture, temple rules, and the meaning behind some of the places. It was a good day and Peter was a very helpful guide.
We had a very enjoyable experience on this private tour to the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha Temple, and Arun Temple. Our guide, Paula, was polite, knowledgeable, and very calm, which made the day feel pleasant even though the main attractions were quite busy. She explained the important details of each place in a way that was easy to follow, especially the history of the Grand Palace and the meaning behind different parts of the temple architecture. What I appreciated most was that the tour did not feel rushed. Paula gave us time to look around, take photos, and ask questions. She also helped us understand the local customs and temple etiquette, which was useful for visitors who are not familiar with Thai culture. The transportation was also comfortable. The car was clean, the air conditioning was cold, and the driver drove smoothly between locations. After walking around in Bangkok’s heat, that made a real difference. This tour is a good option for travelers who want a private, informative, and well-paced cultural experience.
I’m not usually excited about early sightseeing, but this tour was worth it. Alex explained the Grand Palace in a very easy way, and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha was honestly more impressive than I expected. Beautiful day, good guide, no regrets.
Kay was a great guide, friendly, helpful, and funny. The Grand Palace was stunning, and Arun Temple was beautiful for photos. We learned a lot without feeling tired of information. Very happy we booked this private tour.
I booked this tour thinking it would mostly be a quick temple visit, but it ended up being much more meaningful. Poppy explained Thai culture, the Emerald Buddha, and the temple details in a very natural way. I liked that she gave us time to look around and enjoy the places. The Reclining Buddha Temple was my favorite part of the day. Beautiful, peaceful, and very memorable.
This tour was a great way to see Bangkok’s famous sights without feeling lost. Kay was cheerful and knew the best photo spots, especially around the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. She shared just enough history to help us understand what we were seeing. Hot day, beautiful temples, lots of photos, and a guide with good energy.
We had such a lovely day visiting the Grand Palace and the main temples in Bangkok. Our guide, Alex, explained everything in a simple and interesting way, so it never felt like a boring history class. The Grand Palace was beautiful, but the Temple of the Reclining Buddha was the one that really surprised me. It was much bigger than I imagined. Alex was friendly, patient, and very easy to spend the day with.
Everything was taken care of! Preecha is very knowledgeable and took really great pictures for us. Highly recommend.
Our guide, Som (Ms Orange) was AMAZING and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour! She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. She was flexible when we wanted to add stops & she’s an excellent photographer!😌 We had a great time!
It was an amazing day. Wat Arun is so beautiful. Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is so cool. And the Royal Palace and Temple are unbelievable. The buildings are so colorful and the detail is so intricate. Don’t miss green Buddha. Highly recommend the private tour. Our guide, Som, is very knowledgeable and does a great job telling the history of Thailand as we toured the sites. It was our second day with her and driver Mr One. Ask for them…they are both great. Also, be sure to get dropped at the canal for boat ride to see the Big Buddha.
Very good experience, the communication was excellent and the private car was lovely and a/c very welcome. Alexis our guide was fantastic and explained so much about each place we visited, got the best places for photos and where to stand, and took lots of photos of us.
Tip , the tour guide was excellent - I was traveling with my older parents ( in their 70's and 80's ) who had some minor mobility issues and she was excellent at coordinating their movements and making sure we got to see all the sites while also providing adequate rest for my parents. Noc, the tour operator was very prompt in her communications with me. The car/Van provided was first rate and extremely comfortable. Thank you for an excellent private tour.
This tour was outstanding. Our guide, Som, was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. She was welcoming and supportive of our wish to learn as much as possible. At every stop her explanations gave us a strong understanding of the history, reverence, and beauty of each site. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide, I highly recommend.
Ken provided a masterclass in Thai history today. His explanation of the Emerald Buddha origins was the highlight of the trip. He is a sophisticated communicator who knows how to keep his audience engaged.
A wonderful day seeing Bangkok highlights! Our guide, Annie, was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating to ensure we enjoyed our day. Highly recommended Annie
This was an amazing tour! We did a private tour with Kay. She was exceptional and so fun to be around! She explained so much history and took the greatest pictures. Highly recommend Sunny and this tour!!
May was very accommodating of my mobility issues. She made sure we took the easiest paths and found seating whenever possible. Her knowledge of the Thai kingdom and history is very deep. I learned so much in such a short period. Thank you, May, for being so considerate and kind.
Alex is a perfect tour guide for the palace and temple tour. You will get all the needed information and will learn a lot about culture, history and palace and temple specific topics. We also can recommend all the private tours organized from Nok. During our stay in Bangkok we had 4 private tours (TukTuk Food, railway and floating market, Ayutthaya and boat tour as well as palace and temple tour). All the tours are perfect organized and the tour guides knows exactly what‘s needed. Also thank you to Mr. One, our driver. @Nok - thanks a lot for the tour proposal and perfect organization.
From start to finish, Kay provided top-notch service. She was waiting in our lobby 30 minutes early. Her knowledge of the Grand Palace is deep, and she pointed out small details in the architecture we never would have noticed. It was a very hot day, but Kay’s energy stayed high throughout.
This was our first time in Bangkok and Poppy gave us the perfect introduction. The temples are so beautiful it’s hard to describe. Poppy was great at explaining the ""dos and don'ts"" of temple etiquette. We felt very comfortable and well-informed. 10/10 experience!
May is a fantastic guide. She is very bubbly and has great energy. The temples are a lot of walking, but May made it feel easy with her fun facts and stops for water. Wat Arun is truly a work of art, and May explained the symbolism of the different levels. Excellent tour!
Definitely worth the price for a private experience. Tina was very professional and her English was perfect. The detail at the Grand Palace is insane so much gold! Wat Arun across the river is so iconic.
The Grand Palace is massive, but Poppy made navigating it feel easy. She’s got a great personality very chill and easy to talk to. She also knows a lot about the palace history and the wall paintings. If you want a guide who is knowledgeable and friendly without being too formal, I’d recommend Poppy. It was a great experience!
Walking through the Grand Palace felt like being in a movie. The detail on the demons guarding the gates is insane! Thanks Bee for the 'insider' stories about the palace life. It wasn't just dates and facts; it was like hearing a cool drama from the past. I really appreciate how you kept us away from the big tour groups so we could actually hear you speak. You made a busy place feel like our own private tour. Cheers!
I don't like big tour buses. This private gig with Kay was exactly what I wanted. Just me and my girlfriend. Kay was super flexible and let us spend more time at The Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Reclining Buddha because we loved the vibe there. Totally worth it.
I am an architecture student and Poppy was able to answer all my nerdy questions about the Grand Palace designs! She is so knowledgeable. The detail at the Reclining Buddha is also stunning. Thank you for a wonderful morning.
Wear light clothes, folks! It’s roasting. But Annie had cold water ready and kept us in the shade as much as possible while we were at the Grand Palace. She’s amazing. The palace is grand indeed, but the stories Annie told made it special.
We are seniors and prefer a slower pace. Tina was very respectful and adjusted the walking speed for us through the Grand Palace. We felt very well looked after. The Reclining Buddha Temple was lovely. Thank you for a memorable day.
May didn't feel like a 'guide', she felt like a friend showing us her city. We had a few laughs at the Reclining Buddha Temple and learned about the daily life of Thai people. Wat Arun was also amazing. Go for it!
I come to Bangkok first time. Kay help me a lot. Explain everything very good. Palace is very big and beautiful. I like Wat Arun pagoda very much. Thank you Kay for good memory!
We’ve been on many tours around the world, and Poppy stands out. Her storytelling is top-notch. She navigated the ticket lines quickly and we felt like VIPs. A wonderful way to see the 'Big Three' of Bangkok.
We were very fortunate to have Katie as our guide to the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Arun. She was both informative and entertaining. We would highly recommend this tour especially with Katie!!
Tip has been a great guide for us. Cute and welcoming. We came around as agreed and got to see the sights we had wanted. Furthermore, she guided us with help to the metro skyline, and came with suggestions for what else we could do in the city. Can definitely be recommended. Thank you so much Tip for a wonderful day with you.
