Kendo is a fantastic storyteller who made the ancient history feel relevant and interesting. Walking amongst the bell-shaped stupas at Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was a very peaceful experience. The logistics were flawless, with our private driver waiting near the exits so we never had to walk far in the heat. Having the admission fees and transport completely taken care of made this an incredibly relaxing way to sightsee.

Itinerary
Wat Yai Chai Mong Khon is very famous throughout the world as it’s recognized as the World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1991 and it’s very important because it’s the location of 1 of the 8 great stupas of the country which is the highest stupa in Ayutthaya Island with the height of 62.10 meters.
Wat Phanan Choeng was built in 1324, about 26 years before the establishment of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It is one of the oldest temples in Ayutthaya and has played an important role in Thai religious history. The temple is well known for its large seated Buddha image called Luang Pho Tho, which is about 19 meters high. The statue is deeply respected by both Thai and Chinese worshippers, and among the Chinese it is called “Sam Pao Kong.” According to a legend, the temple is connected to a Chinese princess named Soi Dok Mak, who died tragically before her wedding to a Siamese king. The temple was later built on the site related to her story.
Wat Mahathat temple was built in the late 14C. This temple is very famous because the great holy relics of Lord Buddha was once enshrined in the central prang tower and it’s the location of the sand stone buddha head embedded in the tree’s root which is the highlight of Ayutthaya province.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is world class famous because it is listed as the world heritage sites recognized by the UNESCO in 1991 and it was the most important temple in the golden era of Ayutthaya kingdom as it was the royal chapel of the palace used for the religious functions of Ayutthaya Kings and it is considered as architectural prototype of the Emerald Buddha temple in Bangkok
Explore the beauty of Ayutthaya from the water with a scenic motor boat tour around the historic island. Cruise along the calm rivers that surround this ancient capital and take in panoramic views of iconic temples, charming local communities, and riverside life. It's a relaxing and memorable way to discover the rich culture and timeless atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site—all from the comfort of a motor boat.

Seriously, Tip was a wonderful guide who brought the past to life with her engaging stories. Seeing the ancient artifacts and the famous tree roots at Wat Mahathat up close was incredible. The pacing of the seven hours was perfect, with a good balance of walking and resting. Our driver was prompt and the vehicle was refreshingly cool. It was a stress-free, highly informative day that gave us a new perspective on the region.
Audrey gave us a wonderful afternoon to remember! He knew a lot about Temple and explained everything in a simple and interesting way. We felt very well taken care of from the hotel pickup until the end of the tour. Cold drinks were always available, and the private car was very clean and comfortable. It was also nice to relax in the car between each stop. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about Thai history and culture. It was a great experience!
Kay made the whole day feel relaxed and personal. She was funny, kind, and knew the best photo spots. We especially enjoyed walking through the old brick ruins and learning about how important Ayutthaya used to be. The private boat was a great way to finish the sightseeing.
Our private tour to Ayutthaya was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip to Thailand. Alex was an excellent guide, very professional, warm, and knowledgeable. She explained the history of the ancient capital in a way that was clear and interesting, without making it feel too heavy or difficult to follow. We could really understand how important Ayutthaya was in Thai history, and that made every ruin and every old brick wall feel much more special. The tour was very comfortable and well organized. We had enough time to walk around, take photos, ask questions, and simply enjoy the atmosphere. The ancient temples were impressive, especially the large Buddha statue and the beautiful old ruins that still show how grand the city once was. The private boat ride around the island was also a beautiful part of the day. It gave us a peaceful view of Ayutthaya from the water and felt like a perfect contrast to walking through the historical sites. Alex was patient, kind, and very attentive throughout the day. She helped us appreciate not only the famous sights, but also the small details we would have missed on our own. This tour felt personal, comfortable, and truly memorable. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Ayutthaya in a deeper and more enjoyable wa
This was one of the best days we had in Thailand. Alex was warm, patient, and very easy to talk to. She helped us understand what we were looking at instead of just giving us dates and names. The ruins had such a peaceful feeling, and the boat ride gave us a completely different view of the old city.
'Nate' was on time for our tour. He did a very well Job explaning us the history of Ayutthaya. We have us the option to take our time and be on our own pace in the temples and recommended Thai dishes for our lunch. He also responded questions about other topics like Muay Thai and his own experience as a monk. He also took a lot of Photos and shared them later with us. His English is very easy to understand. Mr. Ng is an excellent driver.
Our tour guide, Nate and driver, Mr. No. 1 came to our hotel at Grande Centre Point to pick us up for the Ayuthaya and boat tour at 9am. Nate gave us a brief history of the Thai culture during our one hour drive from Bangkok to Ayuthaya. We visited a few temples and went on a one hour boat ride around the Ayuthaya Island. Then, we had lunch at Raman Tha Luang Riverside Restaurant and Bar. Their grilled River prawns were great! Mr. No. 1 was very attentive and had prepared cold towels for us during the trip. Nate also got us ice water bottles during our walks around the temples. Overall, it was a really fun trip. We will definitely take more tours from Trip Advisor and NocNoc Travel.
Our guide Angie made the tour enjoyable, informative and relaxing despite the heat. We started out with the temples and she gave us information in an engaging way, without just dumping random facts about the sites we went to. We especially appreciate how she arranged the stops which put the boat tour around the time when the sun was at its hottest. The boat tour gave us a respite from the very hot sun. It was relaxing and a beautiful way to see the temples, kings palace and trees from the river. After the boat tour, she brought us to a restaurant along the river that served scrumptious seafood! Food at the restaurant not only tasted good but they looked good too. She was a jolly companion who didn’t mind having to take photos from different phones. She happily suggested photo spots and was very patient with our inquiries and requests. We enjoyed the trip and didn’t feel as tired even if it was a very hot day.
This private tour is amazing. The temples are so beautiful! Our guide was knowledgeable and great, and knew how to maneuver through the stops and sites. Be sure to ask for guide Som and driver Mr One. They are great! Highly recommend the private tour for 1:1 and pleasant day trip.
Today we had another wonderful private tour – this time to Ayutthaya – and once again it was absolutely perfect! After already spending an amazing day with Som yesterday, we were so happy to have her as our guide again. Everything worked out beautifully with our small dog, exactly as Nok had carefully planned in advance after checking with the temples. We truly appreciate how much effort was put into making this possible for us. Som shared so much knowledge about Thailand’s history, the temples, and Buddhism. It was incredibly informative and fascinating. She explained everything with such passion and clarity – we learned so much throughout the day. She also took beautiful photos of us and was so kind and loving with our dog. She even helped take care of him, which meant a lot to us. You can really feel how much she cares about her guests. Even our driver made sure we were comfortable at all times – we always had ice-cold water and even refreshing cold towels for us and our dog. Such thoughtful service! We can warmly recommend this agency and especially our tour guide Som. If you are traveling with a dog and want a relaxed, private, and perfectly organized experience, you are absolutely in the right hands here. Thank you again for such a special and unforgettable day! 🙏✨
We traveled to many places around the world, enjoyed different local cultures, history snd local food. I usually did not use the same company more than once on the same trip. Nok proved through the two tours we had that her company is all about customer service and satisfaction. Communications was clear and prompt. We had Katie today who is even more attentive than the last guide. She gave us very good tour that strikes a good balance of culture, history and food. She even bought us local treats at the end of the tour! We were lucky to have the sane driver and the van as well, who was courteous and kept the van clean and cool. Highly recommend Nok’s company.
Me and my wife loved the tour. It was very well organized and comfortable, with plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy. Our guide Katie was very nice, knowledgeable, and generous. She made sure we felt comfortable during the entire day, shared a lot of interesting facts, always made good suggestions, and took great pictures. Very recommended!
Our tour guide, Angie, is fabulous. Very knowledgeable and she has wonderful energy about her. The trip was very well organized and comfortable. The driver, Peter, was helpful to my husband who has some mobility issues. We saw a lot, had great photo ops, and great lunch and a lot of fun. We highly recommend this trip to anyone.
Nice Sunny day at Ayutthaya, Driver and van top quality, Good choice for the 4 temple, The river Cruise was relaxing, Good guide service with Paula who Knowles history
We booked our trip for 5 people with NocNoc Travel before we traveled to Bangkok. Poppy contacted me the day before our trip to Ayutthaya to assure me that she would be there. She was on time the day of the tour. She gave us the tour we were expecting with a boat ride and more! She took us to places that were undiscovered, took us to a fantastic restaurant, took us to an elephant ride, and all that was more than we paid for. The tour lasted all day and was the highlight of our trip. Poppy was the best! Make sure you ask for her when you travel.
We had a great day in Ayuthaya with Nok visiting all the key sites. She was able to customize our trip very well for our needs as we are a group of three families with three small kids, including an infant. Would recommend this trip to anyone looking to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our guide was an absolute legend—she made the ancient ruins come alive with her stories. Having a private driver and guide meant we could explore at our own pace. The included boat tour on the river was a serene highlight. Perfect day, zero stress, massively interesting.
Our private tour was top-notch. Visiting the heritage sites was fascinating, but cruising along the river afterwards was the perfect, relaxing highlight. Lunch was also really tasty (Not included). A brilliant day all round. Special thanks to our guide Patrick!
This tour was absolutely worth the trip. The private driver was great, and the boat ride was a lovely, calm way to see Ayutthaya. The temple ruins are stunning. Having Guide Jenny made the history come alive.
Well done! Courteous and well-commented throughout the tour. She picked a great lunch place and the best temples. Loved it.
A very enjoyable day tour with Nok combining history and culture presented in a relaxing manner with a nice touch of humor and excellent English language, supported with private transportation. Highly recommend.
Our trip was very well organized, Alex, our tour guide, was prepared to provide us with countless information. Thanks!
History, sunshine, and smiles that’s how I’d sum up this day. Tina made everything better with her good energy and little jokes along the way. She somehow managed to keep us laughing and learning. The ruins are breathtaking, but honestly, Tina’s vibe made it extra fun. Great mix of culture, chill, and good company.
Nice trip! Sara was very friendly and told good stories. We saw many temples and the boat ride was relaxing. The van was cool and clean. Good day out from Bangkok!
We had a really nice day in Ayutthaya. Da was our guide for the day and she made the tour really pleasant. We weren’t rushed at all, and she gave us time to wander and take photos and even stopped for a quick ice cream, super refreshing in the heat! The boat ride at the end was relaxing, and I loved just floating along the river while Da pointed out little things along the way. Very easy-going day.
We loved this tour so much! Eva was amazing, super friendly and full of good energy. She made us laugh and also told great stories about the old city. The ruins were beautiful and the boat ride was so chill. The breeze felt great after a long walk in the heat. We got cold drinks in the van. Everything was easy, fun, and well-organized. Would totally do it again!
I was lucky to have Annie as my guide on this trip to Ayutthaya. She’s so passionate and friendly! You can tell she really loves the history of this place. We walked through old temples and she told great stories about the past. The boat ride was lovely, quiet, peaceful, and full of nice views of the city. It felt like a perfect way to end the day. A beautiful day full of memories.
My friends and I had Ayutthaya tour with Tina. The city feels really calm and historic. Took some photos and then went on a relaxing boat ride along the river to see more of the old town. Tina made everything easy and relaxed. Just a nice, simple day exploring Ayutthaya.
I had this tour with my mom. We visited the temples, walked around the ruins, and went on a boat ride. Bee was friendly and made sure we didn’t have to rush. Tried some snacks along the way too. Simple and fun.
Ayutthaya’s temples have this quiet beauty that just pulls you in. Walking among the old ruins, you start to feel the weight of all that history around you. Hop on a boat and drift down the river the city slows down, everything feels peaceful. It’s an easy, relaxing way to see the temples, and honestly, it just feels right.
We had a calm and enjoyable trip, and James patiently answered all of our many questions. He was kind and attentive, especially with our children, and shared so much interesting information along the way. The boat ride added a wonderful perspective on the historic sites, making the experience even more memorable. We would highly recommend James and this tour!
Exploring the ruins of Ayutthaya with Sara was a wonderful experience! She shared plenty of interesting information that brought the ancient city to life. The boat ride added a special touch, letting us see the temples and ruins from the river a perspective we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Sara’s friendly and knowledgeable guidance made the day smooth and memorable.
Katie was our guide in Ayutthaya. It was a wonderful tour, everything was very well coordinated, she was always very attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you so much, Katie!
Annie made this trip so special. She’s kind, soft-spoken, and really knows how to read the group when to talk, when to let the quiet speak for itself. We explored ancient temples surrounded by trees and calm air, then took a slow boat ride watching the sun reflect on the water. It wasn’t just sightseeing it was a day that touched the heart.
The day was exceptionally well-organized and pleasant. Tina really excelled she was personable, approachable, and her anecdotes about the ruins genuinely enhanced the experience. The temples themselves were impressive, steeped in history and elegance. If I had to pick, the afternoon boat ride stood out as the highlight: smooth sailing along the river, a refreshing breeze, and ambient music set a relaxed atmosphere. Tina ensured every detail was handled efficiently, and by day’s end, I felt I’d gained meaningful insight into Thailand’s cultural heritage.
Our family joined the Ayutthaya private tour with Tina, and she was absolutely lovely! So kind and patient, always caring and attentive to everyone. She explained everything clearly and helped my parents walk around the temples safely. The van was comfy with cool air-conditioning and cold water just perfect for the hot day. The boat ride was our favorite part calm water, beautiful views, and a few laughs with Tina. Such a special family memory!
