About Activity
The picturesque Jim Thompson House sits in a quiet lane in central Bangkok and is the former home of James H.W. Thompson who founded the world-renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company. His traditional Thai style house contains an extensive collection of art and antique objects and is one of the city’s most renowned attractions. Since Thompson’s mysterious disappearance in the Malaysian Highlands in 1967, little has changed in this property which was once one of the city's most celebrated social centres for a sophisticated party crowd. Today, this traditional Thai style home is a splendid place to view an extensive collection of South-East Asian art and antique objects.
