Kris was an awesome tour guide, kind and thoughtful. He and the driver took care of us throughout the entire experience. The Railway Market and The Floating Market are both extremely crowded tourist experiences. Vendors selling Thai souvenirs and seafood line either side of the railway, with people walking literally on the tracks because there’s no room otherwise. Vendors quickly pull in their wares as the train slowly rolls through the market mere cms away from your face! The floating market was an assault to the senses, as the canals are super crowded with boats filled with tourists, stopping at various stalls along the canal selling more Thai souvenirs. Fair warning: the air is quite polluted with the smell of exhaust, as most of the canal boats are gas-powered. All in all, a very unique and recommended experience, especially if you’re with an excellent guide like Kris!

Kim gave us an excellent half day experience at the train and floating markets. She was able to answer all of our questions and provided an interesting history to the area and it's people. She also helped us to try out some of the amazing food we weren't sure about during our trip so far. Highly recommend!

From start to finish we had the perfect tour guide. Peter was personable, friendly, and courteous from his introduction. He was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. He educated us on history and culture but he also noticed when we were tired from the heat and less talkative. He allowed us quiet time to reset and that was appreciated tremendously. He was even prepared to handle an unexpected and unique mishap. We really enjoyed the floating market tour. We scored some awesome items at great prices. The lunch we had was delicious. Extremely flavorful, truly one of the highlights of the entire trip. (We’re foodies). The railway was a fun experience. We were also able to get souvenirs there. Peter secured a great spot for us to see the train and while we waited, we had the best smoothies we’d ever had in our lives. Peter and our driver made sure to keep us cool, comfortable, and hydrated. Peter was also handy with the camera and captured some really great moments. I plan to return to Phuket and I’m definitely booking Peter again if he’s available. He saw to it that we had a truly remarkable experience.

The trip was wonderful and our guide Kim was very knowledgeable and clearly loved explaining how life is as a local and took us to the local market near the railway which was the highlight of the trip. Our driver Mr Vishan was perfect and looked after us. A very safe and well planned trip and good value for a private tailored trip.

Kim (tour guide) and Guy (driver) were so wonderful!! Kim was truly one of the best tour guides we’ve had this entire trip. She was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and gave some awesome tips on food to eat and unique pieces of Thailand culture. Our driver was super polite, drove very safely, and always had the car stocked with drinks. He even opened the door for me every time we stopped somewhere. We personally loved the floating markets but the railway market is super crowded and touristy so be aware.

The was a perfect day. Net was a great guide. He bought us dried mango in the market and smoothies while waiting for the train. Net found us the perfect spot for viewing the train. The floating market and boat ride were amazing.

Perfect way to spent our last day in Bangkok! We had a blast touring the railway and floating markets. Our tour guide Neng was excellent, he gave us a great experience and knew how to hit the highlights with avoiding the crowds were possible. We loved sampling the local foods and seeing local produce and handmade products. Van was really comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommend.

The tour was amazing with Pond. Pond was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Pond made us feel welcome and allowed us to experience the most we could. The driver Bang Wee was awesome as well. We felt safe the entire ride and he was very polite. He even allowed us to snap pictures along the way.

Meaw and V were absolutely incredible! My husband and I came from Canada for our first trip to Thailand. Meaw taught us so much about Thai culture, food, and the language. She was super friendly and her English is impeccable. V was incredibly hospitable and was so kind ~ making sure that we had cold water bottles and a cold cloth after we visited the market. The car was very clean and the air conditioning was so appreciated. The markets were truly a once in a lifetime experience and we were so grateful to have Meaw and V to show us everything and drive us to each. I could not recommend this tour enough and we will definitely be letting all of our friends and family who come Thailand know that they should definitely book this tour with them. We had a great tour with our guide Nok. As we were with 7 and 5-year old kids, it was not an easy group for a guide. However, Nok was extremely patient and helpful. We all had a blast. Thank you so much, Nok!

Our guide Khun Nok was fantastic from start to finish. Pick up from hotel on time, she offered great information on local history on route to the Maeklong Market. Arrived in plenty of time to view the market and its sights and especially smells! Watching the train come through the market was a unique experience. After that we set off for the floating market, this tour was part long tail boat and part walking with stops for photographs, snacks and coffee and plenty of time to see the amazing way the boats navigate the waterways. After the tour was finished our guide was more than happy to drop us off at Lumpkini park so we could see the water monitor lizards. All in all taking this private tour was perfect for us and we have no hesitation in giving Khun Nok and Mr Wee our driver 5 stars for an excellent tour, thank you.

This was such an amazing tour! My tour guy Time was also amazing. He was full of information and knowledge about the culture and Thai history. I was able to learn so much about the culture, and he answered all of my questions. He was an absolute delight, and I enjoyed spending the day with him. I am so glad I picked his tour. It was so much fun and exactly what I was looking for. V was also a fantastic driver and so hospitable and always had cold water waiting. Thank you to both for such a lovely day!

Nok was an excellent guide and made the day very enjoyable and not the least bit stressful (which Bangkok can be) She knew all the hacks to beat the crowds and where to stand etc. It was busier than usual apparently but we didn’t feel rushed or anything. We also tried a bunch of food that we would have not if we traveled independently. Nok was great at giving us snippets of information as we traveled. It was an informative and fun trip for the whole family and well worth the money.

Our tour guide, Gwen, and driver, Mr. Wichien, were wonderful! The railroad was amazing. We decided to change a few things and the tour transitioned smoothly. We ate a traditional dessert, did a little shopping, fed horses, and so much more.

We tried a local desert, did a little shopping, fed some horses, and even received lovely gifts from our guide, Gewn. Our driver, Mr. Wichien, was really solicitous and attentive.

Our guide, Lek, was very knowledgeable and patient. She taught us a lot about Thailand's history, culture and heritage. We enjoyed her company. We got to try various food. Even though it was a long journey to our destination (1h 45min), it was a comfortable ride thanks to our driver, Bong. We got to see a Muay Thai temple, a train pass by us, sit in the boat and see the sunset. We even got to feed some horses! Our guide took many pictures of us. When we got to the car our guide even had cold water and cold wet towels prepared for us. It was a very comfortable experience and we enjoyed ourselves.

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Gwen and driver Vee! Gwen spoke excellent English which made communication very easy. They picked us up right on time and gave us a run-down of the itinerary and timing. We also stopped at a salt lake on the way to our first destination, even though it wasn’t officially part of our tour. Gwen was super knowledgeable about Thai history and shared lots of information on the bridges, roads, political history, cultural influences, etc. which kept us entertained on our drive to our destinations. At each stop, we were given a prep, tips in bargaining and best photo spots. After each stop, they provided us with ice cold water and cold wet wipes, and the car had AC on full-blast which was immensely key in the sweltering weather. Gwen went above and beyond to provide a special experience for us and we cannot recommend her enough! Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful time!

GWEN AND NU…..thank you! We were picked up from our hotel at 7am. The entire experience was so informative, so enjoyable, so amazing!! Gwen knew all our names and chatted easily to us. We loved the experience of the railway market. Gwen taught us the art of bargaining to get fair prices for all parties. It was fascinating watching the market transform to allow the train through. Gwen took great photos of us with the train! The floating markets were our favourite! Best experience. We made our way along the very busy waterway and bought some special trinkets along the way. Gwen treated us to an array of delicious tasters…noodles, dried fruits, coconut ice cream and kanombueng (rice flour and egg white with sugar). We were spoilt throughout the entire tour and felt very looked after. We loved hearing the history of both markets and interesting facts about Bangkok. My drive us safely to everywhere we needed to go. We were also spoilt with cold face towels and bottled water. Thank you again, we loved the experience!

What an amazing day! The market at the railroad was so cool. We got to shop prior to the train arriving. Seeing all the work the vendors must do each train passing is impressive! Gwen our guide and Wichian our driver, were amazing! We had such a great time. We, then, went to the floating markets. We had a blast going around the markets and getting to do a little shopping while in the boat. Had some of the best noodles EVER! And then a very traditional tea iced tea! Sooooo yummy! We had a great time and many thanks to Gwen and Wichian. Highly recommended!

Nok and pong were great guides, a wonderful experience at the train and river markets. Such kind humans, and very very knowledgeable about far more than the tour encompassed. Great way to spend a day seeing outside Bangkok. So if you're visiting the city, definitely book this tour and request Nok and Pong!

Me and my husband had a guided tour with Lek. She is a very knowledgeable tour guide who speaks fluent English with a relaxed vibe which we loved. It was really incredible to see the disappearing railway market and a fun experience on the floating market. The pick up car was very clean, comfortable and cool with AC. The travel time to get to the markets was quite long but was made enjoyable by being broken up with boat and train rides. We’d highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Bangkok!

Our tour guide, Nok and driver, Kumnuan (Mark) took us on our private tour of the Maeklong Railway and Floating Markets, and it was excellent! Nok was knowledgeable, funny, patient and super generous. She set out the day and it felt like everything went to plan. She showed us how to pray like a traditional Thai Buddhist, treated us to delicious snacks and even took time to help us seek the right souvenir. She told us that she was great at taking photos, and so she took plenty of great snaps of my wife and me at each of the destinations, even amongst the chaos and crowds at each venue. Highly recommend Nok as a tour guide, and Mark as a reliable and safe driver (with, I suspect, his own sense of humour too!)

Our guide Nok / Natalie, was THE best!!! Not only was she knowledgeable and often shared useful tidbits about the places we visited, but she also made sure to we got some good photos of our experience along the way. As a Thai-American, I also appreciated learning more about my family’s ancestral home, traditions and culture. Little details like why things are done a certain way, etc. She gave us the time to enjoy everything, never rushing us, and introducing us to new foods and things along the way. Very quickly she didn’t feel like a tour guide, but more of a really good friend who’s showing you around her neighborhood.

Nok Natalie gave us an awesome tour today to the Maeklong Railway and the Amphawa floating markets...which really exceeded our expectations! We had several refreshments and snacks as we waited for the train to arrive and then the excitement of watching the train was so much fun. Nok was very patient and friendly, taking excellent photos of our group and the fun we had with the train, stopping at a beautiful Wat, and then exploring the markets later that afternoon. I think our private evening boat ride watching the sun go down and enjoying fireflies coming out was our favorite part. Of course a very filling and delicious dinner topped off the evening. We highly recommend Nok Natalie for her very friendly personality, helpfulness and genuine desire to make our tour fun and memorable. You will enjoy her knowledge and experience!

Scott was an amazing tour guide for the day - highly recommend this your. Was about 60/90 minute drive each way from Bangkok. He had a “budget” to buy us many different foods, drinks, and souvenir even. At the temple, just need a shawl to cover your knees for women. No need to wear pants all day. Also good tip: bring travel toilet paper for the bathrooms!
