Private Excursion To Ayutthaya, Unesco World Heritage Site With Boat Tour

This was a phenomenal trip, not just because of the locations, but our guide Paul made the trip for us. The photos on the site do not do these locations or your experience justice. The rich history and fantastic storytelling and overall happy/fun demeanor of our guide made the whole trip come to life. Transportation was top of the line and Mr. Kai (our driver) had all you would want - cold water, multiple cold towels to cool off, and overall awesome bus/van (think decked out super luxury van/bus). Highly recommend getting outside of Bangkok to see these ancient temples with guide Paul and driver Mr. Kai!

Our guide Nok was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting history. She and our driver were very attentive and did everything to make our tour a great experience.

It was such a relief to be picked up and dropped off directly at my hotel, which would have been an hour train ride into the heart of Bangkok if I did a group tour. My driver and guide kept me hydrated with cold water and cold wet wipes (to cool me down, felt great on my neck), and they went at my pace. Lunch was very good!

We had a great day at Ayutthaya with Patrick. He took us to four temples, and explained the historical significance of each site very well. He also set us up at some very nice places to take pictures. Lots of unexpected bonuses including a great lunch restaurant and a quick fortune telling experience. The boat ride was also private, which we didn't expect. Patrick kept up a good pace throughout the tour, and though we moved along quickly, we never felt rushed. Our driver Mark worked well with Patrick, and we made excellent time getting from place to place. They provided lots of cold water which is very important in the heat! This tour was a great complement to our visits to the active newer temples in Bangkok. We would definitely use this agency and guide again! Thanks so much for a very enjoyable day.

Our guide was absolutely exceptional. From the very beginning, her communication was excellent. She reached out to us via WhatsApp before the tour to explain what to expect, including the dress code requirements for visiting the temples. I really appreciated having that information in advance because it allowed us to come fully prepared. She was also extremely punctual and picked us up from our hotel exactly on time. Throughout the tour, she was warm, welcoming, conversational, and made my friend and me feel completely comfortable. What impressed me most was her incredible knowledge of Thailand’s history and culture. She did much more than simply show us the sights—she provided the historical and cultural context that gave each place so much more meaning. She truly helped us understand the depth and richness of Thailand’s history in a way that we never would have been able to appreciate on our own. I honestly cannot imagine visiting these places without having her as our guide. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating throughout the entire experience. Because of the heat, she consistently made sure that my friend and I stayed hydrated and comfortable, which we greatly appreciated. I am so grateful that we had her as our tour guide. She made this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Thailand, and I would highly recommend her to anyone visiting the country. This tour was truly exceptional. If I could give it 10 stars, I absolutely would!

Thai Quality Guide is The Best Guided tour with an entertaining Guide and his knowledge on the subject was on point, the bus service and the driver everything is well planned and they finish the tour on time and give you enough time to explore each places and breather for food and coffee. Quality Thai Guide Was one of the best tours i have opted for. Right from the meet and greet it has been a pleasant experience. The vehicle was extremely comfortable, tour gude was extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic while sharing information. Took some amazing pictures made us try local dessert. The boat ride was the highlight of the tour. Very personalised and well managed.

They were always so considerate, humble and cooperative all the while, during the trip and shopping. The vehicle used was very comfortable and clean for the me and my friends. He is a wealth of knowledge, made sure we were comfortable and taken care of at all times, and was also genuinely interested in learning about us as well. Picked us up at the hotel, great communication. We also had a driver, so Paul was free to chat with us. The temple ruins were beautiful, we visited several of the sites, and we took a boat ride around the area. Paul was a GREAT photographer and he knew ALL the spots to get great shots. He even took pics when we weren’t paying attention and sent them to us. That’s always really nice. If (when) we go back to Bangkok we will definitely be hiring him for another tour — he does several including the floating markets which we never made it to this time. (Only in Bangkok for three days.) 8am to 4pm. Total of 8 hours. He took care of all entrance fees.

This one is a must do trip if you are traveling to Bangkok. It was very informative and comfortable trip with our family. Mr Army was an excellent English speaking tour guide. He kept us very informed and comfortable throughout the trip and made excellent recommendations for local souvenir shops. He is very knowledgeable about local culture and history. I would highly recommend using in future tour.

We booked this tour hopeing to learn more about the Thai history and culture, not only did we learn alot but our Tour guide Ms Nok was incridible teaching us many things about the Culture and showing us alot of great places. This has been our favorite tour so far in Thailand and the boat ride at the end is very lovely. We highly recommend this tour for anyone curious about Thai history and culture, ms Nok is amazing very fun and her english was amazing which helped us alot to understand what we were seeing. We had an amazing day out with our guide, Army, and our driver, Mark. Army's knowledge of Thai history is extensive. He was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a good understanding of Thai culture and Buddhism. We appreciated the variety of temples that we were taken to. And we loved the boat trip! We had the right amount of time at each place. It didn't feel rushed. We were grateful for Mark's air-conditioned car and the bottles of water and refreshing towelettes provided to us after each stop. If you're thinking of going to Ayuttaya, don't do it alone. We absolutely loved our private tour to Ayutthaya and cannot recommend it enough. The itinerary was perfectly planned, but what truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Bakery, and our driver. From the very beginning, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a friend—an incredibly knowledgeable and resourceful one at that. The journey itself was smooth and comfortable, with our driver going above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of throughout the day. A great day in Ayutthaya although a bit on the warm side. The guide was excellent and, as a former monk, able to explain the symbolic elements of the various Wats and other historic site and their relationship to Buddhism.

We had an excellent time. Our guide Peter and driver picked us up promptly at 7am at our hotel. It was about 1h 15 to get to our first stop. Peter was a wealth of information and was so kind. His passion for sharing his country’s history was just fantastic. We really enjoyed the temple visits, the boat cruise around the historic city and the optional lunch was delicious. I’d do this tour again in a heartbeat or recommend it to anyone.

The historic temples at Ayutthaya are wonderful to see. The boat trip included in the tour was enjoyable and offered a different view of the former capital. We had a great tour guide in Mr Bakery who looked after us all day and us to a great local restaurant for lunch. It was a very enjoyable day trip.

We enjoyed a great experience with Army as our guide and Mark as our driver. The car was immaculate, driving was very comfortable and safe. Army was so knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and answered all our questions. He did special things like give us a coin to make a wish and bread to feed the fish during the boat ride. He also took great photos for us. The restaurant they took us to for lunch was fantastic. We chose the 7am departure and it was great to beat some of the heat and traffic. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Peter our guide was wonderful. He made us feel very comfortable and took care of us.

I had the private tour with Mr Yor. Reservation was easy. Yor contacted me right after I made the reservation the day before and planned for the next day. He was right on time and picked me up from my hotel. Yor seemed to be very knowledgeable about the history and explained the details very well. Walked me thru the ruins and temples and provided color to the fascinating sites. Boat tour was awesome. Lunch and the restaurant choice were great. Enjoyed the tour immensely. Highly recommend the tour and in particular Mr Yor as the tour guide.

We had the best time with Bakery! They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, and even took us to try amazing local food. Such a great experience!

Our guide Yor was wonderful! Yor was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. He reached out via Whatsapp the day before the tour to confirm our pickup and sent a photo of himself upon arrival at our hotel so we could recognize him. He was patient about our silly questions and all the photos I wanted to take. He took several photos for us, all of which came out looking great (and he offered to take even more). Yor translated the menu for us at lunch and helped us order our food and accommodate my dietary restrictions. He answered our questions about the sights on the tour, as well as our general questions about life in Thailand and the Thai language. We had a wonderful day with Yor as our guide.

What an amazing experience with Johnny (guide) and Manny (driver)!!! I've taken many private tours in various countries and there are the little things that set apart the best ones. Calling the hotel the day before to remind us of the pickup time and location was one of those things. Manny always having cold water for us each time we got in the car was another. Driving to the closet possible entrance to avoid the heat, making an extra stop by the pharmacy, making suggestions at the market, and helping us learn some words in Thai were some of the extras that weren't expected and were very much appreciated. Johnny has a contagiously positive energy that makes you smile as he shares his vast knowledge of the temples we visited. I give the tour an 11 out of 10 and highly recommend it!!

We had a good day visiting the historic city of Ayuthaya. Kim our personal guide was so informative about the history of kingdom and also the Buddhist faith. She was so friendly and spoke brilliant English. It was interesting to hear about how the city ended in ruins. We were taken on Belle’s long boat river cruise around the island, seeing different river side communities. Lunch was a fabulous and more knowledge of noddle dishes. The afternoon was a visit to the ruined Royal palace. The site is very exposed, so remember your sun block. Umbrellas are available which do help and bottled water is provided throughout the trip. We did several personal guided trips while in Thailand and they were brilliant, reasonable priced and worth the extra money.

Johnny was a fun guide, a real character. He was full on detailed history and knowledge, including specific historical dates. We came away full of great pictures (Jonny knew exactly where to get the best pictures) and learned a great deal about Buddhism and the life of monks. He was a very thoughtful and caring guide.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and taught us so much. She also was so friendly and made sure we enjoyed our day and allowed us to be very flexible. Her lunch recommendation was the best.

Our Guide "Time" and our driver "Gai" were excellent and very accommodating during this great tour. The explanations of the sites and the answers to our questions were detailed. The food was great!

We had a great day out visiting the ancient temples of Ayutthaya. Our guide, with a cool nickname of Bakery, made sure the itinerary was smooth like clockwork.
