We did a shore excursions of Bangkok and Pattaya with Ms. Pu while in Thailand. It was perfect! We spent the day in Bangkok visiting the Royal Palace, Wat Pho, canal tour and more. She showed us the highlights, provided valuable information and made the tour so enjoyable. The next day we went to Pattaya. We had a limited amount ot time due to ship schedule and Ms Pu made every moment count - we saw the botanical gardens, cultural and elephant show and Sanctuary of Truth. She even made it possible for us to spend time with the elephants - which we loved! She was amazing! Clean, comfortable transportation, water and cooling towels were provided. Definitely a highlight of our Asia trip!! Thank you Ms Pu - we loved having you for a guide!!!

We toured Bangkok with Thai Tour Guide on March 5 from the port of Laem Chabang while sailing on the Celebrity Solstice. From the arranging of the tour (in August 2025, communication with Mr. CHOB) to the details of our actual tour- everything was EXCELLENT. I would give 10 stars if I could. As arranged, our guide Ms.Joy and driver Mr. Tony were waiting punctually at the cruise terminal in an air conditioned comfortable van. We received cold water bottles throughout the day, a small gift from them, as well as homemade pastries. Cold towels were promised (and delivered) for later in the day, as it grew hotter. The approx 2-hour drive to Bangkok was safe, and we also were given a halfway-through bathroom break. Much info was shared during the drive and Ms. Joy was so warm, kind and smart with the info she shared. She brought us to many sites throughout the day (Grand Palace, Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, a private long tail boat ride, and Reclining Buddha). Ms. Joy and Mr. Tony always cared for our safety, comfort, and fun- Ms. Joy was eager to take photos of us in just the right spots and she gave us a lot of wonderful information about Bangkok and all that we were seeing. It was a delightful day! She even shared some of her personal snacks on the 2.5 hour drive back to the cruise port. Highly recommend Thai Tour Guide as a company- would definitely tour with them again.
The tour to Bangkok to the Palace, temples, and river cruise was very good. I was worried about time, but we got back to the ship in plenty of time. Our guide took very good care of us.
We came to Bangkok via cruiseship so we only had 1 day for the highlights. As this is not much time we decided to book a private tour so we could move at our pace. Mr George as well as the driver were punctual. The car was clean and a cold bottle of water was waiting! Mr George provided background information on the 2 hour drive in as well as details on the day‘s itinerary. Just prior to arriving in the city we stopped for a restroom break. Mr George even thought to provide toilet paper! Our first stop was the flower market. We walked through parts of it with Mr George stopping to point out particular flowers or to point out their fragrances. In we went to a long-tail boat ride. Unfortunately there was insufficient time to travel to the floating markets. Next stop Grand Palace. Along the way another restroom stop along with the opportunity to fill our water bottles- much needed on this March day with plenty of sunshine, high humidity and temperatures around 37 Celsius.Throughout the tour Mr George was very conscious of stopping for explanations in areas where there was shade or a fan was blowing. A lot of little things make the difference such as pointing out or even taking pictures in the ideal spots or carrying our shoes through the temple with the reclining Buddha so we would have our hands free to take photos ourselves. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the tour and our day. Given the weather conditions further stops would have been too much! We also stopped for typical Thai food recommended by Mr George in an airconditioned restaurant. Mr. Georg took care of all entrance fees as well as the lunch charges as part of the excursion fee. As such, we could entirely concentrate on the sites.

Absolutely spectacular day with a very engaging and intelligent guide, Alex, and safe and attentive driver, Mr. Happy. We could not be happier with the day. We saw a tremendous amount of Bangkok on a shore excursion. The car was new and well air conditioned. We saw everything planned, plus added several more things along the way. Alex spoke perfect English, and taught us so much about what we were seeing and about Thailand. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see and learn as much as possible in a short amount of time.
This was a private day tour to Bangkok from our cruise ship in Laem Chabang. Great company & tour. Received immediate communication on what to expect and name of the guide. Guide, Mr. George, was great. So was the driver. Very professional and friendly. Everything went very smoothly and we couldn’t ask for better. Saw as much as we could in one long day. They know what they’re doing. Highly recommend.
Mr. Chob and our guide, George, were outstanding in their communications with us both during the booking process and the lead up to the excursion. We stayed overnight in Bangkok and used the hotel suggested by Mr. Chob - Chatrium Riverside - it was exemplary and I heartily recommend their breakfast buffet. George and our driver, Tony, were on time for both our port and hotel pickups. The itinerary was very enjoyable and George provided excellent context throughout. Our favorite stops were on our second day at the Railway and Floating Markets. Perhaps the only part of the itinerary we did not enjoy much was the cruise along the river in Bangkok; the scenery was only of mild interest and it went on for what seemed like a long time. The rest of the itinerary was great and we are very happy that we chose to stay overnight in Bangkok and use Mr. Chob for our touring arrangements there.
We only had two ne day - so the goal was to have the experience maxed out . That was truly a super professional experience . Perfect car and driver and ms. Alice was the best !
From the onset we had great communication with the tour guide and operator. The private van for my family was luxurious, a real plus for the long drive times from the port to Bangkok and Ayutthaya. Our guide Joy was a joy. She was knowledgeable, passionate for her country and caring for our individual needs. We squeezed in all the great highlights of the area in the short time we were in port. I’m glad there wasn’t a test after the tour because with all the information given about the temples and the various King Ramas, I would have failed. The highlight of the tour were the two boat rides and seeing some of the local wildlife.
George was fabulous!! It was a wonderful day. It was informative from to end. Would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn more about Bangkok.
Tai did a great job showing us the highlights of Bangkok. It was very hot when we toured and she guided us to the shade whenever possible. She took us to a great non touristy restaurant for lunch which was packed with local people. All in all it was a great day
Laem Chabang was an overnight cruise stop on our recent SE Asia cruise, but the main attraction (Bangkok) is about 2 hours away. To make best use of our time ashore, I contacted Thai Tour Guide since I’d recently read a really good review on them from a fellow cruiser. Mr Chob was quick to respond and outlined a 2 day itinerary that I could customize if I wanted to. No upfront deposit required - payment due in TBT after the excursion. Just prior to leaving for the cruise, both Mr Chob and our assigned guide - Ms Joy, reached out to confirm our arrangements. We had no problems connecting with Ms Joy on our first day as she was front and center among the crowd of tour guides and drivers that greeted the ship passengers at Laem Chabang terminal with my name on a sign. What a relief not to have to hunt for her as we’ve had to do for our guides at other ports. Ms Joy was truly a joy to be with on our 2 days in Bangkok. While day 1 was wonderful, day 2 at the railway market and the floating market were the highlights. Ms Joy was able to add a ride on the actual train and we rode it for about 5 stops before getting off at the railway market. That was truly a treat as we got to experience the market/train from both onboard the train and from the railway tracks in the market. Ms Joy is also a wonderful photographer and took many beautiful pictures for us. Although I have some physical limitations, with her kindness and perception, Ms Joy was able to tailor the 2 day tours to perfectly suit my abilities and encouraged me to experience everything. The driver was also really good and always found a way to drop off and picked us up at each site with minimum walking for me. We have used private guides/drivers all over the world for years - I can honestly say Ms Joy is one of the very best. Thank you, Mr Chob (Thai Tour Guide) for assigning her to us!
Our guide was Ms. Aom, aka Mary Poppins! She carried this little purse that contained way more than it appeared to be able to hold! If we needed it, it appeared from her purse! Napkins, new tube of menthol to help with the oppressive heat... you name it and it appeared from that purse of hers. She loves the history and enjoyed talking with my husband about what we were seeing and she got so excited when he made the links between Thailand history and what we had seen earlier in India. Always smiling and pointing out perfect photo locations. My husband needed to rest occasionally and she was expert at finding a spot in the shade for a minute or two of rest. So responsive to our needs. The driver was always right on time to pick us up with cold water and cold cloths. It was a perfect day despite of the heat. I highly recommend this company. Very professional all the way!
was a great guide, very knowledgeable We had an amazing tour with Mr. George! His deep knowledge of history and local stories brought the city to life. He was friendly, patient, and even gave us great restaurant recommendations. The pacing was perfect, and he answered all our questions with enthusiasm. I highly recommend Mr. George for anyone looking for an insightful and fun tour experience!"
Our guide Pu was excellent. She arrived early at the port and reminded us when we all came out in shorts that we needed trousers for the Grand Palace! The drive in is 2 hours in a car but longer if you do this tour as a group on a coach so well worth paying the extra for a private tour. The Grand Palace was absolutely incredible and the canal longboat tour very enjoyable. I would recommend Mr CHOB and his team. They responded quickly to emails, sent clear instructions regarding where to meet and payment and at all times were efficient and professional.
If you're stopping in Thailand on a cruise, I can't recommend this Bangkok tour with Mr. Chob enough. It's the perfect and efficient way to experience Bangkok. I chose the one-day tour as we planned on going to Pattaya on our own. Our guide, Ms. Pu, was waiting for us at the port entrance and welcomed us with the fruits from her parents' garden and cold water. Pu was friendly and knowledgeable, always making sure we were comfortable and having a good time. From start to finish, everything was well-planned and enjoyable. The tour was well-paced, with enough time to see everything without feeling rushed. You can't go wrong with this company! Hightly recommend!
We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 7-11. We spent 2 days in Bangkok and a tour of Ayutthaya with Mr. George as our tour guide. It was an amazing 2 days, and Mr. George was an outstanding guide! He was knowledgeable, fun, accommodating with the schedule to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see, and overall just a great guide. We did SO much, but it never seemed stressful even amongst the traffic and crowds. He was so organized it all just flowed seamlessly from one thing to the next. And he was great with the kids, even getting them little local gifts and snacks each day. I highly recommend Mr. George! If you have the opportunity to book a tour with him, don’t hesitate to do so! If we are lucky enough to go back we will definitely book tours with him again.
Our cruise had an overnight stop in Bangkok (Laem Chabang Port) and we spent our two days guided by Mr. George. Our first day was the "The Royal Grand Palace + The Royal Temple + City + Temple" tour. The second day was the "UNESCO Ayutthaya" tour. Our initial inquiry to Mr Chob at Thai Tour Guide was answered promptly and booking was easy to complete. Prior to our tour we were introduced to Mr. George and provided contact info. Mr George and his driver met us at the port, and returned us two days later, we were in their excellent care to see the sights of Bangkok and Ayutthaya. We saw the sights described on the website, but Mr. George rearranged the order based on crowds and the drivers recommendations of traffic conditions. Lunch was extra and Mr George gave a range of options, International corporate to where he would eat. We went local and had Mr George order a variety of traditional dishes. The days were fully packed with amazing sights and we never felt rushed. Overnight hotel was on our own and Mr George and his driver gave us door to door service. Overall a great way for us to experience Thailand for the first time.
Mr. George was waiting for us as we left the terminal. We had a great day exploring the city. At the palace he knew all the hidden spots to get the best shots!
We learned and enjoyed the Thai culture, history, and taste thru Alex, who was in charge we feel this trip as local people. Recommended a 100%. Thanks for everything Alex!
We had a fantastic day tour for 5 adults (extended family group) of Bangkok with Ms Aom from Thai Tour Group. Pick up from the port of Laem Chabang (2-3hrs drive away) meant it was an early start, and we also extended the tour to take in a little more of the city and avoid the worst of the notorious Thai traffic returning to the port and our ship around 8.30pm. The tour provided a great overview of the city visiting the Royal Grand Palace & Royal Temple, Reclining Buddha plus taking a private long-tail boat canal tour to the floating market sampling some delicious street food, visiting the Flower & vegetable markets and finally doing some shopping at a huge 6 story local shopping mall where we founds some great bargains. It was a super hot and humid day, so having the air conditioned van with cold water and refresher towels picking us up was a godsend. Ms Aom was a lovely guide and very flexible and we would highly recommend a tour with her!
Great guide Ms Mee and driver. Super nice a/c van for long drive from port. Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Ms. Aom was an amazing tour guide for our full day tour in Bangkok. We went on a canal tour where we saw the large bronze Buddha, Thai lunch at a local restaurant she recommended, a tour of the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, Reclining Buddha temple and also visits to the silk and flower markets! Ms. Aom taught us the history of Thailand and explained much about Buddhism, the Kings of Thailand and the culture of the area. The excursion to the silk market was an additional stop, as I wanted to purchase some silk fabric and she was very helpful and accommodating. She was very entertaining and friendly and we learned a lot about the Thai people. We would highly recommend her for a tour in Bangkok.
Met Ms. Mee, our guide, at the Laem Chabang port dock. Following our long drive into Bangkok, we went immediately to the Grand Palace. It was extremely hot, but the Palace was a beautiful site to visit. My wife does not handle heat well, but Ms. Mee took excellent care of her. She also provided wonderful information pertaining to the Grand Palace. We then visited the "Reclining Buddha". Following this we had a wonderful lunch followed by the canal tour. This gave us an opportunity to witness life spent on the canals of Bangkok. As it was a long ride back to our cruise ship, we decided to head back to Laem Chabang. A delightful day in a beautiful city!!!! We also appreciate Ms. Mee and her driver for making the day special. My only complaint was the blistering hot temperatures. This, however, did not diminish the day of our visit.
We booked a day and a half of tours through Thai Tour Guide and I was very pleased. We were picked up at our ship in Laem Chabang Port and driven to Ayutthaya for a full day of touring. Then we were dropped off at our hotel in Bangkok around 6pm and picked up the next day at 8am to do a canal boat tour of Bangkok. Our guide was Ms. Pookie, and she was great. She was very informative and she really looked after us. When we went to our hotel for the night, she came in with us to make sure we got checked in ok. And when she dropped us off at our hotel the next morning she stayed with us until our taxi back to the ship arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to use Thai Tour Guide again.
Not only was this an extremely easy and relaxed way to see Bangkok, I think it allowed us to fit 2 days of sightseeing into one day because we didn't have to find our way around, wait in lines, etc. And having an air conditioned vehicle to come back to after each visit was wonderful in the hot humid climate of Bangkok. Even though traffic was worse than expected and caused delays, neither our guide or driver tried to hurry through the sites to make up the lost time. They worked extra time to make sure our visit was great.
I cannot say enough good things about this tour of Bangkok, all thanks to our amazing tour guide, Ms. Mee! If you are lucky enough to have her as your guide, you will see this great city through her eyes. Every place we visited was magical.
We had a 2 day cruise call at Laem Chabang and arranged a tour with an overnight stay in Bangkok. Unfortunately my wife didn't feel well so I ended up going myself with Ms. Joy as my guide. I visited Bangkok 25 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed renewing my acquaintance with such beautiful sights as the Grand Palace and Temples, and taking in new sights such as the Floating Market, the canals and the Train Market. Ms. Joy patiently guided me through each site and also related to me about how Thai people live, the best place to buy some small souvenirs, and introduced me to some favorite street snacks. I had a great time not only on the tour, but based on one of Ms. Joy's recommendation also getting on the Sky Train and catching the boat to Asiatique for the evening. The tour was a great way to maximize the time I had in port. The only downside was the 3 plus hour drive on the second day to get back to Laem Chabang - but that's Bangkok traffic.
Great day trip to Bangkok with Joy. Lots of sights, lots of explanations, Royal Palace, Buddhas, boat trip. Delicious eaten, flowers tied, highly recommended and always back.
George and our driver were great. Highly recommended. We had a great day and ate really well. Thank you so much!
