I chose to go in the afternoon. I was the only person at that time slot. The place is amazing and the instructor was fabulous. I would go back again to learn other dishes

Reviews
excellent cooking class learned a lot about Thai cooking Thai products being a vegetarian. We were a little bit skeptical but the shift did a great job. We made everything fresh from start to finish and would highly highly recommend for anybody who is in Bangkok and has some time we did a 6 to 9 class and it was perfect timing with dinner and everything must must do.
One of our favourite experiences in Thailand, the hosts were so lovely and informative. We loved getting to walk to the market first to learn about the ingredients and immerse ourselves in the culture through food. The food itself was AMAZING and the option for vegan alternatives was super appreciated, we were even taught which sauces could be swapped to make the dishes vegan. Full meal cooked by ourselves and so delicious would love to come again to learn some other dishes. Thank you Pimmy and team ☺️
Very good! Very fun! She gave us great explanation. The food is very good! Good for atmosphere and chill vibe
Kru Mee welcomed us in the morning, beginning with a tour of the local food market. She is a great chef and a teacher with warm, friendly approach. Besides, she speaks English well. We had wonderful hands-on experience, preparing tasty traditional Thai dishes, under her supervision. We would definitely recommend this activity to everyone interested.
We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with chef Pimmy. We got a tour of the local market 5 mins away from Pink Chilli’s Thai cooking class. We learned about the different types of vegetables used in daily Thai cuisine, as well as types of rice and types of meats. We learned how to make chicken red curry, papaya salad, fried shrimp with tamarind sauce, and mango sticky rice. After all the pestle & mortar pounding, knife chopping and a quick fry, we made our first real thai food. I would 100% recommend this class for all cooking levels. Fun experience plus a new skill added.
I came here with two of my sons (aged 14 and 17) who are both quite happy cooking but not exactly chefs. We all enjoyed it very much. There was only one other person - Lisa from Italy - so we made a foursome and that was really nice, too, We started with a walk around the local market which struck as as very much a food market for locals as there were no prices or labels in English. Our guide, Pimi, showed us different herbs and vegetables and also explained some of the essential sauces and spices you need to make Thai food. Then it was back to the kitchens (only a 2-3 minute walk) where we prepared four dishes - three main courses and some sticky rice and mango. We didn’t exactly prepare it all, but we certainly did enough to get a really good insight and to practise some of the skills. Pimi was very helpful in her explanations, too. Her English is good, if not perfect, and once we tuned into her accent we understood everything we needed to. We got to eat everything we had made. The Thai green curry and Pad Thai were really brilliant, as was the sticky rice and mango. We weren’t so keen on the other dish but it was ok, and a good contrast in flavour to the other dishes. We were all really pleased with this activity. It was very interesting, fun and memorable. I would recommend this kitchen, too, for sure.
Wonderful food and very good instructions. Catered for my gluten free and air conditioned in preparation area. Would highly recommend.
We really wanted to take a cooking class and needed something to do that was low effort due to all of the other activities we’d been participating in. We found Pink Chili with a Google search, because we wanted to find a place near us that was in walking distance from BTS Onnut location. Pink Chili had reasonable prices, perfect time slot and great menu option. Pimmy greeted us and led us to the market where she gave us a great briefing about the ingredients we were going to use. Though I’m half Thai, I still learned a lot. She let us roam the market for about 10 minutes, at which time I discovered great Thai tea (one of the better we tried). The class was enjoyable, easy to follow and fun!
Get ready to explore local markets and cook simple Thai dishes under the guidance of owner Pimmy. Come with an open mind to learn more about local spices and favours. The activity is good for families to bond over cooking and food! We had been to Thailand numerous times and was looking for a different experience. We opted for the 9am slot or otherwise we would have woke up late and prob having breakfast and end up in a local mall. The experience ended by about 12+ leaving us with still alot of time for the rest of the day. We prepared the ingredients and cooked mango sticky rice, curry chicken, Tamarind prawns and tom yum goong. It was simple to follow and we were also provided recipes so we may try when we return to our home countries. We will definitely be back to learn other dishes.
I love to cook. Now I feel more confident cooking Thai dishes. I could eat what we learned to make today, every day. It was delicious. Getting the recipes to bring home was a bonus. The kitchen is pristine, the equipment great, the instructions clear and the teacher was fabulous showing us around the market and describing the different produce and how they are used. I was in a small class with 2 other people so the mood was lighter and perfect to get acquainted and learn together. Great day. Thank you to our Teacher and to 2 new friends.
Great time in a small group setting. Learning about the ingredients at the market was informative. The preparation and cooking was only surpassed by how good the meal was.
We had a great time with Pimmy. Walking through the markets and learning about the local ingredients was a great experience. The class itself was great. We learned heaps. got to make then eat amazing food. Highly recommended.
It was a blast and the food was delicious! We had 4 friends and everyone had a wonderful experience. Thank you!!! 🙏
This class was so worth it. She taught us about all the ingredients we were using in the dishes we made at the market. Then we came back to cook the dishes. Three entrees and one dessert.
Pimmy was an amazing host, we learned so much from her and the dishes turned out super delicious. So happy to have done this class and cant wait to try making some at home! :’)
An excellent experience cooking Thai dishes. Instructor was very helpful and the results were delicious. Would highly recommend.
This is a must food experience. My family thoroughly enjoyed this cooking class and it was incredibly informative. We learned to make an entire meal and the flavors were stunning. I highly recommend this class to all, including families.
The whole experience was amazing. She is very knowledgeable about the process. I chose the afternoon slot which was great for me
Had a great fun time w the family making all the Thai classics with a market tour and friendly staff. A nice way to mingle with other tourists and see a new part of town.
A must do cooking class! What sets this one apart is that it is not "cookie-cutter". The visit to the local ,market is well worth the time and gives you a much better appreciation for the ingredients.
Very nice and friendly. Learnt a lot from her: visit the local market, the food and techniques. We ate our own cooking dishes afterwards. Very good experience. Highly recommended
Fun, informative and a great way to experience first hand Thai cuisine, this class is a must for anyone visiting Bangkok.
Unforgettable experience with Pimmy. Super kind, informative, funny and patient. I learned so much. I will cherish this.
We had an incredible time with Pimmy. From start to finish she was absolutely amazing, funny and really informative. She took her time explaining everything, guiding us and giving us tips on how to pick the right ingredients.
The market tour let me know about thai vegetables and plants. Also, I was introduced to possible substitutes for other countries, it was very useful! The cooking techniques were taught patiently and very well. The meal was super tasty, I would come here again! Can't wait to make these dishes for my family~ Thank you kha
We enjoyed so much the cooking session. Pimmy is very nice, informative and helpful. I would recommend this cooking class.
Booking is so easy online. We went twice because we really wanted to cook the famous pad thai. First you meet up at the cooking class and then visit the market which os 5 min walking distance. Pimmy gives excellent advice!! Then the real fun begins as you get to cook your own lunch
Pammy was incredibly rude and offensive on several occasions. She’d laugh, make fun, and essentially bully us for asking questions that had “obvious” answers in Thai context… which we’re not aware of because we’re tourists and are actually trying to learn. I understand if it was a one-off situation and there a misunderstanding, but no! There was definitely an attitude question. Here’s examples: - Someone asked what’s her name and she showed attitude and told the guy that he should pay attention. There’s a a lot happening, we can miss stuff you know. - Someone asked “what’s this” (pointed at the weird looking tail sticking out of a shrimp). The response was: “have you never seen a shrimp” in a demeaning tone. - I asked if the local vendors accepted credit cards. She laughed and gave me a lecture about how “us Americans” live in a bubble. First of all, I’m from a third world country, second of all, vendors throughout different 3rd world countries do accept credit cards. A simple yes/no would have sufficed. Now the actual cooking was fine and I see potential. It just felt like she wasn’t passionate about the job and the owner doesn’t really care about quality control. It was surprisingly to me that *all* the other tours I’ve had were great and the guides/hosts were one of the nicest and most accommodating. Message to the owner: We’re paying for this class and we’re trying to learn about your culture. Food is a great medium for you to educate us about your culture. Be respectful and train your employees to be respectful.
Class of 2 so food was the focus. The language was a bit of a barrier but the food was fun to make and delicious. We definitely learned a lot.
Fabulous cookery class, Pimmy was an excellent teacher! We visited a local market where she explained about the variety of produce. Then back to the school where we learnt to make 5 dishes & the best part was the eating at the end. We have the recipes & plan to make these once back home. Highly recommended!!!
She was amazing and I loved how proud she was of her culture and food and she is so funny as well, the food was delicious, so happy I could make it
Very unique experience. Both my wife and I really enjoyed this experience and we are happy we got the chance to do it.
Pimmy and the sous chef were fantastic! The class was fun and the food was even better. Prepare some extra time to arrive at the site as Bangkok traffic can be quite heavy and the class location is not in the city center.
Great experience! The market was interesting to see. Pimmy was a great teacher. We are all excited to go home and cook the same dishes. And it was nice to be able to control your own spice level for those of us who like to be spice adjacent.
My friend and I loved the cooking class. Khun Pimmy took us to the market and explained Thai ingredients to us, before brining us back to the class location which is super well set up. We learned how to make classic Thai dishes. We were really put to work and both felt it's quite likely that we'll try to recreate the dishes at home. The class was not difficult. Even though Thai cooking is not simple, Pimmy and her colleague prepared the measurements and the cooking stations perfectly so that we could focus on the fun parts. Highly recommended!
This cooking class was well explained and executed, the recipes were easy to follow and recreate. Pimmy was an excellent teacher eager to answer any question and teach us all about local ingredients and techniques.
She did more doing than teaching. Sometimes she was hard to understand and she talked fast. The school was clean and we did enjoy the time we spent there.
It is a nice way to spend a few hours. The hostess in kind and explains everything. At times it is hard to understand her. The tour of the market is the best thing. The menu we cooked was okay. I did another cooking class in the past and found that one (in Krabi) to be more engaging.
This was very interesting and we have learnt a lot about local food and ingredients from the market. The cooking result was amazing!
The best cooking class, definitely do this one if you are in Bangkok! The ladies are so lovely and show you everything you need to know, and teach you all about Thai cooking and how it works. Even an amateur cook (like me) will make amazing food in the class. 10/10, highly recommend.
Great fun. We learned a lot about thai cooking and about the ingredients used and how to pick and chose them. The instructor was very enthusiastic. The dishes were easy an fun to make (and very tasty). The whole operation was well-run and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommended!
Fantastic cooking course! We learned lots about Thai food and then got to cook and eat a delicious meal. Very well organised, lots of learning and a great time. Our kids are 12, 14 and 16 and they absolutely loved it as well!
It’s great! The whole process of going to the market to see where to buy the goods and then making the food is super fun and played out. I will say if you are hungry before, don’t hesitate to eat a snack because you don’t get to eat anything until the end of the class. Overall though, the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it.
The instructor and her assistant were fantastic! We especially enjoyed the tour to the market and learning about the fresh ingredients we were going to use in class. The instructor was so knowledgable, friendly and was patient, guiding us along each step. She even accommodated our dietary needs for a vegetarian meal. We got great hands on experience and had some of the best authentic Thai food of our lives! We would 200% do it again and advise anybody thinking about booking with Pink Chili to go ahead and do it. You'll be happy you did!
Amazing time! Very friendly and engaging. Informative about all the seasonings and food prep. The market was great to see all the fresh food. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.
First cooking class for me, I really love it. Dishes are very tasty. I want to thank the chef for sharing her knowdleges and skills and also for his good humor during all the cooking class. I highly recommanded. Daro.
Pimmy took us to the market, everything was explained and thoughtfully done. We learnt some great skills, she told us where to buy things and the food was delicious! We will be making lots more Thai food at home now!
Excellent walking tour and cooking class!. Pimmy did excellent job of showing and teaching ! Highly recommended !
Lovely cooking class with lovely staff. Walked to the market nearby and got a thorough explanation of all the ingredients and spices used. Afterwards, we got to chop our own vegetables with the oversight of the cooking instructor. We then cooked everything on the fire and got to eat our own dishes. Thanky you Pimmy.
