Great tour led by Nud and assisted by Ohm (who goes ahead, preorders food and ensures everything goes smoothly). Great flavours with explanations and history behold them. highly recommended tour. There is a lot of food so arrive hungry!
We had an amazing time on the food tour, Annie was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English. She made everyone feel so welcome. There was also a girl with her who helped the day run smooth. The trip was very well organised from start to finish. It was our first time in Thailand so we booked the food tour as an introduction for us into Thai food. We tried so many delicious dishes including some puddings. Highly recommend
You will cover unique transportation, extremely tasty and unique foods to the local region, with a charismatic guide to explain origins of the vendors a food influences. Highly recommended!
If I could rate this tour more than 5 stars I would! The best experience we had in Bangkok. Stunning food and lovely guides. We will be booking with this company again when we travel elsewhere for sure
Highly recommend this tour for a delicious and interesting view of Bangkok life through food and travel via commuter canal boat and tuktuks and walking through local market with guide. Annie (guide) and PeiPei (assistant) were amazing - I learned so much about culture, history and food. They took such good care of us - esp frozen cooling towels during a very hot day! Food was more than plentiful. But a wonderful variety and items I would never have tried on my own. Great experience! Thank you Annie, PeiPei and Chef Tour!
Well organized and overall a great experience. Lots of great food mixed in with tuk tuk and boat rides.
Great tour, learned a lot, saw interesting places and had great food. The tour was very well organized, the guides both were super friendly and knowledgeable.
Insane seriously amazing to us so much food don’t fill up on the first couple of dishes even though they are so good. Locals are super nice. Guide was great good humour 10/10 your
Better late than never with this review. I so enjoyed this excursion. I tasted so many delicious meals, snacks and tasty treats and used some great forms of transports to get there - mini boat, bus, etc. I’d definitely book again!
This food tour was amazing. The food was all small local vendors. It was delicious. We took multiple forms of transit, which was an adventure. We learned all sorts of information as well. Annie, Rainbow and Phi Phi were an amazing crew to work with.
Pang and Ohm were excellent guides, we really enjoyed the experience and loved the food we tasted. The trip also extends through a wide area, so utilization of transportarion and arrangement of everything by our guides made this a stress free adventure. Pang's good humor and taking the time to explain everything made the experience even better. We actually went back to our first stop the next day to have another serving of the food we tried on the tour.
What a fantastic way to discover Bangkok beyond the usual tourist attractions! The Old Siam food tour was much more than just tasting delicious Thai food. It was a journey through local traditions, fascinating stories, hidden corners and the rich culinary heritage of Bangkok. A special thank you to Annie and Millet, who made this experience so enjoyable. Their enthusiasm, personal attention and passion for Thai food and culture added something truly special to the tour. What we particularly loved was the combination of food, culture and everyday local life. It is exactly what we look for when travelling: discovering a country through its food and the people behind it. We left with full stomachs, wonderful memories and an even greater appreciation of Thai cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste and experience the real Bangkok! Thank you, Annie and Millet, for a memorable experience!
Ras tried hard, but lacked charm. The food was okay with couple of special dishes. Ras chose a route right through fume-sucking traffic on broken sidewalks. It was very crowded and very sad.
The tour was much more than a food tour. We explored a wholesale market, we took a canal boat, we took a tuk-tuk, and we finished by taking a 1970s people's bus. Ninja kept everything organized, so from one restaurant to the next, the chefs and servers were waiting for us. It was immediate gratification and excellent food. There was simply no waiting anywhere! Our guide, Johnny, spoke with an accent, but he was fully intelligible. Both Johnny and Ninja were open to all kinds of questions and ideas too. I just loved it! It was well worth the $52 per person.
Wonderful experience! Ninja and Johnny took great care of us, and all the food was delicious. Incredible, immersive experience. Highly recommend.
I almost canceled this tour after a chaotic arrival and severe flight delays due to the recent flooding in Bangkok. Exhausted and running on very little sleep, I thought about skipping it entirely, but I'm so glad I decided to go. It ended up being the highlight of my trip. The tour introduced me to local spots and dishes I never would have tried on my own, and the pacing was just right throughout. A big shout out to our guide, Sally—she was incredibly personable, accommodating, and patiently answered every single question we had. I had an amazing time and will definitely be booking their street food night tour next time I'm in Bangkok!
Guide was warm, polite and very knowledgeable. As well as his young man colleague, setting everything up ahead of time for us. We were lucky. A group of 3 customers. Got personal attention. Lots of great food, and places only seasoned locals know about. The length is the tour is perfect. Lot’s of food.
Amazing food tour! Excellent value for money! Great guides.
Anna was beyond expectations. What great food, great guide and great tour. Perfect from beginning to end. Can’t recommend enough Do this tour!
Great food tour! Got to experience riding a river boat, tuk tuk and bus. Food was overall delicious and it was cool to walk about the old parts of town. Guides (Pang & PP?) were friendly and so so helpful. Made sure we had waters, cold towels and manually fanned us... Now that's dedication! Our tour was almost 4 hrs long. There were 8 in the group plus the 2 guides. Definitely worth it and would recommend for everyone to try.
An EXCELLENT TOUR! Our tour guides were excellent… one ran ahead to ensure a table for us at every stop. The other had superb English and explained the method of cooking and ingredients at every spot. The food itself was terrific. We travelled by foot, boat and tuck tuck. A great Thai adventure not to be missed!
Had a fantastic time with Annie and Ninja for the Old Siam tour. True value for money in terms of the amount of food we got to try and eat throughout the tour! It was a nice mix of walking and transport via boat and tuk tuk and into areas that I wouldn't have necessarily have found myself with all the research I've done. I did this tour solo and found it a great way to fill out my day and stomach, but also a fantastic way to learn more about Thai food and getting to meet your local guides and other travellers. Annie was super knowledgeable and had great energy through the tour and Ninja organised all the transportation, fables and food for us throughout the tour. Overall, so worth your time and very well organised!
Khun Annie and Minja were excellent guides. The timing of the stops was just right and I plan to recommend this tour to other visitors to Bangkok as well.
Great day out - skip breakfast as you'll need the room. Recommended for anyone who wants a genuine Thai food experience.
This food tour was a fun way to spend the first half of the day. We got to experience all modes of transportation (tuktuk, canal boat, bus) so that cool and of course ate a ton of great Thai food. You will be so stufffed by the end so attempt to moderate your early intake! Tao and his team were highly organized and made it all go seamlessly.
We had an amazing experience tasting our way through Bangkok. Pang & Aom were great hosts and the food was amazing.
This was the best foodie tour I ever took! Johnny (our tour guide) was excellent as he had a wonderful personality, spoke English well, efficiently guided us to all the food tasting locations,, provided information on the history of the different areas we visited, and explained all the dishes we tasted including the ingredients that went into the dishes! We also had another tour guide (Millie?), where she provided hand sanitizer, wipes, a cold towel (which was delightful as it was a hot day), and ensured all the places we visited and transportation we took were ready for us. This was the first tour that ever provided hand sanitizer and wipes which was exceptionally nice since we are tasting a lot of food. We also got to ride a water taxi, a tuk tuk and the city bus which was a fun and neat to experience these modes of transportation. We truly got to taste a variety of delicious Thailand food along with experiencing the culture of Thailand. You definitely will not be hungry after this tour. The food and tour were amazing!
If you're a Westerner like me, you've always been told NOT to eat street or market food abroad. But A Chef's Tour let's you try all that delicious "forbidden" food without any health worries. Also, they take you to Mom and Pop stalls which support local families instead of big companies. Our guide, Pang, was knowledgeable, passionate about food, and hilarious. Our runner, Kor, made sure we were safe, comfortable, hydrated, and kept to time throughout. But above all, the food was AMAZING. Such an incredible variety of dishes and flavors without being uncomfortably full by the end. If you are a foodie and only have one day in Bangkok, I think this is the tour for you. Bon appetit!
This was such a fun experience. Dont eat breakfast beforehand!! Bew and Arm were both fabulous hosts. I recommend this trip to anyone visiting Bangkok and want to try something a little bit different, but still accessible. Highly recommended!
Tried about 20 dishes. Had a great experience with the hosts. The tour offered different modes of transport which was great to experience!
You absolutely can not miss this tour! You get to travel on the boat, the bus and a tuktuk, all with an incredible guide to help you through it all. You get to learn so much about Thai food, that you would otherwise not know anything about. My guide Tao was so smart and knowledgable, he really opened my eyes to the vibrance of Thai food.
With the talent guide - Bew - provided a wonderful experience to ride on a local canal boat ride and two types of tuk-tuks. A shout out to assistant guide - Arme who ensured the next food stall had the food prepared ready for our arrival! A great range of various Thai food were tried and obtained where the locals go. Plentiful dishes and all delicious! Water is consistently offered which is necessary during the heat of the day. A fab experience!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – One of the best experiences in Bangkok! Absolutely fantastic food tour from start to finish. We tried an incredible variety of authentic Thai dishes in places we would never have discovered on our own, and everything was delicious. Annie and Butter were amazing — friendly, funny, knowledgeable and incredibly well organised. Annie explained the food, ingredients and Thai culture at every stop, while Butter made sure everything ran perfectly throughout the tour. The combination of great food, local places and discovering Bangkok beyond the usual tourist spots made this a real highlight of our trip. Come hungry — there is A LOT of food! 😂 100% recommended. A genuine 10/10 experience in Bangkok. Thank you Annie and Butter! 🇹🇭❤️
Fantastic experience all round Jono and Mikey were awesome!! Think we ended up with 22 tastings all up and highly recommend the tour.
Incredible tour. Highly recommend. Annie was amazing. Knowledgeable and entertaining.
The food tour was amazing, our guide Pang was so cool and explained not only the food, but the history of the neighborhoods, culture and people of Thailand. I can’t recommend it more… Pang also needs a raise because she went above and beyond to make mine and two other gentlemen’s experience a wonderful one!
Totally amazing food tasting trip seeing authentic Thailand food being made and tasting it too ! Annie and Mr Pay where both excellent guides do friendly . Annie was very knowledgeable and we learned some new things too! Would totally recommend to foodies everywhere!
We did the old siam food tour with Annie and Phee Phee as our guides. They were amazing and so knowledgeable and such fun to be with. All the food stops were great - our favourites were the Tom Yum, mussel omelette and the aubergine salad stops. Annie was so accommodating as neither my brother or I eat pork. We were spoilt rotten with food substitutions and never felt like we missed out because of our dietary requirements.
First of all this is my second time in Thailand. I don’t usually go on tours so I didn’t expect to be so surprised by this one specifically but honestly this was the best tour I could ever go on. We got to experience how the locals use transportation if it was with tuk tuk canal boat bus or by walking. We got to experience authentic real Thai food in places Thai residence go to and just the getting there and passing by the little streets and stores and people.. this made me enjoy all the different Thai meals. They also gave us meals that were our first time trying them and 20/15 meals if you really count. The guides, what can I say? The energy, the smiles, helping me with my kid. The expanded explanation, the goal of wanting us to be happy. I really do advise this tour for anyone who wants a good and different experience in Bangkok then what the tourists are doing. Thank you!
We did the tour that started at 10 AM. The pick up point was fairly convenient although it could be a bit more specific as the department store had more than one entrance (thankfully not that far apart). We went to multiple locations, tasted many types of Thai food, all delicious! The guides were very organized, with one of them acting as an advance scout going to the next stop so we didn't wait long to be seated and served at each stop. The main speaking guide did a good job explaining the background of the food, context of the street vendor/market/restaurant. Some places had no English signs, so places where I would not ever have known about otherwise. Transportation between stops by public transportation also well coordinated. Warning to pace yourself with the food, so that you're not full only 60% through! Unlimited water provided. The guides will warn you about spiciness. Small group made it interesting as well, sharing experiences with other travelers. Drop off location was different from the starting location, so that needed some advance planning on how you want to go to your next destination.
This is one of the most exciting adventures in a different time and place , THE HOSTESS WAS THE GREATEST EVER. 🌟🌟
Johnny and Oom were fabulous! Such energy, care and so much delicious food. Johnny explained all the delicious dishes so well. There is too much food! The whole morning was a delight for the tastebuds!! Thank you!!
We had a very good time learning local Thai culture and cuisines. The foods we eat and places we visited were authentically Thai, exactly what we were looking for. Our tour guides were Annie (who was very informative) and Koi they did a great job and we were the only customers on that tour so our tour was private LOL. We started with taking the canal boat, walking through a market, taking tuk tuks and more. Thanks !

great tourguides, you learn a lot about the ingredients of the dishes, you eat at very local spots without any tourists, boat ride and tuk tuk ride inclusive. the tour guide overall was rather expensive but the value for money is very good because of how much you try, learn and experience!
As a lover of food and especially Asian food this was absolutely fantastic. It is the best tour I have ever done. All the stops were different and well explained by our amazing guide Johnny. We loved it so much that we have booked a chef’s tour for Singapore. Johnny will be hard to beat though.
Interesting tour which included a boat, tuk tuk and bus ride which was fun. Lots of interested good to taste, with a lovely guide (Bew). Slightly difficult place to get back to the hotel from but ok
Amazing! A must try in Bangkok. You get to visit places and try food which are otherwise difficult to access as a tourist.
