Bond was our tour guide and did a nice job pointing out the different animals in the tropical forest. He had worked in the park for many years before becoming a tour guide, so he knew where to look and was familiar with the wildlife. We spotted several different kinds of animals along the way. It was almost like a scavenger hunt, looking carefully through the trees to see what we could find next. It was an enjoyable way to explore the forest and learn about its wildlife. I would recommend this tour if you enjoy nature and spotting animals!

Itinerary
Khao Yai, with its rich flora and fauna, is the perfect destination for nature lovers. The park is home to elephants, tigers, monkeys, bears, deer, squirrels, and over 400 bird species. You may also encounter pythons, spiders, rodents, and insects, so long-sleeved clothing is recommended. We take a 3 to 4 km trek through the forest and enjoy the scenic mountainous landscape and dense jungle. Along the way, your guide will point out interesting plants, animal tracks and sounds of the forest. Khao Yai is one of the best places in Thailand to spot wild Asian elephants, though sightings can never be guaranteed. The trail is suitable for those with a normal level of fitness, though we understand that physical effort varies from person to person. The duration includes travel time to and from Bangkok.
There are several waterfalls throughout the national park offering incredible scenery and photo opportunities. The most well-known waterfall in Khao Yai National Park is Haew Suwat. It is famous for being the location for Leonardo DiCaprio's waterfall dive in the movie ‘The Beach’ back in 2000.
Haew Narok is the highest falls in Khao Yai National Park, and the park’s star attraction, cascading over three tiers with the final level gushing 80 metres below into a deep pool. However, only the first level is open to the public, as the other levels are steep and dangerous. There’s a hillside viewpoint where you can clearly watch and take photos of the waterfall. Especially at the height of the rainy season, the Haew Narok Waterfall is a truly breathtaking sight.

Great experience throughout. Clear communication from the guide, plenty of rest stops, and ample opportunities to spot wildlife on this trip. Managed to spot some unique insects, animals, and birds.
Guide took time to search for insects and animals for us to see. Also gave us back story and history of the place, along with facts about the animals.
Good tour and fun experience!
The National Park is a real gem and worth visiting while in Bangkok. It is a bit of a drive but a nice escape from the city especially with such a great guide like Bond and driver Choy. Bond was very knowledgeable about the park and was able to answer questions about the flora and fauna there. He has experience so knows where to find animals. If I would have gone on my own the experience would have simply been a beautiful trail hike but with Bond as our guide it was a real adventure. He pointed out snakes, spiders, birds, tarantulas and scorpions hiding amongst us. We were lucky to hear a gibbon and see a large cat siting. It was really fun. Mr Choy was a great driver and kept us safe around the twisty roads of the park. I hope I can come back again to see elephants with Bond the next time in Thailand.
Bond found interesting site, fauna and flora to share at each stop and throughout trails.
Great experience! Included a pick up at my hotel, the park tour, and good information along the way! The drive to the park is 3 hr each way so bring food or cash to buy food at the midpoint stops. We saw multiple species indigenous to Asia so was good for the photographers. A couple of >1 km trails mostly paved with asphalt All in all well worth the cost!!
Incredible day, Bond was a very knowledgeable guide and made the experience fantastic
The whole trip was really smooth! Both our guide and driver were so funny, friendly, and helpful. It was truly a Thai hospitality experience! They made the journey enjoyable, and our guide also shared some valuable insights about the history and Khao Yai itself. Overall, it was such a pleasant and memorable experience!
No elephants but saw lots of amazing animals! Wear covered shoes and long pants given it’s in the jungle and lots of critters.
Very great tour. Luke our guide was great and took us to the places in description. Pickup and dropoff smooth as well. Would recommend.
Thank you, we very much enjoyed the trip. It worked out very well even for a rainy day.
Wonderful trip exploring the Khao Yai National Park. Hired a driver and guide to see waterfalls, hike in the rainforest and see a different side of Thailand
Amazing experience!! Must do. My guide Nina was excellent. Mr. Temple our trekking guide was very informative and entertaining. The driver Mr Tom was so hospitable! Absolutely recommend!!
Surina the guide was kind and generous. We had fun spending time with her and learning from her. She helped us find suitable food in the park and on the way there (we are vegetarian) and shared with us her favorite snacks. The vehicle was comfortable and the ride was smooth. You should note that the ride from Bangkok to Khao Yai is long (3 hours each direction) with more driving inside the park. So much more time was spent in the car than in nature. Also, in a rapid pace like that you can enjoy the trails, but not see much animals. The park itself is big and diverse. If you have the time, take a longer tour. We asked to be dropped off in Pak Chong and not to return to Bangkok, and returned the day afterwards to spend another day in the park. The company was willing to accommodate our request and we appreciate that very much. The communication with them towards the tour was very clear and easy.
Friendly-Professional-Careful- Educational. We had wonderful day and fantastic experience!!! Thank you 👏🤩🏆
Surina our guide was knowledge, generous, funny and very kind. She was attentive to our needs and wishes and help protect us from leeches (and there were many!). Although it rained we had a good experience, seen monkeys, squirrels, butterflys, lots of deers and more. The vehicle was comfortable and the ride went smoothly.
Guide Surina made the tour a great and enjoyable experience, helped us spot many monkeys, deer and other wildlife.
Bond was my tour guide and he was incredible. His knowledge of the various plants and animals in the national park and how to spot them made this trip all the more better. While other hikers were walking by, we were able to spot hidden gems. Bond and his driver went out of their way to make sure my experience at the park was the absolute best possible. Very much appreciated. Thank you.
We had a wonderful tour with Tonya, she helped us to see many animals which would have been really challenging otherwise like pit vipers, macaques, spiders, sambar deer, and wild elephants and explained info on the park + Thai culture. It was a bit muddy in the rainy season + you need to wear long pants on the hike to avoid leeches. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Thailand to be able to see local wildlife up close in such a convenient way.
10/10 experience. The waterfalls were amazing. At the National Park, I got to see Monkeys, Snakes, and other animals just roaming around freely. My guide Mr. Bond and driver took great care of me. Book with confidence.
Was an exceptional day trip. Got to see some spectacular national park and waterfalls and even saw some wildlife. By far the best day trip. Very fortunate to see a large family group of Gibbons feeding in the jungle. Highly recommended.
Tour was amazing great experience with guide name john. Team is professional know how to deal with clients. Thank you for this memorable trip
It was a special day in the middle of the jungle. The super guide Surina has simply fantastic, expert, friendly and attentive to details. Have fun your daily tracking with her!
Thank you Surina for being our guide for the day! We were very lucky to see all 3 waterfalls and go on the hike. She is so knowledgeable and friendly and always tries to spot cool animals for us to see. She also went above and beyond by ensuring we had food by buying us snacks. Although we did not see any gibbons, elephants or hornbill, I still had a fun time! I think it will be easier to send a photo location so it will be easier to meet up but other than that, I am very satisfied with the tour ☺️🙏💗
Very cool experience! The guide was great
It was a great experience! I booked the tour on rainy season (August),but still many to see. The waterfall was amazing. Inside the jungle are many animals I have never seen, lot of sounds that I have never heard before, and it let me fully re-charge my body and mind. Our guide Ms. Surina and our driver did the best for us. They knew a lot about the nature and very friendly. Recommend!
I had a great time on the trip Khao Yai National Park. The two waterfalls were very impressive as there was a lot of water. The jungle trek was also nice and we saw some cool animals. Our tour guide Surina was very knowledgeable of the area and kind.
Sirana and Pramh were amazing. They went out of their way to show us amazing, insects and animals. They were super invested in us having a great experience and went the extra mile to show us things. After a very long day I was so thankful to be dropped back at my hotel by Pramh. Sirena is an absolute delight , and it was great having only 2 people on the tour. Wonderful
The trip was highlighted by amazing observations of animals in their natural habitat, such as Gibbons swinging along the jungle canopy, baby Macaques clinging to their mothers, and a beautiful green snake sunning itself near the jungle floor. We loved seeing the impressive waterfalls which offered some amazing photo opportunities. Our guide Surina was knowledgeable and full of energy making our trip to Khao Yai so fun! The bus was air conditioned and comfortable. Surina ensured we had access to food/water, and washrooms so we were well looked after. Would recommend 10/10.
We had such a great time! Surina was an amazing guide — super friendly, kind and always happy to help and explain everything along the way. She made us feel really comfortable and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. All the spots we visited were beautiful and totally worth it. We were also lucky enough to see monkeys, snakes and deer, which made the experience even more special! We loved every moment of the trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Thailand. Thank you so much, Surina!
We enjoy the experience, saw some Macacos and Gibbons. Surina our guide was very nice, and she made the trip better!
Great tour guide. Amazing views
I had a fabulous time with Surina! I ended up being the only one on the tour and she treated me like her VIP. She helped me order a vegetarian meal for lunch, told me many stories about the national park and the animals within, and communicated well the whole time. She tried her best to show me as many animals as possible. I saw hornbills, gibbons, monkeys, snakes, turtles, many butterflies and other small creatures. Unfortunately, I did not see any elephants but that is just unlucky! Surina made the best of it by pointing out the elephant tracks and teaching me the sounds and signs of different animals in the jungle. She took photos and videos at each stop and offered to take more. We got to see baby gibbons too! I definitely feel like Surina tried to give me the most authentic experience possible - she even showed me some new foods. All in all it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend this tour and guide again.
Amazing experience, unfortunately we were not able to spot elephants but we saw a lot of monkeys with babies. The guide is truly a sweet person, always smiling and very passionate
Top experience top guide beautiful
Surina was well prepared and organized.
Surina was so kind, beautiful person and perfect guide
That was a great tour with the best guide. We saw many animals, spiders, dragon lizard, gibbons and a great hornbill. We walked paths in the jungle, all together about 4 kilometres
We saw a lot of new animals ans the guide had much background information
Mr Bond was a great guide, kind, very friendly with a huge knowledge and passion Great experience!
Very good experience with a funny and passionate guide ! I recommend.
Very nice guide during the tour
Mr Bond, and the driver are quite friendly, active, informative, and polite. Also Bond has experience in identifying animals and local fauna. We saw many animals and visited nice places to enjoy the park.
A very long day, but worth it to get out of the city and see Khao Yai while in Bangkok for a few days after a work trip. Chang and the driver Pach were both friendly and did a great job. Chang knows a lot about the park and sights on the long drive there. Saw monkeys and the roaring waterfalls during the rainy season.
Saw beautiful scenery and experienced nature with a knowledgeable and passionate tour guide. Thank you Bond!
Our guide Mark was very supportive and nice. Gave us a good opportunity to relax and enjoy the nature. It is not a big adventure but a quiet trip with the chance to observe nature.
We are very happy with our Guide.
It was a great experience! The guide(Surina)was real nice, and the driver too!
