About Activity
A journey back in time is made on an e-scooter tour of Bangkok’s historic attractions in the Old Quarter. These silent and speedy vehicles enable a lot of ground to be covered in a short time and their versatility enables access through narrow alleyways. Guests are guided past areas of interest, including riverside Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and colourful Pak Khlong Talat Flower Market, a blaze of colour that stocks abundant fragrant and exotic flowers and orchids. We will also see the magnificent Grand Palace bathed in floodlights. The tour starts with a riding demonstration and a brief potted history of Bangkok. Our final call is at Wat Prayoon on the western side of the Chao Phraya River. Built during King Rama III’s reign, this white stupa shrine is located on the southern edge of a former Portuguese community where these merchants lived. Besides exploration, the guide’s expert local knowledge ensures we enjoy delicious dishes at the best street food outlets along the way. History, heritage and hawker food, this tour has it all!
