Worst day, nobody comes. We were stranded for 2 hours waiting . Tour operators told me later it’s tragic so we cannot proceed

Great views of lit up buildings. Live music made it a lot of fun. Thai dancing was very enjoyable. It is suggested that the organizers increase vegetarian options in food.
We had avery good time on our cruise. The food was pretty good, the entertainment was fine. But is is the view up and down the river that is the key of the experience. The only reason it is not a 5 star experience is the poor organization on thr dock, and the lack of signs to show which group is being boarded at the time.
Enjoyed the music and ambiance, food was very good crew was very respectful and courteous, enjoyed the moment
We felt we were over charged for the cruise as it was not worth the price we paid for. USD330 for 2 adults and a child 5(yo). With transfers to and from hotel.
the best first my experience dinner at gajah putih restaurant. have a good show, food, drink, and good service from waiter/waitress so friendly!!
I booked a cruise for August/23, on May/23, on the "Wonderful Pearl", Last week on 25/07/23, I was informed that the ship is under maintenance, it seems that they knew it almost at the same time that I made the reservation!!! (but they didn't tell me). Their solution was that we could change the date (impossible because we are on a tour), or that they could offer us a change to the cheaper "Grand Pearl Cruise", and that the difference in money is left for us to spend on drinks (?). As an option they offered me my money back through a wire transfer. Money I haven't seen yet. Their answer is that transfers takes some time. Very bad service, as well as poor management of the reservations.
Very good service and good quality buffer onboard with entertaining singer during cruise. Enjoy my trip with my wife for our 31st anniversary.
The pros: Our tour guide was on time, very professional, and polite. The boat ride was another great way to see Bangkok. The food was good also. The cons: It was very unorganized how we loaded the boat because two groups were waiting on two different boats “Wonderful Pearl” and the “Grand Pearl.” We were all waiting in one big group, so when it was time to load the “Wonderful Pearl” everyone herded towards the ramp ( most us unaware that there were two different boats). It would have been great if they would have had us stand in two separate groups. This way one group could start loading their boat while the other group stand off to the side. In addition this was not much of a romantic tour with children running around. All in all, this was a great experience! We had 4 other tours, so we ranked this tour at #4.
Very poor excursion. Food was not good and there were long queues at the buffet. Service for drinks was very poor and we waited for ages. Did not get to see many historic sites, the cruise only passes two. Would not recommend as expensive for what you get.
Good pleasure view while seated on external deck onboard the cruise, though faced wiith strong winds blowing into us, not just the table food. Heads-up to the live on board duo singers who entertained with non-stop songs and seriously think they could take a break interval in between. Food served was adequate and reasonably tasty if not the best. Overall, it was enjoyable ride though it returned to dock past 10.30pm (slightly more than 2 hours' cruising).
To whom this may concern, My wife and I was offered a ”Grand Pearl” – Luxury Dinner cruise experience in Bangkok with transfer to and from the cruise. We paid 8650 Thai bath (4325 per person) which is a pretty hefty amount but we figured that the cruise experience would be worth the money. Imagine our disappointment when we stepped onto the cruise and got placed on the bottom deck with no view and nothing included – nothing luxury yet. We thought we would give it some time and let the crew and the experience get the benefit of the doubt. Dinner came and…. we will say that “luxury” might as well have been left out of the cruise title. We thought that we had just been unlucky with this cruise and that we had maybe paid a bit too much for the experience and gotten disappointed just like everyone else must have felt – until we saw the top deck of the ship. The guests up there sat enjoying a lovely candlelit night with a great view of Bangkok by night. Why couldn’t we have gotten that, we thought? We would have paid extra for that! We got to talking with another guest who was also placed on the bottom deck who told us he had paid 1750 Thai bath for his ticket which is less than half of what we’ve paid for our tickets!? How is any of this okay? The price might have been okay for an experience on the top deck but it wouldn’t surprise me if we talked to some of those guests and they had paid less than us as well. It’s a sham and it’s unacceptable! I would like to hear a damn good explanation for this and we expect a refund for the amount that we’ve overpaid to stay on the bottom deck with NO experience or view at all! Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Heidi Weche Jordan og Steen Højtved Krogager
It’s not really a luxury, people turn up in shorts T-shirts and flip flops, and the buffet starts before everyone is on board with people arriving and people fetching food, if your last on it is slim pickings and the food isn’t the best. If was very mixed groups, those dressed up and those who were just passing and bought a ticket in the way home from the bars.
I had booked the evening dinner cruise, as I thought it would be a great way to see Bangkok sights and enjoy the buffet dinner. It was reasonable value at around £26 each. However, a few things bugged me. The cruise was due to set off at 19.30 and people were boarding the boat at 19.00 and straight away attacking the buffet. I thought it would be a relaxing dinner cruise, not a mad rush for food before the boat has even left dock. We chose to wait, but by that time, a lot of the food was gone, and certain tables had it piled up in front of them. The cruise advertised showing you the sights of Bangkok, including the Grand Palace, however the boat didn't go up the river that far and instead, went the over way, which was pretty boring. Drinks were expensive especially the wine, and despite the cruise busy with international tourist, they only accept cash on board. Also, we were presented our drinks bill 45 mins before the end of the cruise, instead of being able to buy another drink. The cruise was generally OK but is not the great romantic/relaxing cruise we thought.
I think it was just like any other dinner cruise. Food was so so (the prawns and the dipping sauce were great though), and the band was mediocre at best. It was quite nice when we were on the top deck (outdoor) where we can see beautiful view of Bangkok at night, but then it was raining and we had to go indoor and it became boring. The duration was about 2 hours.
The food was just okay. Many options to choose from. Not as good as I thought. The food at the clubs and the attractions definitely still as more authentic and cooked with love. I enjoyed the ambiance the most. The boat itself is nice and the scenery was very nice that we passed. Beautiful views. The live band was very enjoyable. They sang so good and made it real nice. I was disappointed that the Thai classical dance was not happening this night (May 6th) as it was one of the things that attracted my attention when planning our attractions as foreigners.
The whole experience was great from.start to finish. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and entertainment and it's was well organized
Really relaxing tour. Ommni was a great guide who told us about the city as we drove to where the boat departed from, and Demmy the driver who drove us there was interesting as well.
t was really a great experience for my 1st ride in a cruise, good ambiance, good music, wonderful staffs and delicious foods. Highly recommended! Thank you Klook!
We booked through Viator, and were assigned an area to sit which was lovely, however as we would come up to a location many guests would rush out bumping our table or us and making it impossible for us to see the landmarks. This was disappointing and spoilt the night. Drinks were priced okay, however we did not receive our complimentary drink as we boarded which was highly annoying as it was paid for in the ticket. Our driver was also late to pick up. Sadly another down point was the child vomiting on deck and it taking close to 30-45minutes before someone cleaned it up. Food was good and a great variety. Overall it was a good evening not fantastic though.
Booked this cruise through Viator. First issue was getting to the dock. The cost included a van ride from your hotel but the information said that you could also meet them at the Cruise operators headquarters. Since we were going to be in that area I said that is where I wanted to get picked up. However, they told me that I could not get picked up there and had to go the dock or get picked up at my hotel which I then had to go back to for pickup. When we got to the dock there were two ships, the Grand Pearl and the Wonderful Pearl. Our tickets were for the Wonderful Pearl which was much larger but just curious as to how you know which one you are booked on? On the ship your table was pre-assigned in one of 3 areas, the top deck which is open, the front bow which is open, and the inside area which had air conditioning. My tickets were for the front bow, but if I had wanted to sit inside, again, how would I have requested that? Did not have any options when booking through Viator. Maybe if you book through the operators website you can select options. While boarding the ship there were two bands, one inside and one on the top deck. I was glad that I was seated in the bow and did not have music blasting too loud while trying to talk and eat! The buffet was available upon getting seated and was available throughout the cruise. The food was fine and plentiful. Drinks were priced high, but not as high as the better hotels in Bangkok. Beer was about $5 USD. Overall, the cruise was a good value for the money.
We booked the dinner cruise with transfers, however we were not picked up because the driver had gone to the wrong hotel for us. We had to take a taxi to the River City from the hotel and were reimbursed without a question as we arrived at the Grand Pearl Cruise desk. The views from the boat were lovely, food was plentiful with numerous stations but failed to impress (we were also expecting more Thai dishes), cocktails tasted below average with way too much sugar (we had margaritas and Singapore sling), the band was very nice. The boat is quite big, so it can feel slightly crowded.
If you wonder why this particular dinner cruise options seems more expensive, here are the reasons: 1) You're on board the "Wonderful Pearl"--certainly the most attractive large boat on the river. 2) Seating is prime--on the upper air-conditioned deck. No, you're not topside in the open air but you can go up there if you want to take pictures but you'll appreciate the comfort below. 3) There is a dedicated buffet with very high quality dishes to include a "Japanese Bar" with excellent sushi and wonderful desserts. The food is a couple notches above what I saw on the buffet for the top deck. 4) You have dedicated and excellent entertainment to include a nice dance floor. The band plays appropriate dinner music through the first half of the voyage and switches to an excellent mix of high energy dance numbers for the second half. The acoustics are superb because excepting the windows nearly every surface is covered in fabric or carpet. The band performed a highly diverse group of song styles. All were excellent save "I Love You Just the Way You Are" which was butchered by the singer. ------------------- This is the sort of experience that makes any but the most jaded traveler happy to be alive and feeling fortunate to experience something so wonderful.
We are a family of three with a young child aged 6, all three of us had really good time at the cruise. We started with the buffet dinner, food was very good, decent quality and variety if dishes. Only thing we didn’t like was that there were tables at the lower deck but after we finished our meal we went to the upper deck where there was live music. The band was amazing, people had a very good time and fun, including me and my 6 years old son! Overall, this was money and time well spent in Bangkok. I also need to mention that we were picked up from our hotel and return with the same driver who was punctual, professional and polite. Thomi
It was a great experience, our trip started right on time, food was ready by the time we got to our table. They assign you your table, so that makes the boarding process go smoothly. THE VIEWS ARE AWESOME. Great songs by the band, in many languages. I totally recommend it.
Had super fun on this dinner cruise. The boat is beautiful. The buffet was decent (though vegetarians might find it lacking). The live music performance was on point and very entertaining. Its a wonderful way to see all the major Bangkok icons.
This was a highlight of the visit, good food, good entertainment and to watch a group of people from south Korea dancing to gangland style was hilarious. The views and site in the dark were spectacular. well worth doing, Thought the alcohol was ridiculously expensive
We have traveled with the Grand Pearl before and were looking forward to another nice trip. However, the ship is so rocked down. The risk of injury also exists the food was in no way like the last time, but has caused three days of diarrhea.
photo du site rien a voir avec le réel le transport 1h30 vendu pour 4h résultat monté dans le feux bateaux a 19h00 terminé a 21h00 vendu 4 h réel 2h grosse arnaque
The number of participants is too large, so there is a real battle at the buffet. Also, a normal conversation is not possible, at least on the upper deck, because the show program is so loud that you don't understand your own word. For me, a huge bust and no romance whatsoever
Les monuments qui défilent tout en douceur dommage qu'il n'y avait pas de danse traditionnelle sur le bateau.
It was a magnificent dinner, lovely atmosphere!!! Excellent food, very kind staff, lovely view!!! I recommend it 😉
To break a bit pa monotony of the restaurants, we chose a different evening..... a dinner on the boat, overlooking the bay. Beautiful evening.... Rich buffet and good entertainment.
