Meeting point is at Tha Chang Pier, opposite the Grand Palace
The glittering Grand Palace in Bangkok is an architectural wonder that was once home to the kings of the Chakri Dynasty. A visit to the ornate and historic Grand Palace, and the adjacent Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is a highlight of any visit to the Kingdom. The palace was built in 1782 by the Rama I, the first king of the Chakri Dynasty, when he moved the capital of what was then known as the Kingdom of Siam from Thonburi on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River to Bangkok on the east bank. For 150 years the palace was the home of the Thai King. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom. Entrance fees are NOT included in the tour price and should be paid in cash on the day of the tour (Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew is THB 500 per person).
Wat Pho is one of the oldest temples in the Thai capital. It is also one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok and has the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. Wat Pho maintains the title as the country’s earliest center for public education, specializing in religion, science and literature. Most of the Buddha images on display were brought to Wat Pho, by order of King Rama I, from abandoned temples in Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. And of course you'll visit the reclining Buddha, one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand. Entrance fees are NOT included in the tour price and should be paid in cash on the day of the tour (Wat Pho is THB 300 per person).
A stay in the Thai capital is not complete without visiting Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, one of Bangkok's most famous landmarks. After the fall of Ayutthaya, King Taksin established a royal palace and temple here to house the Emerald Buddha. The temple was named after the Indian god of dawn, Aruna. It wasn't until the capital and the Emerald Buddha were moved to Wat Phra Kaew at the Bangkok side that Wat Arun received its most prominent characteristic: the 82 meters high prang (Khmer-style tower). Wat Arun is decorated with ornate floral mosaics made from broken Chinese porcelain, a common temple ornamentation in the early Rattanakosin period, when Chinese ships calling at the port of Bangkok used tonnes of old porcelain as ballast. Entrance fees are NOT included in the tour price and should be paid in cash on the day of the tour (Wat Arun is THB 200 per person).

Beautiful temples and worth to see. Ken did a good job 🙌
Ken was fabulous! Had a great day…
Ken was an incredible guide! Informative, friendly and kind, 10/10. Highly recommend this tour with Ken :)
Very nice! I loved! Thank You!
Ken was a very wonderful, informative and attentive guide. We had a great time with him around the temples.
Ken was an amazing tour guide. He is so full of knowledge which he shares readily and with a real love of Thailand. I learned so much from him and made some friends as well. He created a joyful experience. I would recommend this to any and everyone.
Ken was fantastic! Many thanks!
Am amazing experience! Our tour guide Ken was great! Very kind, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend!
Well organized, competent leader and driver. Followed the itinerary very well. Definitely worth the money and time.
Ken is a great guide, extremely friendly and informative, we became friends :) The tour itself is very good, we visited the 3 main temples and the grand palace in ~4 hours with explanations in each spot. Highly recommended.
We had a great tour guide Nikki, she was very fun, knowledgeable and accommodating with taking beautiful photos of us at each location.
Ken was a great host! Very informative and fun! I would book to have him as my guide again!
Fantastic tour of the palace and temples in Bangkok. You should not miss the beautiful architecture, ornate details and history of the royal family. Our guide Nikki was outstanding! She was a ball of energy and made it so fun to listen to the history. She timed everything perfect. It was a VERY hot day and she planned stops through air conditioned buildings at just the right time. And she’ll get the perfect picture of you with the sites! Highly recommend!
John is excellent! The places are obligatory visits!
This was a fantastic experience. I saw all of the amazing beautiful temples and was able take the most beautiful photos. OIL was an amazing guide and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. I thank her so much for a memorable experience.
Transportation was impecable, with polite drivers who were on time and with clean cars. The guide "Nikki" was excellent and very knowledgeable. She was efficient, and we moved through the crowd with ease. Explained everything in detail. I highly recommend this tour.
Chill was an amazing tour guide, very detailed and informational. The tour was great and included the ferry ride to Wat Arun 10/10
We really enjoyed our visit to the grand palace. Paula Our Guide gave her best explaining everything with examples and joy.
Paula was our guide and she expertly shepherded our group through the very busy temple complexes, keeping us entertained and informed along the way. She has a charming and humourful manner and kept us out of the baking sun as much as possible, at one point getting us onto an air-conditioned bus to avoid a hot walk, and also stopping for a smoothie. The time flew by, despite the wilting heat. Paula's English is heavily accented so required close attention but this didn't detract from her enthusiastic story-telling. Be wise (unlike some other reviewers!) and dress appropriately for heat and for temples plus bring a little cash for extras, and you'll have an excellent experience.
Overall the lan was good but the logistics of the guide was a bit hectic. Things we spent time on were not important and things that were important we rushed through. Trying to find the guide and communicating with the tour company was also hard. Overall not the best experience
What an amazing experience! Visiting the Grand Palace and temples of Bangkok was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. The architecture, intricate details, and rich history were absolutely incredible. Seeing these beautiful landmarks in person was something special. Having an experienced guide made the tour even better. Learning about the history, traditions, and cultural significance of the different sites gave us a much deeper appreciation for everything we were seeing. There was so much to take in, and the tour was a great way to experience some of Bangkok’s most famous attractions. The Grand Palace was especially impressive, and the temples were just as beautiful. We took so many pictures, but honestly, pictures don’t do these places justice! If you’re visiting Bangkok for the first time, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a fantastic combination of history, culture, and sightseeing, and an experience you won’t want to miss!
Excellent tour, and Ken, our guide, was fantastic. Provided great history and insights and was very engaging. He made sure we were well hydrated and had pre determined spots with air.conditioning. Very safe tour. Tour start point is directly at the ferry pier, if your map app takes you anywhere else it is incorrect.
Ken was an excellent guide! Friendly, informative, well organized and kind. Appreciated the opportunity to see four important sights.
Ken was a great guide!! Lots of interesting info. Beautiful place. Excellent experience.
Ken was a great guide! Very informative and helpful!
Paula was a great guide however communication with tour provider was not so good, instructions on where to meet were not clear and our driver dropped us on the street with no indication of where to meet the guide. The tour was VERY long with no water or bathroom breaks. And, we had to take a bus and boat to different locations with the fares not included in the price of the tour. We did not have bht in cash and it was problematic. After the first 2 temples our entire group decided to end the tour. It had nothing to do with Paula, she was great. The tour was poorly organized and should not have begun at 11:30pm with no breaks for food or water.
It was great. Paula is very knowledgeable and funny…
I had an amazing time. The tour was excellent.I would recommend this tour guide to anyone. She explained every monument we visited. She's like a walking talking dictionary.
Excellent guide called Won, she was very knowledgeable on the history. Great transfer to and from the experience. So loved the Golden Palace and Sleeping Buddha.
Paula was a knowledgeable tour guide who took good care of our group! She was a great photographer and told us all about the multi-cultural architecture of Bangkok's most famous temples. It was very hot, but we were provided with plenty of water for the journey. We also had enough time at each stop to appreciate the beauty and pay our respects.
Nicky was a great and energetic guide! She was excited to tell us about the places we saw and offered to take photos of us. This tour highlighted some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I recommend this tour because you get to see three great places without the worry of figuring out how to get from place to place.
The tour company did not clearly communicate tour meet up instructions, causing unnecessary stress. This tour covers a lot of ground in aggressive heat, more consideration for the guest’s wellbeing is needed (more cold water supplied, planned fan or AC breaks). The temples are stunning, just don’t see them on a tour with this company.
Ken was so informative and lovely! The temples were amazing, one of the highlights of our trip! Would recommend.
Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide , bit rushed especially as the time start changed (unavoidably )to 2.46pm Would have been good to be advised to wear clothes that cover the knees and shoulders and therefore had to buy clothes before we started
Oil best guide !!!! Very nice and very clear
It was a good bit of fast walking, but us, at 75, kept up well enough. Our guide, Nicki, did a great job of explaining so many things with which we were unfamiliar. Great cultural and educational experience. The only downside was that we came in via cruise ship, which is a two and a half hour cab ride. However, Viator worked with our cab driver and we made it to and from the meeting place with no problems. Great experience.
Pick up from and back to hotel was smooth. Meeting with guide at the assembly point was on time. Guide is fluent in English and answers questions and was knowledgeable. As a solo traveler I didn’t find myself alienated from the group, as guide was keeping an eye on everyone and group them together. All places on the program were visited. Generally speaking I liked this trip a lot.
The pickup process was smooth with the Company providing regular updates prior to pickup. All admission fees were taken care as paid for. The duration is appropriate for family with children. A special shout out to Ken our guide who has a good knowledge of the Kingdome and communicated well.
Very good experience guid was very knowledgeable
Ken was amazing! Very attentive and informative!
Good tour guide, speak English good and very nice person
We really love how Paula guide us in our tour. Very informative and easy to communicate with. I really recommend her 🥰
Ken was amazing! Informative, kind, and engaging. Definitely worth it!
A lovely tour. I had a small group so it was more personal and we finished early too.
Paula was great very knowledgeable
Paula was very friendly ! The best guide in town
The staff did not accept the viator barcode and forced us to pay their fee. Refund requested. You are better off getting your ticket from the venue.
Guide took us around, explained some of the history, covered a lot of the grounds. Exactly what I wanted.
Paula gave us a very enjoyable 4 hour tour
