Make sure you are aware of the clothing guides for the Grand Palace as it is more strict than other temples. Plan for heat and humidity. It seems Viator changed our itinerary as our tour was much longer, had a lunch stop and visited sights that were not on the itinerary we signed up for.

Kuang was an exceptional guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and did a wonderful job explaining the history, architecture, and cultural significance of the temples. His insights really added to the experience and made the tour much more meaningful. Be prepared for quite a bit of walking, often in the heat. The tour can be more physically demanding than you might expect. An older couple in our group actually had to leave midway through. Comfortable, lightweight clothing, good walking shoes, and plenty of water are a must. My wife enjoyed the tour more than I did, but she particularly loves these types of cultural and historical experiences. Overall, it was a very worthwhile tour, especially if you’re interested in learning more about Thailand’s history and culture. Kuang certainly made it a memorable experience!
Mina our guide was awesome! She helped us navigate the logistics of seeing all of these structures/temples/sites which really allowed us to just enjoy what we were seeing without worries. The grand palace and temples are crowded, it’s Bangkok, everywhere is crowded. Don’t let that deter you from seeing these amazing sites! Well worth our time.
Your was great, Mia is the best she is super friendly, acknowledgeable. Would do any Bangkok city tour with her again. Great to have the tour with all tickets included made the tour smooth.
Our guide was excellent. Knowledgeable, helpful, and well organized. He gave enough time everywhere. He looked out for everyone and made sure we were all accounted for. He had a voice box to amplify what he was saying.
Excellent tour with outstanding and knowledgeable guide!!!
Our guide Mr Kwong was great. Excellent job and English too. He gave us much background and information. He informed us about the schedule and trip. Its a Saturday we had a very small group but it didn't disappoint. The half day earlier start - iteniary was perfect for our more mature aged group. The hot temps walking in mid October can be intense. I would absolutely recommend this tour. We rode a ferry boat, a bus and a tuk-tuc on the tour. There was a few WC with AC at the temple locations so we took advantage of it.
Guide was well informed, and very entertaining.
It was great, but I wish the other couple would have stop complaining about the heat and being tired.
Great tour, extremely knowledgeable guy. He took so many photos of us which are memories for a lifetime. Knows all the angles and the phone tricks. Expect 10k steps of walking but definitely worth it. A good breakfast would definitely help.
The constant in this tour is, you will always see the same attractions. The variable which can make or break the experience is the tour guide. We had a fantastic one. Johny from Yo Hoo. Knowledgeable, personable, impressive English vocabulary and passionate about his job. Well done Johny. You made our day!
Good overview of the 3 main sites in Bangkok by Ha. Good presentation of each one. The group was very large but she did a great job of keeping everyone organized as well as handling individual questions. Guide was a big help in what we could do after the tour. There were big crowds at each location. Tour was to start at 10 but required to check-in early. Had to wait until 10:30 to get ferry. Overall, great tour to cover main sites to see in Bangkok
My mom and I were alone with the tour guide. It was like a private tour. We really liked. The tour guide was very kind. She told us a lot of interesting stories.
John was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable, and he made the tour so much fun.
This tour was an amazing introduction to some of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks! We visited the Grand Palace and several stunning temples, and every stop was well worth it. The transportation between locations was seamless, and it was fun getting around by boat and local bus! Our guide (Kiwi) was knowledgeable, organized, and incredibly friendly, sharing fascinating history and local insights throughout the day while keeping everything running smoothly. I also loved that all of the entrance fees were included, so we could skip the hassle of buying tickets and spend more time enjoying the sights! Highly recommend this tour if you want to see a lot in one day without feeling rushed. Just make sure to bring lots of water, fans, and a cooling neck scarf because it was a LOT of walking in really hot and humid weather! :)
A comprehensive walk through the Grand Palace and the other temples was very informative. Pom was a great guide, giving us lots of information about the various sites.
The meeting point was easy to find and the tour guide was amazing. She was efficient, full of knowledge and very helpful. She was proud of her culture and we were in awe of what we saw. Pictures don do it justice like seeing for yourself.
Check-in times should be adjusted. Advised to arrive at 7:00 AM only to then be advised regular timetable ferry not scheduled until 8am
Good day,Tour guide-(Kamonnate Ohhoo) was very informal & always willing take pics of couple for them, was not able to visit Grande Palace of Princess Passing,so was promised rebursment 1000 Baht, still waiting that,5 days now...
First of all,our guide was solid and very knowledgeable,so this isn't a knock on her at all.My disappointment is with the tour company not giving us a chance to either cancel or reschedule due to the Palace being closed, which is completely understandable. The tour company should have contacted us and informed us of the situation. That was very disappointing. With that being said, the rest of the tour was great, the sites were amazing and I still had a great time.Im feel very sad for the loss of the Royal family,so I understand why the Palace was closed as it should be.
Kiwi was an excellent guide. She was very informative on all the temples and about all thing Bangkok outside of the tour. It was hot and humid but not unbearable.
This is a great your for first timers to Thailand to learn about the traditions and experience the tourists spots safely.
First of all they advised us to be there 30 mins prior to to our tour so arrived at 9.30am. They took us inside the building and guide explained programme for the day after he finished we told him our tour was not 5 hours long, it did not include a ferry ride or a tuk tuk ride, it did not include the Floating Markets and finished at a different finining point to his instructions so they put us on the wrong tour and our tour was meant to be 3 hours long. We asked him to go back outside to original meeting point and find out about our tour.. he came back 20 minutes later and just said we had to do this tour and finish in War Arun and make our own way back to original finish point. We finished at Wat Pho as it was 1.30pm and did not have rime to complete Wat Arun as it was 1.40pm and we had been going from 10am some 3 hours & 40 minutes later and still was not ar Wat Arun!,,,
Pom is absolutely fantastic! Super knowledgeable and easily ushered us between each point. In addition to walking, you will take a boat and a tuktuk as well. Even though the tour says it starts at 10.. we had to wait for the boat so we didn’t get started until 1030 or so. I would say plan loosely as the tour doesn’t end until 230 or so. There is NO food so bring snacks if you think you’ll get hungry. I was starving by the end. Be prepared for a bit of waiting when going to the temples.. lots of people in the group didn’t buy their tickets ahead of time so we had to wait for them to purchase tickets. It is INSANELY HOT. There are a couple of moments to use the bathroom and take small AC breaks but bring a fan, umbrella, and towel for sweat. IT IS SOOO HOT! Lastly, dress appropriately!!! We had to wait for people to buy tee shirts and pants because they didn’t read the temple entrance instructions. Bring socks if you plan to wear sandals because you have to take your shoes off in the temples. Super knowledgeable tour and would highly recommend.
Kiwi did a great job of leading the tour despite the incredibly humid and hot day. She was very knowledgeable about the area and did her best to find cool areas for us to rest. The Grand Palace and Temples are truly a site to be seen.
This was an excellent tour covering the grand palace, the main temples, and the flower market. all spectular. Transport between sites was very well organised, with no wasted time hanging around and we got travel by boat, Tuk Tuk and local bus :-) Our guide Sonny was friendly and very helpful and was full of knowledge of the sites we visited. He was very well organised. We picked this beacuse all entrance fees were covered and there wer no admission delays or long queues
Good experience. Very informative. Oh-hoo was very good tour guild with lots of knowledge. Enjoyed this tour
Kiwi was amazing. we Loved her. She was funny, knowledgeable and very entertaining.
Great selection of temples, moved seamlessly from one to the next, however for the price, I would have liked more information and a bit of a more experienced guide. And lunch.
Very nice and comprehensive visit of the main temples of bangkok- an excellent way to see some really impressive architecture !
You get to see the main temples and the Grand Palace. We were able to be blessed by a monk. I also recommend taking a tour to see the local smaller Buddhist temples….. different experience. Our guide Aor was excellent and knowledgeable guide. She provided historical facts and helped guide us with directions after the completion of the tour.
Pom was a very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. Good coverage of important temples and other cultural areas. Fun taking Tuk Tuk and cruising river to get from place to place efficiently. Tour operator changed our time at last minute, which was unfortunate but we had enough time to make connection
Great tour of the Old City, was a hot day, but a great tour by Kwong.
Sunny was a very knowledgeable tour guide. He made our tour enjoyable and is very funny! Highly recommend this tour
Great experience! Aor was a fabulous guide - full of more information than we knew possible! The tour included more than we thought it would, too!
Extensive tour which was demanding in the heat for 4 seniors 65+. Knew their would be a lot of walking but limited shade during that time. Guide was very knowledgeable but keep repeating information over and over. Many beautiful sights seen . Major disappointment was tour did not end at point specified in the itinerary (Old Thai Heng Hotel). Tour finished at "the Flower Market" which was nowhere near the supposed end. As we has booked a subsequent appointment within 100m of the supposed end the caused us considerable inconvenience.......
The tour was great! It covered several key sites and our guide (Kwang) was very knowledgeable and kind. He was also a pro at taking pictures! To get around, we used the ferry, tuk tuks and, of course, there was a lot of walking! It was extremely hot and humid outside (April), but we did have opportunities to get drinking water and take breaks, although we would have liked more. It was quite an undertaking, so be prepared beforehand with a hat, fan and lots of sunscreen and water!
Great experience even if it was so hot. Enjoy the tour. Sunny was a good tour guide. Ask for him when you gook this tour.
It is difficult to explain just how peaceful the temples are in this area. The care that is given to the gardens and the upkeep is amazing. The palace grounds are impressive and really indicate how important the monarchy is in the country. Don’t come to Bangkok and not visit this area. If you do, you will have cheated yourself out of a life-changing experience.
Travel guide Mila was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time and patience to answer questions. She was very personable. The tour was very nice, not too rushed either.
Great guide, very informative and engaging. Made sure group stayed together, gave free time for personal exploring. Enjoyed the various methods of travel.
Mina was awesome with the history! Well run tour, she kept things flowing. Great sense of humor. Must do in Thailand. Great way to start the trip as a solo traveler would’ve taken awhile to figure things out. This way you just show up and all the passes were done. Didn’t feel rushed.
Great fun. Many components. Very educational. Using the river boat and tuk tuks made it even more fun. Kiwi was a great guide
Excellent tour. Well worth it. Great guide and interesting visits to Grand Palace and several beautiful temples.
The tour guide is a hit or a miss, the access to the location was fine. Our tour guide kiwi spoke okay English, but didn’t get into many details of the kings and generations. I felt like in gut more information walking past other tour guides.
It is a little confusing to locate the starting spot. You start the tour on a ferry boat , so if you are near the water, keep asking around and you'll find it. The Palace is soooo amazing, but I must admit the emerald buddha is a little disappointing and it is in a temple, so you can't get very close. This is a great tour , but there are about 20 people in this tour.
We got to experience the most amazing tour, visiting the Grand Palace and the amazing temples. Kwan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and funny. He looked after all of us and kept the tour running smoothly. An amazing experience!
We did see the three temples. Our tour guide, sumy, gave us a lot of historical information about each temples. He also gave time so we could take pictures. Maybe a little less time spend on providing historical details on the temples would have meant that we would end the tour a little earlier. It was very hot in the afternoon. Transportation from temple to temple was excellent. It was a good and well organised walking tour.
Amy, our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. She explained each attraction before we separated to explore on our own. Pros: She stopped at an affordable shop for guests to buy proper attire. She was visible and easy to find. She gave clear instructions She reminded of bathroom & refreshment/ water locations. She made a good dinner recommendation at drop off location. Recommendations: take tour in the AM. Wear a hat & carry an umbrella to shield the sun.
We met our guide, Mr.Chang in River City. We caught a taxi from our hotel to where the tour started. Mr. Chang was very knowledgeable about Thai history and explaining the influences various kings had had on the temples we were about to visit. The visit itself was amazing as we saw the Grand Palace and three temples. We went inside each temple and Mr. Chang guided us and explained everything to us really well. It was super crowded but Mr.Chang made sure we were all safe and no one got lost. We took ferry rides to travel to the temples which added to the experience. We walked through the flower market which was lovely to see the amazing flowers and especially the colourful orchids. Mr Chang even helped us to get back to our hotel by talking to a driver and bartering him down by 100 bhats. This trip is a must if you are coming to Bangkok.
