Our tour was fantastic from start to finish. “Ice” was the best. So knowledgeable and nothing too much trouble. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent English. Loved the temples, palaces & long boat tour. Ice took us to an amazing, local Thai restaurant for lunch. Gorgeous food and so cheap! Would highly recommend and would give Ice 20 stars if we could!!!

Itinerary
The Grand Palace served as the royal residence for the Kings of Thailand during the Rattanakosin period, spanning from the reign of King Rama I (King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke the Great) to King Rama V (King Chulalongkorn). Situated in the Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang Subdistrict of Phra Nakhon District in Bangkok, this historic palace, though no longer the residence of the monarchy, remains a vital site for significant royal ceremonies held annually. Today, the Grand Palace stands as Thailand's most visited and beloved tourist attraction.
The Emerald Buddha, a revered national treasure, is meticulously carved from a block of jasper. Depicted in a meditative pose, this statue is enshrined on a high, tiered base within an altar of gilded wood, designed to symbolize the Busabok aerial chariot of heavenly beings. Its rich green color has earned it the name "Emerald Buddha." The statue, including its base, measures 66 cm in height and 48.3 cm in width from knee to knee. It is believed to be the craftsmanship of northern Thailand, dating back to the 15th century.
Wat Pho (the Temple of Reclining Buddha) is attracting more visitors as a result of its registration with the UNESCO as one of the “Memory of the World”. Wat Pho is well known for its gold-leaf covered “the Reclining Buddha Image”, the gigantic statue with 46 meters in length and 15 meters in height. Moreover, the feet of the Reclining Buddha Image are beautifully inlaid with mother-of-pearl carved with holy signs.
The Maharaj (or the Maharaj Pier), situated along the Chao Phraya River, offers picturesque views of the river and historic architecture. Dining here provides a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful waterway scenery. The pier hosts a variety of restaurants and food stalls, offering a wide range of Thai and international cuisines, including traditional Thai dishes, fresh seafood, and Western food. Eating at Maharaj Pier immerses tourists in the local culture, allowing them to observe bustling boat traffic and interactions between local vendors and residents.
Wat Arun, a prominent landmark situated along the Chao Phraya River, features a stunning pagoda that rises approximately 280 feet into the sky. This magnificent temple captivates visitors both day and night. Stroll around the temple grounds and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Chao Phraya River from the top of the Prang.
The main bridge connecting Thonburi to the city provides breathtaking views of the Chao Phraya River on both sides. With walkways on either side of the bridge, it becomes a popular spot in the late afternoon for people to exercise, take in the scenery, or capture photos.
The Bang Luang Canal Community is a historic neighborhood located near the Bang Phai BTS station, nestled along the Bangkok Yai Canal. This canal, once a crucial waterway, branches off from the Chao Phraya River near Wichai Prasit Fort and extends to the Mon Canal, opposite the mouth of the Chak Phra Canal. A key attraction in the community is the 'Artist's House, Bang Luang Canal.' This unique structure is a two-story wooden L-shaped building in the Manila style, constructed around an ancient twelve-angled chedi. The chedi is thought to be one of the four that delineate the boundaries of a nearby temple.
Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, located in Thonburi and surrounded by canals including Bangkok Yai, Khlong Dan, Khlong Phasi Charoen, and smaller waterways, is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period. During the reign of King Rama VI, the temple fell into significant disrepair. In response, the Sangha appointed Phra Mongkol Thepmuni (Sodh Candasaro), also known as "Luang Pu Sodh," who was then at Wat Pho, to lead Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen in 1916. Since then, the temple has become a vital spiritual center for Buddhists. Beyond its monastic areas, the temple boasts notable architecture and attractions, such as the Phra Maha Chedi Maha Ratchamongkol, the Tripitaka Hall, garden relaxation areas, riverside zones, and spots for feeding birds and fish.

Thank you for this spectacular day in Bangkok. Lin made it very special and customized to my needs and desires. We started with the incredible palace and then went on to see some magical temples and rounded it up with a visit in Chinatown. I would have loved to have more time to explore Bangkok, but this was all we could fit in in those few hours that I've had here. Definitely recommending Lin to anybody who plans to come. Lin is a great tour guide who is there to help in whatever way you need.
Very nice tour of some of the best temples of Bangkok. Learned a lot about the history of the country and the Monarchy. Highly recommended
Thai Guide Lin and our driver Kevin were exceptional. We had an amazing day visiting Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, finished off by a refreshing canal boat ride to see the Big Buddha. Lin was a fantastic Guide, very knowledgeable, helpful and great fun, all seven of us had a great day out.
Our tour guide Pook was the best we could have asked for. We started our tour at 7am to do as much as we can for the 1 day we were in Bangkok. She spoke English very well and gave us so much information on the temples. She was our personal photographer as well. She took us to go and eat at a local restaurant which was delicious. We saw so much in one day thanks to Pook.
As we only had one day in Bangkok we decided on this tour so that we could see as much of the city as possible - this tour seemed ideal . We loved seeing the Royal Palace, Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Zip zip zip through each of these - not really very much time anywhere but obviously we expected that as we had a lot to cover ! Then after three hours we were told that the tour was over ! No lunch in the bustling street (which we fully expected to pay for but were looking forward to being guided) and no trip over the bridge. We were delighted we had not paid for the luxury tour as we were only on our taxi for ten minutes in total. For me this was an expensive tour - but I paid it so that we could get as much out of Bangkok as possible - while we really enjoyed what we did, it certainly was not 7 hours approx - and it did not feel very good value for my very hard earned money.
We had a fantastic private tour with the superb and generous Ice and the lovely driver Mr Thomas. Ice was very patient with me amd my injured knee. He made extra stops along the route to answer questions for me. I really recommend this trip, 4 hours was just the right amount of time for us. Thank you Ice, I hope to see you again.
Our guide Lin was amazing. She was more than a guide she was an advocate. She made sure nobody messed with us. She cleared the path before us metaphorically and literally. She would say “Thia price” whenever we bought something and the price would immediately drop by 25%. She is knowledgeable and acts more like your friend, who you can call on even after the trip for help. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had family in country. We confidently recommend Lin and her company to our network.
Everything was awesome!! Lin and Kevin were amazing, we had a lot of fun and experienced Thailand in exotic way. I would recommend Lin to my friends and family.
Lin, Boon, and Kevin were amazing guides - very detailed and friendly.Lin went out of her way to take so many cool photos of us and made the entire trip smooth from pick up to drop off and provided us fruit, cold water, and free coconut water! She also gave us tips for bargaining at the markets and it was clear she was doing 175% more than the other guides and companies at the floating market and railway market. Truly could not recommend a better company.
Amazing hospitality, great people that were friendly and felt very safe even as a group of all girls! Easy to understand her basic English! A great mix of history, cultural, and humor!
Lin, Kevin and Boon were amazing! So nice and knowledgeable. Coconut farm and floating market was so much fun. Definitely chose them!
Lin, was an amazing host and photographer for my wife and I. Her English was spot on and like all Thai people she is extremely friendly. We went to the salt farm and hopped the train to the market. Then, we went to coconut farm and floating market for a wild ride through the canals. Finished the excursion with a delicious Thai meal and would highly recommend her. Thanks, Lin
We had a wonderful time with Lin. She was very informative and she knew exactly where and what we needed to do around each location. English was great! The long boat tour was awesome!! Such an At tour with her!
Guide Lin and Kevin our driver were so nice and gave us all the information about the markets and their history. Lin was so amazing about taking the best pictures for us and she knew all the right poses! Great english. The drive was quick and comfortable and they were able to accommodate a later pick up time.
Our Railway and Floating Market Tour was amazing. Lin was the perfect guide for us- she made sure to pay attention to every detail so that we did not have to worry about a thing. We also had a chance to learn how Thai salt and coconut sugar are made and were able to drink the freshest and most delicious coconut water we’ve ever tasted. Lin was also our professional photographer and we were so impressed with the photos and videos she took of us during our experience, images that we would not have been able to capture on our own. Our driver, Kevin, was so patient and kind. He provided water for us and made sure that our ride was a comfortable one. He even took our bags to the car for us so we did not have to carry them around. We had so much fun and will cherish the memories that Lin and Kevin helped us create and could not have asked for a better experience!
This tour was absolutely fabulous!!! Far more than I ever expected and hoped for!!! Tour Guide Lin and Driver Kevin were so knowledgeable, fun, helpful, courteous, aware of our safety and convenience regarding all our belongings. Tour Lin's English was good and tour itself was so enjoyable and informational. Amazing & fun photo ops & videos that Lin herself took, not to mention the timing of getting from place to place and enjoyment of activity was excellent.
Had a great time on this tour with tour guide Nina, grab yourself some coconut treats, they're delicious, the railway markets and the train is surreal and if you like art I suggest checking out the studio at the floating markets.
