About Activity
This tour by the Grand Pearl Cruise boat introduces us to Ayutthaya’s rich historical and architectural heritage. This former capital of Thailand is situated 90 kilometres north of Bangkok and was once a buzzing international trading port on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Our first stop is at Bang Pa-In Summer Palace which represents a fine example of Thai and European architecture, before heading on to World Heritage listed Ayutthaya which contains the ruins of palaces, temples and shrines. We then return to Bangkok aboard the luxurious vessel along the Chao Phraya River with a buffet lunch served as we cruise down the river past picturesque rural scenery.
