It was a very enjoyable day. Our driver was excellent, a very safe driver! Our tour guide was friendly and his English was good. We did everything on the itinerary and there was plenty of time for each spot. The only thing that I would say was a little questionable was we were taken to a beautiful floating restaurant for lunch and told what we would be ordering. If we are paying for our own lunch we should be selecting off the entire menu for ourselves. Because of this, we thought lunch was therefore included so when we were handed the bill for not only our lunch but the tour guides as well it was a bit of a shock. Nowhere does it say you are expected to pay for your tour guides lunch. Do if you're doing a private tour please know this is how it may work. It was an expensive tour at 11400bht but a full day

Full day of sightseeing and learning about Thailand’s rich history. Army was an incredible guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was well taken care of throughout the trip. The itinerary was well-paced with plenty to see and do. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangkok!
This whole day trip for just my wife and I was well worth it. Early start 7am, luxury transport, safely driven by Mr. Kai, with Army, a very informed guide who also had a good sense of humour. The floating market was great, walking the bridge over the river, the train journey and other experiences just made the whole day fly in. Army took photographs and shared them with us. He clearly knew the best photographic spots. Definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful private day tour to train, floating market and River Kwai. Army our guide was fabulous explaining everything. We felt very safe with our driver Kai. It was a long day but we'll worth it
This was one of the best tours we have been on in Thailand, our guide for the day was Army, who I would highly recommend for this tour, he was very informative, kept us safe and knew all the best places to view all the attractions ,we never had to queue as Army seemed to know how to walk us straight into the heart of the action! The Railway Market needs to be seen to be believed as the train passes so close to market traders and tourist we also visited the bigger market behind the railway market, Army purchased snacks which we enjoyed. The Floating Market is an unforgettable experience, soaking up the atmosphere of the traders as they go about their daily business on the canal, I would definitely recommend the coconut ice cream delicious! When buying souvenirs don’t forget to haggle your price! Bridge over the River Kwai and the ride on the death Railway looking back at how history unfolded during the 2nd world war was emotional along with the visit to the war graves, Army was well informed and we had plenty of time to take everything in. We enjoyed our Lunch in a lovely floating restaurant with great views of the Bridge,
Our Guide Army was just incredible. He told all the stories behind Maeklong Railway market, the floating market and the Railway along the River Kwai and the famous Bridge crossing it. The history behind is so touching and the trip by train made you feel the atmosphere. Thank you so much for everything, Army.
Army is a very knowledgeable tour guide that understands and speaks English real well. Our driver Vee was amazing, getting us to places planned and pickup as smooth as one can be. Army helped us see a different dimension of the market and I would recommend those two to anyone looking for a tour in Bangkok
A wonderful day spent touring historical & beautiful landmarks.Abybtesthtaking! Kim was such a great guide. Very informative & just lovely to spend the day with. I would definitely recommend this tour.
My family and I had an amazing floating market tour along with the train stop. I would like to thank NOK our tour guide for such an awesome time. Also, thanks to our driver O for driving us around safely. We really enjoyed our day!
Army is an amazing host. He is so knowledgeable and it shows how much effort and time he's spent on his studies to become an amazing guide. We had such amazing stories to learn about and the history of this beautiful country. Army and our driver Non, you both are world class, 5-5 stars! We would recommend your services any day! Next time we're in Bangkok, I will certainly reach out to you!! Thank you for an unforgettable and amazing full day. And thank you both for our lovely memories. Tracy and Achmed
We had a fantastic day with our tour guide Gwen and driver O. The whole day was well organized, well timed, and ran perfectly smooth! Gwen did a great job showing us the sites and describing the history of what we were seeing, and even provided some street food tastings and recommendations along the way! O’s car was clean and comfortable, and he even tidied up while we were at stops sightseeing. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
This was an excellent tour. We would never had been able to do all this in a day by ourselves. Gwen our tour guide was excellent so, knowledgeable and friendly, encouraging us to try local foods, explaining local customs and taking time to explain some of the sites we had seen in the day prior to our tour, nothing was too much trouble. Non our driver was polite, always met us on time and supplied constant cold water for refreshments. This is a full day tour, but well worth it. To see the Bridge over the river Kwai / death railway. The original floating market and the railway market in one trip wow.
What a day! We had such an incredible tour with Kim. It was more than we could have imagined. Her friendly and welcoming energy, the knowledge she shared about the culture, and the yummy food we shared made for an unforgettable day. We will tell everyone we know to go visit Kim if they come to Bangkok! Thank you, Kim - you made our vacation amazing and we will never forget you and your sabai sabai message.
Highly recommend this trip..our guide “Army” & his driver Chet were superb through out. Army was exceptional with his knowledge of everywhere we went, Railway Market, Floating Market, War Graves & lunch at the Bridge over the River Kwai before a trip on the Death Railway in the afternoon. All these places are unforgettable & not to be missed. Army then sent us some pictures at the end. Some we had posed for & others he took whilst we were busy with other things …that was a great gesture..thanks again Army & Chet for all your driving .
Cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Army was well informed and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a great day, including taking pictures of us throughout the day which he later sent. Our driver Chet was patient and on hand with cool flannel and air conditioned car when needed.
Army (guide) and Kong (driver) gave us a terrific 13 hour tour that included a boat ride, a train ride, a floating market, the famous wet market on the railroad tracks that folds up. Army was a watchful guide keeping us safe. And he suprised us with a set of 26 amazing high quality photos of us throughout the day. He shared stories of his own family and life in Thailand, which enriched the tour. He is knowledgeable and a pleasure. Highly recommended! I have a deeper understanding of the Dealth Railway, I have to watch ' The Bridge Over The River Kwai."
The Pickup at the Hotel was very good, the car was spacious and comfortable perfect for the long day. Ur guide Robbie was very nice, friendly and spoke very good english. He answered all of our questions and told us a lot about the history of the different spots we visted. Our highlight was definitely the Deathrailway, with walking over the traintrack, the stunning view and the train ride over it. We had enough time to get a good view on every station we visted through the day. Thank you Robbie for the amazing tour and day would definitely recommend it.
We had the most amazing tour with our guide Army. Everything happened according to schedule, our transport van was very comfortable and Army spoiled us with lots of local treats during our tour. He knows the place very well and we learned a lot about local history. Plus, he is a great photographer. I highly recommend taking a day for this tour if you’re visiting Bangkok.
We had a great day with our Tourguide Gwen and her private driver Ched. She had a big knowlege about the history and you can feel that she works with her heart! Thanks for the unforgetable day. We would book again.
Gwen and Nond were amazing! Gwen our guide did a fantastic job on teaching us the history of Thailand and the city of Bangkok. An unforgettable experience!
Harry! Remember that name and ask for him. Punctual, knowledgeable and above all gentle and kind. We enjoyed our day's trip with Harry. Our highlight was the perfect spot he found for us at the railway market. We recommend you go ahead and book this trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city, filled with rich History. And remember to ask for Harry.
We had a perfect day with our tour guide Harry. He was competent, very friendly, always on time, well organized and together with our excellent driver took the greatest care to make it the perfect day for us. We can highly recommend the tour and Harry, our guide.
Brilliant trip and not to be missed if in Kanchburi, The train journey over the bridge and to the end of the line is excellent. Make sure you have a good quide to get the best out of the trip.
Harry, our guide of the day, was knowledgeable and professional to show us around the entire day. Very helpful to our requests and patient to our complaints to the heat. I would recommend Harry to take you around with Mr Off, the most skillful driver.
Amazing tour and experience thanks to our guide Time and our driver Mario! They were super throughout all the day and made us enjoy our day in the best way
Time was an awesome guide, the tour was a mix of history and amazing places! Also Mario (the driver) was kind and polite! Recommended
We spent an amazing day with Time (the guide) and Mario (the driver), everything was perfectly organised and they took care of anything we might need. Highly recommend them if you want to experience a one-day tour around the markets and Kanchanaburi area! Thank you!
I love the floating market ❤ the ice cream was super nice and also i enjoy hearing the story of floating market and kanchanaburi 😍 our guide was miss kim she is very knowledgeable and fun to be with we enjoy having her as tour leader. She even has already become frind witb my lil daughter 😍😍 And also the driver mr. Gai was very kind... he was very nice to us and helpful since we travel with small child ❤ thank you... this will be our unforgettable memory ❤
Amazing day out with Mr Harry and Mr Ping Pong. Friendly, informative and teriffic value. We felt safe and very well taken care of. Harry knew lots of local history and all the good spots to go to. Mr Ping Pong is an excellent dricer. Very professional and highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing! Our Guide Harry was very knowledgeable and our driver Mr Ping Pong was a very safe and good driver. 5 stars for both of them! We explored the canal by boat and the floating markets. Harry took us for the most amazing sticky rice and mango, as well as giving us tips on how to barter at the markets. We felt well taken care of there and there wasn't pressure to buy things we didn't want, with him around. We explored the train markets and Harry had many tricks. Back entrances to skip the lines of people and a pre-organised spot to stand when the train came through. (Google this market and you will see what I mean). We sipped coconut water from freshly cut coconuts as Cinderella (the train) came in, inches from our bodies and felt completely safe. We walked the bridge across the river Kwae and then had lunch in a lovely floating restaurant. We fed a wild monkey community peanuts. We explored the Buddah Cave and learned much of the history of the areas we visited. We did so much in one day but the driving time allowed us relaxation in-between the adventures. The train and boat rides were great and as foreigners to this weather we were thankful for Mr Ping Pong and his air conditioned vehicle waiting for us after each excursion. We had a steady supply of ice water, doors were opened for us and every part of the trip was clearly explained. They even gave us chilled face cloths which were perfect for the trip. Harry was very good with safety, he had good spots for bathroom breaks (clean!) and he was a a very friendly host with good English and a good sense of humor. We will definitely hire them both as a team to Guide us when we return. Thank you Harry and Mr Ping Pong!
WOW! What a fantastic day. What a great experience! We honestly didnt know what to expect on this tour. Its not unheard of, to not quite get what you pay for or expect, considering when the booking is made & paid for on blind trust. But I have to say, there's absolutely no need to have concerns of any type as we immediately were put at ease & felt super comfortable & excited for the day after being greeted by our professional & very friendly, Bangkok born & raised tour guide, Gwen. Jumping aboard Mr Orr's luxurious Limo look & all the trimmings transport that has a roof lining any nightclub would be proud of, we were even more excited, anticipating this tour was going to be something special! And it was! Very special! Gwen shared her immense knowledge of history, culture, traditions, of things modern & new & of everything old & mysterious. An experience in food, people, places, and anything you wanted to know, Gwen had it covered - including organising all the tickets for all activities, making sure we had the best spots everytime for a feed the soul & also that, instagram picture perfect moment! Attentive & genuinely considerate of our needs in a sweltering 43 degrees, we were well & truly cared for all day. Thank you Gwen & Mr Orr, you gifted us a day we will remember for all the best reasons, with great memories to relive & new understandings to talk about for years to come.
A great day trip and one worth doing despite it being a long day. Our guide Gwen was lovely, very informative and a pleasure to be with. Both she and our driver Mr O were professional but very easy going. Our day started with a stop off at the Maeklong railway market. What an experience, definitely worth seeing! Next stop was a boat ride through the floating markets at Damnoan Saduak, Charoen Sukkho, and Khut Lat Ratchaburi. It was lovely hearing from Gwen about the history of the markets and about Thai culture. We then visited the war cemetery at Kanchanaburi. Paying our respects to the allied soldiers and local civilians who died building the Death Railway whilst under captivity of the Japanese in WW2. Our next stop was lunch at a floating Thai restaurant overlooking the infamous bridge over the river Kwai. Gwen made some helpful suggestions for lunch based on our personal preferences. Food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. After lunch we walked across the bridge to the other side of the river. It was quite emotional seeing the remains of a Japanese POW camp where the ill fated prisoners were held whilst building the railway. Our final stop was a short journey on the death railway. One of the most scenic parts of the railway as it runs past the river, but also an area where reality hits home about the challenges those building the railway Gwen was always at hand explaining the history and cultural parts of our journey, as well as always making the most of photo opportunities. It was a pleasure spending the day with her knowledge and experience, and in the capable hands of Mr O and his driving.
A day packed with amazing experiences with a great guide - Lucky. The railway market was super exciting - unbelievable how it all operates. The floating market was bustling and busy on the water. Lots of choice for lunch here. Then onto a sobering stop at the Commonwealth World War graves in Kanchanaburi. Seeing the Bridge over the River Kwai was a reminder of the hardship and many lives lost. Private travel in a Mitsubishi SUV made the long distances travelled very comfortable.
We had an amazing day with Scott and Mr Pong (railway market, floating market and bridge over the river quai/death railway). Scott was very informative and we had a few extra stops that weren't mentioned in the itinerary - we particularly loved feeding the monkeys. Thanks for a great day
Wonderful mix of local culture/experience with history. Our guide,Johnny , was wonderful and engaged with the whole family. He went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable and fun filled day.
5 out of 5! It was such an amazing experience, I took the private tour option, and I would like to give the guys a 10 star review. Lek was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and interesting. She ensured I was in the right places to experience the most from my tour. Really enjoy spending my day with her. I would highly recommend this tour if you have limited time in Bangkok and want to explore a little further a-field.
Perfect tour with our fantastic guide Harry and super driver Mario. I can hardly believe we experienced so much, yet never felt rushed. The tour is a wonderful combination of local Thai life at the train and floating markets, as well as a poignant look into the history of the Death Railway. Riding the train and walking the tracks makes it all come alive. Great day out of Bangkok!
This tour was amazing!!! Our guide Harry and our driver Mario did a fantastic job showing us all interesting places like the train market, the floating market, the death railway and the Kasae cave. We saw all this beautiful places in just one day. Harry told us everything about the history, organized the best table at the floating restaurant and took so many great photos of us so that we can always keep it in our memories. We can highly recommend this tour! This was the best day of our Thailand vacation.
An amazing day out overall. Would highly recommend this day trip from Bangkok. From start to finish everything went so smoothly thanks to our tour guide Harry and our bus driver Mario who appeared in perfect time when each activity was finished. Top class, the tour was a great mixture of culture and fun learning, with our local guide giving us the best experience one could ask for. Well worth the money spent!
Harry, my tour guide, was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. He was extremely helpful and knew the best photo spots! Ping Pong the driver was very kind and funny too! Everything in the tour was included, Harry helped me find great food spots as I’m a vegetarian, we went to the railway market, floating market, the death railway and more! Couldn’t recommend enough, thank you both for a great trip :)
It was a nice and comfortable ride given by our very nice driver ping pong. Our guide Harry is an enthusiastic and funny man. He did a great job bringing us around and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Half day is definitely enough for floating market and the train market. They sell about the same stuff at all markets so nothing too exciting but theres this one noodle boat lady at the original side of the floating market Harry brought us to which was very very good! I guess one thing would be better is that if we can get more historic information on the markets! Overall 5/5!
I had an excellent time on this tour. It was very informative, entertaining and fun. Harry and Mr. Porng were very kind and patient and took great care of me. Harry really knows the history and makes the tour interesting and humorous. The day went by very fast. I had an amazing experience.
Harry and Mario were amazing. Mario was an excellent driver through some bad traffic and super busy stops. Harry is so informative and helpful. Teaches you the language and can answer any question you have for him. He knew all the history about every stop and made sure you weren’t eating something he didn’t trust or paying too much for your souvenirs. He even took group pictures for us throughout the whole trip. Absolutely loved spending our day with Harry! Extra bonus, he’s super funny.
Harry was a great guide for our day out visiting the train market, floating market and Bridge over the River Kwai. Harry had great knowledge, and good humour. He and Mr Chet the driver were flexible and attentive and kept us refreshed and relaxed all day. They made it a great trip and I highly recommend them.
This was the best day ever in the time we had in Thailand. Mr Party was so informative and helpful, but also left us alone enough to do our own thing. He also took lots of photos that we could not take as a group. The market experience with the train was unbelievable and the Bridge on the River Kwai very humbling. The Floating Market and trip on a long tail boat fantastic. Great value for money, lunch included, snacks also – just perfect. Private tour driver Mr Of was a superb chauffeur too!
My husband & I had the best day yesterday with our wonderful guide Pond. Within minutes of meeting him we were completely relaxed and comfortable. He is very friendly, chatty, funny and full of knowledge. Thanks Pond. Our Driver, Kai,was great also. We felt very safe with him in our Luxury vehicle. Thanks Kai The Trip.... It IS a long day (12hrs) but well worth it. The Railway at the markets is amazing..! We arrived on the train, then walked along the track through the markets to a nice little cafe & experienced the train leaving. It’s definitely a tight fit. Driving on to the floating markets gave us a nice rest/refresh in our air conditioned vehicle. On to our private boat that took the scenic route to the markets along canals - great experience, fun and lots of housing to look at. Pond took us to eat some delicious noodles/ coconut ice cream & free time to browse the markets. It was interesting to stand & watch the canals. Then onto Bridge on River Kwai ( another chance to rest/refresh in our air conditioned vehicle. Kai gave us water and cool refresher towels) A walk over the bridge, bit of history, many photos and buffet lunch on a floating pontoon at the rivers edge. A walk over the railway viaduct. Bit scarey for me at first, but Pond and my husband looked after me & I did it. Thanks guys. We hopped on the train back a few stops to Kai waiting with water/more cool refresher towels. A couple of hours drive back to our hotel in Bangkok.( bit of a sleep on the way back lol) We would not hesitate to recommend this Company. I hope your experiences are just as good.
Lovely visit. Excellent guide and driver and very professional both. I will recomend your tour to everyone. Many thanks!
If you want to exp something different in Thailand, vs the typical temple visits, palace tours, bargain shoppings, or beaches, here is another way to explore Thailand. We went to South West and north west of Thailand (about 2-3 hours driving from Bangkok, depends on traffic), far enough to exp diff side of Thailand, but close enough that you can do it in 1 day. Pro: 1) this tour is very clever, each train was a max of 30min so you don't get bored but still long enough to get a taste of what the locals do while taking the train. 2) including snacks which allowed us to experiment since we don't necessarily know which stalls have the best snack and what to try (diff from Bangkok), it was clever the tour included snacks, and we can just pick and choose 3) each highlight requires some walking but not super long where it became arduous, it was actually quite fun 4) instead of going through the most congested floating market section where a tour can turn into over 1 hour just sitting on the boat stuck, we got off a bit early but still able to get to the congested area and see what's going on close up 5) private tour is quite nice, I don't know if it is necessary, but perhaps a small tour less than 6 is probably just as good. This is for 1-2 people or however many you have in your own group.
What an amazing trip, we were picked up right on time from our hotel after we received an email confirmation from our tour guide. We had a lovely airconditioned vehicle for our private tour. Our Guide Mr Party, was an excellent host, spoke very good English and his knowledge of the trip was exceptional. Our driver Mr Of, made sure we had safe and comfortable transport. The experience at all stops was more than we could have expected. We stopped at a lovely local restaurant for lunch and refreshments, the staff were all very welcoming. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Bangkok, you would not be disappointed.
Our guide, Party, was very knowledgeable and he and our driver, Chet, looked after us very well throughout the day. We saw some beautiful and poignant sights and would really recommend this trip :)
