Visit Chedi Phukhao Thong: A 50-metre Chedi, or Buddhist tower, in the village of Phukhao Thong near Ayutthaya in central Thailand.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet:. This important and most outstanding monastery is located in grand palace compound used as a residential palace. It become a monastery in the reign of King Ramathibodi I. - Wat Lokaya Sutha: Highlight of the monastery is its 42 meter long Reclining Buddha image, usually draped in orange cloth. Apart from the central prang which is in fairly good condition, little more than the base of the main buildings remains today. - Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit is situated on the south of Wat Prasrisanpetch and is where the bronze Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara is situated. This Buddha image has a lap measurement at 9.55 metres and height at 12.45 metres. This is one of the biggest Buddha image in Thailand.
Visit Wat Mahathat the temple of the famous Tree Buddha 12:00 - Lunch will be provide at restaurant.
13:00 - Visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. The Palace consists of many royal buildings, built in contrasting architectural styles. Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian styles predominate. 18:00 Arrive at Bangkok Hotel.
This trip was a good way to see multiple temples and the summer palace in one day. The vans were comfortable, the amount of time at each temple was appropriate. Our guide was adequate in getting us place to place and taking care of logistics but didn’t give too much information.
If you’re visiting Bangkok, don’t skip this tour. It’s so rich in history and beauty. I’m still thinking about the palace’s gardens.
We covered a lot without feeling rushed. Wat Mahathat and Bang Pa In were the highlights for me. Lovely group and top-notch organization!
