Itinerary
At our office/lounge we have a a small briefing before jumping on our bicycles and start the adventure.
The first part of our journey is on Rama III Road itself where our office/lounge is located but only for a few minutes because the ferryboat to cross the river isn’t far away. While standing on the riverbanks of the Chao Praya River you will be impressed by the many loops that are running in and out the Bhumibol Bridges I & II at 40 meters height.
Lad Pho Pier is located in Samut Prakan province, Thailand. It is a popular tourist attraction known for its picturesque views of the Chao Phraya River. The pier serves as a transportation hub for locals and visitors alike, with boats departing regularly to cross the river.
Bangkrachao is an artificial island in the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It is also known as the "Green Lung of Bangkok" due to its large amount of green space. The island is home to a variety of wildlife, including monitor lizards, and over 60 species of birds. It is also a popular destination for tourists, who come to enjoy the natural beauty and explore the man-made attractions, such as the Bang Krachao Floating Market, the Bang Krachao Bicycle Trail, and the Bang Krachao Tree Park. The island is also home to a number of temples, including Wat Bang Nam Phueng, Wat Bang Nok Kwaek, and Wat Bang Kachao. Bangkrachao is an important part of Bangkok's culture and history, and is a great place to visit for anyone looking to experience the city's unique atmosphere.
Although we absolutely don't stop at every temple we pass by, there are some temples/sights stopping for and not mentioned in the list of "attractions" in the area. We'll stop at a local Hindu statue/temple, have a meal at a local restaurant and much much more. Let us surprise you
Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden is located in Bang Kachao Sub-District, Samut Prakan Province with an area over 200 Rai. This place was established for being the source production of fresh air, the public park for relaxing and exercising for the people. Also, it is a place for ecosystem education on plant species and animals both local and within nearby area. Therefore, it compares as one of an oasis for the city people who want to experience nature, the local way of life and escaping Bangkok’s chaos. The garden’s characteristic is a combination of public parks that the landscape has been arranged beautifully. It consists of aquatic plants, local plants that are able to grow within brackish water and preserve the original agricultural garden which was the original fruit garden. This park and botanical garden is a Greenfield that the government declared to be “the lungs of Bangkok.” A wooden bridge is for visitors to stroll on peaceful and shady area, including the 7 meters high tower view that can capture the whole scenery of this area. Other than the botanic garden, there is so Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market which opens every Saturday and Sunday (we visit this on our Weekend edition).

What a wonderful way of discovering parts of Bangkok. So special to see that the city has so much more to offer, even green area's. Wonderful nature, and lush places. On top of that: being lead by such a knowledgeable tour guide makes it an unforgettable experience.
Fun experience. More safety instruction before we start would have been helpful. Example: how to manage tight turns on narrow cement trails
great experience out of busy BKK great Guide, that took all time.our group needed helpfull, great english, and great teacher of Thai Culture next time i am in BKK i go again Joris from NL
We have been in Bangkok many times and wanted a more off the beaten track tour. You bike 4,5 hours through the jungle and have several stops on the way to see temples, learn about thai culture, thai boxing and other things along the way. The tour ends with a nice small lunch at the white elephant. We really had a great tour with Alexander. He is very knowledable, funny, passionate and a good storyteller. Thailand Biking has several biking tours and we pickled this tour because you bike less in a lot of traffic - most of the time you bike in areas with no traffic in the green lung of Bangkok. We only met a few other tourist bikers on this tour.
I had visited Bangkok before and wanted to explore more—and this tour absolutely delivered! It was such a pleasant experience, offering a glimpse of a quieter, greener side of Bangkok. I joined the morning tour, which turned out to be a good choice that day, since the sunniest stretch is at the beginning. Cycling around the island was really nice, I think it's the best way to discover this area. I fully recommend this tour and our guide, Best, who set the perfect pace throughout the tour, gave us some great tips and shared interesting insights on life in Bangkok and across Thailand.
It was so nice to bike across the Green Lung. The biking is occasionally on a narrow concrete boardwalk and along heavy traffic - if you are at all uncertain on a bike, you may want to ask about the other options. I happily wore a helmet and recommend it. Also I recommend bug spray and sunscreen. My guide, Ken, was informative, nice, and has a fun sense of humor. He was wonderful!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this bike tour. A great way to see a different side to Bangkok. Our guide was very friendly and gave us lots of opportunities to stop and take photos. He also took photos pf us which he shared at the end of the trip. We did the morning session which was not too hot. Highly recommend!
This tour to Bang Krakao is just amazing and so much fun! Our guide Whan was the best. She told is so many interesting things about the places, the culture and the buddhist religion. The kids also absolutely loved it - the best day in Bangkok!
This tour was very eventful and fun, I enjoyed all the stops we made and riding our bicycles throughout the streets. It was definitely a new experience riding our bicycles in sometimes congested streets of Bangkok, but that made the bicycle ride even more exciting! We rode on paths above water with no railings 😅, it was all an experience. Would recommend for people who are experienced bicycle riders, as these paths are not made for beginners, it requires a level of skill that can be dangerous for someone who doesn't know how to ride a bicycle. The guides were fantastic and were very personable and friendly. They were nice and supportive. The only thing I would not do again for this tour would be the temple that enforced only women to cover up when entering. That left a bad feeling for me as most temples require covering up for both men and women. It made me feel uncomfortable and if I had known, I would have waited outside.
The tour is a real treat, a green paradise in Bangkok. Riding with our great, knowledgeable guide Oliver, we discovered small paths, markets, and the beauty of another life.
Did the morning tour with Oliver as our guide. We were lucky to be able to do it on the Buddhist holiday so there was lots going on at the temples.
Loved this. Oliver was a great guide. We got to see a whole different part of Bangkok. Lucky enough to visit the village when they were celebrating end of the rainy season. The locals were amazing and welcomed us to join in. Such a lovely experience.
This is one of the coolest tours I have ever done. Our guide was lovely and full of knowledge. He took us off the beaten path and showed us super local spots. A completely different feel from Bangkok. 10/10
Id been on a city tour last oct. Wanted something different this time. Decided to try the 4 hour bike ride to Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park. Id heard it referred to as the green lungs of Bangkok. With me was a family on holidays from the Netherlands. After riding to a riverboat ferry and crossing over to Bangkrachao we stopped off at a small restaurant for lunch. After that we visited a Buddhist Temple, a Hindu Temple, a Thai boxing school and a bird watching tower. The best bit for me though was riding the elevated walkways through the greenery of the park. (dodging locals on motor bikes) Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us well informed and hydrated along the way. Lots of bottled water stops. Amazing scenery and lots of fun. Would go again.
Our tour guide Kitty was excellent, he led a very safe and informative tour on a hot summers afternoon. The bike tour was superb through the green lung and meander bend on the historic river. We enjoyed the cycle, suitable for all, stopped for some food at the White Elephant. Narrow paths were awesome through the flood plain.
Great tour! Going by bike is the best way to explore! Even in hot weather, the tour is easy to do. We saw a lot and had a nice local lunch. The after movie they send us is a very special souvenir of a great trip!
The bike tour through the green long of Bangkok with guide Lek was amazing! She is so knowlagable and I had the best time Biking with her. I can recommend this tour and Company to anyone!
It was a great tour that provided a totally different view of the city. Our guide was very nice and explained us a lot about the culture and the area.
Fun morning exploring another side of Bangkok. Had a private tour to get off the beaten path. My only suggestion is to offer flat handle bikes. The sit upright, Dutch style cruiser was very hard to control for one who is used to a "traditional" bike.
Such an amazing trip. Our tour guide Alexander was great. Bikes were comfy, everything was organised good. Would definitely recommend when you are in Bangkok!
Excellent afternoon biking tour to a part of Bangkok would never have found. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable. Well. Recommended.
I did the Colors of Bangkok Bicycle ride. To start we were offered a choice of bikes, either a mountain bike, or what I would call a beach cruiser type bike. I chose the beach cruiser. It was very comfortable and functioned well. Fern was our guide. She provided lots of interesting information along the way. After crossing the Chao Phrya river on a ferry boat, we had stops at both Buddhist and Hindu temples as well as a Muy Thai outdoor training center where we each had a chance to throw a few punches at pads held by the instructor. Our lunch was at an air conditioned restaurant with several menu choices included. Everyone really enjoyed the food there. The ride was pleasant. The pace was slow and the course was flat. Thailand Biking is a great way to explore Thailand!
Really fun, calm and relaxing cycling tour. It was really nice to see a green and quiet part of Bangkok, and to visit temples (and to be explained how to pay respect to the Buddha in the temple), visit a local market and have a small introduction to Thai Boxing. Really friendly guide as well. We went at a really calm pace, so it is not too hot and it should be suitable for almost anyone.
This tour was amazing! We started the tour at the office of Thailand Biking with a warm welcome, the tour guides were introduced and they gave us our bikes. There are multiple types of bikes to choose from and the guides helped to make sure the bike was not too big or too small. At the beginning of the tour you take a ferry to cross the river, this is the same as the locals and I really like to see such things. after the ferry you get the best combination of local life, nature and the community. We went to different temples where we learned a lot about the religions in Thailand and we got the see how Buddhist people pray. Overall the guides were very knowledgable, very friendly, and they really kept an eye on everybody to make sure everything was okay. During the tour there was a bit of time for relaxing nearing the end and to finish it off we got an amazing lunch! This was one of the best biking tours I have done in a city. You get to learn a lot about the locals and the nature, during which you don't really go to the popular parts but you get to see the parts of Bangkok where you normally wouldn't go!
The trip was really cool! We went to a boxing school, weekend market and two temples. The tour guide was really nice and he introduced a lot of Thai traditions for us. We took a lot of beautiful photos and had a great time there.
Great bike ride in the green countryside of Bangkok - very pleasant and relaxing experience with a friendly guide!
Excellent experience. Our guide was great and very informative. He was also plenty of fun and made the experience more enjoyable.
The cycling route was beyond expected beautiful. The contact with the company before the tour was very good, quick and clear answers! At cycling day everything went as planned and the cycling path as the places we see was beyond expected beautiful! We booked a private cycling tour for my family of 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 8 years). Also booked the transfer from to hotel via internet of the company. Our kids was on the back the bicycle. We get the pictures of the tour afterwards also. Thank you Andre and Thailand Biking and our guide Tor for a very beautiful experience with the kids!
Incredible biking around the green oasis of Bangkok. Our guide Oliver was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable and always made sure we were comfortable. Thank you! Highly recommend
I did the tour with my best friends. We were all really excited! We had the luck that no one else booked that day apart from us so we had a very relaxed tour. We drove through beautiful and varied nature, so we didn’t expect this from Bangkok. The stops at the market, the Thai boxing school and the temple also fitted well and were very interesting. Our guide was really courteous, relaxed and funny. We felt totally comfortable and had a lot of fun! :-)
What a fantastic experience. Very relaxed riding and nothing too strenuous and you will see parts of Bangkok that you would never see normally. One of the most memorable holiday experiences you will ever have. Mikan was amazing and very caring and ensured that we was thoroughly looked after.
I was with two others on a guided cycle ride over 21km. We had the chance to see rural life in the city of Bangkok. Despite the pouring rain, I had a great morning.
Got to see the parts of Bangkok that the tourists generally do not visit. The tour included a ferry ride across the river & lunch. The ride does mean cycling along some roadways but the Thai drivers & motorcyclists are quite considerate of other road users.
Had the most amazing insight into another side of Bangkok, with a very knowledgable guide Oliver and Fearn(?) who also was our own personal photographer! Not overly exertion at all so suitable for all abilities, and we stopped for a light lunch too (all included). Great experience and couldn’t recommend it enough! Fun team in the office too, thanks for a super morning.
Highlights: excellent local knowledge. Vegan / vegetarian friendly. Safety conscious. Friendly. We had a really great time on this tour. Our guide Bee was excellent at guiding us around the maze of streets and paths. He was very conscious of our safety and really wanted to help us understand the culture of the area and of Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok before (and on tours) and learnt many new things - which as a teacher I really appreciated! The meal was lovely in the local restaurant. As two (plant based vegetarians) Bee made sure we were able to order a dish that was suitable to our needs and communicated with the kitchen. He even helped us with our taxi on the way home. Would definitely book again with them!
see beautiful places which you would never find. Relaxed cycling and having fun together. New bikes, good quality
Highly recommend for anyone who wants a different side of bangkok. We cycled on the main road (safe), down small tiny alleys in between houses, into and around the village. It was an eye opener. Only tip: cycle slowly and take in the sights Im a noob cyclist and i survived w 0 scratches. Special thanks to both Tor!
Great experience this biking tour in a quiet part of Bangkok, crossing the river with our bikes. We went through the jungle, visited a temple and a floating market and a Thai boxing training place. Our guide was very friendly and had a lot to tell. Good bikes as well.
This was an absolutely brilliant cycle tour. We had a superb guide Tor who was very informative and adapted the speed as necessary. It gave us a unique insight into parts of Bangkok rarely seen by Western travellers. Highly recommend this for getting off the beaten track and seeing real life in Bangkok. The bikes were new and very comfortable.
A great insight into lots of aspects of Bangkok - local communities, temples, boxing and a beautiful green park. Lunch was delicious (I had a vegan Pad Thai with tofu) and we were constantly offered drinks for refreshment. I would definitely recommend this tour, but just beware some paths were very narrow so you have to be a decent cyclist to keep on track!
It was nice to get away from the city. The tour guide, V., was great. The path was pretty narrow with a lot of turns so you need to have good bike handling skills. Would not recommend for anyone under 16. We stopped for a meal in the beginning of the tour so don't eat before. The local restaurant had really good food. Bring water so you don't get dehydrated.
What an amazing experience with 2 fantastic guides Prayuth (Tommy) and Noi, showing some of the most magnificent real Traditional aspects of Bangkok and Thailand, with a great relaxing traditional Thai lunch and a trip through the happiest "slum" area you'll come across
We covered 25km in 35 degree heat but well worth it. Amm was a great guide. Really friendly and very informative. The route took in lots of green areas and we crossed the river twice. At the end we got an excellent video sent to us with all the photos of the day. The bikes are super comfy, reliable and easy to ride. Drinks, snacks and lunch provided along the way during breaks to cool off. Be prepared to get sweaty! Some of the paths are narrow and sit over the marshland below. It's OK though, just take your time. All staff friendly and helpful. All in all, a fabulous four hours away from the city.
After almost 20 years I came to Bangkok and hired again this impressive tour . We very lucky because we meet by chance with the owner Andre, who guided us again like in my first time. I was a great experience and genuine as exactly I remembered it ,Andre keeps the same energy and he is still very passionate about his job. Bikes are more comfortable now and the tracks through the green part are still as exciting as they used to be. Some times the track is narrow but it was not a problem at all. It is an advisable experience and also a good reason to extend your time in Bangkok.
This is the BEST EVER LOCAL TOUR EVER! I have been to Bangkok for more than 20 times and never been seen this special side of Bangkok. It really opens up my eyes. From where the locals living area to taking the boat with my bike and pass through the river, then we scroll through the jungle and see the wild life with coconut trees and mangoes trees etc. Plus there were 2 giant water lizards as a bonus. Truly appreciate our very professional and enthusiastic tour leader Andrew, he shared his wonderful experiences and the history alongside. His sense of humor and all the smiley faces from the village people just simply made our trip even more fruitful and peaceful. Lastly, kindly remind you to be physically ready for this 4 hours of continuing cycling, the cost of this trip just exceed my expectations. It worths every single penny of it, I will definitely bring my family to take this trip next time Love it! Ivy
By our travel agency was arranged the tour 'Color of Bangkok' included in our holiday in February 2020. It was an amazing experience to see by the tour a total different view on Bangkok. The arrangement and the tour guide were very professional, we seen nice places, nature and the rickshaw tour was perfekt. The lunch in an original restaurant with excellent and spicy Thai food - THX for a day we don't forget too fast.
A perfect combination of the back of Bangkok and the green lung of the city. Very professional and friendly guides. But be careful: some parts of the track are dangerous for unexperienced bikers...
The bike tour was fun and we got to see a quiet part of the city. We got to see some back streets and got to ride a long-tail boat across the river.
Guide was great Riding bikes on busy Bangkok streets a little dangerous Path through jungle narrow and one person on tour crashed Enjoyed crossing the river and riding around the island Lunch was a little small considering activity level Guide was very good
