Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise: Buffet, Entertainment & Landmarks

Great atmosphere on boat , food good , great sights , finding check in booth in Asiatique a little tricky and boarding a bit of a scrum but allocated table good , entertainers good

The Chaopraya River cruise was excellent! There were awesome views of the iconic landmarks in Bangkok with spectacular photo opportunities. The food was delicious as well.

Nice river views but SO loud the entire voyage! Could barely talk with my friend, and music was nonstop. It would have been nice to have had some quieter moments at times. Definitely is a party boat! Food was ok, staff were friendly. But don’t book if you’re looking for a quiet, romantic river tour.

We had an amazing time on this dinner cruise! The food was GREAT, and the entertainment was top notch!

We had a brilliant night. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious. The singers were great and we had a good laugh dancing towards the end. Highly recommended. The only criticism is that we weren’t told how or where to check in and there was a lot of confusion.

Dinner cruise along Chaophraya river, Delicious dinner, lively performances, and stunning river views, capped off perfectly with spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks! Our agent had booked everything, which made it seamless. Tip: After midnight, traffic was terrible — our driver took 2 hours to pick us up, and many taxis couldn’t get through loads of local people and tourist had to walk long distance. I’d recommend staying nearby if you plan a cruise dinner and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

I had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. The staff was friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. I really appreciated the quality and attention to detail. It’s clear that they care about their customers and work hard to provide a pleasant experience. Everything met my expectations, and in many ways, it exceeded them. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for reliable service and a great overall experience. I would be happy to visit again in the future.

Food buffet a bit of a shambles....mad rush to get food even though there was sooo much of it. Some organisation would be nice. Staff really good. Entertainment good but on this occasion I think it was the Mexican guests that made it fun. The DJ's music choice got everyone dancing. Musician was great...Thailands own Kenny G.

Entertaining night, staff were great and the view was good. Food selection was ok and the drinks were reasonably priced considering your on a cruise.

Among the seas of dinner cruises offered, I settled on this company and took advantage of the discounted tickets. We had great time. The food was decent nothing outstanding, menu for most diets. Note: The beverages are cost extra. There was entertainment onboard and dancing. The cruise along the river, was the highlight , seeing the Grand palace and temple spires lit up. A beautiful sight to see. Yes, towards the end of the trip. The staff will line up and hope you give some tip money. It’s entirely up to you!

Really enjoyed the whole night! Really good entertainment, food had a lot of variety and the drinks were very well priced, we did get to the dock abit early but there’s markets and bars right next to where the boat picks you up

We looked at the reviews of many river cruises, and found this to be the best. The on-boarding was welcoming. The entertainment was very good. The boat sailed past many well-lit places of interest. Many opportunities for excellent pic! 📸 The food was good (i am personally not a goodie so cannot comment mych). Overall i scored it 11 out of 10!!!

The time of the tour was in the middle of a massive rain storm in Bangkok. I contacted the tour company one hour in advance, knowing that it was an impossible situation and they declined to refund my purchase. I am not happy.

After getting our tickets near the boardwalk, we boarded at the The Riverfront Pier. We enjoyed browsing quaint boutique shops and watching street performances before setting sail. I wish I had done my research, so we could have a little more time to explore before getting on board. I ended up buying a few things, but it wasn't a problem to leave my shopping bags underneath my dining chair. Once on board, we were treated to a lavish Thai and international buffet, special drinks and alcohol you pay for separately, but a regular drink comes with the buffet. Plenty of options, including dessert. They even have food on the lower level which I don't think everyone was aware of. Live music and traditional dancing entertained us while we were casting off, then later they played popular songs and it turned into a family-friendly dance party as they encouraged us to join in and dance with our servers, kids, adults, elderly, different nationalities, everyone laughing, dancing and having fun together just made it a perfect night. It was a lively and fun ambiance, yet romantic at the same time. The beautiful panoramic views (seen in the other reviews) of Bangkok’s landmarks all lit up at night was amazing, including Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and the Rama VIII Bridge. We dined on the top open-air deck offering plenty of photo ops, not sure how easy it was to take photos on the lower deck. The staff were enthusiastic and engaging, making the entire experience feel exciting. We passed 2 other river cruise boats and in comparison it was obvious we were having more fun on our boat. This cruise is a must-do for an unforgettable night on the river, timing was just right, not too long, not too short. The only thing that annoyed me was the line before boarding, very unorganized. We have assigned seating, yet people push in front of you like you're invisible and you weren't waiting there longer than they were. I'm not sure what can be done about rude patrons though, maybe hand out numbers to line up in order.

The food was mid, difficult to provide food for the various people groups on board. The highlight was the entertainment. The singers sang popular songs in the language of each guest. It wasn’t perfect, but very impressive.

Such an incredible spot! ✨ We came to Asiatique The Riverfront to catch our boat for a magical dinner cruise along the river 🚤🌆. The place is super charming — an open-air mall filled with shops, restaurants, lights, and a giant Ferris wheel 🎡. It was the perfect starting point for our evening. From here, we boarded a boat and enjoyed a lovely dinner while cruising through the canals with stunning views of Bangkok’s most iconic temples lit up at night 🕌✨. Highly recommended for a romantic or special night out! 💫🍽️🌃

The staff and entertainment were 1st Class. We had great seats on the upper deck, fortunately the weather was kind on the night. Saw all the sights. The food was good and plentiful. Good value 👏

The staff were fantastic - very helpful and friendly I liked the entertainment and all those on the upper deck had a really good time The views from the river st night are beautiful It was buffet style food of a good standard but some guests took huge amounts of seafood which meant it ran out - totally selfish as they piled their plates high !

Excellent foods/ entertainments including singing, dancing and playing saxophone. Also see great views including Wat Arun and grand place.

The food is not the best, but the entertainment, service and the views more than makes up for it. My partner and I had a wonderful time.

The staff were exceptional, friendly, courteous, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was very good, and to top it off the views from the river were breathtaking 😍 would definitely go on it again the next te in Bangkok

We booked this very last minute and it was fantastic nothing that I didn’t like. In fact we enjoyed it so much we booked another cruise for the next night on the White Orchard big mistake it was terrible polls apart felt absolutely ripped off and couldn’t wait to get off. What’s better on this one compared to White Orchard? On here you get the folllowing which you don’t on the White Orchard: Drinks order taken and delivered to table and very fast Great food that doesn’t run out. Great choice of seafood. Bill brought to table All night wonderful entertainment Entertainment pretty much all evening Sat outside able to take amazing photos of famous landmarks. Drinks at very reasonable price. Lovely staff. Bar kept open until the end. Staff friendly and helpful. No crowds of people constantly wondering around. All one one deck one deck outside. Had the best night wish we had booked it again instead of the White Orchard which was terrible. Book the Chao Phraya and have the best night out rather than your worst. Many thanks to all the staff you do a great job and service.

This was so fun. The food was great, the entertainment was outstanding and we danced and had a blast. All of the servers were lovely and kind. They even danced with us and took photos. It was an outstanding value for the experience. Highly recommend.

Although we had a 30min delay the staff spared no effort to make our cruise an experience to remember. I loved how at the end of it the serving women were dancing with all of us. Great Job!

Food was pretty good, lots of variety. Service was good, as well. Left at exactly 7:15 and returned at exactly 9:15. Entertainment ranged from excellent (soprano sak player), to fair to poor(two vocalists). They suggested you check in at 5:30. No idea why because we did not board until 7.

The view was so stunning, the ambience, the vibes, the service was amazing…I would do it again and again. I highly recommend them

Great food. No pushing or shoving like other boat descriptions. Music a little loud but everyone having a good time. Excellent price compared to other boats.

Trip was very nice & the ambiance onboard was excellent. Food & service were good too. We had the chance to sail with about 50 misses from different countries so it was a unique experience

Amazing, i went there with my family, I did not expect a lot since I saw some bad reviews, however that 2 hour trip went smooth. The buffet was also wonderful, and the music was so cool! 😎 luckily, our night cruise included a lot of miss pageant from the world, so the trip was awesome. We got lower deck which was also perfect, and got a lot of nice view. 😍

Overall the experience was pretty good when you factor everything in. The service was excellent, the entertainment was great. The boarding experience was a giant cluster. The food was not very good to be honest, likely because the other folks on board rummaged through it like there was buried treasure.

Food was good. Service was great. Top of the boat was not open so view was compromised. Entertainment was very good. Has to go downstairs to get seafood and was limited to one shrimp on a plate.

What a great dinner cruise, we couldn’t fault this experience at all. The food was amazing with a large variety to suit all tastes. The staff were very helpful, they even shelled our prawns for us! The traditional Thai dancing & singers were very entertaining. This is a smaller boat so there are less people, boarding and queuing for food was easy. I highly recommend this dinner cruise.

Great views, wonderful show, perfect meals, friendly staff, cleanliness, good atmosphere, nothing to complain about.

First off, staff and crew are hard working and did their best on this event. Sadly there were too many Arabs with no courtesy whatsoever, pushing and cutting line to get on the boat, making a mess in the toilets, loud and obnoxious, starting to grab food from the buffet before even getting everyone boarded. Very sad that they ruined our cruise and being so rude. Again I would like to say a thank you to the cruise crew and staff and apologize for my bad review, but sadly I would have got off the boat if I knew this in advance. Thai people are so nice and the least you can do is show them the respect all deserve.

Was great cruise, nice local band doing cover to well known songs plus dancers . Decent variety of food. The receptionist at the check-in booth had realized I have mistakenly scheduled to the next day so offered to fix it for me and rescheduled to the same day without any problem

Very nice cruise and river sites were very pleasant. The food was exceptional as was the service and entertainment. I found the volume of the music too loud and you cannot go anywhere to escape it. Don't worry about getting there too early to get in a queue for hours like I did - they have a table reserved for you so queuing is a waste of time.

Was able to sit on the upper deck with great views of both sides of the river. Entertainment was excellent.

It was crowded before boarding but the assigning of a table at booking took away the worries about not getting one. All staff were friendly and fast. Food average and not hot, but a hot buffet for a large number of guests is a challenge. The band played a mix of pop tunes but very loud and not very well. This took away the expected dinner cruise ambiance as talking to each other was not possible. We wanted a dinner cruise with light music in order to enjoy the views and evening.

Good food and nice atmosphere! We expected more Thai music/ dances but it was more popular pop music. We ended the evening with a little dance on the dancefloor. Very nice!

Excellent dinner cruise on the famous and ancient Bangkok Chaophraya river. Dinner buffet was a good start to our wonderful journey through Thailand. Good was great. Service is what we expect in Thailand and is spectacular. Getting aboard is the only thing we thought needs improvement. It was a little chaotic. It was partly our fault for getting to the docks 15 minutes before departure. I would recommend at least a hour to make sure you are properly checked in and in the right line for the right cruise. There several cruise that depart at the time.

Food spread was decent. Quality was acceptable. Experience of outdoor upper floor was good provided it does not rain. Nice live band and sums up all iconic points along Chao Praya River.

Boarding info and process could be better. Was confusing and not well organized. Service staff ware grest

The cruise down the river in the evening was good; however very crowded. The boat was comfortable and the staff were amazing, great service and getting into the swing of things when the music started. The disappointing part was the buffet. The food wasn’t hot and not replenished quickly. Not a luxurious as I thought it would be
