Calypso Cabaret: Dazzling Lights & Performances

A really amazing show at Calypso Cabaret. Everything is so professional and polished. The performers look to have so much fun and enjoy their routines. The costumes, electronic backdrops and the music were all outstanding & first class. And the whole theater is so modern and inviting with good viewing for everyone. I can certainly recommend Calypso Cabaret for a fun night out and the price is very good also.

so much fun here from the minute the show stated until it ended. amazing costumes and makeup..the cast and dancing were perfect. and it was a great time.

The Calypso Cabaret at Asiatique Riverfront is absolutely awesome. The cast is very beautiful and the music, dancing and lip syncing is great. I’ve seen the show 3 times since 2019. However, I find the segment with Patti LaBelle to be very offensive and degrading. In the show Patti LaBelle is depicted as a clown like character with a bad hair-do, horrible costume and extremely bad clown makeup. This character needs a complete makeover. I am not sure why the show’s producer decided to depict the LEGENDARY Patti LaBelle in this manner but I find it degrading. Ms. LaBelle is a classy, sophisticated and beautiful REAL woman with extraordinary talent, who in no way resembles a clown. All of the other characters in the show are extremely beautiful except the one female black character who portrays Patti LaBelle. What’s the message here?

Brilliant, fabulous entertainment. Great non stop entertainment with different types of music and dance. Only thing it’s not long enough, great performers

Entertainers were energetic and got the audience going. Great costumes. Good dancing. Lipsinking needs practice.

We had such a great experience. Staff was super attentive, the “showgirls” were amazing! My wife and I really really enjoyed this and would recommend as a great venue for entertainment in the evening in Bangkok

Absolutely amazing, so entertainnighting! Beside the night market along the riverfront so make time to visit this as well. We bought our tickets through our hotel so probably paid more than we should have. Cost us $1800 baht for two people but after seeing the show it was totally worth it. You can buy tickets outside at the booth in the night market. We had a table to sit at but I am sure the seats without tables were cheaper. Would absolutely go to this show again if I ever returned to Bangkok!

Don’t underestimate Bangkok traffic if you’re travelling by road! It’s a lovely show, really fun and glamorous. High production value. Lots of restaurants around for a bite to eat before or after the show.

This is an amazing visual experience than a dancing show with awesome background graphics and beautiful dazzling costumes. I enjoyed the numbers the boys did the most, as they were funny. The show lasts about 60 minutes. The drinks were a little slow considering there was not many guests - I had one beer the entire show however ordered another via the QR code on the table which did not arrive. Finally you do have to run the gauntlet at the end when you leave, with all the performers lined up along a corridor so you can have a photo with them for 100THB - this is how you tip your favorite performer. Tipping is very normal and expected at these types of shows, however I was not expecting to have to walk down a narrow corridor with the performers either side trying to catch your attention - I was alone so felt quite overwhelmed, but if I was with friends I would have got some pictures/tipped!

Was in general a really nice experience. Some of the performances were quite funny as well. Was well choreographed and entertaining.

Wow! An amazing experience!! The performances were fun & engaging and we didnt want it to stop. At the end of the performance they welcome you to take pictures with the performers of a 100baht fee - so of course we did!! Would recommend to anyone!

We did the White Orchid dinner cruise and Calypso Cabaret package. It was such a fun night! The buffet food was really good and the cruise was very nice. The cabaret show was super entertaining and all the performers were amazing! Definitely recommend if you’re in Bangkok.

Excellent upgrade. New performers, new lighting, new sound system. Definitely a must visit in Bangkok. Pre show dining and drinks available. Post show, a stroll around Asiatique by the Chao Praya river, a ferris wheel. A lovely evening of enjoyment

Although not as famous as Tiffany’s or Alcazar, the Calypso Cabaret Show is still a hidden gem worth experiencing. This ladyboy show features a talented and charming cast—some of them truly beautiful—and delivers an evening full of color, music, and laughter. The performances are highly entertaining, blending glamour with humor. I especially enjoyed the funny lady with short hair—she brought so much energy and personality to the stage. Each act felt well-rehearsed and visually impressive, making it a great option for those looking for a unique cultural show. The venue is conveniently located, surrounded by small shops where you can browse snacks or souvenirs before or after the show. It’s definitely a fun evening out and a great way to experience something a bit different while in the area.

Show was awesome but experience would have been better if Viator offered hotel pick up. Theater was in a shopping area with lots options for food venues and shopping which we liked.

The dinner cruise was very nice and entertaining. The food was good. However, as a solo traveler, I believe I received the worse seat on the boat and in the theater for the show. I booked over a week in advance, so not sure why I was given such a poor seat other than the fact I was traveling solo. They didn’t provide an option to select a better seat. This was the only real negative I have about the entire experience.

This was a fantastic show. The performance, costumes, and performers were amazing. It was a top notch production! I will certainly see it again the next time I come to Bangkok!

Performance was great, I love the actors as well as the performance After the show if u want a photo with the actors. It's 100baht per actor. So do take note.

INCREDIBLE! I would recommend this show to anyone who loves and appreciates elements of camp, make-up and costume artistry, fun dance numbers, and supporting diverse groups of people. My husband and I are very confused by any of the negative comments, or even the slight lack of energy from the audience. This show was probably the highlight of my trip to Thailand. The Kathoey, or "Ladyboy", performers were so beautiful and talented. At the end, you could take photos with any of them (for a modest additional tip), and I wanted to snap a pic with every single one. THANK YOU CALYPSO!

Some of the show was great, however I did not know the entire performance was lip syncing. There was no audience interaction, not even the welcome was live. Could probably find a better show however did not have time, please research carefully before booking.

It was a fun evening of dance and entertainment. The MC were a bit cheesy and hard to understand at times. But the performance was nice. We also enjoy the pre show dinner that also came with some traditional Thai dances. Overall a fun evening.

I’m baffled by some of the positive reviews of this show but I suppose perspectives differ so allow me to share mine: This production was really budget in every sense - from the rundown theatre and worn-out costumes to the dreadful audio and abysmal performance quality, I was left wondering how I manage to get through an hour of this rubbish. The choreography was clunky, the dancing was wooden and out of time and the performers seemed utterly disengaged. There was no energy and no passion. Rarely seeing anyone smile, I genuinely feel like they were there under duress. One particularly unsettling moment was a clown-like “laughing” song, if you can even call it that. It was more disturbing than entertaining. The experience ended on a sour note when we were herded through a narrow corridor like cattle, only to be confronted by cast members begging for 100 baht to take a photo with them. Ironically, this was the first time any of them displayed some real emotion which sadly was full of desperation. There are undoubtedly fantastic burlesque shows in Thailand, but this was far from one of them. Oh and at almost £30 a ticket, it was a total rip off. Two stars out of pity.

High energy dances performed by ladyboy groups. Watch to understand the pride the performers feel; and appreciate the gender transition. Ask for front row seats during booking if you're at the Asiatique market and making a direct booking there. The performers dress scantily a few places, but other wise all clean and the snow is meant for all ages.

So glad we booked this fantastic show, we loved every minute of it. Such a fun experience. Well worth the experience if you have the time while in Bangkok.

Seating and lighting is great, the atmosphere is good and it’s an entertaining evening. Lots of people involved and really good fun.

This was an excellent show in a great theatre, well worth the cost and time, highly recommend! The show lasted about an hour and every seat was a great seat. Also great service at the bar. Asiatique is also a great area to explore shops and restaurants.

Fun and exciting show. Loved the costumes, song and dance. The cast was amazing in mimicking the songs.

We took a boat/ferry across the river to get here early. Easy-as... There are lots of restaurants to have a pre-show meal (we went to Thai X Thai, which was ok) Finding the theater was easy The show was a bit more than an hour long; and reasonably good fun. The theatre is not the usual seating, but has tables with seating for two, facing the stage. All very good, and great lighting The show itself was quite ok. There's no live singing, but lip-syncing. Most of the songs were in English, there was a segment in another language; which was very interesting ! After the show, one could get pictures with the performers (at a reasonable price) Worth a visit if you have a spare evening in Bangkok, and would rather not go to a dive in Patpong or Soi Cowboy !!

Really good show, cheesy and a good giggle but lovely theatre and a great experience. We didn't know what to expect but we had a great night, we ordered a bottle of wine which was bought to our table, the show was excellent and definitely a highlight to our holiday.

Went as family of 4 , with a 13 and 14 year old. Show was fantastic, great fun with impressive dancing, we all loved it. The dancers are fantastic and so good! Its very colourful, glam and theatrical - as you would expect. Meet and greet after for a photo (100bht) which we did as well. Very friendly and there is a fully stocked bar for drinks before. I recommend- it was great thing to do whilst in Bangkok.

Great show with good music and dances. For the price its totally worth it. High energy and full of Glam. Music could have been better give we are in 2024. I wish there was Beyonce n Lady Gaga.

If you go in expecting the pageantry of Rupauls drag race you’ll be disappointed but if you go in with an open mind and don’t mind some quirk you’ll like it! Would recommend as a 1 time thing. Would not say it’s family friendly though

It's fun, it's camp and it's caberet! If you don't get that, don't go! But if that's what you like, you won't beat this. For the money, it's extremely good value. BTW, no seats are bad seats. The semi-circle layout around the stage is very intimate. Overall, a very good experience. Just give yourself enough time to get there as the traffic at show time is extremely heavy. Even short distances take an age to travel.

Great show, but the ticket states it comes with 1 free drink (soda or beer). The doorman denied my request for a beer and said the website was old. Felt like I was getting conned for such a dumb reason.

Ok. Good performances. It is in the city and during peak city time traffic is extensive, plan your commute or cab ride accordingly. Fpr Indians, there is a Punjabi Restaurant at the entrance of Asiatique mall which is brilliant.

Interesting show. Lip sinking was a little off. Perhaps when they’re talking they could use their natural voices .

The ladyboy cabaret show was amazing and entertaining. I recommend visiting it when you are in Bangkok!!! It's almost a must if you're already in the area :)

Good show except everything is lip synced. The show was energetic but at times seemed a little amateurish.

Very disappointing not sure of the purpose of this seating arrangement. Have seen better high school performance. No reason or flow of the songs. Choreography needs some work off step and moves. Never recommend I wanted to leave partially way thru

A very entertaining night. The performers wore great costumes and their dancing was excellent. We Really enjoyed the show .

Nice size not too big and easy to access venue. Terrence seating so no bad seat! The “free” drink is a bottle or water or semi-warm beer- no big deal. The show itself was average. So pretty average dancing and a few pretty good dancers. The energy level from the crowd was low but for the most part the performers tried to capture the audience. Seat comfort left a lot to be desired as they were as hard as stone. The post show photo shoot was well worth it as the cast of performers are 100% dedicated to bringing joy! Engage!

Recommend and was well worth going. A variety of different songs and dances. If I were to critical it was that some so NHS were dated but very glad we went and was a fun night.
