Itinerary
Your tour begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Bangkok, followed by a comfortable 1.5-hour drive to the famous Railway Market in Samut Songkhram.
This famous live action market is also called; Talad Rom Hoop, roughly translates to closing an umbrella or awning. As the name suggests, part of the market is situated on the railway.
We continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. This world-famous floating market located about 30 minutes by drive. Harking back to a time when water transport was the primary mode of transportation, the floating market features fresh fruits, flowers, colorful clothing, souvenirs and more along the waterways and on vendor boats.
Then, sightseeing 100 years history old market, Lao Tuk Luck (the old Damnoen Saduak Market) where tourists still see the old-style wooden house with traditional way of selling and buying food, snack, etc. Walk around and check out the many stalls or rent a paddle boat (at your own expenses) to experience the market from water.
Along the way back to Bangkok, step to the local sugar palm farm where demonstrate how local produces their sugar product.
After the tour concludes, you’ll enjoy a relaxing 1.5-hour journey back to Bangkok city center.

We never made it to our experience because the pickup time was not properly communicated with us. Viator refused to take responsibility for the miscommunication. I would never recommend viator to anybody. Please use any other service.
Alex was very friendly and helpful - he knew where to maneuver to beat the crowds. Tour was exactly as outlined. Great time
It was a very good experience with the guide and service. We get a chance to grab the train and ride it to the market. Would recommend to do so. You will get the difference perspective from this. It will be one of a kind experience.
I recently joined the Railway & Damnoen Saduak Floating Market tour with transfer, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Thailand! This half-day tour is a perfect blend of culture, excitement, and convenience. The day started early with a smooth pickup in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Thai market traditions and local life throughout the journey.
It was a fantastic tour tidy vehicle friendly driver friendly and accommodating tour guide both places fantastic
This was a fantastic trip abd we thoroughly enjoyed it all. Alex was a great guide, extremely helpful and very friendly. I would really recommend this trip withAlex
This was a fun day. Ken was a great and doting guide who shared exciting activities and fun experiences. This is a unique day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip outside of Bangkok. Our wonderful guide & driver collected us and outlined exactly what we would do and see and what was included. He then provided interesting history and information on the drive to the train and floating markets. With the 7am pick up we avoided the worst of the crowds and were back in Bangkok in time for lunch and shopping.
Apple, our tour leader and the driver were great. They had a very comfortable van, to ride in as well.
Unfortunately, quite a disappointment. The guide didn't provide any information, just dropped us at the stops and then disappeared until he had to take us back into the van. In the end he just left with a shopping bag full of fruit without saying goodbye. The "coconut sugar stop" was probably the worst tourist trap I've been to in years. Overall, both the railway market and the floating market are only designed to sell cheap souvenirs, joints and coconut ice cream to tourists. That's fine in principle, just not what I expected from the description. What worked well: pickup and drop off, the ticket for the boat was included, and the van was fine with seat belts and a/c.
I enjoyed this half-day tour. The train running through the market was fast and exciting. The floating market was crowded, but was fun to see all the vendors trying to sell you stuff.

It is a nice experience and our guide was very friendly and attentive. This excursion allowed us to discover another facade of Thailand, we were even able to see snakes and crocodiles in the water. I highly recommend it
I highly recommend it , our guide (Travis) gave us some tips not to get stuck with too many tourists
A great experience thanks to the kindness and thoughtfulness of our guide Alex. Alex did everything to make us feel comfortable with a lot of little touches: coconut, donuts, even to extend his time to allow us to go to the restaurant, a guide to the top! For the activity, arriving by train in the market is really great, visiting a traditional Thai house is great. On the other hand, disappointed with the floating market that is based solely on tourism, there is not much left (even nothing...) that is genuine. However great half day that I really advise with our guide Alex!
Perfect organization! We arrived on time with the arrival of the train at the market. At the floating marcher the boat ride was really great. Our guide Mr TK allowed us to live everything to the fullest. I hope you can meet him too!
