It was a very nice experience though I was expecting to have a traditional entertainment on board while dining and cruising over the beautiful sunset. The food on board was good though

The food was far beyond my expectations. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The entertainment team were brilliant. There was a wide selection of drinks to choose from.
Fun experience and food was food, there were a lot of people but they managed well. One suggestion: when the cruise passes a monument, it would be great to also announce so that people are aware and can see while they have dinner.
We borh had a great time. What a beautiful experience. It's definitely worth it. Definitely would do it agian. Hats off to the crew
Beautiful experience. Buffet dinner with good variety it would have been good to have a drink menu on the table . The life music was good . The scenery was amazing with the building/bridges lite up.
A group of six ladies booked the Alingkar Cruise and took the ride on 1st May. Departed the Icon Siam at 7:30 pm and be seated as assigned by the usher. The filipino live music band entertained throughout the 2-hour trip. We passed by the iconic landmarks of Bangkok along the riverside such as Wat Arawun, Wat Emerald Buddha, the Royal Palace, the Asiatique and so on. The most exciting experience was to enjoy the colorful fireworks when the cruise turned around. The view was so astonishing that almost all passengers exclaimed “WOW” Only one weakness: the seating capacity on the deck was so tight that it’s so hard to reach the buffet display. Everyone had to push and moved the chairs to get food at the buffet counters. Personally I did not wish to enjoy food under this circumstances and hence I left the cruise with empty stomach. Recommended to display food at the empty lower deck and as such, passengers can enjoy both food and scenery while relaxing at the upper deck. Anyway, it’s a worthy ride, we could say!
I danced my heart out! The food was delicious , entertainment was amazing! So much fun, but it ended too soon! Dancing too!
Good views from the river of the sights of Bangkok but that’s where the good parts end unfortunately. The boat left late but finished early, and the welcome drink was only half full so not ideal. The buffet food was all cold and none of it was very good. However there was a lot of choice so at least that was something. The performance after the food was really poor and far too loud - ended up nicknaming the whole thing the Butlins Boat. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.
the buffet food is served cold and isn’t very tasty. the complimentary drink was only half full. it left late and finished early. I would say get dinner first and then a quick boat trip - avoid this!
I went on this dinner cruise on 4 January 2025. For the price of the ticket, I found the atmosphere, views and food on board quite pleasant.
The views were amazing, food delicious, music great. Organised chaos when we first arrived but managed by the staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed the night.
Nice cruise . Bit of a fuss to get on the boat as lots of other boats Leaving at the same time and no control with the check in staff . Should have dedicated lanes not just holding up a sign . Good good and plenty full . Always being topped up . Music good and Father Christmas even came aboard for the children. .
Dont buy this activity, dont use Viator and dont use activity provider! If you want dinner cruise buy cruise straight from organisator not from Viator or provider. I Will never ever again use Viator.
Storm had came in and traffic was terrible do to the weather. Company refused to reimburse even though I did not attend the cruise.
The cruise was a lot of fun and my fiancée and I had a great time on the ship. The scene was really fun and it was really romantic to ride at night. The boarding process was a little hectic at first, but once on the ship, things went pretty smooth. A buffet was offered complimentary of the experience and drinks could be purchased for an additional charge. The food was decent, but the experience is the true gem. The entertainment was great and the live band did a great job of putting on an energetic show. If you are looking for a more laid back and quiet cruise, this may not be your thing as it was pretty loud and boisterous inside. If that’s your thing however, it would be right up your alley! Would recommend to any coming to Bangkok. 5/5
Did a dinner cruise on Chinese New year's Eve. Super busy, but once onboard very relaxed and great entertainment. This is a must do if you visit Bangkok. Buffet food is good but view down the river is awesome
Terrible food. Cheap & tasteless - worse than school canteen dinners. Was a race to serve yourself which is grim and unclassy. Bad live music singers - music too loud to have a conversation. Nice views from the boat. But not worth it for the awful experience. Only book this if you enjoy cringe loud music and bland food, worse than the food you we are while volunteering in the poor areas of Cambodia. This is marketed as a luxury experience and it is not.
Had a great time. The staff was nice and friendly. The food selection was good too and the live music.
Bangkok dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya for two hours is one of the tourist attractions and activity. We enjoyed the cruise tour and had our dinner. Enjoyed the songs and dances of the participants and visited both the deck. Lighting was excellent and can view the Bangkok city during night time. The trip was a memorable one.
A great relaxed afternoon activity on a boat! The food from the buffet was amazing and the sights were amazing. If you toured some of the temples you get to see them from the river's vantage point. The staff was great and helpful and there was live music playing as well. One thing though is that the tickets pick up is a bit confusing. They are not so clear on the website and had to get confirmation via Whatsapp. But after getting the tickets, the pier to get onto the boat was in the same location.

As per the other reviews, it is tricky to find where to pick up tickets and is very chaotic and late boarding. Didn't like the forced photo of your group before you were allowed to board. We had a six month old child with us and requested to be away from the music, which they did put is on a further away table...underneath a speaker of the music.. The buffet food was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the sushi corner, and there was something for everyone in our group, including the kids, so good. Cocktails were not great, clearly made with syrup like additions, not fresh ingredients. For us, though, the music was too loud even if we hadn't had children with us, which meant you couldn't really talk to those you were with. We were glad to be on the upper deck, but it didn't really have a nice viewing platform for picture taking.
It was nice to be out on the water but it was very crowded, if I went again I would look for a smaller boat as we saw others on the water.
Horrible It was horrible no vegetarian food and food was ice cold we didn’t eat or enjoyed the cruise I talked to manager on cruise if they can give us vegetarian pasta answer was no we don’t have it. It was such a disappointment. Driver was nice but didn’t understand English we were hungry but he could help us. We slept hungry that was our memory of the trip.
very complicate to find the place where to get the tikets, A lot of confusion at the time of emarkement. It was raining hard: no repair for waiting people. Once on the boat, dinnner with average quality.
A little confusing to pick up tickets but once we found it everything was great. Food staff and sunset on river
The gathering place is quite difficult to find under staff instructed of Chao Phraya Princess, back and forth 3 times no matter outside or inside of Iconsiam. People are overcrowded in the Iconsiam’s hall during Rainy, staff holding the Nos. of both are moving, participants follow the staff moving too, it's horrible !!! Never join the buffee dinner of Chao Phraya Princess again.
I highly recommend having a driver pick you up from your hotel because he knew exactly where to go, he picked up my tickets, and walked me to where I exactly had to be...No Worries and a great convenience! The seating is assigned by the cruise company. I recommend going to the Buffet line ASAP. Eat quickly and go upstairs to take video and pictures or you will miss the scenery.
Great experience! Food was delicious and live music got everyone dancing and singing. Would go early to make sure you don’t miss the check in.
The best bit was the car ride the driver was friendly helpful and great customer service we was there too early left waiting for 2 hours then rushed onto the boat, it was a nice ride and food just very stressful
Excellent services collect tickets and go to pier really easy They had the best big boat and you have a table to dine and loads of food for all tastes and dietary requirements Loads of fun, live band, and area to be on the deck and soak it in Highly recommend this boat and company The best and top quality
5 STARS CRUISE🏆 we had a amazing time, very impressive, U will not be disappointed. The night presence on top floor Chao Phraya Princess, music, personal hospitality to guest from workers was SUPERB!
The dinner cruise itself was really cool. Food was ok. The entertainer made the audience lively. She relally knows how to steal the show and made the audience participated especially the Filipino guy and the Indians who really know how to dance. Our driver is a plus. Very helpful and accommodating. I can’t really walk straight but he made it easy for me and my family. He even showed up and waited us at the Pier. Thank you Mr. Driver. May your tribe increase. Over all, the cruise was an amazing expirience. Will recommend to my friends
I had booked this two-hours dinner cruise for my family of 6 people that involved my parents, my brother, my husband, me and my nephew. Since my mom had knee pain she couldn't climb up to the first floor of the boat and hence we missed out on the song, celebration and food. It was a very poorly planned event. Guests were expected to carry their dinner, dessert and drinks down with no help from the staff. The boat itself is many many years old and the entire trip was less than 2 hours. It was not worth the money it costed and I would not recommend this event to any traveler.
Nice evening seeng the sights at night. The buffet was way, way better than expected- good food, plentiful and seating was nicely laid out. entertainment was decent. Offered good value for money. Biggest opportunity was the queuing and check in process. Office was not easy to find and queueing was like cattle- maybe 4-5 boatloads of folks in pens for what felt like ages.
Live music for both levels of the shop was amazing. Food and food options were fabulous and the sights were fantastic. Highly recommend this cruise. The music was a little loud on the ground level so if you don’t like that definitely book the top level.
Excellent night out on the river with all the land marks under lights The entertainment was great as was the food it’s a must do in Bany
I enjoyed my experience with the dinner cruise and overall am happy to have done it. The check-in booth is a bit hard to find in the larger Siam Center mall but they do send instructions on how to find it. You will need to look hard though. You will need to go past Naraya on the ground floor. They will be a hall next to Naraya, go past it and turn directly right. Tucked away in the wall is the check-in counter for the dinner cruise. The boarding process is hectic (and I was visiting during the slow season). They have multiple ships boarding at once and the pier has no queue ropes or lanes to line up in. You just look for a person holding your ticket number and are told to join a group of people that are on top of each other waiting to board the boat. Once the boarding starts, everyone crowds the entrance, but you enter 1 - 2 at a time as they are checking tickets before you enter. My advice is DON'T fight with the crowd, the way the tickets work are you are assigned seats at a table so you do not need to worry about getting a seat or a table. They have one assigned to you and you will for sure have seating, so hang back and board when you can. Once I boarded though the experience was great. Someone showed me to my table where water and a nice drink were already located. The buffet was good offering options of both Thai cuisine and international options. All the food I tried was good, hot, and they kept replenishing any items that ran out making sure everyone was able to get what they wanted. So don't feel like you need to fight your way to the buffet, they have enough food. I was seated on the ground floor which is inside the boat and enjoyed the experience cause it was air conditioned unlike the top level. And do not dismay if you get seats inside the boat, they have big windows so you can see all the things the river has to offer. And by the time you finish dinner, they will be going back down the river and you can see everything you may have missed. This is because they do open the front of the ship for people to go stand, relax, and get nice views of all the points of interest along the river. The music was good with a great instrumentalist and a very good vocalist. I will say the music was a bit loud during dinner part of the cruise making it hard to talk and listen to my mom who was having dinner with me. But on the way back to the dock after dinner, the music changed to more fun music with the singer encouraging guests to dance to the music. This was really fun as many guests soon would dance to songs from all over the world from ABBA to Blackpink. Overall the music was good, just wish it was a bit quieter during dinner. the de-boarding process was a lot less stressful and more organized as we had to single file out. Overall the experience was worth the money and I recommend it to anyone wanting a nice dinner cruise during their stay in Bangkok. The food was good, the boat was clean and sophisticated, and I got to see a lot of cool sites from the river. I would say the music was a bit too loud during dinner though and I would highly recommend coming up with a more organized and less chaotic way to board the ship.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the check in process was very confusing! The information given on the time and location to check in was very wrong so we walked back and forth and had to ask multiple people for information. With the language barrier this was not always clear which is why we had to ask multiple people. For this tour , check in is 7:15 not 6:30 and at Pier #2 which is outside right by the water. The cruise was wonderful, the boat staff were as well and the food was good but cold. The music was very good and the bathroom was very clean. As I mentioned, the problem was the check in process and incorrect location . I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
Very good staff, food, entertainment. Not that crazy about what to see from the boat at night. It is a show, little bit more expensive way to take a dinner...
Liked it but it was rather hot on the upper deck. It may be much nicer if you go visit on a cooler season.
It was a fantastic cruise & was my 5th on Chao phraya Princess cruise. Boat was very clean, Dinner tables were properly arranged. Food was not only abundant but was also of high quality. Very wide variety of delicious meals.
Guess that if what you are looking for is a massive crowd fighting over a very weak buffet, accompanied by a singer that cant remember the words for the songs she is singing, then this is the Cruise for you. Terrible.
This was our second cruise and we enjoyed it more than the White Orchid cruise. The entertainment was higher quality and more relaxing. Organization was better and food was good. Some items could have been hotter, however. This cruise takes you closer to shore in some of the older areas of the city, which was interesting. The cruise was less chaotic (without free beer ) and more enjoyable overall. Nice value for a great evening.
Loved our cruise. The wait in the jetty was a bit chaotic, so many people and not much organisation. But once on board it is perfect. Excellent food, great entertainment and easy to move around. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bangkok for the first time or wanting a great night out.
We had to check in but the counter was very hard to find inside ICONSIAM. After checkin, we were waiting outside for the cruise. The cruise arrived pretty late. The on board process was not very well organize. Guest were not lined up as instructed and everyone kindof just rushed toward the boat. When it was announced that we can get our food, everyone just kindof rushed toward the buffet. Again, this was not very well organize. The entertainment team did a good job with music and trying to entertain guests. I would give this a chance again but not anytime soon. Waiting for the rush of tourism to slow down first.
Great experience with the whole family. Well organized food was delicious, music made it. Sites along the river were perfect
A great trip. The pier is stunning and we saw a water light show when we arrived. The cruise was really good value for money. Lots of food to choose from and live entertainment. A great way to see Bangkok at night.
Great event! Amazing float up and down the river, with a lot to see. Great food (I was actually surprised how good a couple of the Thai dishes were, given it was a buffet). The launch point at IconSiam is amazing itself.
Excellent experience. Food was amazing, entertainment was great! Pick up from hotel was on time and communication was good.
