Amazing tour guide Geng, not boring and not TOO talkative, the perfect balance, with a bit of humor. That's what I love about private tours! We saw the monkeys and all the other spots, the tour was perfectly organized and never late, with the right amount of time in each place.

Itinerary
Wat Mahathat, located in Ayutthaya, Thailand, is a significant historical and cultural site renowned for its majestic ruins and towering prang (a type of Thai pagoda). Constructed in the 14th century, it was once a thriving center of Buddhist worship and a symbol of the kingdom's prosperity. The temple complex was not only a religious hub but also served as a royal monastery, housing relics of the Buddha. Today, visitors are drawn to its iconic Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree, a haunting yet mesmerizing sight that embodies the passage of time and the resilience of spiritual heritage amidst the ravages of history.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet, situated in Ayutthaya, Thailand, stands as a testament to the grandeur of the ancient Siamese capital. Constructed in the 14th century as part of the royal palace complex, this revered temple was primarily used for royal ceremonies and housed the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most sacred religious relic, before it was relocated to Bangkok's Wat Phra Kaew. The highlight of the temple is its three imposing chedis, or stupas, adorned with intricate designs and once containing the ashes of Ayutthaya's kings. Today, visitors can explore the well-preserved ruins, marvel at the architectural splendor, and contemplate the temple's rich history, which reflects the power and prestige of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
Wat Muang, situated in Wiset Chaichan, Thailand, is renowned for its colossal statue of the seated Buddha, towering at a height of over 92 meters (300 feet), making it one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world. The impressive monument, completed in 2008, reflects both traditional Thai Buddhist artistry and modern engineering prowess. The serene countenance of the Buddha exudes a sense of tranquility, drawing pilgrims and tourists alike to admire its magnificence. Surrounding the statue are beautifully landscaped gardens and ornate temples, creating a serene atmosphere conducive to contemplation and spiritual reflection. Wat Muang serves not only as a place of worship but also as a symbol of reverence and devotion, inviting visitors to marvel at the union of faith and artistic expression.
Phra Prang Sam Yot, located in Lopburi, Thailand, is a striking archaeological site showcasing a unique blend of Khmer and Lopburi architectural styles. Believed to have been constructed during the Khmer Empire's reign in the 13th century, the temple is characterized by its three imposing prangs (towers), each adorned with intricate carvings and decorative elements. Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, the temple later underwent conversion to a Buddhist monastery. One of its distinctive features is the presence of numerous monkey residents, adding an extra layer of charm and fascination to the site. Phra Prang Sam Yot stands as a testament to the region's rich historical and cultural heritage, offering visitors a glimpse into Thailand's ancient past and serving as a captivating destination for exploration and discovery.
Beyond its mischievous monkey inhabitants, this city steeped in history offers a plethora of attractions to explore. Meandering through the old town streets, visitors are greeted by the remnants of ancient Khmer-style temples, adorned with intricate carvings and rich cultural significance. Additionally, Buddhist temples house glistening Buddha statues, inviting contemplation and spiritual reflection amidst their serene surroundings. Immersed in the vibrant local Thai atmosphere, visitors can experience the charm of traditional markets, bustling streets, and the warmth of Thai hospitality. It's worth noting that the total duration of the journey includes travel time from Lopburi back to Bangkok.
Wat Khun Inthapramun is a revered Buddhist temple located in Ang Thong Province, Thailand. It's famous for its ancient reclining Buddha statue, measuring over 50 meters long, making it one of the largest reclining Buddhas in Thailand. The statue, believed to be over 500 years old, showcases intricate details and is a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists. The temple's serene atmosphere and historical importance draw visitors seeking spiritual insight and cultural appreciation.

We had the tour with Geng, he’s extremely knowledgeable in history of his country and local history of Bangkok. He took us through a few historical old towns. He told us interesting folk stories, and historical facts. We had private tour with him, which I would recommend. It was the most interesting tour I’ve ever had in any country; as he is very interesting person to hear and talk to. Defiantly recommend try with him and better private
This was so interesting. The temples were beautiful and the history was riveting. Our guide gave us lots of information. Seeing the monkeys (and handing them bananas) was really cool. I thought they were very cute.
I love the experience, our guide Mr. Geng was awesome. He explained everything and was so kind. We enjoyed a lot.
We had an amazing day on our tour with Mr Geng & he was a knowledgeable & enthusiastic guide. Highly recommend!
It was a tour that my girlfriend and I joined and truly enjoyed. The guide was excellent. He explained Thailand and the former Thai kingdoms in a very engaging and informative way. His communication skills were very strong. The monkey-feeding moments were especially fun and memorable. It turned out to be a wonderful escape-from-Bangkok tour that we were very satisfied with. Thank you.
My sister and I were treated to a fantastic day at Ayutthaya historical park by Khun Geng. Even though it was just the 3 of us, he gave us the full experience and more. He was very polite, informative and personable; educating us on what we were seeing while maintaining great conversation. Our party was small but he was still willing to drive us in his vehicle and surprise us with local food along the way. Khun Geng was one of our favorite people we met in Thailand and we will remember this adventure forever! Thank you from Megan and Alex Lilley.
Our guide , Mr Gang was very informative, kind and helpful. We enjoyed the tour very much. We highly recommend this experience.
The size of the party is unknown until 08:00 when we meet the host for the day (Mr Geng). My trip was just one guest, me! I felt lucky and privileged as we left the meeting point heading for our first Pit stop, coffee and comfort ahead of a 40 minute drive to the first temple. Mr Geng is incredibly knowledgeable and as the stop is timed well there were fewer people around so have the time to stop and contemplate in peace was very welcome. We move on, away from the highways passing through smaller village down side tracks and discovering a temple nearby with much history and discovery. Next, the giant golden Buddha, now fully restored and set in an area fighting scenes, cruel fairy tale scenes, torturously hideous scenes all depicting the morality of life. Lunch was a short drive away to a cafe set in its own grounds (Notre Maison!!) Small, but a huge great lunch-sized menu (I chose a beef curry dish, absolutely delicious). Coffee is great too. Now the disappointment, and nothing to do with the tour company; The temple famous for its playful monkey population can no longer have that claim to fame. Local politics has decimated the numbers to a few that still roam the streets, unkempt and pretty doleful. It's a long journey back to Bangkok so be prepared for long traffic ques as there are many ongoing road repairs going on.
We really enjoyed our day with Mr Cheng he was a fantastic guide and was full of information At the moment the monkey temple at Lobpuri is not suitable to visit but we were taken to another temple in Ayutthaya where we got to feed monkeys which was a great experience. we also had lunch at a wonderful cafe after seeing the big buddha . The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour.
I really enjoyed the experience. More temples than you can handle with a great historical context provided by the guide. I enjoyed the monkeys!
Had a wonderful time! The guide, Geng, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, providing great info about Thai history and culture and personalizing the tour to meet our interests. We visited a variety of temples/wats, each with different styles and interesting features, lunched at a quiet cafe, and ended the day with an entertaining community of monkeys. Geng’s excellent driving skills were a bonus, as we made our way through Bangkok traffic and around the countryside. It was a great day — thanks, Geng!
very knowledgeable guide and also a jovial person who like to throw in jokes now and then. Great guide!
What a great tour! The sites were magnificent. I highly recommend this tour because you learn about the history of what you are seeing. Our guide, Mr. Geng, was so friendly and knowledgeable and we just loved him! I highly, highly recommend this tour!
It was an amazing tour, Geng was our guide, he was excellent, he told us the history of each site we visited, he takes very good pictures. He was very friendly and kind.
A very educational experience in the ancient capital of Ayutthaya thanks to our guide, Mr. Folk, who was extremely attentive to us. He was very affable, generous with his time, and extremely sociable. We had a wonderful time. The temples we visited were so beautiful you can’t comprehend until you see it. Very informative, and in the end very entertaining. I can fully recommend both the tour and the guide M. Folk. Thanks for a successful and wonderful day.
Mr Geng provided an absolutely wonderful day. It was just a tour with both myself and Mr Geng. He is very smart and informative. I recommend this tour guide and make sure you go and visit Autthya. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were a little nervous in the beginning about being at the correct meet point, but all was good! Geng is a very sincere and knowledgeable tour guide and the driver was great too. We had a lot of questions and all were answered!
Very balanced and relaxing tour to get a glimpse of Thailand history. Great jokes and insights from our guide. The lunch break was exceptional, magic location and tasty food. I wouldn't hesitate to use this tour company again in the future.
The driver and guide were incredible! Such kindness and goodwill are rarely seen! Very helpful, they explained all the information about the temples extremely well! I highly recommend this experience to anyone coming to Bangkok. You will see temples that are off the beaten track.
Absolutely fantastic tour. I gave it 5 stars and I wish I could give it 10 stars! Our guide Geng was wonderful. He explained the history, the culture and the current events. Every stop was very informative and seeing the ancient sites. There was no shopping or any kind of pressure to buy anything from the vendors at some places. Explorenique responded to all my inquiries when I booked the tour, and provided detailed information about meeting point and the tour. They were easy to reach and promptly responded. I highly recommend Explorenique, the tour and our guide Geng.
Geng is a funny guide that was able to answer all of my questions about not only the different temples but de Thai culture in general with a good insight. He heaven help me plan my evening and made some good suggestions for my stay in Bangkok. Highly recommend the trip but also the guide!
One of the things I really wanted to do when I decided to come to Thailand was to know more about the history and why not, make sure visit one of the unesco world heritage monuments, Ayutthaya. Geng was my guide for this experience and he was amazing. I was one of those clients that had questions about everything and he always had the facts! It was a very nice conversation and very nice experience overall. The temples were insane, to think how they must have looked in their prime was just mind blowing. Additionally, Geng was kind enough to give me more tips about what to eat where to go and what to see around Bangkok. Also all the additional spots within the tour were brilliant, Geng really knows where to take people!! Thank you very much again Geng it was a once in a lifetime experience!
I had the pleasure of spending the day with tour guide Geng, visiting different temples and historical sites. Geng is an expert on the history of Thailand and the temples we visited. He also knows how to find monkeys when we didn’t see any!
Geng was our tour guide and by far the best guide we had during our entire Thailand trip. His English was excellent and we felt that the answers to our questions were clear and gave us a much clearer understanding of Thailands culture, history, and Buddhism. Most of the tours we went on felt super basic and surface level, but Geng really dove deep and helped us learn as much as he could. Of course the hospitality was impeccable. We felt safe and taken care of every step of the way with flexibility to change our itinerary since it was just us and essentially was a private tour.
The tour was very interesting, full of unique experiences and wonderful places to visit. Our guide, Geng, was extremely knowledgeable and professional, as well as very attentive to our needs. He shared many fascinating insights into the history of Thailand and answered all our questions thoroughly and with great professionalism. He made the day both enjoyable and educational, and introduced us to some truly delicious food. At the end of the tour, he also recommended several lesser-known spots in Bangkok where we could spend our evenings, which made our stay even more special.
Well prepared tour. My tour guide Mr. Geng was very knowledgeable and helpful. I got the cultural experience with this tour and that’s why I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Ayutthaya. Thank you for this amazing experience and will visit Bangkok soon again.
The guide was kind and very kind. He taught me not only tourist attractions, but also other places in terms of service. Also, the explanation is in easy-to-understand English, and I never got tired of listening to it.
This was absolutely an amazing tour, we saw everything we came to see. (Ancient temples, monkey temple, giant Buddha) as well as some bonus things! We did our research on a couple of tours and this one had the best itinerary, as well as some bonus things that made it way more worth it than we even initially thought. The tour guide Geng was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. As well as a good photographer, seriously the whole package. I could not reccomend this tour more, it is the perfect day trip. Stop your research and just book this trip. It’s well worth it, the best out of them all.
This tour was truly one of the highlights of my trip. From the very beginning our tour guide Geng created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made everyone in the group feel comfortable. Even though a family in the group had to leave the tour before it started due to a family emergency, Geng was super helpful in leading them to finding their way back to their hotel. Geng is very knowledgeable about the history and also has a great sense of humor. The monkeys went into hiding by the time we arrived lopburi due to the hot weather but Geng assured me they’ll come out soon enough. And they did and the interaction was amazing. I definitely recommend.
Excellent trip- would highly recommend! Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide! I learned a lot on this day trip - the monkeys at Monkey Temple were a definite highlight!
This tour offered a unique experience, combining several highlights in only one day. For everyone who wants to see more than Ayuttaya and does not have a lot of time (I could have stayed longer at each place, they are all amazing)
Gang was such an important trip guide my only wish is that it went longer! He is very Knowledgeable quick witty and funny, you will have a very good time with him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I will see him next time I visit as well.
The tour was amazing and our guide the best! Is different than other tours as this one includes the monkey temple and even if the temple is small, definitely worth the visit.
We toured a gazillion temples with Jeff who was so accommodating and knowledgeable about Thai history and culture. After a scorching day and a bit too many temples he was more than understanding as he matched our pace in our exploring - outstanding service thank you!
I booked this tour a little bit on a whim, having one more free day before meeting up with a larger group of friends. I'm glad I did! First off, the instructions to meet up were very clear. The guide was so understanding when my plan to take a Grab cab made me a few minutes late and he was easy to reach. The rest of the day went very smoothly: the van was very comfortable (mind you, it was a 9 seater, and I was sharing it with only one other very nice couple haha) and cool. Because most of the sights are at least an hour+ from Bangkok, it was a great way to finally see a bit of a different landscape. Even though the full tour was 10hrs, I honestly did not feel time pass at all! Mr. Geng had the right balance between giving us information/context at each stop, and letting us meander at our own pace and take pictures. He was also always available and happy to answer all questions. We had a nice lunch at a cute cafe near one of the stops. We ended the tour on a high at the monkey temple in Lopburi. Being a guide in Thailand requires taking a course and having a license: this results in great tours with professionals who are very knowledgeable, people and detail-oriented, and proud to share the culture. Mr. Geng is no exception, and you won't be disappointed if you pick this tour :)
Great experience. The tour guy Mr Gang and driver are both nice. The van is clean and comfortable. The temples are amazing and monkeys are cute.
I was alone with Mr. Geng and a driver on the "Bangkok to Ayutthaya Lopburi Monkey Temple, Largest Buddha Tour." Despite being alone, Mr. Geng was a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable and knows all the places we visited. The program was very interesting, as were the monkeys and bats at the temple in Lopburi. I highly recommend Mr. Geng!
It was definitely an unforgettable day covering the must-see historical temples - I highly recommend this experience. Moreover, Geng is very knowledgeable in history and very fun guy who made the experience fantastic, not to mention that he took us some wonderful pictures.
Our guide had expert knowledge about secret spots, entrances, places to eat etc. and clearly has a passion for the history of the region. He's hands off when necessary and could answer any questions we threw at him. The bus was modern and very comfy, always cool when we jumped back in. In general, I highly recommend.
We took the Bangkok to Ayutthaya Lopburi Monkey Temple, Largest Buddha Tour with Mr. Geng (the day after he took us on a customized Bangkok tour). He is a great guide. He is very informative, and knowledgeable about all the places we visited. He even took us to a super cute coffee shop / cafe near the Big Buddha Temple that has great views, great vibes and great food - very affordable. It was interesting to see the ruins of them temples, and the monkeys were interesting. There were only 3 of us on our tour, so it was nice to be in a smaller group setting. I highly recommend Mr. Geng for this tour, or any other tour you are interested in doing in or around Bangkok; you won't be disappointed.
The trip was first class Pick up on time, Modern air con vehicle, Safe transport, and a visit to all sites as booked. Guide and Driver very professional and personal and safety caring A great day well enjoyed As a senior aged 85 the care was exceptional
Geng was an incredibly warm and talented tour guide, making for an unforgettable and perfectly paced day tour. I would highly recommend this tour even for DIY travellers who don't normally do tours. You see such a wide variety of breathtaking sights, eat at the cutest cafe surrounding by fields of green, flowers, a view of the giant Buddha, and and a goofy Pikachu, and get to escape the heat at great intervals to the comfortable AC of the car. Also, the tour finishes at the monkey temple, which a lot of Ayutthaya tours don't include, and this is a must visit for any Thailand trip. It is pretty tough to beat! Thank you, Geng!
Mr. Note was the best tour guide! He showed us amazing points of interest, was very personable and funny and had a lot of valuable information. He knew the perfect photo-ops and we saw a lot throughout our 9 hour day. I recommend this tour for anyone spending a couple days in the Bangkok area.
This was a truly remarkable adventure! Geng, our guide, went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable and seamless day. His thoughtfulness and genuine care for everyone in the group made a big difference. On top of that, his excellent English allowed him to explain the history and significance of each site in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. The ancient temples were awe-inspiring, offering a serene contrast to Bangkok’s bustling golden temples. The highlight for many of us was getting to see the monkeys up close—a magical way to end the day. We appreciated having plenty of time at each stop, which made the experience feel relaxed and immersive. If you’re planning to visit Bangkok, this tour is an absolute must. Huge thanks to Geng for his kindness, knowledge, and incredible hospitality, as well as to our driver for making the journey so smooth.
Great way to spend a day and learn about the ancient cultures and see the temple ruing. Totally recommend for anyone that wants to learn and see different kinds of temples and Buddhas. The last place also has a lot of monkeys that are very playful. But you have to be careful, because when they get too playful their parents might get aggressive or they themselves and start to bite.
What a fantastic unique experience! Our guide Geng was welcoming and had great facts about each location. He was friendly and ready to answer any questions we had, ensuring we had a great trip. The ancient temples are a great sight in contrast to the modern golden temples in the city and the monkeys to end the trip were such a highlight. The locations were each interesting and we spend a good amount of time at each without feeling rushed or bored. I’d definitely recommend this trip to people visiting Bangkok. Thank you to our guide Geng and also our driver!
Our guide to the Monkey Temple was truly exceptional, offering a unique and insightful experience that set him apart as one of a kind.
I encourage everyone that want to visit this country to make sure you go take some Thai classes first, we lost our tour that day because the grab driver got lost and didn't pick us on time, even do we where up since 5:30am, He didn't speak English so he didn't understand our pick up point, so we where late, I try calling but they could wait for us, I understand is not their fault , but it wasn't our fault either that they live out of tourism here and don't even try speaking the basics, they try to reschedule, but on a day we where all ready gone. They said they sorry for my situation that is high season, but pretty much in other words is like, we don't really care we all ready have your money and don't even bother to try helping you. Anyways I know this been the worst country I ever visited and I will never again waist nor my time, nor my money here again. Hope Karma doesn't hit you hard.
I think this might well be one of my favorite tours I have done during my stay in Thailand. Meeting at a key MRT station made it a remarkably easy start to the day, and after 7/10 participants ended up having to reschedule, we ended up getting what was effectively a private tour for the three of us who had turned up to the tour. What followed was a string of exciting and fascinating stops at the major religious and political sites associated with the Ayutthaya Kingdom of the 14th-18th century, visiting some of the largest and most imposing temples in the country. As a history lover, I was delighted by how knowledgeable and engaged our guide Mr. Geng was with the tour, constantly sharing anecdotes and tidbits about the various sites, with a particular love for the vairous ghost stories which were associated with the sites we were visiting. While I enjoyed all of the stops on the tour, the Grand Buddha statue with its numerous associated displays, the Lopburi Temple with its fun-loving monkeys and the two grand temples of Ayutthaya were among the most enjoyable of the stops.
