Pretty views. Roaches everywhere. Food isn’t maintained properly and they put ice in the beer. Dirty overall. We saw them not even wash some glasses, dumped out water people drank from and put them back in glass crate.

Well we didn't get to go , for reasons out of our control we had to cancel . So I send an email to our booking agent (Viator) that we needed to cancel and could we rebook for the next night or some refund .They told me that we was put as no show and if we wanted we need to contact an platform and as I said to them Viator I didn't have any other contacts .. so 1940 baht for nothing .. didn't enjoy and not happy about the experience ..and we was looking forwarder to it
Nice, but don't expect to actually see a sunset. Between the buildings and the way river runs its just not possible. However, we had a wonderful time just being on the river and enjoying the sites. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Drinks were extra but not overly expensive.
First, this was not a 2 hour cruise. It was 1 1/2 hours. Very rushed and not enjoyable. Staff were nice and friendly. Entertainment was subpar. Water was stinky we had to sit downstairs where the buffet was.
I did the night dinner cruise expecting to see the temples. They did not take us to see the Temples at all.
Boat was quite nice and a lot more newer that some of the other boats i had seen out that day on the water. The buffet food was very good, although felt very rushed its really only an hour max on the boat spent at least half an hour in the blistering sun until we boarded as they request you be at the wharf 45 min before you board . your on an open deck so the sun was intense, so if planning to do a sunset cruise will not recommend unless its in the more bearable part of the year. Nothing special or anything exciting as its a short lived boat ride. If your buying drinks make sure you have cash on you as they do not accept eftpos only once docked back at the wharf meanwhile i got hassled about not having cash on me. Not my problem!!
This was sold as a wheelchair accessible dinner cruise. It is NOT at all. There was access to the boat, and that is where it stopped. There was no ramp from the dock to the boat. No one told us at the ticketing desk, nor the loading line. There was another wheelchair user who was a shocked as I was. My wife and son were with me and I had pumped up this outing and didn't want to disappoint them. Four crew members went to pick me up in my manual wheelchair to lift me onto the boat (down 3 stairs). I am not comfortable with that at all. They then started to take me up a full flight of stone stairs. And then another. Because they spoke no English my objections were useless. No washroom access, too many people to move about the upper deck, constantly being kicked by other guests going to their seats, no view of the entertainment, very disappointing food, and then it got worse. They started pushing my chair without asking, and refused to stop when told to not to. Going back down they almost dropped me multiple times and were laughing about it. The reality is a drop on stone stairs being carried backwards would mean a very serious injury. While waiting for the docking a crew member continued to hit my chair repeatedly with his hand (the equivalent of getting kicked in the foot while standing, over and over). I asked him to stop (he continued), knocked his hand off my chair (he continued), turned around and yelled at him (he backed off, then continued). Just a horrible night. I was embarrassed I took my family on this outing.
Amazing view. Loved the experience, it was a smooth journey. I recommend it. And the pire is also good.
Fantastic value for money. I thought the food might be poor but it was excellent- a fantastic experience .Highly recommended.
Awesome night, great views, fabulous atmosphere up on the roof deck
The overall experience was absolutely horrible. The online booking confirmation did not inform that a physical ticket is to be taken at a counter which is hidden in a corner. At the counter, there is no organised way of issuing the physical tickets. The crowd just barges in at the counter with horrible push. The ladies issuing the tickets check for passenger details on handwritten sheets manually with more than n thousand entries. The cruise has so many people joining, it feels like combined population of India and China are joining. The cruise never starts on time. At the ship, there is a long queue for food often giving the felling of charity queues. Pathetic experience. Please try only if you love crowd, stinking smell, and irritation.
It was a such a terrible experience that we decided to not even board the cruise.. and we let the tickets go… not worth the pain… and will not suggest anyone we know to consider this… you get a ticket online from the official site but it doesn’t state you need to get a physical ticket … you need to figure that out and then fight in a crowd to get it… how difficult is it for them to arrange a queue… and the counter ladies takes long to find your name…and then you stand in a queue which didn’t even move until 8pm … imagining the plight of the buffet we decided to quit the trip… not worth the hassle
Absolutely fabulous experience! Well worth the value! A must do if you want to experience magnificent views & sunset on this beautiful river dinner cruise! The ease of entry & exit, the abundance of delicious food; many different food choices, complimentary drinks, amazing friendly & efficient staff & talented entertainment all together made this a very memorable experience! A complimentary birthday cake & singalong for my Sister’s 60th birthday was just ‘icing on the cake’ ! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The boat was nice, food is good and the entertainment was very nice. The sunset was stunning. We really loved it
For as many people that got on the boat, this was well organized. The crew was excellent and did a great job. Food was good, but the entertainment and views were the best part.
This boat is located in Asiatique an amusement area on the river. It is really, really, really ,very, very ,very crowded. Really. Very. The roads leading there are at a virtual standstill in the evening and once you arrive I refer to the first sentence above, it really is. Very. Then once you have managed to make your way through the crowds you may or may not, find the booth where you get your actual paper tickets. Then you make your way through the crowds to the dock area, which is nearly impassable due to the crowded conditions. The boat is scheduled to load at 19:30 but we were told 20:00. So then you can stand around for over an hour in the crowd as other boats arrive, load and depart. Or you can walk around somewhere else in the place. Through the crowds. Finally around 19:45 we were told to line up by a lady with a sign held aloft stating The Planet Cruise. This after a Planet representative insisted on taking a group picture which will be foisted on you when you finally emerge at the trips end. But first one must stand on the line for close to a half hour. Finally after 20:00 the line begins to move and all 600 passengers surge to the entrance way and board. Yes 600 or so we were told. It seemed like more at times. We made our way to our reserved table and finally pushed off and were underway. The buffett opened shortly thereafter and about 599 people, I remained seated, surged towards our buffet area( there are more than one) and slowly made their way until filling their plates. Fortunately I was saved this part of the experience by a kindly fellow traveler who brought me some salmon, meat( somewhat tough and chewy) and dessert. The cruise itself was fine but just like other boats we have been on. And it was a holiday so the river was dazzled with a light show and fireworks. Disembarking was also a long drawn out affair with everyone standing near the exit for quite some time while the boat waited for docking space. When this was finally accomplished the 600 all surged off the boat and dispersed. We went to the TAXI area and were told there was but one taxi and it was already taken and there were no tuk tuks either. So we headed to the street but luckily found a tuk tuk which we boarded. We told the driver the name of our hotel which is a big famous one right on the river and he said “Where is that?I’m Lao and dont know. I’m new here”. It took us a full 15-20 minute to finally exit the premises due to a surge in traffic and after arriving at the wrong hotel finally made it to the correct one and headed to bed. Finally, if you have never been in a tuk tuk be prepared for a hair raising drive through Bangkok traffic featuring a few near death experiences. The Lao driver was an added feature.
We did the earlier sunset cruise and it was beautiful to watch the sunset. The food was ok. People rushed to the buffet once it opened. The live entertainment was good and made the atmosphere more lively. We had a fun time and would recommend it. If you want more variety of food then do the later start time cruise.
Good food however some of the food that should have been hot was cold. Great entertainment Amazing views Reasonably priced Well organized
It's in a great location to shop, have a drink or go on the big wheel etc before hand making it more of an occasion than just the 1.5hr river cruise. The food was great and plentiful, entertainment catered to everyone, the staff very friendly and the views whilst dining was fantastic. Great to have a little dance before disembarking and having the rest of the evening at this location. Brilliant
It was beautiful! The personnel were nice and accommodated our needs. The food was cold, some dishes were too spicy.. I did not enjoyed the food. Desert was nice. We departed after the time we supposed to leave but we were back timely so it was a short ride.
Great experience. We took the sunset cruise , my daughter and I enjoyed it very much. Entertainment was very relaxing. We'll surely come back with the whole family
We thought it was good value. Buffet was good quality and plenty of choice. Only downside was it was a bit of free for all to start with, people panicking to stack their plates. It would have been nicer if tables had been invited up systematically. Unfortunately we had bad weather and the sides had to be put down. We also couldn’t get to see the sights by night that we had hoped. If we visit Bangkok in the future we would book again. The staff were excellent and good fun!
Once on board cruise was very good . Plenty of food and good entertainment. Getting on board was the chaotic challenge, especially if you are tad elderly
Had such a great time on the Planet Cruise! Seeing the Grand Palace and temple from the water was super beautiful. The food and music were really nice too. Bit crowded, but honestly, everything was so worth it. Loved it!
They sold it to us as an unforgettable and romantic experience. In reality it was unforgettable for how bad an experience it could have been both from a culinary and romantic point of view. 2500 bat per person with extra drinks and buffet dinner. Terrible heat even though we had booked the table at the external balustrade and on the second floor. Low quality food, poor service despite the countless amount of waiters and then everyone rushed to the buffet at opening with a quantity of people who did not respect the queue. An experience to forget and above all to avoid.
Very disappointed …… we ordered drinks from a waiter when we were first seated …. None came… we ordered again…. Still none came… we ordered again… still none ! The people at the next table had the same problem . When the cruise was just about finished the people at the next table got the manager and then they got drinks … we still got none . Very poor service.
Excellent modern ship. Good food although initially a bit of a scramble as no staggered service is offered. We wish we had known about Asiaisque boarding venue beforehand . We expected just a pier for the ship but it is a huge complex with hundreds of shops and restaurants interspersed with fairground rides and we would have spent an afternoon there if we had known.
Best part besides the boat ride was the entertainment! Made the evening really fun and lively. It was also fun having to duck down when going under the bridges because it had rained earlier in the day.
Seeing the city from the river and the entertainment on board was a lot of fun. The food was also excellent and everything was very well organised.
We sat on the roof top level, it was nice to dine under the night sky, the buffet had a nice selection of food and plentiful. It was a nice way to see the historic and modern riverside buildings. At $1600 thb per person I do think it should include at least one soft drink, all things considered the cruise is quite short so taking 10 mins to mess around ordering and paying to get a soft drink is annoying. Unfortunately we felt that the large tour groups were overpowering, the boarding process was disorderly and a lot of unnecessary pushing and shoving took place despite seats already allocated on the tickets. Onboard staff were giving instructions that the buffet was not yet open but they were being ignored by large groups. At the same time tour guides of the respective tour groups were instructing people to start getting food from the buffet. Be prepared for a lot of pushing, shoving and queue cutting at the buffets, it's like people haven't eaten for days.
Everything was rushed. People shoving and running for food which was not the best quality and clearly mass produced. Over 100 pax on our boat. Lady singing should consider another career. Dancers was ok except the begging for tips afterwards when taking picture with them. Not worth the money to be treated like a child.
Drone show was amazing. Staff was courteous. Music was good. Food was average. Quality and variety could improve.
An amazing experience to end our trip to Bangkok! Our first time visiting and we were fortunate to be able to make it to this river tour. Food was delicious. Weather was perfect. Loved every minute!
Very nice cruise on the river. Food was very good. Nice way to see the city at night. Be prepared if you are on the top deck to sit on the floor going under a couple of bridges. Was an interesting experience....
The journey past the illuminated sights of Bangkok was fantastic. The buffet and live music were excellent. Finding the check-in meeting point was a bit tricky if you're not familiar with the area. It could be made a bit more conspicuous/visible.

It was an awesome experience, the boat was super new and luxurious, the food was abundant and delicious. The singer was fantastic and the atmosphere was so lively, it was a blast! The scenery along the Meinan River was incredibly beautiful, it really left a deep impression on me.
Fascinating night tour! All the lighting looks spectacular! We had the sunset at the moment the sun goes down and the pictures I took were very nice!
Have a nice evening on the river! Sat a little too close to the stage very loud noise! Good food! Beautiful scenes!!!!!!!!
Excellent walk. Very organized, has to exchange the e-mail voucher for the ticket at the place of departure. Well signalled. Beautiful shopping. Punctual cruise, full of food, we finally loved! Even with rain the Service was excellent!!!
Terrible experience, very poor food, walk with too many people, which makes it impossible to enjoy the boat, even eat, is quite a crossing, as it is too many people for what they place
The nighttime experience of the Chao Phraya River really exceeded expectations! The evening boarding was just in time for sunset, when the sunset dyed the river golden red, and the temples of King Zheng on both sides were particularly spectacular in the Yuhui. The boathouse is smooth, especially comfortable in the evening breeze, and along the way you can see illuminated homes and a lively pier with fireworks. Snacks and drinks on board are also sweet and reasonably priced. The crew were warm, well explained and relaxed throughout. At the end of the day, the lights on both sides were on, and the Chao Phraya River was a different kind of gentle, really memorable part of the trip to Bangkok, highly recommended!
