We had an incredible time on our Bangkok street food tour, and Tae made the experience even better! He was extremely knowledgeable, shared so much insight about the local food and culture. One of the biggest highlights was how well-connected he was with the local vendors, which allowed us to skip lines and spend more time enjoying the food rather than waiting around. We highly recommend this tour!!

Your first stop will be Pattana Market, offering a true insider’s glimpse into Thai food culture and the bustling energy of a local market. Here, you’ll discover where Bangkok locals go for their evening meals and get the chance to sample an exciting variety of flavors. Tastes include: Thai BBQ skewers Red roast pork Egg noodle wonton with fried garlic Wok-tossed chicken noodles Mango sticky rice
To make room for more delicious treats, the tour takes you on a scenic drive around Bangkok’s Old town of Rattanakosin Island, where you can admire some of the city’s most famous illuminated landmarks, including the Grand Palace and Giant Swing.
Next, your foodie journey continues to a hidden gem tucked away in a small alley within a maze of streets. Here, you’ll savor the famous wok-tossed chicken noodles, cooked over a blazing high flame with sizzling hot oil to create a distinctive smoky flavor and irresistible aroma. This flavorful dish is a local favorite — and even comes highly recommended by Michelin!
The tour then takes you to Yaowarat, Bangkok’s vibrant Chinatown — one of the largest in the world and celebrated for its incredible street food scene. Here, you’ll have the chance to indulge in local favorites such as Thai stir-fried ice cream, crispy Chinese donuts, refreshing herbal drinks, and much more. At the end of your foodie adventure, your tuk-tuk driver will provide a comfortable drop-off back at your Bangkok hotel, wrapping up an unforgettable evening of tastes, sights, and culture.

Really enjoyed the food tour with Tae, especially at the market. The pick up was smooth, the tuk tuk was actually waiting at our hotel early. The pick up and drop off made this tour so easy. The market was a real experience, we tried multiple fruits, fish, chicken, soup, and so many other items. I started with a smoothy while waiting for the other participants to arrive. I couldn't believe how many items Tae picked for us to try - if someone wanted to try something, he got it. The grilled fish and fruits were the highlights. I don't eat pork, so Tae got me alternatives. The chicken, egg and noodle dish we had at the Michelon rated restaurant was also excellent. The restaurant was located in a back almost alley and I never would have been able to find it. Chinatown was extremely crowded - it was Saturday night. The ice cream was a little disappointing, but it was refreshing. All in all - I highly recommend this tour.
We had an excellent street food tour with Tae. We visited places we would never have known about or found. The food was great and included Michelin star ratings. Tae was an excellent guide.
Excellent tour, exactly what we were looking for. Tae went the extra mile explaining all the market foods. We found new food we loved and new food we didn’t, which was exactly the reason we wanted to do this tour, We went to out of the way places we would never find in our own, then ended in China town. Great night of eating with a quick stop at a few temples
Great Bangkok food tour. Sarah our guide was very knowledgeable with good English. Picked up by tuk tuk at our hotel then walk through Bangkok food market. Our guide made various purchases for us to eat. Then on to the Temple and Royal palace. Followed by China town walk and more food. Then return tuk tuk to our hotel, feeling quite full.
We loved this food tour and our guide Su was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Half the tour was at a local market and we tried lots of different food which we would not have tried otherwise. Afterwards we went to Chinatown and tried some street food which we thoroughly enjoyed particularly the chinese donuts! Make sure you skip lunch as you get a lot of food. We did feel bad leaving some if it but you can take some away with you to enjoy later when less full. Overall a great experience.
Great experience with Tom. Tour can make adjustments for people with food allergies and it was great to see Bangkok by night. Great way to experience lots of food and see the Old City at night. Come hungry!
Fantastic night with Su. Highly recommend to any family. Right from hotel pick up to drop off it was a fun and enlightening evening with great food. Kids loved the tuk tuk and the dessert was amazing 🤩
Pick up and drop off from the hotel made your life easy with traffic. We were full and couldn't enjoy the food that we loved. Didn't enjoy the food at the market.
Amazing experience with authentic Thai food. Tae was a great tour guide he took us to several different areas in Bangkok some of which we would have never found on our own. The amount of food was insane and delicious. Definitely recommend.
Tae was an excellent guide. Really gave us an authentic experience and was so happy to help with everything. Would fully recommend it.
This was an amazing tour. Our family of 4 were picked up by Tuk Tuk at our hotel and taken to a large traditional market. Our guide Su was very friendly and knowledgeable. All unusual foods were explained and we could try any thing. We ate over 20 different things at 3 different locations. We had our own Tuk tuks all evening with the whole tour lasted 4 and a half hours. Su was great and the freedom to try anything on our bespoke private tour made it really special. Well worth the money.
What a wonderful experience. Not just a food tour, but taken to historical sites and the the streets of Thailand where we saw people eating live squid and dancing shrimp. The tuk tuk to and from the hotel and throughout the tour was such a fun experience and the food was fantastic. Our guide Tae was so lovely and had lots of information for us throughout the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour! 5 ***
Tae was a superb host and guide. He accommodated every request. We enjoyed the food at every stop and were stuffed by the end! Make sure you turn up hungry! Wonderful experience.
Sue was an incredible guide. Her knowledge was outstanding. The food is plentiful and delicious. A must do in Bangkok.
Tae was an exceptional guide—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about Bangkok, Thai culture, local markets, and traditional food. His excellent guidance and assistance made the entire tour smooth, fascinating, and great fun. The visit to Pattana Property Market was a real highlight. This was a genuinely local market, far from the tourist crowds, where nothing had been altered or adapted for visitors. We enjoyed tasting authentic Thai food, fresh produce, snacks, and local products while experiencing the market exactly as Bangkok residents do. We then had a wonderful time exploring Chinatown and Yaowarat, with their incredible atmosphere and seemingly endless abundance of tasting opportunities. Tae knew the best places to stop and helped us discover one delicious surprise after another. This was far more than a food tour—it was a genuine, unforgettable introduction to the flavors, people, and everyday life of Bangkok. Tae made the experience truly special. Highly recommended!
It was great Tae was fantastic and Tuk Tuk driver as well
Amy was absolutely phenomenal! So hospitable and knowledgeable about Thailand and their culture. I actually got sick shortly into the trip (not from the food on the tour) and Amy made sure I was taken care of while still accommodating the others I was with. She made the tour so perfect!
My daughter and I took the tour we were the only two on the tour . Thet tour guide Tai was great it was like we were hanging out with a old friend. He made sure we tasted and saw everything at the market .Our dinner was one of the best meals we had in Bangkok it was delicious. The trip to China town was incredible..
Tae was a great food tour guide! He was thoughtful and took us to Michelin Guide spots like Andy Yang’s Pad Thai, the best mango sticky rice, Thai food at Krua Apsorn, and ended our tour at the Chinese donut at Patonggo. He helped take pictures and showed us around with a big smile. Totally recommend him for a food tour in Bangkok!
This food tour was outstanding for a few reasons. Our guide Sue was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food we had and the ingredients and cooking methods required.Sue spoke great English, and took us to a market where the locals were the main customers.we tried so many dishes and it was just wonderful. We then headed for a walk in a very interesting backpackers area.after that more food at an ex Michelin star rated cart that we would not have found in 100 years. Food again was outstanding. More food at another area again until our final stop in Chinatown also involved a Michelin star rated outlet for the best donuts. This really was the best food tour we have ever done and very unique due to the areas and outlets we visited.Thankyou Sue. By the way ,come hungry and I mean really really hungry.
Sue was the perfect guide. She loves what she does and it shows. She took us to some great street food spots, places we never would have found without her. Great food adventure.
Outstanding introduction to street food here in Bangkok thanks to our amazing guide Sue. So much fun riding around via Tuk Tuk
amazing tour! our tour guide Tae was awesome and so fun! he showed us the best foods! all very good and going to chinatown was really fun
This is the Bangkok food tour you must book! Our guide Tae was amazing - encouraging us to try look foods we never would’ve found on our own. Tae tailored the tour for our group, making sure we all had the best day! Stop your food tour research, just book this one. Yum!
Tae was great! Knowledgeable, warm and generous! Treated us like Gold and spoiled us with some extra goodies:) Highly recommend ❤️
Lots of fun buzzing around Bangkok on a tuk tuk-great bit of driving! “Oh”, our guide, took us to local market and explained local traditions and helped us select delicious picnic for dinner. Great to eat and watch all the local action( unbelievable what you can get on the back of a motorbike!) Visited spots of interest and the china town and of course more food. All delicious and came with interesting explanations from Oh. Soya sauce ice cream- who would have thought that was a thing, and tasty too! Thoroughly recommend .
We had a fantastic tour!! Tae was our guide and he did a great job showing us a bunch of cool spots all around Bangkok and had a lot of really interesting facts about the places we were visiting. Tae was very friendly and easy to talk to and gave us great food recommendations!
Amazing day with a fantastic guide, we couldn’t of asked for more ++++
This Tuk-tuk food tour was better than I ever experienced. Rather than feeling like I was with a guide who I just met, I felt like I was with a dear friend who was showing me and having me sample all sorts of delicious foods in Bangkok. Tae was warm and wonderful! At the market he showed us nearly everything… and let us choose to our hearts’ content. So much interesting and delicious food! He explained everything… gave great historical insight… and was one of the best tour guides I have ever had. We learned so much… and ate even more. The grilled fish and papaya salad at the market…. the chicken with sizzling noodles at the tiny Michelin rated restaurant…… and the mango sticky rice in Chinatown stand out as my favorites.
Tuk Tuk driver was prompt for pickup, very kind and provided a great service, he drove us around all evening! The tour included one big local market with a sit down meal consisting of items we chose while walking around and exploring the market. We stopped to sightsee, some beautiful temples before heading out for a Michelin Guide meal, this was a true local experience. After that, our Tuk Tuk driver took us to China Town where we explored some more local food and had dessert. Our tour guide Tae was so friendly, informative and always making sure we had everything we needed. He offered to take photos at every stop too! It was very nice getting to know him and learn about Thai culture. I only had 2 days in Thailand and i’m thankful I booked this tour because I saw and experienced more than I thought I would be able to. Oh, and the tour also ran a lot longer than 3 hours! I left my hotel at about 4:30pm and finished around 9/9:30. Overall, I enjoyed the tour. Thanks so much Tae and Asiatic Adventures for a very memorable experience :)
This was a great tour! The Tuk-tuk picked us up at our hotel and took us to a locals market where we met our guide Su. She walked us through the market picking out foods to try but kept our likes in mind. After that are, we went to a Michelin recommended street food vendor for a stir fry chicken and noodles with an egg. Quite yummy. Next we went to a satay restaurant and finally we walked through Chinatown and had Chinese donuts. Come very hungry. The food was all great and Su did a great job guiding us around and telling us how food has developed in Bangkok. Finally the Tuk-tuk took us back to our hotel, we were completely stuffed.
Tae was a great tour guide - so many helpful local tips and the food stops were amazing. Highly recommend
This was a great combination of trying authentic that did and a bit of sightseeing, along with the convenience and experience of being picked up from and dropped off at our hotel in a tuk tuk!
If you want a real local experience this is the tour for you! Great variety of local foods selected from local vendors and Michelin star street food! Riding in the Tuk Tuk is an added bonus.
Terrific experience, lots of fun and plenty of food! A great way to experience Bangkok, leanprn some history and about the local culture. Highly recommend this tour!!
Tom is a wonderful guide. He was full of knowledge not just about the delicious food we ate but also the culture of Thailand. We loved going to the 65 yr old restaurant … so authentic. The what w market and Chinatown were unreal. The tuk tuk was an additional bonus. We would highly recommend this tour…ask for Tom!!! Debbie and Bob. USA Debbie and Bob B.
Truly wonderful. A great introduction to Bangkok. Good communication, well organised, thoughtful itinerary. Excellent guide. Great food experiences. Readily and wholeheartedly recommended. Totally satisfied!!
This was such a blast. Soo was a terrific guide, clearly caring a lot about helping us have a great time and working to help our group of four feel informed and taken care of throughout. There is so much food, especially at the market, which was a very unique and memorable experience to be able to walk around and have a voice in what we tried. All in all it was a really fun night that was just as enjoyable as I'd hoped!
From the timely pickup and great tuk tuk drivers to our awesome guide Tae—this was a great experience. Tae took great care to explain the restaurants and dishes. Food was all delicious. We were stuffed. Tae gave us some much needed walking and sightseeing. A great way to experience Bangkok.
From start to finish the tour was exceptional. The tuk tuk arrived spot on time and despite heavy traffic dropped us off safely. The drive was an experience in itself. The tour guide (sorry forgot his name) explained the itinerary in detail. The 1st stop was a local market. We were guided through the stalls and helped to select our food. A banquet of food was set and eaten. Delicious! A short walk around the old town with photo stops. Then a michelin star street food stop with even more eating stops to follow! Come very hungry. After the tour we were dropped back at our hotel very very full but very happy after the great trip.
This tour was exceptional. Our Tour Guide Bo was fantastic. Took time to find out food likes/dislikes before taking us to market to show us local produce and to choose food. Stopped out various points of interest before proceeding to Chinatown where there was more food. Would strongly recommend fantastic value for money. Excellent choices of food and knowledgeable guide. Would do again in a heart beat.
Amazing food tour our guide Tae was amazing amd took us to some fantadtic places to eat really informative great english an awsome evening
Toom was amazing! Put us totally at ease in the hustle and bustle of the food market, hosted brilliantly by giving insightful info on new and unusual foods (to westerners anyway), and timed all the tuk tuk trips perfectly. We had temple tours and a history discussion too - Toom’s passion for all things Thai was amazing. Thanks again.
Great evening sampling and experience the Thai street food scene. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the food and its ingredients. Lots of fun.
Awesome tour. Different food, local dishes, variety of choices Food was delicious. A fun experience.
It was a deep dive into Bangkok food and culture from the inside. Soo took us to places that we absolutely would never have found on our own. The food required some adventure for our taste buds and was delicious with more than enough to fill our bellies. We finished the night walking Yeowarat Rd what an overload of taste, smell and movement! Soo was knowledgeable and passionate about the food, the culture and the people of her home town. Thanks for a great night! Oh and the tuk tuk was a blast!
Come hungry…like REALLY hungry! There is so much delicious food to be eaten throughout this food tour. Tae was an excellent guide, who catered to our every food desire. I enjoyed walking through the market and understanding how the locals shop for groceries. Everything was so fresh. In the US, we call it “farm to take”. In Bangkok, it’s simply everyday life. The tuk-tuk ride to and from our hotel and then to and from the various stops along the tour was a nice touch; otherwise, I might have had to roll my way through the streets of BKK. Chinatown at night was a particular highlight! Lots to see, do and eat there.
Fantastic tour with great food. Awesome experience. Su was a super guide, very knowledgeable. Kids loved it. Highly recommend.
We truly enjoyed our food tour. The food was delicious and we learned a lot about the food culture and Thailand in general. If you are a foodie, I highly recommend this tour!
