The luxury cruise food was subpar and ordinary and the microphone was not loud and clear during the safety portion of the cruise. I couldn’t get information about the cruise from my email.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, from the easy check-in at Pier 1, through boarding, and throughout the cruise itself. The check-in point was easy to find, and we were attended to immediately. Our tickets were issued and everything was clearly explained. We had booked upper-deck seating, and it was a pleasant surprise to also be allocated an indoor table in case of rain or if we simply wanted to move inside. As it was such a lovely evening in Bangkok, we chose to stay on the upper deck. Boarding at Pier 2 was equally well organised, with staff on hand to make sure everyone got onto the correct boat. Once the boat arrived, boarding was quick and efficient, with plenty of staff available to escort guests to their tables. A member of the waiting staff came over almost immediately to explain where the various food options were located and to take our drink orders. The buffet was fully stocked and ready to enjoy even before the boat got underway. There was an excellent variety of seafood, as well as a good selection of Thai and Western dishes. The food we tried was consistently of excellent quality, and the Japanese sushi bar was particularly good. The service throughout the evening was also excellent. Used plates were cleared almost immediately whenever we left the table to get more food. Water glasses were regularly refilled without us having to ask, and when our paid drinks were empty, we were politely asked whether we wanted another. If we said no, that was respected, there was no constant pressure to order more, which was a really nice touch. The entertainment was on the upper deck and was very enjoyable, inclusive and continuous throughout the cruise. We passed plenty of other dinner cruise boats along the river, but we certainly felt that we had some of the best music and atmosphere! Of course, the views are one of the highlights. Seeing Bangkok from the river is a fantastic experience and gives you a completely different perspective of the city. Overall, we thought the Opulence Seafood Buffet Dinner Cruise was well worth the money. There was plenty of excellent food, drinks (admittedly at an additional cost), great entertainment, attentive service and, of course, spectacular views along the Chao Phraya River. Highly recommended for a fun and enjoyable evening in Bangkok!
The itinerary clearly stated that we passed by Wat Arun and Grand Palace and that did not happen. And everyone on board were pushy and rude
Wonderful !! Good food Good vibe Good music and soft dance
We all loved this as a family. On our last night in Bangkok this was a fantastic way to say farewell. Until next time.
Nice trip We have been unluky due to bad weather heavy Rain, long waiting for boarding , A bit expensive Food not good enough Staff exellent they do anything to please you
Nice way to see Bangkok at night. Good food nice atmosphere.
The best river cruise I have ever been on!! The food was delicious and the price for what you get is unbelievable. I is a must do experience if you come to Bangkok!!
The buffet was not as good as we expected for the dinner cruise we picked. The band was good, but no Thai dancers. I wouldn’t do it again and would just tour the river by other means.
Go to this activity with a light heart, prepare to be delighted. The boat is beautiful, the staff smiling and efficient, the food is plentiful and delicious. The musical accompaniment was well chosen: quiet music to enjoy dinner with friends and family, then, on the way back to pier, its a dance party!
Nice. Good Food. It's Plenty and Clean. Note that This Review is a Consensus of 4 Travelers.
Such a nice boat with easy check. Being at IconSiam made it super nice too. The food selection was real good and the quality was okay too. Sitting on top deck was perfect as the weather was super nice. Yes there were cheaper choices but the quality was worth the little extra.
A river cruise dinner is a great activity to include in your itinerary while visiting Bangkok. I'm glad that i can tick it off the list but unlikely to ever repeat it. There are many options to choose from but they all have hallmarks of being a tourist trap. They are relatively expensive and cram the experience into a short period. You can't choose your seats, the buffet is a constant queue and scrum, while the duration is too short to appreciate the sites or the entertainment fully. The entire focus is to squeeze in two sittings with a rapid turnaround. Despite the effort invested in providing a quality service offering the pressure to process a higher quantity of sausages from the machine detracts from the experience.
Nice. Able to see the view Night time scene over dinner. Good experience with friends. Food is plenty and delicious. It's clean. Staffs are friendly. Minus point is there is crowding at the entrance and no clear instructions. Take note that This review was a consensus opinion of the 4 travelers. It's actually a 4.5 Stars.
Details were good. Got tickets at pier one boarded 90 minutes later at pier two. Buffet opened right away and there was no big rush. Food selection was good, best was the brisket and grill prawns. Drinks were ordered mobile qr and delivered in minutes. Great servicecand the band was a
Food was a little disappointing, there was some seafood at the buffet but not very much. Various stir fries and salad. Otherwise it was very pleasant on the top deck, service was very good and the whole event was well organised even if it didn't appear to be.
A great night well organised. It rained so moved very quickly and efficiently to lower deck. Unfortunately in the rush I left my hat on the seat and was disappointed that it was not found on contact the next day.
The cruise was lovely. The food was good. The entertainment was amazing. Service was also really good. I had a problem with the boarding process. Queuing at the pier, ticket checking, and getting onto the boat were very chaotic. There was no order, no guidance on direction of the queue, and a lot of pushing and shoving, increasing the risk of falling and injury for guests with mobility issues or children. Getting off the boat was equally chaotic. The pier is too small for all the people that use it to board cruises. The ticketing section is also too small. My suggestion is that the mall assigns a holding area for cruises near the ticketing and check-in section, then guests go to the pier in groups as and when their cruise is ready for boarding. This would work like an airport and be more orderly. Passengers with mobility issues and passengers with small children would then be allowed to board first, so that they are not caught in the stampede.
Boat pulled out at 8:27, not 20:00 or even 2015. Boarding is like a cattle call. Tables are assigned, but it’s a free for all at the buffet line. We got the worst table possible, as did some others. Right beside the food lines where people were jockeying for position, passing by our table but holding the plates out over the table so others wouldn’t bump them. I had people walking by and bumping into me with their hip or backpack several times. Complained about the table location and they offered a non a/c location on the outside deck. Being in the center of the boat you couldn’t see much scenery which they highly advertise as a feature of the experience. Only saw one unlit temple the whole time. Food was so so for my tastes, but others gorged. Only plus was the entertainment during the cruise which ended at 10:00 pm. So 93 minutes total. Couldn’t wait to get off. A waste of money as far as I’m concerned.
Everything was very organized and food delicious. The music was great. Staff was polite and helped taking pictures. The singer was very professional. The price is worth the time spending in such nice atmosphere.
We had an absolute blast on this stunning three-deck cruise! The ship felt so high-end, and having a live band playing music from all over the world was such a nice touch. There was a massive spread of food, and the service was top-notch. Even though my husband wasn't 100% that day, the crew went above and beyond to look after him. We were so impressed with the whole experience.
The only thing we did not like was food, it was cold, no fresh, no flavor, it was so simple. The best of all was the show and the staff was very kind and helpful.
The food is ok but it would be nice to be warmer. The night light and music was very good
Its just free low quality food, expensive drinks with a huge crowd who come in pushing through with great enthusiasm, phones out for insta shots only for a river ride that is repeated over 5 times and you see the same scenery over and over for 3 hrs watching the same people snooze off on their tables while bored passengers trying to line up an hour in advance. I know as I was one of them lining up. Oh did I forget, you will not get the seats you book.
food service was terrible. fly-infested, and absolute chaos the first 30min as everyone's out there fighting over food
I hated this—from the unclear, poorly labeled directions to finding the correct cruise location, to the total lack of structure once onboard. People were cutting and pushing in line, and the food lines felt like a free-for-all, with guests bum-rushing the buffet like they’d never eaten before. The sushi station was on the other side of what felt like a million steps, which made no sense for crowd flow. Kids were also picking over the buffet food, which was honestly gross. Overall, the food was underwhelming, the selection was limited, and the rudeness from other guests ruined the experience. For what I paid, it wasn’t worth it.
We chose the Opulence Dinner Cruise from ICONSIAM for a special family celebration, and it was the absolute highlight of our time in Bangkok. The entire experience was seamless, from the easy check-in at ICONSIAM to the warm welcome on the modern, three-deck ship. The views were breathtaking. Gliding past illuminated landmarks like Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and the Rama VIII Bridge provided a perspective of the city you just can’t get from the shore. A major surprise was the drone show we saw along the river—it added an extra layer of magic to the evening. The food was equally impressive, with a high-quality international seafood buffet that offered something for everyone. We spent most of our time on the rooftop deck, which offers incredible 360-degree views and is perfect for family photos. Between the live music, the delicious food, and the stunning sights, it was a world-class experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in style!
Incredible views of the city fabulous live band amd dancing on the upper deck. Food was delicious and plentiful. Toilets clean and the staff were attentive. Would recommend to others
The whole expels well organised we were seated on the 3rd deck with a live band. The food was plentiful and very nice. Would recommend go anyone wanted a dance a nice meal and a great way to see Bangkok at night.
We did this cruise on a Monday night after Thai long weekend holiday, so the cruise was not full nor busy at all. Having said that, we had a lovely and relaxing experience. We were on the 2nd upper indoor deck with live band that sang soft rock type of music and some Christmas songs as well- that made it more special. We did not choose this cruise for the food buffet but for the actual tour and view of the city at night- specially of the lighted view of the Grand Palace and temple. The buffet had good food selections though, we ordered separate drinks not included in the price but reasonably priced. The staff service was excellent, the embarkation and disembarkation process was organized and smooth. One of the highlights of this cruise was the dramatic arrival of the boat to the Star Wars theme music while the staff and boat crew onboard were waving to all of us waiting passengers in the pier😁- it was awesome. Highly recommended!
Book early! Unlike some cruises that guarantee roof deck tables, the Opulence Cruise will seat other guest in the enclosed middle deck, where the view of the city is somewhat obscured. The food is ok, but nothing to write home about. And the drinks were not free at all. So all in all this cruise is still good but doesn’t quite live up to the opulence that it was promising. I have taken friends to several river cruises, and the Princess cruise is still my favorite.
There are some good points about being on a lower deck - there isn't the crush to help yourself to the buffet but then the atmosphere is not as exciting. On this trip the meat in the beef stew was very fatty and even the slices of beef were only of average quality. The selection of wines that were available was very poor.
Unfortunately, our group of 8 people was unable to join the cruise dinner due to extremely heavy traffic in Bangkok. We truly underestimated how unpredictable and severe the traffic could be, especially for tourists. Although we arrived only about 20 minutes late, the cruise had already departed. We immediately tried to contact the tour operator but were unable to reach them in time. After that, we contacted Viator to request either a refund or to reschedule the experience for another day, but unfortunately, no solution was offered. What was especially disappointing is that in such unexpected and uncontrollable situations, there seems to be no support or alternative assistance available at all. This was very frustrating, especially considering that we had booked and paid for all 8 people. Our main advice to future travelers is: if you are joining a group tour in Bangkok, please leave much earlier than you think you need to. The traffic can be completely unpredictable. We truly wish the customer support and flexibility could have been better in our case.
What a beautiful experience! The cruise was stunning, the service was warm and professional, and the food exceeded all expectations. Everything felt perfectly organized and special. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Actually I booked a lot of activities on this side. Of course these people need to make money, but this one is really greedy. Become the worst booking overall. If you decide to go there anyway, you will find out
This is false advertising, there is no light show, no fireworks, just a boring float up and down the river. The bands were decent. And the service was great as always here in Thailand. But the food is mediocre, we did not even go by Wat Arun at night, they took us into a shipyard. Don’t waste your time or money!
The food was very average. There is no explanation as to where we were, or what we should be seeing. Just an average band, with some dancing.
Needs much better organization. Very chaotic from lining up to the boat and getting food. Beautiful boat, wonderful service and the food was very tasty!
Wonderful experience, well organised and friendly staff. It was my wife’s birthday and they made it extra by singing for her. Food was Devine. The seafood was so fresh!
Great evening and way to view the city! Dinner was delicious and seeing the city and the temples all lit up was beautiful! Great start to our first few days in Thailand.
Great band, dancing and beautiful views but food was just OK. It was especially fun watching how the vocalists engaged the guests especially the youngsters.
Good food, nice staff/service. Needs improvement with checking in people and better instruction with meeting place
Amazing experience. Great food, beautiful scenery and amazing cruise with amazing entertainment. 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Experience wasn’t bad just left more to be desired. Boarding process was not organized at all and the food was room temperature at best. However, the staff was incredibly nice. This experience makes a lot of bucket list so worth doing for that reason but would not do it again.
We didn’t have a bad time but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend and we won’t be going again. From the people lining up for the buffet the second that we got onboard to the cheesy show - it was fun but we could have been anywhere in the world. If you’re looking for a fun couple of hours go for it, if you’re looking for a Thai experience look elsewhere
Yes it was good but they should pre-equipped for unexpected rain that will makes the visitors feels better especially for the upper deck passengers.
Easy booking and boarding. The vessel was clean and food was handled appropriately observing good sanitary procedures. Seating was comfortable allowing a level of privacy as well as the abiity to interact with people at other tables. Price was good and the food was nicely seasoned. Entertainment was lively and good which helped created a party atmosphere. This was a great experience. Out of seven day stay in Bangkok, this was a definite highlight.
This was a great experience. The food was good. The entertainment was fantastic both during dinner and afterwards. The singers did a great job getting the audience involved. The boat was beautiful. Highly recommend if visiting Bangkok.
This boat ride experience was perfect. We told them it was our honeymoon and they dedicated a special song for us. It was a great night with great food. Cannot recommend this enough.
So it's just okay. It's a lovely cruise and a very comfortable vessel, the staff is dedicated and the food is good. So we paid specifically to guy the temple, which did not happen. It took us in the opposite direction, which doesn't have an equivalent. If we had known this would happen, we wouldn't have paid for the tickets. Guest movement is also fairly unorganized. The dinner decks are large and I would not be surprised if it could hold 100 people. So after we were seated, there was a "free for all" moment where every single person got up at once to get to the food. Considering we were sat by alphabetical sections, they should have just let people go up section by section. The food is also really badly organized. The main meal is organized between two long "tables". The plates for all the guests are in between these two tables, even though the meal portions itself are organized bow to stern. This leaves a huge glut of people right in between the two tables of food. Honestly just hire a boat ride. The food wasn't good enough to justify how hard I had to fight for it.
