I wouldn’t say it was a last minute decision to eat on this boat, but we literally had one leg on the harbour wall when the boat pulled away! We decided as we entered so late to eat on the middle deck as the upper floor was full. We didn’t know that our ticket had a designated table which was in an excellent location! Dinner was ok for buffet albeit some items were cold. The beef was good however the deserts were bland. I didn’t come for the food ultimately as the cruise at nighttime was great.

Honestly was I nightmare to bring the ticket We received an email was to collect tickets at Pier 4 and then was Pier 2 and then to go back to Pier 4 waiting the boat. At that time was thousand of people and was very difficult to walk especially with kids. The queue was massive and completely out of control … and the boat arrived also not on time. The food was ok but beef cold and overcooked honestly I didn’t liked it I eat just fries. The boat in the other hand is very nice but I recommend to dinner in the roof top inside is quite busy of people. The tour is nice and the view is impressive. I recommend to see other company One time in life is enough
We had a great time on the dinner cruise. The atmosphere was great & lively. Food was good for a buffet & has a lot of variety.
This dinner cruise was very well organized. Staff had signs to show you where to sign in as well as to help you find the correct loading pier. Once on board, you were escorted to your assigned seating. The food was excellent and plentiful—lots of variety to suit everyone’s preferences. Service was great as was the live music on the top deck. Overall, a truly enjoyable experience that was well worth the price.
We bought the Opulence Buffet Dinner Cruise through Klook. It was the most expensive tour package we bought for our trip to Thailand. Registration: We went to Pier 1 of ICONSIAM at 6:15 pm and showed our Klook voucher at the Opulence counter. We were given three stickers to put on each of our shirts. We were also given three tickets, which mentioned our reservation number and it showed that we will be seated on the rooftop. We had some time so we went to visit the ICONSIAM mall. Boarding: We came to Pier 2 of ICONSIAM by 7:45 pm to wait for the boarding, which was at 8:00 pm. It was raining so we had to go to a nearby shelter and wait. Also, there was another cruise ship that was boarding passengers from 7:45 pm. But the other cruise ship only left at around 8:05 pm. Opulence cruise came at around 8:10 pm. I asked the staff it was raining so do we have to change seats. She told me that all passengers on the rooftop seat will be reassigned to either upper deck or lower deck. Seating: Once we boarded we showed our tickets to the staff. We were reassigned to a table on the upper deck. But our seat had no view. So I asked if we could change the seat to another table behind us, which was empty. Initially the staff told me no because all seats are fixed and prearranged. But it would be possible if the guest for the table behind us did a no show. Once the cruise closed door and started moving and was confirmed that the guest for the table behind us didn’t come we were able to change our seat to the one behind us next to window with a view. Food On Offer On Day I Visited (Please note that food on offer is subject to change without notice): (1) Salad section: Nicoise Salad, Chinese Salad, Hawaiian Salad, Thai-Style Glass Noodle Salad, Kimchi and Salad Bar. (2) Seafood section: River Prawns, New Zealand Mussels, Grilled Prawns, Steamed Seabass with Lemon, Stir-Fried Seafood in Curry Powder. (3) Beef/Chicken section: Beef Steak, Hamburg Steak with Mushroom Cream Sauce, Beef Stew and Chicken Karaage with Onion Sauce. (4) Pasta section: Stir-Fried Fusilli with chili Paste, Lasagna and Pad Thai with Prawns. (5) Rice section: Fried Rice and Steamed Rice, (6) Curry section: Green curry with Chicken (7) Sashimi/Sushi: Salmon Sashimi and five different types of sushi. (8) Vegetable section: Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables (9) Bread section: Bread and Butter. (10) Soup section: Tom Yum with Prawns soup and Creamy Potato soup. (11) Others: French Fries. (12) Desert: White Chestnut in Coconut Milk, Fruits (Watermelon, Dragon Fruit and Pineapple) and variety of cakes (Green Tea Cake, Éclair, Chocolate Ball, Blueberry Yoghurt Cake and Chedder Cheese Cake) and variety of Thai Deserts. Overall, the food tasted satisfactory. But it had limited options compared to the Bangkok Sky Buffet Dinner at Baiyoke Sky Hotel. I also say limited because instead of providing new types of dishes they had 2 Pad Thai with Prawns, 2 Stir Fried Fusilli with chili Paste, 2 Lasagna, 2 Chicken Karaage with Onion Sauce, 2 Beef Stew and 2 Green Curry with Chicken, 2 Stir Fried Seafood in Curry Powder, 2 Hamburg Steak with Mushroom Cream Sauce, 2 Steamed Seabass with Lemon, 2 Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables, 2 Steamed Rice and 2 Fried Rice. For drinks they only provide you with refillable water and a small welcome drink. Any other drink you would need to pay for it at extra cost. This is the first buffet I went to with no drinks included. I also find that the food is not refilled a lot after 9:00 pm. I enjoyed the salad section, sashimi/sushi section, vegetable section and desert section. Chicken Karaage and Hamburg Steak with Mushroom tasted good. But it was quite tough to chew the beef steak. Atmosphere: Atmosphere was good because there were live bands singing while you eat. On the upper deck where we sat there were two live bands singing. When the rain stopped people could go to the rooftop to enjoy the atmosphere. There was a live band performing on the rooftop too. There was a small bar on the rooftop where they would make you a drink but you need to pay for it. Special Occasions: Was initially told that they don’t do special occasions by Ake of One Asia as I tried to arrange one for my daughter’s middle school graduation. But found out later that the live band sang happy birthday song and some guests were provided complimentary cakes. Service: Service by the staff was good. They would take away empty dishes as promptly as they can. When requested they will refill your water. Guest: Mixture of international and local Thai guests. Return: Opulence Cruise returned to Pier 2 at around 10:15 pm. Most of ICONSIAM mall was nearly closed. Therefore, it was very tiring going back to our hotel. As a result, not recommended to bring young children. It would be better if cruise started earlier at 6:30 pm or 7:00 pm. Conclusion: People have their own view. But for me the food on offer is the most important. Anything else is secondary. With the limited food option and the fact that you need to pay extra for drinks is not worth the price I paid. It seems a good chunk of what I paid goes to not only the staff but the band playing music for you.
We (4) went to embark the Opulence Cruise at IconSiam. I went to get the tickets at the Pier 1. It rained at 6 PM. The staff were friendly and helpful to us embark the cruise. The boat was beautiful. The buffet was good. The views were amazing.
This was fun, food was decent but we did not get the full experience because it rained and we did not get to see the sights in the dark which is what we were most excited for. I wish we would’ve gotten a partial refund or a free drink or something to compensate for the ruined night. Had it not rained it would have been awesome!
The cruise itself was lovely but the feeding frenzy at the buffet was totally out of control. I'm sure there could have been a more orderly way to make sure everyone got fed. People were pushing & shoving & you couldn't even get near the food. In the end I gave up & just enjoyed the sights. I totally lost my appetite.
Definitely THE best boat ride for a night cruise for a fun and romantic time with your loved ones or friends!! Spectacular food and views and very friendly and accommodating staff!
Boat is beautiful. Sushi is great. The rest of the seafood is so so. The prawn not fresh, the noodles too sweet. The meat just ok, not great...not tender.
We enjoyed a beautiful evening river cruise aboard this boat. Upper deck was spacious and the views alongside the riverside were stunning. Buffet dinner was very good. We were also on time for the water and light show at Iconsiam which was spectacular
Food was excellent, boat was very elegant, the ambience was fantastic especially on the rooftop of the boat
Despite its popularity on TikTok, the Opulence Cruise was one of my least favorite experiences in Bangkok. While it’s family-friendly, the expensive drinks and mediocre buffet-style food left much to be desired. Boarding was chaotic and lacked organization. If you’re looking for something memorable, skip this and try a local cooking class instead.
THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE HAD IN A DINNER CRUISE. The lines were too long. We were herded like cattle and I almost fainted due to the disorganized line. I will NEVER book here again!
Other than chaotic boarding and buffet line processes, the overall experience was excellent! The onboard staff were courteous and helpful, the food (we are vegetarians) was excellent, the entertainment was pulsating and the cruise views of Bangkok attractions by night were memorable.
Service was excellent. Our food was good. But... waiting on the pier after check in and whilst boarding was like being herded as cattle... and the men's toilet at the back of the boat has a glass wall facing the deck, so it you go out there to get a view of the city, you'll instead get one of male guests at the urinals.
Opulence is a great experience. Great food, ship, music, service. Highly recommended dinner cruise!!
Great service . Lots of fun . Beautiful views and sites to see. Food was okay . But they had a great layout with a lot of diversity .
We had great time!! We chose The Opulence diner cruise package, which is a bit more pricey, mostly to avoid the crowded tour groups. And it was the great decisiin we made, that brought us a great night. The boat was luxury, the staff were all very nice, the foods were of great selection and no "running out of foods" as other cruises' passengers reviewed. The crowd was great. And the highlight was the amazing musics and the MCs who were also wonderful singers. The musics were of the 70s-80s to date and all top hits. We had great 2+ hours experiencing the beauty of the river at night and also great fun with the songs, the dances and the nice crowd. Highly recommended!
Amazing food, wonderful staff, a top class high end dinner cruise experience. The bands were great. I sat at the top outside and it was perfect weather, I appreciate the detailed instructions they provided on how to get there. I had a great time!!
Boat was nice it was raining so we had to sit below deck to prevent from getting soaked. Once it stopped we moved to the top deck n views where amazing. The food was ok I wouldn't say amazing but it was decent. I would recommend because the views are worth it.
The popular dinner cruise was crowded with guests but the staff did a great job to ensure that all is well managed with the embarkation and disembarkation process. The buffet was good with plenty of foods. Drinks sold onboard were reasonably priced. There were two different bands performing on the two levels and both provided good entertainment. I have taken the Chao Phya Princess before and it is equally good but making a comparison, Opulence buffet is better.
Me and my wife went on this cruise and it was really good. The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. We could hardly feel the boat moving. The entertainment was also great. Would highly recommend.
Truly enjoyed this cruise. The music was great, food was amazing. I also enjoyed the live music and people got up to dance towards the end. I was a bit disappointed that we weren’t able to see some temples due to rain. I felt like we still could have went but the sailor knows best
We celebrated my daughter's 45th birthday on the cruise. A memorable experience on this beautiful ship. Scrumptious dinner with a variety of choices. I couldn't even visit all of the dishes offered. Great entertainment with music and dancing after the meal. Pricey but worth it, highly recommended.
The Opulence is definitely the best cruise Bangkok, Thailand has to offer. With its impressive entertainment, wide range of delicious food options, and attentive staff who anticipate guests' needs, the Opulence provided my husband and I with a truly memorable experience that was well worth every penny. When visiting Thailand, the Opulence should be the top choice for a cruise.
The cruise was very lively with live music and the food was really good with many options. I had a great dancing on the waters!!
The entertainment was awesome, the ship was beautiful. The food was delicious and a large variety. However 3 of us folks got very sick the next days. Vomiting and stomach pain.
What an amazing dinner cruise. No problem finding the location and from start to finish a professional experience. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and the entertainment was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner cruise and would highly recommend paying a little extra for this wonderful experience. Plenty of food, no need to rush with everyone else, take your time and take in the incredible views as you wine and dine. Bangkok is extraordinary and beautiful at night from the river. The grand palace, temples and the bridges. We could not have wished for a more spectacular ending to our city break in Bangkok.
It was my first time in Thailand and I had a great time. I chose a luxury dinner cruise to end my vacation with a bang! Opulence did not fail me. The food is great and has a lot of variety. Although there were a lot of passengers, there wasnt any long line to wait as they set up 3 different buffet areas for everyone. The entertainment is great too as they made the experience alive and interacting. The vessel is new and very clean. The staff are courteous and very attentive. They are very systematic with their operation and organized. Definitely a 10/10 experience. Well done!
We (4) took the dinner cruise by the Opulence at IconSiam on Monday. The cruise was beautiful and had plenty of food. We brought the tickets via LINE app. The waiter was helpful.
The food was amazing. The singer/entertainment was top notch. we sat in the air conditioning, ate great food, laughed and enjoyed the beautiful shoreline.
Regret for paying above the standard price (this cruise cost more then the rest, a higher end) but worse service. Not recommend for family with elderlies. As seen in other reviews, we were made to wait, standing in the crowds (packed like sardines aka mackerel). Yes, we are awared that the ship only leaves at 8pm and between 6 to 7.30pm, it is checking-in time. However, if you choose to check-in closer to 8pm (reduce waiting time), you will face with another problem : the HUGE crowds. there is no way you can get to the check-in madeshift counter/table at pier 2. In short, it was really hard to find where is the check-in table with such packed crowds (hundreds standing infront of the checked-in table). we had to squeeze our body into the packed crowds to find the check-in table. nightmare! Why? - this cruise is the LAST to leave pier 2. there were many OTHER passengers (at least hundreds) waiting to board the EARLIER ships (not this one). To make problem worse, i asked for chairs for my parents who are elderlies (over 80's) with knee problem (cannt walk or stand long). The opulence girl (at check-in table) simply replied "dont have" and immediately looked away to persons behind me, simply ignoring me right away!!! the dinner cruise was to celebrate father's day (16/6) and it was made worse by the check-in girl to ignore request for chairs for my father! at pier 2, there was no seat for waiting passengers! (as mentioned in other reviews). To avoid causing extreme tiredness and pains to my parents, i walked to pier 1 (at the end) and found (FIXED) seats there but too far for my parents to walk from pier 2 to 1 and back again. So, i did search and hunt for chairs AGAIN! (unbelievable!). later, i found 2 chairs a few TINY steps away from opulence check-in table! (it is a check-in counter/table for earlier ship which left the pier, so finally, empty chairs and table). Wow, opulence girl who simply ignored my request for chairs, knew about the empty chairs at next table did NOT even offer empty chairs next to her table!!!! Fine, you (young girls) dont want to offer your chairs for elderly passengers who cannt stand too long, but at least look elsewhere for chairs for YOUR OWN PASSENGERS IN DESPERATE NEED! waiting at least 30 mins standing up for elderlies over 80's with knee pain is very difficult for them (in case you have lack of empthy or understanding). No seat facilility at pier 2 is bad enough but do offer some assistance to the seniors while waiting for boarding!! Yes, the buffet is another nighmare! there was no proper queue rules, so everyone just grab food from two direction at buffet! another nightmare! this cruise is not recommended for family with elderlies. Choose a standard price cruise (only difference is this is a newer ship) and earliest cruise (to avoid the crowds of earlier ships) for your family just for one time experience. Not worth paying higher price to wait at pier, standing up for long time, packed in crowds, no empathy service to special request made and cold dishes (none of the food was served warm except for the very warm weather outdoor (practically sweating away non-stop).
Our recent experience on The Opulence river boat cruise in Bangkok was unfortunately disappointing. Despite the advertised to arrive between 18:30-20:00, the vessel didn't arrive until 20:00, leaving us waiting for 1.5 hours on the pier with no seating. This poor organization was just the beginning. Once on board, the buffet was a chaotic free-for-all. The lack of order and people pushing in line significantly marred the experience. We spent most of the cruise queuing for food rather than enjoying the river sights, which was very frustrating. We finally managed to sit at our table just as the vessel turned around and headed back to the pier. Overall, the disorganization and chaotic buffet situation ruined what could have been a pleasant evening on the river. Such a shame as this has so much potential to be a great trip down the river with just some better organisation.
Good dinner cruise, friendly staff, clean tidy boat, great music. It's a long wait to board the boat, and very busy area. The only improvement I could suggest is pointing out the sights passed, we didn't know what we were passing or its significance.
Beautiful ship, she arrived in spectacular style, we were really excited…even though we thought it left at 7pm but actually doesn’t leave until 8pm, nowhere to sit so you just have to stand and wait,,,,on a normal night I’m sure it would be fab but the night we went the tide was too high to get under the bridge to see the sights we’d booked to see, the tide is not their fault admittedly but I’m sure a captain being in charge of a cruiser must be aware of the tides well in advance and the outcome and disappointment to guests, we live on an estuary and even we know when to expect a higher than average tide so really annoyed they took the booking,,,instead of seeing the Royal Palace and Wat Arun at night which we we booked it for we had a very boring cruise of the docks ….annoyingly we could have seen the sights on a ferry ticket we’d bought earlier in the day, but it was my birthday so paid over £100 for this to be a special night. Also the buffet was like a bun fight, instead of arranging for guests to walk in one direction people were all over the place, I felt uncomfortable having to fight for food at a buffet I ended up with some noodles then gave up, the experience was awful, …..they need to arrange for guests to walk in one direction that at least would make it easier. I was expecting Thai entertainment but it was a singer, she was very good just not what I was expecting. My husband was so disappointed he’d booked it as a lovely birthday surprise and quite honestly it was a very expensive mistake.
This was an amazing experience start to finish. Excellent customer service. Beautiful new boat, good food and amazing skyline views. The live singer onboard was amazing
The trip was nice because it was a different way to view the city. We unfortunately couldn't cross under a bridge to see Temple of the Dawn, Emerald Buddha, and the Grand Palace from the river due to high river water. That's understandable though. The buffet food was ok but there was a lot of chaos as the lines were not organized and people were having to cut in front of others. The singer on the cruise was good and we danced to her singing. I would have given it a 5 if the buffet was more organized.
amazing view and foods! music & singer is outstanding! worth the price of the cruise! beautiful ship/ boat. staff very helpful & there to help. the newest and most expensive of dinner cruises, very good time snd memories, meet many beautiful peoples around the world, mostly Asian!
The boat ride was amazing! The food was very tasteful and plentiful. Going under the bridges and bending down was adventurous. The atmosphere and entertainment was exceptional!
The best dinner cruise. All staff were very attentive and lovely and helpful. Food was excellent with plenty of choices. Would definitely recommend this as its a new boat
Going on a dinner cruise with The Opulence Cruise is a very good experience. The food is delicious and replenished constantly. The design of the boat was aesthetic and cool. We loved the ambience. The crew was really nice as well.
Tacky experience. Tourist trap, not worth the money. Only good thing was the dessert ice cream. There were too many people for one buffet.
Amazing from start to finish! We watch all the dinner cruise ships come and go and wondered what our ship would be like! Finally it made its appearance! And what an entrance it was! The whole cruise was indeed opulent from start to finish. The crew, the food, the seating arrangements and especially the entertainment. The band was a nice mix of quiet dinner music to lively fun dance music. Excellent musicians and singers. The lights and scenery was most enjoyable as we went up and down the river.
Absolutely fantastic cruise with great entertainment and a lovely food selection, the ship is very elegant and the staff are super friendly
CAUTION SCAM! Ride was nice. However, since the payment of the drinks on the ship with the credit card, around 20 attempts have been made to charge it in error. There are fraudsters at work here.
Foi tudo maravilhoso, o luxo do barco, a tripulação muito amável, a comida muito boa e a banda excelente.
Really zero. People throw themselves at the buffet, misplaced, really nothing to remember. Organization to review. Tourist catch
Nice boat but I wouldn't make again !buffet fine but the setting laborious, the tables are so close next to each other that you can hardly get through and then still with full plates ! If you want to see something should sit on the roof below there are some seats without windows Would rather go up and down with a small boat once and then where to eat well !
Cruise without interest, because you see nothing of the cruise! You spend your time queuing for the buffet and going up and down stairs to access the various buffets. Tables are assigned during booking and not during access to the boat. We were placed in a very dark corner, away from everything! To flee!!
