Our guide Tae was not only knowledgeable about the cuisine, but also related history, culture and architecture. Great way to see different areas of the city, eat some great food and learn a few things. Tae also takes a great pic! Hotel pick up was very convenient.

Itinerary
The pick-up time at your hotel is 4:30 pm. Your Tuk Tuk driver will come to your hotel and meet you in the lobby with a signboard with your name on it. You will then be transferred by tuk-tuk to the tour's starting point at one of Bangkok's landmarks, The Metal Castle (Loha presat temple). You will meet your English English-speaking guide and get a briefing about the upcoming tour and then go sampling the amazing Michelin foods around Bangkok city by tuk tuk.
The First Michelin food stop will be at Kor Panich Mango Sticky Rice, open since 1932 and known for its delicious mango sticky rice dish. The shop originally served their unique dish and recipe to the Thai kings and queens. The shop was founded in 1932 by Kaap and his wife, and it was his wife who made the sticky rice. She followed the recipe her mother, who worked in the royal palace kitchen, had passed down. As we dig into the perfectly ripe mangoes, we find them incredibly juicy. We then place them onto a bed of warm sticky rice, topped with creamy coconut milk lightly tinged with sugar and salt. Finally, we add a sprinkle of fried mung beans for an extra crunch, resulting in perfection. The restaurant is typical of this area. There are only a few tables, so we experience eating while sitting on a wooden chair by the roadside amid blaring cars and tuk-tuks passing by in front of us.
Our next stop is at the Pad Thai Fai Talu restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star for the past 5 years. We were welcomed with an impressive fire show from the kitchen's ring-burner. It is fascinating to watch the chef prepare the glass noodle dishes with all the fire and smoke. The unique cooking style offers a rich and smoky flavor, thanks to a well-balanced tamarind paste and the deep flavors of the smoky wok. The highlight of the menu is the Pad Thai with Berkshire pork neck, which was simply delicious. We enjoy the meal upstairs in the restaurant's unique setting.
Bangkok's Old Town, also known as Rattanakosin, is home to some of Bangkok's most breathtaking and revered landmarks. When traveling by tuk-tuk, you'll pass by beautiful monuments such as the Grand Palace, Giant Swing, Democracy Monument, and The Metal Castle.
This classic Thai kitchen, recommended by Michelin, is a hidden gem despite its simple exterior. The dishes are unique and feature the family's secret recipes, some of which have been served to patrons such as the Thai royal family. You get to try the stir-fried pork with bird's-eye chili is tender and bursting with herbal aromas. Additionally, try their signature yellow curry with large prawns and crispy lotus root strikes the perfect blend of sour, spicy, and sweet.
We proceed to Yaowarat, also known as Dragon Street, one of Bangkok's liveliest neighborhoods. Bangkok's sprawling Chinatown is full of energy and is one of the most fascinating places in the city. This place is also a haven for tea lovers. Trying herbal tea here guarantees the best quality. Sample the Chrysanthemum tea, as it can refresh and cool your body. We also stopped by a small stall called Pa Tong Go Savoey, which has been serving Thai fried donutsin Yaowarat for more than 4 decades and has earned a spot in the Michelin Guide. Taste this tango of a Chinese deep-fried dough with gooey sweet sauce. Apart from frying, they grill it to make the exterior crispy. We recommend you try and dip it in the delicious sweet pandan sauce. *Please note all Mondays Chinatown is closed, and subsitute food tasting will be another place. At the end of your Michelin food tasting and exploration, the tour concludes and your Tuk Tuk driver takes you safely back to your Bangkok hotel.

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Bo was knowledgeable and fun. The drivers did an excellent job. We really enjoyed the various foods we tried and there was plenty of it.
Great experience! We loved Bo and Yoki. It was such a great way to start our trip, we loved the food and we loved learning about the history and culture. The tuktuk rides were so fun and unique to Thailand! Such a great way to feel more immersed during our visit.
Excellent experience with great food options. Riding around in the tuk tuk was fun and a very efficient way of getting from point to point. Our guide, Mas, did a great job on giving us this history and local knowledge for each location and she was also very accommodating with customizing orders for us based on dietary restrictions and food preferences.
Really great evening with Tae leading our group of 6, included delicious food and plenty of it at authentic venues. Tae also provided tour of local temples and local knowledge. Would recommend
The guide was amazing, the food was amazing choice of Thai flavours, and the restaurants lived up to their Michelin awards. And the experience was fun as well, zigzagging through the traffic, while learning about the locals and culture.
The food and tour were excellent. Will definitely recommend it and do it again with friends visiting 👏🏻
There are so many Bangkok food tours from which to choose! We are so glad we picked this one as the restaurants selected have been consistently recognized for their excellence. Tae, our guide, provided clear explanations of the all the foods sampled and each of the establishments visited. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of and remained comfortable throughout the entire tour. Several members of our group had unique needs and he discreetly made sure they were tended to—very professional. Hotel pick up and drop off was an added bonus, and the tuk tuk ride was fun!
This was a wonderful experience. We made multiple stops at iconic, multiple Michelin star culinary spots. Highlights ranged from a savory, slow-simmered regional specialty to sweet treats, like mango sticky rice at a shop operating for almost a century and Chinese doughnuts. Tem was very kind and knowledgeable about the origins of Bangkok. She is very thoughtful and even was prepared to give our tour group ponchos in case of rain. Luckily, we didn’t need them and were able to enjoy our tour. It was a great way to learn about Thai cuisine and culture. Our driver, Jojoe, was kind and gracious by not only protecting us from the rain but the streets of Bangkok. Wonderful time indeed!
What an INCREDIBLE experience! If you're visiting Bangkok, Asiatic Adventures Tuk Tuk Food Tours is an absolute MUST! Our hosts, G and Bo, were fantastic! A special shoutout to Bo, whose energy was absolutely contagious! ❤️ She was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, sharing fascinating facts about Bangkok's history and culture using a binder full of historical information and photos. We explored Old Town Bangkok and Chinatown, passing beautiful landmarks like the Grand Palace and Wat Pho while stopping at Michelin-recognized restaurants along the way. And the FOOD! 🤤 We enjoyed everything from Pad Thai and prawns to mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. Everything was DELICIOUS, and trust me, you will NOT leave hungry! One of the best parts was riding through Bangkok in traditional tuk-tuks! 🛺 Our drivers were wonderful, allowing us to leave our bags in their vehicles while we ate and explored. The tour was perfectly organized, alternating between food stops, short walks, sightseeing, and tuk-tuk rides. They even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel! Our small group of about six or seven people was friendly and energetic, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It genuinely felt like exploring Bangkok with friends! Overall, an EASY 10/10! 🌟 Amazing food, fascinating history, wonderful people, and an authentic Bangkok adventure. Huge thanks to G, Bo, and our tuk-tuk drivers for making this such a memorable experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 🇹🇭❤️
This was a perfect way to begin our journey in Bangkok. Great introduction to Thai cuisine. The food/restaurant choices were outstanding. Did not go away hungry. Mas, our guide, was delightful.. we appreciated he insight into both the food culture and the history of Bangkok.
A great experience from start to finish with handy pickup from the hotel and a great ride through the city on the tuk tuk. Our guide Tae was so good, very knowledgeable and a real nice person. Then the food, we were taken to some great small restaurants around Bangkok that we would never have found by ourselves. Well worth the time and money.
We met Joe, our tuk tuk driver at the scheduled time and location. He was polite and friendly. We really didn’t know what to expect, but trust me, racing through Bangkok with Joe in control of the tuk tuk was truly an adventure. At our first stop we met Sarah, our tour guide. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating so we did not visit the Buddha temple at that stop. Sarah was apologetic, but promised we would see other temples after the restaurant stops. Sarah is well versed in the history of Thailand and provided an education on that history throughout the tour. An added benefit was her genuine friendliness and politeness. She made us very comfortable walking through the streets of Bangkok and browsing through shops. I know this review is intended to describe the food, and it was delicious at every location, but people make a difference too. In our case Sarah and Joe made us feel welcome in a foreign land, all the while introducing us to tasty cuisine along the way. As my title says: entertaining, informative, and delicious. Oh, yes, a lot of fun.
Amazing experience, it’s my first time in Thailand and I couldn’t ask for a better start of the visit. The food is really stunning, you visit some very nice places of the city, and a very big thank you goes to our guide Bo that has a deep knowledge of her country and you can feel the love for it. Thanks everyone for the amazing experience.
What an amazing experience and our guide tae was fabulous he looked after us all incredibly well and was both very friendly and knowledgeable and the food is out of this world !
What a great Bangkok experience. From the tuktuk picking us up from our hotel to dropping us off with full bellies it was fun & informative. Lots of local knowledge about the food and the area from our host Tom. A great way to experience food from places you would never find on your own.
Tae was a great guide! He shared great information! The tour pace was perfect! A little rain was nothing! It was a lot of eating so come hungry! We had a great group of fun and laughs! There’s a lot of Tuk Tuk tours but this I would do again!
Tae was our guide! Excellent experience from pick up to all our stops! He was knowledgeable and fun! There was so much food and drinks included! Great package!
We can honestly say this Tuk Tuk Michelin Dinner experience was fantastic! Our tour guide Tae, was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the entire evening truly special. We felt well taken care of throughout the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bangkok and looking for a unique way to discover the city!
Great experience with much more than just food. We started with an amazing mango sticky rice, followed by a quick stop at a nearby temple. The drivers were fantastic in getting the group around and Tae did a great job to make sure we were taken care of. He handled ordering everything and even took us down to a couple night markets. We had a few questions on the tour about things we had planned for the following day. Tae followed up after and sent a bunch of great places our way. Would definitely recommend
We've been to Bangkok several times, but this was our first food tour and it exceeded expectations. It was so nice having someone else curate the itinerary and take us effortlessly around the city. The hop-on, hop-off tuk tuk experience was fantastic and a fun way to see Bangkok at night. Our driver was on time and courteous. A huge thank you to our guide Tae, who was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging throughout the evening. He gave us options along the way, including visiting the backpacker area instead of the palace, and shared lots of great recommendations for places we could return to on our own later in the trip. The food was excellent, especially the Pad Thai, crab omelette, and Chinese donuts, all washed down with refreshing smoothies and local fruit and flower juices. We were in a group of 8, which felt like the perfect size, and we had great fun chatting with everyone. Highly recommended, even if you've visited Bangkok before. Thank you Tae for a great evening! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What an unforgettable adventure! A huge thank you to Tom, G, and the entire team for turning an evening in the city into such a memorable experience. Every bite was delicious, the warmth and knowledge of the team made each stop feel special, and zipping through the streets in a tuk-tuk was pure joy. A wonderful blend of flavors, stories, and fun—an experience I’d wholeheartedly recommend!
We had the best time and our guide Tae was fantastic! Great food, walks and discoveries!
Bo was our tour guide. Just a sweet and kind lady overall. We opted for the hotel pick up which was clean and timely. We took the ride to the first location where we met up with the guide. Bo provided local knowledge and explanation for each restaurant, dish and background on the locations. She pointed out great photo opportunities and facilitated discussion and connection between us and the our tour participants. Great food, great tour guide! I would recommend.
We had just a couple of days in Bangkok and were travelling with my wife's older father, so we wanted a tour that allowed us to get a feel for the city, try its famous street food, and see a few sights. This tuk-tuk tour was just perfect! We went to some great eateries, including off-the-beaten-path spots, and got to try Thai favourites such as pah Thai and mango sticky rice. We also stopped at the Grand Palace and another temple, and went for a walk through Chinatown, learning lots from our awesome guide along the way. Would definitely do this again! Come hungry.
We had a fantastic experience with Amy. She was so friendly, enthusiastic and informative. We saw parts of Bangkok we would never have seen and ate some delicious food along the way. I would highly recommend this experience!
After having done multiple food tours in BKK and all around Thailand I can confidently recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience excellent Thai food during their vacation. Our guide Bo was very accommodating and knowledgeable, she gave us many details on the food, the city and the history of Thailand and answered any question thrown her way confidently. Her excellent English skills and her enthusiastic and friendly way of explaining everything made the tour very special and enjoyable. If you get the chance to have her as your guide, I highly recommend to take it. The food was as excellent as expected and guide Bo did a very good job accommodating the food allergies and dietary preferences in the group. My personal highlight was the mango sticky rice at K.Panich, I have not been able to find any better place for the famous Thai dessert, the texture and well rounded flavor remain unmatched to this day and is occasionally haunting me in my dreams.
We had an absolutely fantastic lunchtime Michelin Guide tuk-tuk food tour! It was such a fun and unique way to experience Bangkok and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Tem, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. She made the whole experience so enjoyable, sharing lots of interesting information about Bangkok, the local food and culture. We visited some amazing food spots that we would never have found on our own. My favourite dishes were the Pad Thai, which I particularly loved watching being made, and the mango sticky rice, which was absolutely delicious! Travelling around Bangkok by tuk-tuk added to the excitement and made the lunchtime experience even more memorable. Everything was perfectly organised, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend this tour, especially with Tem as your guide. A brilliant experience!
Was a amazing experience! Sara was our tour guide and she gave us a lot of info afim and attention . For sure I will recommend this trip !
Amy did a wonderful job introducing us to some delicious food around Bangkok. Her warm personality and attention to detail helped make this food tour an experience to remember. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring Bangkok’s rich culinary history and incredible flavors!
Tae is a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We though we only going to experience amazing food (which we did) but Tae also showed us lots of cool places and locations which we would never find ourselves. Really awesome guy and so was our driver. Thank you
Our wonderful guide, Bo, took us on an unforgettable tuk-tuk food adventure through Bangkok! Our driver picked us up right on time, and our first stop was a famous pad Thai restaurant. Both the flavors and the portion were absolutely perfect. While we waited for our food, Bo told us about the chef and explained why this particular dish had become so famous. An easy 10/10! Our second stop was a packed local restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine. As soon as we sat down, the dishes began arriving: an appetizer, a flavorful soup, and an incredible crab omelet. I don’t remember the names of everything we tried, but OMG—it was all absolutely delicious! Next, Bo took us to enjoy the most amazing mango sticky rice, followed by famous Thai doughnuts served with a special dipping sauce. 1,000,000/10! At every stop, Bo shared fascinating stories about the food, its preparation, and how Thailand has embraced a wonderfully diverse culinary culture while preserving its traditions and love for food. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour—and Bo as your guide! It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Bangkok.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Tuk Tuk Michelin Star Restaurant Tour. From the moment they picked us up at our hotel, we knew we were in for something special. Our guide, Bo, was fantastic - knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely funny throughout the entire tour. What really made this tour stand out was the depth of experience. Bo didn't just take us to excellent restaurants; she gave us real insight into Michelin recommendations, how the star system works, and the thought that goes into creating each dish. We even got to see firsthand how the dishes were prepared, which was a highlight. She also took us outside the Grand Palace and shared fascinating history about the area, which added wonderful context to the whole experience. The tour concluded at a wonderful spot where we had patongo - the perfect sweet ending to an incredible culinary journey. It transformed the experience from just eating great food into truly understanding Bangkok's food culture and history. The whole tour was engaging, fun, and felt like we were being shown Bangkok's culinary scene by someone who genuinely cares. If you're looking for a unique food tour that combines great dining with real education, history, and personality, this is a must-do.
Great experience! Come hungry b/c there is plenty of food! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour if visiting Bangkok for the first time.
The evening started with our Tuk Tuk driver picking us up from our Hotel and started with desert - a great way to start the evening (and the restaurant closes at 5pm and you don't want to miss it). Our guide arranged everything for us for a smooth night. All the restaurants served up fabulous dishes, our group had a very merry chat all night, we visited food markets that sold interesting things and tried things I doubt we would see in other places. At the end of the night we were dropped back, having eaten well and enjoying it with others from around the world. Would do this again if we are back in Bangkok.
Excellent tour with our group, they accommodated our needs, variety of options highly recommended, the Pad Thai is a must!
It was a very well-organized experience. We were picked up from our hotel and spent a wonderful day in the heart of the city accompanied by great food. Our guide, Tae, was experienced, attentive, and really understood our needs. We explored like locals and were extremely satisfied.
Oue guide was Bo and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic.. We cannot recommend her highly enough. If you have the opportunity to have her as your guide, do it. The food was, of course, fabulous and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Bangkok.
We loved everything! The tuk-tuk ride, the delicious food, our lovely guide Bo, and the tour itself. It was fantastic—even better than we expected! Thanks for everything.
We were worried about this experience because my wife is handicap and she walks with walking sticks. Additionally, we do not spicey food. So we have to order everything with no spice. I also have a shellfish allergy The tour guide was very accommodating. She made sure we had food that works for us. They took their time with us walking to places. They did their best to pull right up in front of the building. We decided not to explore China town at the end and they took us right back to the hotel. It was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend them.
If we could give this tour a 10000/10 we would! Amy was fun, knowledgeable and an overall great vibe! She showed us all the Michelin restaurants and took us to china town where we were able to try the famous Chinese dough. If you are a foodie and love to explore this is the tour for you!
We had a fantastic time exploring Bangkok while eating some amazing dishes. Our guide was very friendly and helpful. This is a great experience if you’re wanting a unique day experience.
This was such a cool experience! Who knew that there were so many Michelin star restaurants here! The food was so flipping good! Our guide Sara was phenomenal in her knowledge of the area and was just so friendly and helpful. 10/10 I would do this again!
We do lots of food tours and this was right up there. Quality of the food was exceptional, some local history thrown in and a great guide
Experience was EXCELLENT! ate soooo much great food and learned so much history, the guide and driver were very nice as well! we highly recommend!
This is a must do in HCMC - zipping though the city and tying a selection of the best dishes. Mango, Jane and Iris were fantastic hosts - their knowledge of the city and food scene made this a truly memorable experience.
Great experience with our guide Tae with also took us ti visit a temple in between yhe food visits. Thank you Tae for sharing your knowledge with us. You made our day. As for the food, it is good but nothing incredible. Tour is quite pricey for what you get but fun anyhow!
Our guide Bo was great at making this a brilliant introduction to the food and culture of Bangkok. Fabulous food.
