Decided to book this at the last minute as I had only arrived at Bangkok a few hours prior. I did not regret it! Sophie was a fantastic guide. She introduced us to really great food spots in Chinatown, and even got some history about Thailand/Bangkok as a bonus! I highly recommend this food tour :)

Amazing food tour. Best food I’ve had here. The tom yum soup was insane. Really great tour guide. Perfect thing to do to also learn about the history of the city! Highly recommend
The guide Sophia was very energetic, she made us have an excellent experience about the food and history.
We had an excellent experience, the food was great, the atmosphere was very festive because we went on Chinese New year. Our guide Sopa was so sweet and knowledgeable. She made us feel like we were just going out with another friend.
This was a wonderful experience. Not only was the food fabulous but the tour guide was spot on. She met us in a convenient location right off the MRT with water in hand to begin our journey. With multiple stops each with their own flare, feel, and delicious fragrance ranging from savory to sweet. Some, to be expected flavors such as pad Thai and mango sticky rice and some amazing surprises that will keep our mouths watering for more (you will have to do the tour to find out). If you’re looking for a fun evening and delectable food then this is the tour for you.
Sophie was a great guide that shared not only a good tour but great conversation about thailand!
Amazing tour guides! Such an amazing experience and great food! We got to try multiple food stalls, learn about history of the area and culture! Left so full!
Unfortunately we had a poor experience with this tour and the guide Bomb. We experienced significant delays during the tour and had to resort to looking at temples rather than eating as out tables were not ready. Whilst some minor delays between eating places would be ok, we waited in the streets for over 90 minutes in total, some people left because of this. We also could complete the tour in the order that is was supposed to be so ended up eating desert early in the evening to kill time. Bomb our host tried his best, but seemed inexperienced to deal with the situation and his English was not great so we didn’t really learn much about the dishes served. We have since been told the delays were due to it being “a busy time of year”. Not really an acceptable response in my opinion. We have completed many food tours before and have never experienced such delays.
This food tour was a lot of fun with Sophie. She was very nice and informative about a lot of local life, traditions and life style. We ate at a lot of small local places, not frequented by a lot of tourists (except the last place). She was very generous, buying us a few extra treats about which we expressed enthusiasm (but was not a part of the tour). We all had fun. She even took us to a different temple, not on the tour and gave some historical perspective. Highly recommend.
Sophie was amazing. She is very knowledgeable, kind, energetic, qualified to be a tour guide. Loved her tour, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Thailand’s China town.
Sophie was an amazing host who tailored the food to our preferences. Not only was the food great that she selected, she also was fun to talk to. We had an amazing experience.
Great food stops - good overview of Thai food and its different influences. Some nice cultural stops along the way too, with lots of local knowledge.
Sophie was awesome! She really made the tour. She is bubbly and fun and very knowledgeable about Bangkok and the food she had us try. My favorite food we tried was the soup. Absolutely incredible!
This gets you to the real places to eat the real food. It’s a great way to experience Chinatown. You also get to feel the culture and see a few temples .
Alex was amazing! He was very informative and fun! The food was delicious as well! I would definitely do this tour again!
This food tour, and especially our guide Sophie, was the highlight of my first visit to Bangkok! With all the street food stalls and restaurants to choose from, I had no idea where to go or what to order. The food tour made exploring the Bangkok food scene and trying new places and dishes lots of fun. The tour was well-organized and everything we ate was delicious. Sophie is knowledgeable about food and Bangkok. She has a great personality, too! Sophie even gave me personal tips about visiting wild and crazy Khao San Road after the food tour. (It really was crazy).
I have been to Bangkok multiple times. My first experience with a food tour. I decided to sign up with this company. Our guide Kay is a professional and acknowledge guide who tell us about the history of the local area where he was born and also the history and culture of each food stop. This tour last around 2 hours and it was fun and enjoyable for those who are interested in foodie.
James was nice but there was a steep language barrier. It was just our group of 4. The foods were basic Thai cuisine with nothing exciting and we went to the same spots as other food tours. Guide took group photos of us but we never received them afterwards.
The tastings were good and my guide was knowledgeable about the history in Chinatown and showed me how to use the subway.
Sophie was fantastic. Great fun and big personality. It is always difficult if some of the group aren't interested so she showed great professionalism. The food we ate was delicious and it helped us prepare ourselves for our travels around Asia
Sophie was so sweet and great. Tour was very informative and she kept it fun! The food was also delicious! I would definitely recommend!!
Sophie treated me to the best food in China town. She is so sweet and knowledgeable and fun! I loved her history lessons to go along with the food and surroundings.
Great experience with Sophie who was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Went to places we would never have found on our own.
This was a wonderful experience! Chinatown on our own would have felt overwhelming, and having a welcoming guide connected to so many local vendors was incredibly helpful! There are so many delicious foods that we would have missed without this tour. James (our guide) also showed us some of the historical parts of the town too and shared fun stories between each food. Would highly recommend!
The food was great and there was lots of it (good portion size). A little challenging to understand the guide but he was super enthusiastic and kind. Overall pleasant experience.
It was my wife birthday so I decided to take her on vacation in Asia and took her on a food tour to celebrate. Our guide name is Kay, he was grew up and a local in the region where he does the tour. He has been doing this for 13 years, he taught us about the history of foods and how it was influenced from other cultures. The menu are delicious especially the meat skewed, fried dough and Tom Yum soup. I want to personally recommend to join this tour as this is the best experience we have ever had in Asia.
Our guide Kay is a knowledgeable about the history and food and humor during conversations. The list of foods are so yummy and delicious. These places are some hidden and the front stores which you never would have try on your own by the look of it. We are fortunate to have joined this tour and try the foods at these stores.
There is a total of 5 people. Our guide James brought us to each different location and local stores for delicious appetizers. The foods are a mixed of different cultures and tastes. Our favorites are the dim sum, satay and pork rice.
Fantastic food tour. Kay was our tour guide, and he was terrific. He has been guiding food tours for 12 years, and it shows. Well-informed, friendly, and flexible. We’re a family of five (kids range 11-14). We had hesitated doing this tour since we had done another food tour the prior day, but we’re so glad that we did. Tour started in the back alleys of Yaowarat with a Michelin bib gourmand dumpling shop, and the food got better from there. Satay, pork stew, tom yum soup, shrimp cakes, another Michelin bib gourmand breakfast food (like a Thai donut), dim sum (from the OG dim sum restaurant in Bangkok), and dessert. We were stuffed!
If you enjoy street food cuisine with a mixed of Thai and Chinese, now became Thai national dishes. You shouldn't miss this tour. Our James brought use to several area in Chinatown to taste multiple menu and he is professional telling story of the area. The desserts are good as well. I highly recommend this experience.
James, the host, basically could not speak English, which is a minimum requirement i expect of an English tour. Besides, the planning was disorganized with long waits at each spot. The food was not worth the value, and the overall experience was simply not satisfactory.
James is an absolutely lovely tour guide. In our opinion, this tour gives you great value for money! We had a fantastic time :)
We did this tour on our first night and it was great. It gave us a good orientation and feel for Chinatown and introduced us to a few of the delights.
This was the second food tour we did after the Tuk Tuk food tour, and we generally liked it more. We had Chai as a guide all to ourselves, and he was very good. He knew every bit of information we wanted to know about the city, the country and the food and gave us plenty of recommendations for later. The food was tried was phenomenal and the area you explore is very lively. We would recommend it to friends.
Sophie was a great guide, knowledgeable and had good stories. Also flexible with my diet (don’t eat seafood, but my wife does). Also nice to get out and see a bit of Chinatown.
Bangkok is famous for its vibrant night markets, offering everything from street food and fashion to souvenirs and unique local goods. These markets come alive after dark, providing a lively atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. Here are some of the top night markets in Bangkok:
So enjoyable. Great group and the food was excellent. Wood thoroughly recommended. Well worth it and great how we could sample many different types of food from so many different venues. Looking forward to receiving the photos the guide promised to send us.
He was knowledgeable & friendly and took us to a few restaurants in the Chinatown. At the end, he walked us to see another temple nearby at night. I bought roasted chestnuts and mango sticky rice!
Our guide Sophie was really friendly and knowledgeable - learnt alot about the food scene in Thailand. We got to eat so many different foods on the tour that I wouldn't have otherwise thought to try and enjoyed them all. Sophie was really good at adapting dishes to suit food preferences of group members too. Really recommend this tour!
We had an excellent evening tour with Sophie! She led us to many places we never would have found on our own, fed us delicious food, and kept us entertained all evening. Come hungry and ready to walk, lots of food, lots of walking. Be prepared for the hectic (and dangerous) streets of Chinatown.
Great food in central Chinatown A nice variety of good selection The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us to but tickets to a local performance
It was a wonderful evening on this tour through and around Chinatown with a wonderful guide. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy the sights, sounds, flavor, and history of the great Bangkok Chinatown.
very nice, guide very good, have energy and lots of interesting things and history. would recommend is fun. good food variety
Food, food, and more food. This tour was an excellent way to sample a variety of street food from Chinatown. Amazing variety of dishes and spices. Our guide explained each dish and was very efficient.
We booked this with our teen son and we all loved it! Great way to experience local food. We booked the group tour vs the private tour, but to our surprise we were the only ones. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also gave us a history lesson which we appreciated.
Chai was a knowledgeable and charming guide. We tried numerous foods from all over China town, which were all unique. We even managed to fit in some sight-seeing at the end. It was a fantastic evening!
The food was really good, we got to try a variety of different dishes at different locations that I wouldn't have otherwise gone in try. Our guide was lovely, very knowledgeable about the city and history. A short tour is great for the hot weather as well.
This was a great food tour and it took the perfect amount of time, any more stops or food and it would have become unmanageable. Some of the dishes were some of the best I ever tasted (dumplings especially). My son is a vegetarian so I didn’t include him in the booking but the guide helped us find alternatives for him along the way.
Food was great and Sophie was amazing. Sophie was really passionate about her city and all it’s history. She new her food and really made the experience special for us.
