Family activity with two 15 year olds. We all really enjoyed our tour of Bangkok at night including visiting the flower market, Wat Saket. Our guide was friendly, informative and paced our ride to our ability. We ended with a delicious meal. I would highly recommend.

Itinerary
Lumpini Park is an inner-city haven of tranquility, fresh air and shade - offering city dwellers the perfect connection to nature. Named after the birthplace of the Lord Buddha in Nepal, the park is more than half a million square metres big, and the habitat of various flora and fauna. Historically, it dates back to the 1920s and was set to be an exhibition centre for Thai crafts and flower displays. Although this original vision was never fulfilled, Lumpini Park has over the years grown into the endearing centre for outdoor leisure activities for Bangkokians, who would convene before and after sunset to enjoy a round of jog, light workout, aerobics and a host of other recreational activities.
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center or also known simply as Queen Sirikit Convention Center, is a convention center and exhibition hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The center is regarded as a public asset according to the Thai Ministry of Finance's Treasury Department. However, it has been managed by N.C.C. Management & Development Co., Ltd., a private firm, since its opening in 1991. The QSNCC was built to host events, especially conferences and exhibitions and has hosted numerous international events. The QSNCC is also home to the Plenary Hall, a theatre style hall, which has a capacity of 6,000 persons.
We start and finish the tour here at our lounge/office at Rama 3 road, Soi 71. Select your bicycle and gear up for a mini-adventure filled with bicycle fun.
One of Bangkok’s best-kept secrets is Khlong Toey Fresh Market, a chaotic, sprawling food market. It’s a travel photographer’s dream, packed with market vendors offering live produce, fresh fruit and vegetables and cooked local dishes. Eye-opening and enthralling, it’s a great insight into how locals live – and to where your moo manow really comes from.
Benjakiti Park, a spec of green amongst Sukhumvit’s high rise hotels and office blocks, is one of Bangkok’s most popular parks, offering a haven for joggers, cyclists and anyone in need of a quick escape from the big bad city. The park is dominated by a sizeable lake, and the two separate lanes around the perimeter have been designed specifically for segregated cycling and jogging (which for many, is more like walking thanks to the unrelenting evening heat). The water’s edge is also nicely framed by some pretty, well-maintained plant life and colourful flowers adding to the tranquility.
Is a typical Thai local temple where our guide will explain you some of the basics of Thai rites and culture.

B was a great guide helping us navigate the traffic, roads and paths and telling us about where we were and sharing Thai customs and traditions and some of his story. Pace is quite slow as you walk around a market and stop in the parks and a local temple (more of a complete community centre) and in the poorer parts, but that’s fine as you can see more of what is happening in the real Thailand. Lunch was good but the restaurant we used had a lot of cats(not great for us)
It was an amazing experience biking in the city of Bangkok, taking us through the city and the outskirts of the city center. We had a great guide called Bee who explained all the important sites during the tour. It was a wonderful way of exploring Bangkok. Thanks to the whole cycling team for this memorable trip.
The tour guide was really nice and informative. The low rating here is for the bait and switch that this bike tour company pulled on us. I specifically booked this bike tour to see the Benjakitti Park and Lumpini park, among the other locations listed in the itinerary. We didn’t see any of the location listed on the itinerary. It was a complete disappointment. I would not recommend this tour company or this tour based on false advertising.
We had a truly exceptional experience on this cycle tour around the city. The tour guide was brilliant and really such a great guy. The pace was good and there were stops at good intervals. We saw parts of Bangkok that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen or experienced. Really grateful to have done this.
I think it's the best way to explore Bangkok (half day ride only) from a local's perspective and on a bicycle. We rode through the morning rush hour with street vendors selling breakfast along the pedestrian walkway, visit a local buddhist temple, in between squatter homes and villages. Unconventional local spots and parks where tourists would not know where to go. Drinks and lunch is included in the package and we rode at our own pace. Recommended 100%.
I was staying in Silom near Chong Nonsi BTS. I booked the Bangkok City Culture tour with Thailand biking after seeing a video of them on the Global Travel Mate u tube channel. It included riding along the elevated bikeway between Benchakitti Forest Park and Lumphini Park. Which I wanted to see. There were 4 of us and a guide on this tour. After being kitted out with helmets and bikes we set off. I wasn't comfortable with the upright style of bike on offer. So asked and was given a mountain bike (a Merida). One that I was more familiar with. The bikes were all of excellent quality. The tour had a bit of everything. We cycled through Bangkok traffic which I found daunting at first but as we progressed got used to it. Traffic in the city is mainly gridlocked & slow moving which helped. We stopped off at a local temple and had a rest break at Talad Khlong Toei market. Highlight of the trip for me was Cycling through Benchakitti park (gorgeously green) with fabulous bike tracks and then taking the elevated section to Lumphinee. That was fun and traffic free. At various points along the way we got the chance to stop and take pictures. After that it was back through the traffic to the office. The guide we had was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Whenever we stopped he would tell us a brief history of the area while pointing out local landmarks. One small criticism. While we were biking through traffic the guide and the first rider got away from us (the last three riders) several times. The distance was about 30 to 40 metres. Eventually noticing that we weren't there they stopped and waited. A small thing but worth mentioning. It was well run and organised. I enjoyed it, had a lot of fun, and plan to come back. Oops, nearly forgot. The staff showed us where to catch The BRT bus from WAT DAN station (just up the street) all the way back to Silom Where you can access the Chong Nonsi BTS. Worth remembering.
We had a great time on the Bangkok full day bike tour. We didn’t realise we were going to see so much. Our guide Bas was friendly, knowledgable and great to be around. Great service and such a fun day. Thank you!
Am, our guide, was extraordinary. Knew the city like the back of his hand, guided us safely, provided history and little known facts, showed us gems within the city. Super cool way to explore Bangkok. Traveled through neighborhoods and experienced street art, food, shops, cafes, people, parks and history. The best Bangkok experience of all which is saying a lot!
Recommended! It's a late review/feedback, but that experience is really a great treasure of us. Thanks Bangkok City Culture Tour... Thanks to our tour guide Mr. Best (Thatipoom Donsommai)
We had a great tour by bike and saw a lot of Bangkok. We went through the new and the old city. Thank you Pipe
The Tour was fantastic ... but also a little exhausting in the heat ;) So bring a lot of sunscreen an a cap! Our Guide Oh was great, told us a lot about the culture and had always a joke on her lips. But dont forget that you are cycling in Bangkok with all the "traffic", so be prepared!!
Biking through Bangkok is an adventure you don't wanne miss. Through alleys, over the main road during rushhour, almost through people's living rooms, over markets, old trainstation trails. Parks. With nice area views over the old and new city. If you love biking, you love this.
This tour gives you a very good view of the other side of Bangkok! Frienly guide, with good explanations. The organisation use good bikes.
we had a verry good bike tour with Amm, he tould us a lot of intressting things about Bangkok, the People and the life there. It was realy nice, at our next visit we book the Tour Colours of Bangkok Thanks a lot
This was so much fun. We were lucky to be the only people booked in so it felt like a personalised tour. Also it wasn't your usual Thai tour, An our tour guide made it very relaxed and didn't rush us in any way. She made me feel quite confident navigating the busy roads. Please wear the helmets the slums have quite dangerous roofing jutting out into the ally. Also, pick the morning tour where it's a little cooler. Great day, well recommended!!!!
We had booked this bike tour as part of an overall Thailand tour and boy were we happy to have done this! The tour takes you to rich and really poor neighbourhoods and shows sides of Bangkok you will not easily see. Actually far away from the tourist sights this tour shows what real life in Bangkok is all about. And we were so lucky with our guide Anne! She is such a nice radiant young woman with a smile to fall in love with you. She is quick and smart with great English and she knows her stuff. When in Bangkok just do it and don't hesitate and if you can get Anne to guide you your are twice lucky!
Nice trip with our group through the ancient city with young guides. We saw the poor part of the city with small houses and big marketplaces. It was difficult to cross the three high bridges with my bike, but the guide helped me.
We had a great time with this tour! Our instructor was very friendly and kept us safe by taking us on routes to avoid the traffic. We got to see some beautiful scenery as well as some less-traveled parts of town that were rich in culture. We also got to stop at a market and temple. The pace was just right. Water bottles are supplied and there is a bathroom break halfway through. The only thing that could have been improved was more explanations about the different parts of town as we biked--I would just ask if you want this, I am sure they can accommodate.
Are you a little adventurous, reasonably fit, and interested in learning about Bangkok beyond the trotten tourist path, Starbucks, and the usual glitzy shopping malls? Learn about the community of migrant workers, local buddhist temples and customs, huge markets and parks? Then this is a must! Beware however that you have to be comfortable to handle a bike in occasionally more than New York crazy traffic and rough street terrain, but most of the time the tour goes through the Hinterland of (very) small alleys and parks. You will see and learn a lot that you would otherwise never experience! Anne was our very charming and knowledgeable guide today. Highly recommend!
We did a city culture tour by bike on the 13th of january. It was a great experience, we saw al lot and our guide gave good informations and showed us great places in the city centre of Bangkok. We enjoyed every minute of it!
A great idea and lovely way to see and learn more on Bangkok and look a bit behind the curtains and experience things away from regular tourist tracks. We went to slums, kindergarten, across the river on small boat into some beautiful green lung of B. Ron chased me through a park with lake along narrow trails along small waterways to some temple – I won the race. Make sure with booking to tell them if you want sightseeing or some physical exercise, they happily provide both. Was an amazing adventure, thanks a million Ron you did a good job.
Easy - relaxed and pleasant trip to unknown area's of Bangkok. Even for not trained cyclist it's easy to do. Although you have to push ( or carry ) your bike up some stairs a few times. But it's easy to do and I can gladly recommend this trip.
Had a great tour. Seen many beautiful sides of Bangkok and the less beautiful ones. Really worth it. Received a lot of information. The guide knew a lot and was very helpful. Really recommended.
Really very nice, also with small children. We were with a family of seven and got two escorts. Our youngest of 3 was on the back and the 7-year-old was cycling himself. Although it was very hot, he loved it. The guides were super sweet, nice and spoke good English. They really took their time at every stop. Also the restaurant was very cozy and tasty. Highly recommended!
A big compliment to Thailand Biking. Yesterday I made a very nice bike ride through Bangkok through this organization. Indicated at the time of booking that I would like an electric bike for health reasons. This is then also neatly arranged for me for an extra amount. Unfortunately, the bike failed regularly while cycling. Which made it a tough trip for me. Back at the organization, of course, the bike worked. But I still got some of my money back. To my surprise, I suddenly received the message from the tour guide of my tour this morning that I am getting even more compensation from the owner of the bicycle company. He was very sorry that this happened, so hence my big compliments. Great service. Thailand Biking thanks. Bastien Heemskerk
It was a real pleasure to discover Bangkok, this wonderful city with a small 20km bike tour. Alexander is an extraordinary guide with a lot of humor. We laughed a lot. We also stopped by to try Thai boxing. Unfortunately, Alexander won. The lunch break was very simple but of impeccable quality in such a clean place. Enjoy discovering this wonderful city by bike while doing a little sport is not bad.
At Thailand Biking we made a half day tour through Bangkok. We were received very hospitably by André and his wonderful team. Before departure we got a good explanation about the traffic in Thailand and what we could expect from the tour. We cycled on busy roads and through a slum, stopped at a temple, went over a market with our bikes in hand and drove through a park. The conclusion with a delicious lunch was top. A great experience to discover Bangkok in this way.
We did a 3 hour bike ride through Thailand. Super fun and also impressive. Through back streets and past rickety huts we were taken by the Guide. You see Bangkok from a whole different side. Along the way you will get a bottle of water a number of times so you will be well taken care of. The Guide is enthusiastic and knows a lot about the places where we stop
We did a bike tour today, was really great, super good Guide Boss Highly recommended, show you the real Bangkok, extreme wealth and poverty
Nice varied tour, straight through Bangkok, cycling through the market, through Lumpini Park, a nice Thai lunch, on a smoothly cycling bike, and a very good guide. Highly recommended !
We went on a beautiful three-hour bike ride through Bangkok. Visited local market, slum, business center, temple, park etc.. impressive with a fantastic guide Mr B
We booked a tour of Bangkok but we were surprised at the beginning with an “upgrade” with lunch! Unfortunately, the tour was then through the jungle. Lunch was very good and the guide very nice. But unfortunately the wrong way ... too bad about the money.
pro mě bylo málo památek. Čekala jsem od toho víc. Byli však výborní průvodci. Jim patří velký dík. k
Top tour! Highly recommended. Old man! Seen some nice places. Nice beer afterwards, seen a lot, top time, very laughed.
Fantastic experience! We were very well received by others, and were introduced to our guide “P”. He took us through the cultural sites in Bangkok at a good pace and made sure everyone was involved. He was good at taking breaks and telling as well as answering questions about each destination. We got really much out of the trip and was super nice for a group of friends, but also something you can experience alone! We took the early trip which fits perfectly with the heat and we still had mass energy for the rest of the day. Can definitely be recommended and totally must see, as you cycle past some cultural places, you might not just have come alone.
Had a fantastic bike ride through Bangkok with André. He shows you exactly the places you want to see, we've seen things we never could have seen otherwise. André took care of the tour fantastically. Also advise everyone to do a bike ride here, not en masse & very good bikes, also not insignificant. Thanks again!!
The bike tour with Up as a guide shows you the back of Bangkok. Maybe not the first thing you think of for a tourist trip but you understand the city better afterwards cattle. Super to do. Thank you Up for the explanation.
We have done a bike ride twice before with Co van Kessel. Those were amazing! Through Chinatown and out of town. What a turn-off this trip from Bangkok Biking was if you compare it to Co van Kessel. We cycled on the highway!!! and had to climb over 6 high bridges by bike. Went to 2 parks where there was nothing to do at all. Walking yes, the bike stayed outside the park! What a travesty.
Fun and at the same time exciting by bike through busy Bangkok. Good guides. A lot is told and show fun and interesting things. Help you. If you are in Bangkok, definitely go cycling. Top
It was very rewarding and quite an experience by bike through Bangkok. The route was doable not because of the top crowds of the city.
In a half day you get to see a variation of the very lowest life of the Thai. Highly recommended.
Of course you can cycle as a Dutchman, but in the raging traffic of Bangkok is something else. No whining just go, there were some gestures explained, the bikes were custom made and in the quiet street just see how the gear worked. That all went fine, we were ready. A guide in front, one in the back and a flying lady who provided the video footage. It was fantastic, also because of the heavy traffic, on pieces of train tracks, almost through the back room of a Thai house, gravel paths, sandy paths, asphalt and pools of water. What a spoiled monkey we Dutch are, with our beautiful bike paths. Those beautiful bike paths are also a bit boring, cycling in Bangkok is certainly not. There was frequent stops for a landmark, a temple, a living community, a viewpoint, iguanas, and so on. Of course, the moisture content was kept on arrow, we were given a bottle of water and fruit was bought at the market, which was generously distributed in a park. During the stops, the sight was told. The guides were well informed and their English was fine. Another difference with the Netherlands, in Thailand a cyclist is seen as a pedestrian with wheels, so you can also cycle on the footpaths. If you were to do that in the Netherlands, you would be fined by your pants if things go wrong. Highly recommended, cycling in Bangkok.
A very nice tour, good bikes with several stops along the way for info about culture or to taste some fruit bought at the market. Braving you through the warren of traffic, but everything goes so relaxed, we Dutch can take an example of that!! And very nice that this was filmed! A valuable memory and would do it again!
We drove this tour a few days ago together with Amm. First you see the real Bangkok how people live, eat, shop, and relax. Amm our tour guide had a great eye for safety. At the end I got a beautiful movie as a keepsake. It was a great day thanks:-)
It was beyond top!!! Highlight of our trip to Bangkok Super fun guides who tirelessly guided us through slums, bizarre markets, parks and major streets!
You will get to places that you will never find yourself even with google maps. Highly recommended! TIP: don't ride your bike over the busy vegetable market.
What a bad experience, after a small welcome intro with the announcement that we could order such tasty baguettes for backorder (Hello I'm in Thailand, don't wait for a baguette and this has nothing to do with the excursion. Seemed like an extra credit to the company) the bikes were handed out. At the start there were already bad bikes that were not exchanged. The tour started under the guidance of 2 guides. After cycling a little bit, under the hassle of the broken bikes, someone from our group turned out not to be able to come, he was brought back by the female guide. After which this lady was put down to wait for us. The cup of coffee she was offered had to be paid for! Disgraceful! The tour went partly through small streets, squares etc. but went more straight through the traffic of the city. It would probably have been a lot closer to announcing this tour if people had given clear information about the tour, the course, the obstacles that had to be taken in the tour, or whether or not it would be suitable for all ages and conditions (carrying on bridge, bridge off with your bike, maybe not everyone's age or condition is suitable for this), The pace of the guide, the failure to solve the "broken" or in bad condition, was ridiculous. Perhaps with the right information people could have decided not to participate. In this tour we met a guide who started it, the video is proof of this, everyone cycled a lot slower than the guide's race, there was almost no information shared about the city, and there was hardly time for a photo! On return, several complaints were made, which were not heeded. Really very bad, unprofessional and certainly not customer friendly. I really wouldn't recommend this tour at this company!
What a super experience. You drive through narrow streets away from touristy Bangkok. You can see how Thais live in Bangkok. At a leisurely pace you pass markets and smell the smells of the city. If you want to see something of this city without adornment I definitely recommend this!
If you already have an image of Bangkok, but want to see what real life is like: do it! I would definitely recommend the Bangkok City Culture bike tour. Thatipoom knew how to tell us a lot and did this with great enthusiasm! Even if we had questions in between there was room for that. Thanks to Thatipoom we got to know a new part of Bangkok, which you don't see easily as a tourist. And another nice addition is the GoPro video that is made for you while riding. So you can always look back;).
