I had a wonderful experience with our guide, Ms. Lin. She was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. She explained everything in great detail, especially about the places and temples we visited in Bangkok. I learned so much about the history, culture, and significance of each place. This afternoon tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Thailand. The historical sites of Ayutthaya are absolutely breathtaking, and each location has its own unique story and atmosphere. The famous Wat Mahathat with the Buddha head entwined in tree roots was incredible to see in person. Wat Lokayasutharam and its impressive Reclining Buddha were equally memorable, while Wat Na Phra Meru offered a fascinating glimpse into Ayutthaya’s rich past. The Portal of Time Temple was another beautiful and unique stop that made the experience even more special. A special thank you to our guide Lin, who made the entire tour unforgettable. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and always happy to answer questions. Her explanations brought the history of these ancient temples to life, and her warm personality and positive energy made the day even more enjoyable. We had a great afternoon visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park, Mahathat Temple, Logaya Temple, Na Phra Maru Temple, and the Portal of Time Temple. The temples were beautiful, and it was very interesting to learn more about Thailand’s history. We had a truly unforgettable day in Ayutthaya and so much of that was thanks to our guide and driver, who were exceptional from start to finish. More than just taking us from place to place, he guided us through stories. Every temple, every ruin, every detail came to life through his deep knowledge, always shared in a light, engaging, and fascinating way. It felt like traveling back in time, understanding not only what we were seeing, but the meaning behind it all. On top of that, his care throughout the day made all the difference. He was always attentive to our pace, our needs, and even the smallest details, cold water, well, timed breaks, spot-on suggestions all delivered with patience and genuine kindness that made the experience even more special. The combination of knowledge, attention, and a true desire to create the best possible experience turned a simple tour into something memorable. As far as the tour is concerned it was good. We paid for a private tour, but it was disappointing that the company wanted to penny pinch on the lunch. The positives: - Good tour guide - Flexible, but then again, it was a private tour. the negatives: - the vehicle provided was an old SUV which compared to other private tours felt a bit cramped. - the tour comes with a "complimentary" lunch which is at a restaurant of their choice. The budget that they had allocated per person ( 200 baht) covers only the cheapest meal ( 180 baht) and a water. Initially we weren't even given the choice to order what we wanted. Later when we said that we don't want the meal that they ordered, they agreed to allow us to choose with the condition that we pay for anything extra. Considering we had paid close to £240 ( almost 10,000 baht) for the tour, penny pinching for a few hundred baht just spoiled our experience.

Boombiim was so amazing she guided us through the temples and the history behind the stories and traditions of Bangkok. She helped us navigate Bangkok and arranged another tour that catered to all the things and places we wanted to explore. Her attention to our needs was outstanding. This tour is a must and if you want an experience that you will not regret book this tour and ask for Boombiim. We also need to shout out to the driver he was also outstanding. It was 33 degrees and he was ready with water and cold cloth when we got back to the car.

Highly recommend this experience. The temples were beautiful. The lunch was delicious. Ice was the best guide. He even bought us some local treats which were delicious. We booked a tour with him for the next day too and can’t wait.

This tour was wonderful!! Our tour guide was Poppy who was an outstanding guide. It was a seamless tour—our car was always waiting when we finished sightseeing and Poppy told us all about the history and functions of the shrines. Poppy called the restaurant ahead so our food was ready right when we arrived and sat down. The food was AMAZING!! My daughter loved the chicken dish so much that she made us order a second one. Poppy asked us our preference and ordered the food ahead of time for us. The coconut soup was probably the best I’ve ever had in all my life. Poppy took videos of us at all the picture spots and made a video for us which she sent to me before the tour ended. She is so thoughtful and funny and welcoming and we loved our time with her. I highly recommend going on this tour—it made our day so easy and took all the hard work out of our hands.

Poppy, our guide during this amazing journey, made us feel like family. Her knowledge of the history , architecture, and local culture and customs made this visit one we will treasure. Her genuine commitment to share her knowledge of Thailand was greatly appreciated.

Mr. Adam was a terrific and very knowledgeable guide - we learned a lot and had a great day! Also Mr. Lucky was a very good and safe driver, which was especially appreciated on the stormy return trip. The lunch spot was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Tour honestly isn’t worth the money they charge. Very bland tour overall without many activities at each site. Overall, it simply wasn’t worth the price.

There may be different tours - ours picked us up at the train station pier and took us to three temples/monasteries that can be accessed by water. We got out at each and had ~20 minutes to look around before the tour resumed. After the Third (and best) temple, the boat continues around the large island that is home to the historic park and dropped us back at the pier. I have some caveats: you need to be very nimble to get in and out of the long boat - stepping over seats etc. At the third temple, there wasn’t even a dock - we just go out on the river bank. You will need to buy a 50 bhat ticket to see the third temple. There is no narration so we didn’t really know what we were looking at. The first two are busy complexes and it doesn’t seem important to see them at sunset but the final set of ruins was very beautiful in the low sun. Bottom line- wasn’t expensive and fun to be on the water but not a professional tour.

Adam was very knowledgeable about the temples and history. Definitely recommend. Enjoyed the river cruise.around the island to the temple grounds. Fantastic to see the size of the structures.

We really enjoyed this tour and had two tours with Thailand Insight Travel which were both fantastic. We very much enjoyed the commentary of our tour guide Adam as well as the convenience of having private driver Bond. These ruins and temples were very much worth seeing.

Overall great experience and breathtaking to see that amazing place. Felt a little rushed through the first couple of stops only to then being placed for >2 hours for late lunch. That’s a little awkward for an individual trip; they could have easily added one more stop to reduce waiting time. Also, my guide was very busy to take pictures for himself, sometimes had trouble to get him out of my picture. For the price some improvements are needed to earn 5*

Really great day, with Pook as our guide. She was sincerely friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. She ran a well organized tour with a logical flow, and we learned quite a bit. She was also good with the camera, extra bonus. The driver was also perfect — made coordination seamless, always promptly on time, with a very clean and comfortable car. We have been to Bangkok several times, but this will certainly stand out as a day to remember.

Well planned tour with the right number of temples, well explained tour, great lunch break and beautiful boat tour. The tour guide, Abhinap, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful with pictures and answering questions. The driver, Simran, was very friendly, always greeted us with smiles, and timed all the pickups perfectly! Highly recommend this tour and especially with Abhinop & Simran!!!

We enjoyed the tour of the many temples of Ayutthaya. Our guide and driver were knowledgeable and friendly. It was a memorable day. We lucked out and weather held out for us and we were able to have a lovely sunset boat ride. The only disappointment for the day was lunch. Don't expect much. The lunch was not good. Other than that it was a lovely day

We had the most amazing day and got visit many temples! Our tour guide Lin was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history as she toured us round the temples. She also answered all of our questions and accommodated our every need! The driver kevin dropped us of and picked us up at every location and ensured the bus was nice and cold, as it was a very hot day. He also opened the door and helped us all on and off. We finished the day off with the most beautiful sunset boat ride and got see all the temples at the river edge. We would recommend this tour to all our family and friends. Great day out with Kevin and Lin. Amazing tour of all the temples of the old capital. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and I learnt a lot about Thailand's amazing history. The boat ride at sunset was fantastic and it was beautiful to see all of the riverside landmarks light up at night! Would definitely recommend!!!

Lin (guide) and Kevin (driver) were amazing today. It was 40 degrees (104 F), and they made sure we had LOTS of water, and umbrella for shade, and had the AC high in the car. We had great food as well at a nice restaurant. Lin is extremely knowledgeable about Thai culture and is very passionate about her job. She is dedicated to making sure visitors have a wonderful experience, and finds vicarious happiness when they do. This excursion was part of our honeymoon, and it was romantic and special. We saw many temples today that were very beautiful, and Lin took photos of us the whole time so we can cherish these memories. Ayutthaya is worth the trip, and Lin is the best guide!

Lin and Kevin were amazing, They picked us up at our hotel in Bangkok and took us to multiple beautiful temples in the area. Lin is a wealth of knowledge and took photos of my wife and I throughout the whole experience. I would highly recommend booking a tour and or an experience with them. Lin is very good at what she does and was such a joy to be around, she really made the whole experience feel first class. Kevin is a great driver and even in the traffic made us feel safe. They provided water the entire time and being that it was 104 out that was necessary!

What a wonderful experience we had as a family with two children (7&3) on this private tour to Ayutthaya and the temples. We were picked up very promptly by our fantastic and super friendly guide Lin at our hotel. During our bus ride out to Ayutthaya our guide Lin shared with us the history of where we were going and of Thailand in general which was very interesting. She kindly answered any questions we had too. Throughout the day we visited a range of temples where further information was shared and lots of photographs were taken. We never felt rushed at any site, allowing us to spend as much or as little time as we wanted. She was particularly attentive to ensure that we were all okay, particularly our young children who adored her. The weather came in when we were due to have the boat tour and she suggested a dinner stop instead. She had ordered ahead and on arrival dinner was served. After dinner, she managed to organise a boat tour where the children were able to feed the fish in the river - which they thought was fantastic. An excellent day trip with many memories and so many photographs taken. Thank you Lin once again. We would highly recommend this trip.

Ayutthaya is amazing and this tour covers all of the main sites. Our driver was great and our tour guide was helpful. Lunch was ok. Sunset boat trip did not take place at sunset. Worth visiting but more information about the sites sould have been very helpful.

Pui was a wonderful guide and the whole experience was delightful and well paced. Recommended. The boat trip was relaxing and when we arrived at the endpoint we got a bonus of a Thai music festival and food fair :)

We had a lovely day with Pop looking around the temples. Lunch was delicious - we were taken to a lovely local restaurant and able to select food and drink from the menu. The boat ride was also a lovely experience, and a nice, relaxed way to end the tour before our car ride back to Bangkok. Thank you for a lovely day!

From the start our private tour to Ayutthaya was brilliant. Our guide was great at confirming collection times a few days ahead of our trip taking place and was very punctual. After settling ourselves in a very comfortable mini van with introductions all round, we headed out of the city to Ayutthaya. Along the way, she shared historical information about where we were going and happily answered any further questions we may had. However, she also gave us time to just relax and enjoy the ride there. During the trip, we were kept informed of where we were, what we were seeing and there were constant wellbeing checks regarding loo stops or if we needed a drink and ensuring we were able to stay in shade to minimise the intense heat of the day. She was great with our two young children too, helping them to spot things and give them interesting facts. The weather changed for the worse and it looked like we would not be able to enjoy the sunset boat ride to the final temple, however, after amending the schedule and an hour later after stopping for dinner, she had managed to busily rescheduled a boat trip with a fish feeding opportunity for our children & a whistle-stop tour of the final temple, just before the gates closed for the evening. We arrived back at our hotel, very tired, but very happy having had a fantastic trip! Later that evening we received a huge file of photographs she had taken during the trip which was a lovely surprise. Points to consider: Dress conservatively covering shoulders & knees at least Take an umbrella to shield you from the intense heat / sun rays - it is a very open site Take plenty of water with you Ensure you have small change to pay for use of the loos

We decided last minute to take the tour and Ice graciously accommodated us. He was the best! We truly felt cared for with water, delicious food, charging my phone, and even toilet paper! He spoke great English, was very polite, and taught us about Thai culture, history, and more about Buddhism. I should also mention he’s a great photographer! Overall, we were so happy we started our trip this way. The World Heritage site was amazing and the river cruise a highlight. We highly recommend it!

We just had an amazing day with our tour guide Adam and his driver Simran. We visited many temples and related historic sites before going for a late lunch and getting a boat trip to see last temple of the day. Adam was exceptionally kind and he made sure we were comfortable during the trip including bottles of iced water and snacks. Adam also gave us plenty historical facts. It was worth paying a bit more to do this trip privately. We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you again Adam & Simran

Very spiritual experience! We saw amazing temples and had a chance to cruise on the river. Thai people are very kind, hospitable, not pushy, very calm and easy to be around. Our guide Nine was very informative and knowledgeable! Food was incredibly delicious

The food offered was veey cheap. Also the car was too old and uncomfortable. The guide didn't know anythi g about the history of the temples or summer palace. The experience is nice just to see the temples and arrived to the last one by boat is nice. However is not 1 hour trip in boat as they mention.

Lin and Ole were amazing. From the responsiveness even before the tour, to the change in pickup location, to their stamina in the Thai heat! Going around 5 temples in the Ayutthaya was a great way to experience and learn a bit about Thai history. The boat ride at the end was a great cap to the trip.
