Great tour. We had a great time and experience. Rawat is very knowledgeable, funny, friendly and good photographer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Bang Pa-In Palace is ancient palace back to Ayutthaya era. The Royal Palace at Bang Pa-In has a history dating back to the 17 th century. The palace is divide into 2 zone one is inner zone that for royal family to use as a resting place the other zone is outer zone that open for normal people and tourist. The architecture and art style of this palace is truly a masterpiece there are carving art on every wall the main chamber floor is Jay tile with art paint on each tile also surrounding area decorate by Chinese furniture and decoration.
It is one of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya as it housed the Buddha's holy relic. The temple is located in the area of the Ayutthaya Historical Park. where important royal ceremonies of the Ayutthaya era were held.
The Historic City of Ayutthaya, founded in 1350. The city was attacked and razed by the Burmese army in 1767 who burned the city to the ground and forced the inhabitants to abandon the city. The city was never rebuilt in the same location and remains known today as an extensive archaeological site. Ayutthaya is now an archaeological ruin, characterized by the remains of tall prang (reliquary towers) and Buddhist monasteries of monumental proportions, which give an idea of the city’s past size and the splendor of its architecture.
Built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, Wat Chai Wattanaram was conceived as a replica of the Angkor temple. The architectural style influenced by Angkor temple in Cambodia-its unique feature is a large, central prang (Khmer-style pagoda) surrounded by smaller prangs.
Phra Mongkhon Bophit is one of the largest bronze Buddha images in Thailand with its measures of (approx) 9.5 meters across the lap and a height of 12.5 meters (without the pedestal). The Buddha image is seated in the position of Subduing Mara. Wat Mongkhon Bophit is an 'active' temple compound, and throughout the day many people visit and worship the Buddha image.
The Temple is not only a significant historical site, but also considered as the spiritual centre of Thais for a long time. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is the royal monastery and therefore no monk is allowed to reside. At the heart of the temple, there are three adjacent Ceylonese (or bell-shaped) pagodas situated on rectangular platforms. It is believed that these platforms were the base of royal houses in the Ayutthaya period.

UNESCO is a really interesting place to see and it is not far outside of Bangkok. We enjoyed the private tour as it gave us the opportunity to learn a great deal about the rich history of Ayutthaya. The ruins are fascinating! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. And he knew the perfect places for mango sticky rice, ice cream and coconut water to cool down. It s very hot when walking around the ruins, bring a hat or grab an umbrella on your way in to the sites.
A well paced tour. Our guide listened to us and made sure we did everything we wanted then added a few nice touches such as a lunch stop with great food. It was hot so he also suggested placed to buy water and found umbrellas for us at each stop. Great trip and good value for money.
We had a fantastic experience with Rawwat! He has a vast knowledge of the Royal history and he is delightful to be around. He took good care of us and ensured we had a meaningful experience.
We had an outstanding experience exploring and learning about Ayutthaya! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Transit was timely and comfortable. A really memorable experience!!
Really great if short on time and want to customise what you do. So hot at this time or year and Fern did a great job of adapting our plan to suit us. Loved all the great pics Fern helped us take. Highly recommend
Pick up was smooth and friendly. Rawat our guide knew his stuff and was happy to tell us. He was also very perceptive , recognising when we had had enough. Suggesting shorter pathways, pointing out toilets and water stops and Organising lunch. Great Job. I appreciate it. R
Andy was a great tour guide! It was great learning about the history and seeing the sites. Really enjoyed it.
Rawat was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained each part of our journey in detail and answered all of our questions Highly recommend this excursion!
The trip to Ayuttayah with Rawat and Pat was a great experience. Rawat, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable, caring and enthusiastic, ensuring the day was tailored to our groups varying needs as the day went on. Additionally, the driver was fantastic, ensuring a safe and stress free journey- which is not often something you feel whilst being in Bangkok! I would highly recommend this trip to anybody wanting to see the ancient Thai ruins whilst in the hustle and hustle of Bangkok.
Our guide (Wat, whose name is something else but said to call him this) was a wealth of information throughout the whole day. He was also very accommodating to what we wanted to do/see. We weren’t interested in stopping for lunch, which he completely understood and it was nice to have the day shortened slightly by that and get back to Bangkok with time to still spend the day around our hotel.
We had an excellent experience with our guide Rawat for a private tour. He came early for our pick up and explained how the day will proceed. Rawat was knowledgeable about surroundings and spoke about it. The tour can be tailored to how long or short you want to see each site. The tour was seamless as I did not want to think about where to go and the logistics. Driver was great too as he drove efficient and took short cut backroads to avoid traffic. If you don’t want to do the tour group bus thing and want to do a tour at your own pace then check this out.
I could not believe my eyes. It's mesmerizing. While you visit Bangkok. The area that needs to be covered is wide and vast, so take the buggy for sure
Excellent tour from Bangkok to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and Auytthaya. Our guide Kulsaya and our driver were excellent. Kulsaya contacted us the day before to introduce herself and check we knew the dress code requirements for the Summer Palace as they are stricter than for temples (i.e. no shorts for men). Pick-up from our hotel was punctual and followed by a drive of around 1h30 to the beautiful Summer Palace, which was amazing to visit. After that we visited three different locations at amazing Auytthaya, a true taste of Thailand's history! Kulsaya was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the history of all the sights and of Thailand - we learned so much! She was also extremely good at finding the perfect spot for photos! It was an incredibly hot day and we were struggling quite a bit with the heat but Kulsaya was professional, thoughtful and fun the whole time, even stopping to get us ice-cold bottles of water to keep us hydrated and cool when we exited from one of the temple sights. Handy hint - all of the Auytthaya sights we visited had free umbrellas available to borrow to keep the sun off so that did help a bit. Also you can't enter with water or iced drinks etc - if you have any you will have to drink or dispose of them before you'll be allowed to enter. The whole day ran perfectly to schedule, apart from the return journey due to the traffic. But our driver handled it well, knew a few short cuts and drove safely at all times. Definitely a great tour to see two of Thailand's most amazing historical sights, highly recommended!
Rawat was an incredibly knowledgable guide and was fantastic throughout the day. We had a few complex logistics (wanting to end our day at the airport) and he was incredibly accommodating, making a travel day incredibly enjoyable!
Beautiful day with an experienced guide
I really enjoyed this tour. If you like history, architecture or just beautiful places you will love it.
Great day trip from Bangkok. Lots to see in Ayutthaya. Our guide, Wat, was very helpful and well informed. He also took great pictures!
I reserved this tour for my family and I but I needed to change the date of the tour because of a work situation and when 2 months before the tour original date I tryed to move forward the date of the tour, this people quoted me the tour on the new date with almost 100% increase in the price. Fortunately they let me cancel the reservation without a charge but we are very disapointed
Brilliant day, great guide and justice right amount of time.
We enjoyed our private tour and the ability to choose the places we wanted to see - tour guide was informative and helpful
I got a tour from Chacha, who was awesome. His english is very good but not perfect. There were times that it was a challenge to follow, but that doesn't bother me. He can speak multiple languages whereas I can only speak one, so who am I to judge. If that is a crucial aspect for you, it might not be the right fit. That said, as a solo traveler, I was hesitant of spending the extra money but the ability to say, "I'm done here, let's go" or "let me have a few minutes here to shop" and the flexibility to accommodate was great. A lot of the ruins are repetitive / mirrors etc. so I didn't think I'd need as much time as other tours had slated as well. I was right, we ended back to my hotel about 90 minutes early - Chacha commented that I don't spend as much time as other tourists. I recommend for smaller groups or solo travelers looking to be able to adjust the timing and spend the right amount of time per site as suits you. I have taken a few day trips when I am only spending three nights in a city and it does feel like it is a big commitment of time. Trimming 90 minutes back to seeing more of Bangkok was the right fit for me.
We had an amazing experience on our Ancient City Ayutthaya Private Guided Day Tour thanks to Tuk! From start to finish, everything was seamless, informative, and enjoyable. Tuk was incredibly knowledgeable about Ayutthaya’s history and explained everything in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. What really stood out was Tuk’s friendliness, patience, and attention to detail. We never felt rushed, and the day flowed perfectly. It truly felt like exploring with a knowledgeable friend rather than just a guide. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Tuk. Thank you for making our day in Ayutthaya so memorable!
Undre was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Thailand and made this tour memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Worthwhile experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the places I visited. Drive was comfortable. The ruins of the ancient city were very interesting.
A wonderful experience touring the palace and Old Siam site. Car ride was comfortable. Plenty of time to see each site at a comfortable pace. Tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of each site.
While traveling overseas we never expect others to speak English...unless we specifically book and pay for an English speaking guide. Our guide spoke very little English and it was impossible to understand him or get any meaningful information about this cultural site from him. In the end we asked him to wait for us while we wandered on our own. We still didn't learn anything but at least we didn't have him following us around forcing us to take staged photographs. Informed the tour company of this. We would have appreciated an offer for a partial refund but they did not. They offered basic apologies but that didn't change the fact that they didn't provide the service we paid for.
Our guide Rawat was very knowledgeable and helpful in visiting all of the sites. It was both an excellent cultural experience and education
Rawat and his lovely driver met us in the lobby of our hotel. They were extremely friendly and knowledgable about the history of the city. A ride was comfortable and air-conditioned and they were kind enough to show us a local restaurant for lunch. We invited them to have lunch with us, but they politely declined. Rawat knew all the best places to take photos of my wife and I, which were truly fantastic. Thank you both for a great day.
Tour was extremely enjoyable, educational and well structured. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about visiting Thailand.
We had a private tour to Ayutthaya and were disappointed, not by the place, but by our guide Wot. One issue is that it was difficult to understand him because of a strong accent. This could be forgiven, especially since we ourselves are not native English speakers, if he had interesting things to say. But unfortunately that was not the case. He is probably a knowledgeable guy, but what he told us was a relatively small assorted collection of facts delivered in a difficult to follow way, where the lack of a story was exacerbated by constant self-interruptions. At the same time he was very eager to show us the right spots to take pictures, which quickly became somewhat annoying, since this should not be the main role of a guide. Overall we thought afterwards that we would be better off hiring just a private driver for a day. That would cost us less than a half of what we paid, and we would have more freedom to explore the places on our own without missing much in terms of guidance.
Was great to discover and explore the temples of Ayutthaya - both the ruins and the newer rebuilt temples. Really is a stunning place you just go see to give you a better perspective on Thai history. The tour guide Ken was great, very friendly with lots of information about each place and history.
This was a wonderful experience and highly recommended. My guide Rawat was excellent and he coordinated well with the driver. Rawat was very knowledgeable about Ayutthaya and suggested stopping at a stand to get a sweet that you can only get in the area. It was sooo delicious and I loved it!! He also knew where to take the absolute best pictures which I so appreciated. Do yourself a favor and invest in a guided tour while you are here especially if you are solo. It makes life so much easier and pleasurable. I have wonderful memories of my two guided tours I have taken while in Bangkok and will treasure my time here.
Highly recommend this tour - we learned so much. Our tour guide, Rawat, was excellent! Highly knowledgeable, friendly, took us through all stops at a pace that suited us. The driver was also great and made our journey to all the sites and back to our hotel smooth. If you're going to Thailand, check out this tour and the amazing team who run it!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Ancient City Ayutthaya Private Guided Day Tour, made truly exceptional by our guide, Rawat. From start to finish, the day was engaging, informative, and so much fun. Rawat was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Ayutthaya and brought every site to life with fascinating stories and insights. His passion for the city was infectious, and he explained everything in a clear, engaging way that made the experience both educational and enjoyable. What really set Rawat apart was his personality—he was fun, friendly, and made the whole day feel relaxed and personal. He was great at reading the group, answering questions, and keeping the tour flowing at a perfect pace. Nothing ever felt rushed, and we always felt well looked after. The private tour format made the experience even more special, allowing us to explore at our own pace and really take in the beauty and history of Ayutthaya. It was a memorable day and a real highlight of our trip. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Thailand, and especially recommend Rawat as a guide—he truly made the experience unforgettable.
Excellent. It was a comprehensive tour by an experienced guide and driver. The guide was extremely kind and was very thoughtful in looking after my elderly mother. They went above and beyond in making sure we had an excellent time.
I have used this tour company twice and they have been amazing. Rawat the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took many pictures and was professional. Great job
The trip was excellent and definitely worth the price. It was a private couple’s tour for me and my partner, which made the experience very special. The driver was considerate, and the guide, Mr. Rawat, was outstanding, patient, knowledgeable, and provided much more than just basic explanations about the places we visited.
This tour was great if you want to escape the big city of Bangkok and see some historic sites. We went to four sites that were each unique and also had an authentic Thai lunch on the river which was lovely. The guide was very knowledgeable about the sites and we had a great time!
Driver and guide were great and really friendly. Got to see all the good sights and the guide knew the best photo spots. He also gave me good ideas for where to hit up on the night time when we were on our way back, complete legend.
We spent an enjoyable day with Rawat as our tour guide touring Ayutthia and the Summer Palace. He was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable about the areas and presented it in a way that made it interesting for each of us. He went out of his way to accommodate us with stops along the way to purchase local Thai treats. His choice of restaurant for us for lunch was excellent. We enjoyed his sense of humor and his friendliness. Thank you Rawat for an amazing day!
This private day tour was a great experience, was able to see many sites. Rawat was very knowledgeable and able to steer us towards our interests & likes. They were so friendly and accommodating with alot of knowledge on the history!!! Wonderful tour, would absolutely recommend!
The guide arrived early to the hotel and waited for us. We took the tour beginning at 8h30, we began it a 8h. We had a car just for the 3 of us, our guide was friendly, polite, joyful and loved explain history. We visited several spot and he kindly took us in photo. Everything was paid, he asked us several tie if we wanted to eat or where the wc were. We returned at 16h app. Your return point can be different than the start point. A bottle of water is offered. Not deceived by this toue. Just think about having a long pant and a shirt and all will be fine.
The Summer Palace and Ayutthaya proved a great trip. We took a private tour and had an excellent guide in Rawat who took great care to ensure a good and safe experience. Thank you to Rawat and our fine driver.
Excellent tour with guide yut and driver pat. Lots of history and beautiful sites. I Highly recommend
We joined the Ayutthaya temple tour with Yut for the second time, and once again he was amazing. He’s extremely knowledgeable, not only about the temples we visited but also about Thai history and culture in general. As we requested, Yut and the driver took us to our favorite temple, which turned out to be such a peaceful and blessed experience. The driver was also wonderful, she even offered us free flowers to make offerings inside the pagoda and shared her own set with us, which was incredibly kind. Throughout the trip, she continued to give small offerings toward the temples from her own belongings. The van was comfortable and well-prepared with cold drinks, cold towels, tissues, snacks, and everything we needed. It was a truly warm and memorable experience, and we’re so grateful to both Yut and the driver for making our day so special.
Rawat was very knowledgeable about the sites visited. He explained the historical significance and overall context of each site in Thailand’s history and culture. He took great pictures of us at each site. The driver was courteous, safe and kept the car cool throughout the day. Rawat took us to a great local restaurant for lunch and stopped in at a cafe for a roti only made in that region. The tour was relaxed, adjusted to our interests and well organized.
Amazing tour. Lily was the best guide and Pat was a great driver. Would definitely recommend. Very friendly experience and Lily helped take amazing photos of great memories.
Absolutely the BEST tour – highly recommend! This tour exceeded all our expectations! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned and executed. One of our favorite parts was having a cool, air-conditioned car waiting for us at the end of each temple walk—such a game-changer in the heat! We also appreciated the constant supply of cold water bottles (not just one like many other tours offer), which kept us refreshed throughout the day. The restaurant choice was fantastic—beautifully set right on the water with phenomenal food that my kids are still talking about. The location and ambiance were perfect. Our guide, Kiki, was incredible. She was warm, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. She went at our pace, never rushed us, and even adjusted the itinerary so we could see more. She pointed out the best photo spots and took amazing pictures for us. We learned so much about the history and the modern royal family—she really brought everything to life. We walked away feeling enriched, well taken care of, and full of unforgettable memories. Truly the best tour we’ve done anywhere. Don’t think twice—book this tour!
It was a long ride from Bangkok to see some of the most destroyed and neglectedtemples that we have seen since we left Bali. What a shame. Guide was more interested in taking our pictures constantly than giving us valuable history.
