I was visiting Thailand and thought this hotel looked nice, but unfortunately, it was completely different from what I expected. The hotel was filthy and poorly maintained, which made my stay very unpleasant. If you’re planning to stay here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. In my experience, this was a terrible hotel and definitely not worth it.

Place was fine for its price point. Paid 13 a night which is great! But it showed. The towels I was using had stains that were so distracting the towel was no longer white, more of a yellowy-brown. No shower curtain or physical seperation between shower head and other appliances, so showering meant getting water literally all over the toilet and sink (I might also just be incompetent) because it was a tight space. Mattress are firm on the back. Other than that tv was a plus the cupboards were modern and the desks were useful and everything else worked well. Staff were kind and seemed to care about their jobs. Only point off was they sent two other people to my room with room cards for it one while I was dressing haha, so not sure how that happened but benefit of the doubt :/ makes for some good stories though and shes got good personality!
The hotel itself is nice but my room was full of mould. although it’s cheap I would not recommended this hotel. Nearby and closer to the train line is Clef and Marigold and they are a similar cost
Terrible customer service; they didn't like us booking this hotel. They didn't seem to like us checking in. The hotel was awful because they hadn't paid their electricity bill on the day of the power outage. They wouldn't even help customers with their luggage on the 7th floor, even when we had to climb the stairs.
I have stayed at many properties in Bangkok over the years, but this was my first time staying this far out, so I was not sure what to expect. I ended up staying at Theorie for over a month, and it's honestly one of the best budget long-stay experiences I've had. The staff are extremely professional. Even though I arrived well before check-in time, the front desk arranged a room for me as quickly as they could. Their attention to small details really stood out - from saving the last tender coconut for me (I was having one daily) to the cleaning staff who consistently did an excellent job (I've watched them clean the room adjacent). The location is great for a long stay. Everything you need - food, bars, restaurants, laundry, convenience stores, etc are just a few hundred meters away and the area is quiet, away from the city chaos. The pool is well-maintained too. The gym is however not the best since it lacks equipment, but it's usable. The reception stocks a small but useful selection of snacks, and there is also a fridge with alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks, tender coconuts, fruit bowls and ready-to-eat meals. The only drawback is the distance from the city center, but they balance this out with a dedicated tuk-tuk service to Bearing and Bang Na BTS stations, which makes commuting easy. If you are in Bangkok for business and want a budget-friendly long stay with good connectivity, Theorie is a great choice. I will definitely be returning on my next business trip.
