The Grand Sathorn

We had a lovely stay at The Grand Sathorn. The rooms are absolutely huge and very spacious, which was a real highlight and made the stay very comfortable. The hotel is a little dated and could definitely benefit from some updating, particularly the bathrooms. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but I think this is largely due to the age and condition of the fittings rather than a lack of effort from the staff. Unfortunately, our air conditioning stopped working on one of the nights. However, the staff were very quick to respond and organised another room for us to move into, which we really appreciated. The staff throughout our stay were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it if you’re looking for a hotel with very spacious rooms and friendly staff. ❤️

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated their welcoming attitude and willingness to assist. There were just a couple of things that could be improved. I noticed some insects in the room, so I would recommend the hotel take additional measures, such as using suitable insect protection, to help keep them away from the rooms. Also, slippers were not provided, which would have been a nice and useful addition for guests. With a little more attention to these details, the hotel could provide an even better experience.

Excellent location. We arrived at 10am, so were told that we could check in before 2pm if we paid additional 1000BHT which worked well for us. As rooms were not ready they did upgrade us to a deluxe room. However no receipt for the 1000BHT was given. The room was really massive and good.. So very happy with that. They had standard breakfast options plus Thai breakfast options. Location is excellent. Just a 5-7 min walk to Taksin MRT and a 10min walk to the Sathorn pier. It is a 30min journey to The Grand Palace.

The Grand Sathorn has the perfect location. You can reach the BTS Skytrain in 5min and the boat Pier in 7min. The Metro is about 6min away. Everything you need is close by. The Service is great, the reception is available at all times. The Rooftop pool is big enough for real swimming and you have a great view over the city while relaxing at the rooftop bar, which has better prices than most of the normal bars in the street. Our room was very spacious and the A/C is working perfectly, maybe even a bit too cold, so you would have to turn it down a bit. There are free pool towels and free water comes with the room service everyday, which can be added to the list of great service. The Hotel is not the newest and there a few leaks in the bathroom here and there, the Bathtub-Shower could be renewed as it is loose and a bit worn off, but it doesn’t really matter. These are very minor inconveniences compared to the great experience overall, especially the great pricing. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the friendly staff.
