This 5 star hotel is located in the city centre of Bangkok and was established in 1984. It is a short drive away from the Erawan Shrine and the nearest station is BTS Ploen Chit. Spacious hotel with attentive staffs.
Location can be quite off from conveniences especially public transportation. Taking Grab would be best choice if not wanting to meet some unfortunate from certain taxis.
If want to enjoy pampering yourself with aesthetics benefits, this is the right place and with confident in doctors here.
Good size Gym and Pool and steams too.
Room was quiet, neat, and tidy and well kept. Large shower with easy to adjust temperature too.
Good soft yet fully support mattress.
Lots of sockets for electronics.
Hardly find any local cheap eats and limited upscale restaurants here.
Close to a couple large upscale malls. The pool garden is fantastic. We got a room at a discounted price which quickly ended up looking like a rip-off - decoration from the nineties and a squeaky bed. The rest of the hotel seemed comfy and recently updated.
The hotel has a nice atmosphere even though it's huge. The staff is always very helpful and caring. The rooms are well kept and all rooms (I believe? ?) Have a balcony. Either with "city view" or garden view. Pool area is well planned and a perfect oasis in the Bangkok heat. The garden is beautiful and now the exciting area next door is open after years of reconstruction. (Nai Lert Heritage ).
It's age is both good and bad: the public areas and particularly the gardens are tasteful and well maintained. However the rooms are a bit battered and probably due a renovation soon.

I doubt about the service quality. As a 5-star hotel, it shouldn't make the guests waiting and waiting for the check-in while the check-in time had already passed. I didn't mean to be picky but I couldn't not feel any better with the attitude of the staff at reception. Maybe the management efficiency can be improved.
